It sometimes happen that you forget your Applock passwords and find most of your apps to be locked. Nothing would be more annoying than this. We don't have time to reset our Android.

So today we're up with the simplest and quickest trick to Bypass your Applock Passwords.

You probably wouldn't have thought that it would be that simple.

Step 1.

Go to Settings > Apps
Find the App which you use to password protect your apps ( Here we are using AppLock).

Step 2.

Force Stop the App.
Now try to open your locked Apps. It'll not ask for the password or pattern lock.

(If Force Stop doesn't work, Clear the Data of AppLock to get access to your locked apps).

The biggest problem we all face with our android is its hell amount of time to get it fully charged. And there's nothing worse than a dead phone in this world.

So today we are going to find a solution to that.

1. Put the Phone to Airplane mode

Putting the phone on airplane mode saves about 75% battery of your device. You will surely find it helpful while charging your phone.

2. Switch off Mobile Data, WiFi and GPS

These are not necessary all the time, at least not while charging as they tend to drain a lot of battery.

3. Set your Green bot's Screen Brightness to Lowest
Changing your brightness settings may positively affect the charging speed of your Android. So let it go to lowest while its being charged.

4. Forcing Some Apps to Stop Temporarily
This is an effective option to enhance your Green bot's charging speed or reducing its battery draining speed (when not charging).

We are going to disable some apps like WhatsApp, Messenger, UC Browser, and some games.
Lets start with WhatsApp:
Go to settings > Apps > WhatsApp. Select Force Stop option, and then OK.
Repeat the same with other apps you think are not necessary at the moment.
All these apps will start to work normally as soon as you again open them.

Other Reasons Behind Faster Battery Draining
If your device is rooted, your battery will drain at a faster rate.
Maybe you have installed many apps on your device which tend to run in Background and constantly drain your battery.
Maybe your Green bot has grown old. In that case, change your phone or change its battery.

Do hell with the stupid intros. When it comes to Privacy we cannot waste our time so let's directly come to the main thing.

Going Completely Private

1) Hiding Last seen

Go to Settings > Account > Privacy.

Select Last seen, change it to 'Nobody'

2) Keeping your Profile Picture limited to your Contacts

Go to Settings > Account > Privacy.

Select Profile photo, change it to 'My Contacts'

3) Keeping your Status limited to your Contacts

Go to Settings > Account > Privacy.

Select Status, change it to 'My Contacts'

4) Hiding Blue Ticks

In case you don't want people to know that you've read their message, you can disable Blue ticks.

Go to Settings > Account > Privacy.

There's is checked box after 'Read receipts', uncheck that box to disable blue ticks in WhatsApp.

How to increase data transfer speed in Hard disk

Who doesn't love speed when it comes to your pc. Faster performance of your pc makes you feel great.

But what happens when your Hard disk starts to perform like crap or takes a lot of time to process and copy files. You think that your pc has started to show its age. But did you know, sluggish performance of your Hard-disk is not always the effect of your pc's age.

So we shall discuss what causes your Hard disk to go sluggish.

Reason 1. Your Hard disk may be heavily fragmented

It simply means that the storing system of your Hard disk is not properly managed. Don't worry, it happens with all of the computers, at certain point of time.

It does severely affect the pcs which have never defragmented their Hard disks.

Solution:

Fortunately, Windows has got an inbuilt feature to Defrag the Hard disks.

To defrag an Hard disk follow these steps :

Step 1. Right click on the Hard disk to be Defragmented and select Properties.

Step 2. Switch to Tools tab and click on Optimise.

Step 3. A new window should pop-up. From there, select your Hard disk and click on Optimise.

Defragmentation will take some time to get completed.

I recommend you to use TuneUp Utilities to defrag your Hard disk, it is a powerful software to optimize your pc, which will thoroughly defrag your Hard disk and you'll get back your original faster performance from Hard disks.

Using TuneUp Utilities to defrag Hard disk:

Navigate to Optimize tab > Click on Defragment Hard disk > Select Hard disk and click Next.

Reason 2. Write-Caching may be disabled
Enabling Write-Caching on your Hard disk will result in better performance of your Hard disk and pc. If it has disabled by anyhow, it can be manually enabled.

Solution:
To enable Write-Caching on your Hard disk, follow these steps:

Step 1. Right click on your Hard disk and click on Properties.

Step 2. Switch to Hardware tab and double-click on your hard disk.

You need to identify which is your Hard disk (even if the names are confusing), by looking at the icons.

Step 3. Then click on Change Settings option from the following window.

Step 4. Switch to Policies Tab and Enable Write-Caching by ticking the box.

Reason 3. Hard disk is running out of space
It has been proved that if your Hard disk has less than 20% of free space, then it will not work at its peak performance. If you want to make your Hard disk work at blazing speed as before, try to keep 20% of its space free.
For this, you can:

1. Compress files: Compressing files will result in huge amount of space to be saved. However, all of the files will not compress and save space, for ex, video and audio files will not save space but compressing an installed game will result in huge space to be saved.

2. Use TuneUp Utilities to remove Duplicate files: TuneUp Utilities has a feature of finding and removing duplicate files on your Hard disk, which may save a huge amount of space, in many cases.

So these were the solutions to reasons behind the slow down of your Hard disk.

Before WhatsApp was developed we could not think of an app that would be free to send text, photos, videos, and audio.

When there is some kind of uniqueness in a particular thing, it doesn't take time to become viral. Same is with WhatsApp, it did not take much time to be in almost every Android and Symbian phone in the world.

This is the reason for which Mark Zuckerberg bought it for a jaw-dropping $19 billion, and he still thinks that WhatsApp is worth more than that.

Today WhatsApp is the most popular messaging service which uses data plan to transmit users' messages.

So it was a brief introduction to WhatsApp, Now let's come to the point and get started.

Recovering deleted WhatsApp messages is not that difficult as it may sound. If you have deleted your chat history by mistake, then don't panic because WhatsApp automatically makes a backup of your chat history and saves them to your phone memory. The backup will not be removed before 7 days, after that it may be overwritten or deleted.

There are two ways to recover your deleted WhatsApp chat history: -

Method 1. Reinstallation method

Uninstalling and then reinstalling WhatsApp restores the chat history in most cases.

So it is the simplest thing you can do. Just follow these steps :-

Step 1. Uninstall WhatsApp

Step 2. Reinstall from the .apk file you've got.

Step 3. When you'll start it, it'll ask you to whether restore from backup file or not. Simply click on Restore to get your messages back.

It should restore your messages, but if it didn't, don't worry we've got another way to get our valuable messages back. Just follow the steps to the next trick.

Method 2. Restoring from Backup file

If the previous trick did not prove to be useful for you, then continue reading this one.

It did solve the problem for me.

Requirements : A file explorer. Use any well-known file explorer from Playstore, such as, ES File explorer, or Root Explorer.

(In this tutorial I have used ES File Explorer.)

Now follow the steps carefully: -

Step 1.

Open ES File Explorer and navigate to sd card > WhatsApp > Databases.

Step 2.

There you'll find files of your past seven days backup. They will be named as msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt

Step 3.

Now find the one with the date you want to recover messages from. If you don't remember the date, go for the latest one because it will have most of the messages.

Rename that file as msgstore.db.crypt

Mark these words, they should be exact, crypt should not remain crypt5 or crypt7, it should only be crypt.

Step 4.

Now follow Method 1 from starting, i.e. Uninstall and Reinstall WhatsApp.

When it asks for restoration, click on Restore to get your messages back.

That is all. We have successfully recovered all of the deleted messages.

Now go and recover your messages fast before their backup gets replaced with the newer one.

Have you ever tried to find out whether an email address exists or not? There are times, when you're not sure about an email address, if its valid or not. In that case you send an email to that address and get your email bounced back after few hours. Isn't it a time consuming process to check the existence of an email address. Yes it is.

So today I have brought you two simple ways to check whether an email address exists or not, in seconds.

In this tutorial, I have used my Google or Gmail account to check any email address's existence.

Trick 1 : Check using your own Email address

This is the simplest trick to check the existence of an email. The only thing you need to do is, pretend that you've forgot your password.

Step 1.

Open the Gmail sign in window.

Step 2.

Select or type your email address but not your password. Then, click on Need Help? option below password.

Step 3.

In the following window, select I don't know my password.

Step 4.

There it'll ask for an email address whose password you've forgotten. Your email would be already typed in there. Replace your email address with the email address you want to check existence for. If it's correct there'll not be any problem and you'll proceed further, but if it's not, you'll see an error saying that 'No account found with that email address.'

So, by this you can simply check whether an email address exists or not.

Trick 2 : Check by creating a new account

This is an alternative to the previous trick but yet equally effective. It has a limit that it will work only for Google email service (Gmail).

Simply create a new account and type that email address in the username field (excluding @gmail.com). Google will let you know whether that username is available or not.

How to find the location of email sender in Gmail

Hey guys, today we are going to see the real location of the unknown or known email sender in Gmail.

Gmail is one of the most popular free email service by world's greatest Company and the best Search engine, Google. What makes it popular is its unique features, Chat box, auto spam detection, filters and many more. This is the reason why millions of people are using Gmail, including me and maybe also you.

Now, when you'll use Gmail, there are chances when you receive mails from unknown senders.

So, today I'll help you in identifying that sender.

What are we gonna do?

We are going to use the ip address of the email and then track the location of the sender.

So let's get started: -

Step 1.

Open the email of which you want to see the sender's location.

Step 2.

After the Reply button, there is a drop-down option. Click on that and select Show Original.

Step 3.

A new tab in your browser will open.

Step 4.

Search for Received: from. In that line you'll find a number like 123.12.34.56, that is the ip address. Copy it.

For finding Received: from, press Ctrl+F, and paste this into the box which'll appear on the top right corner.

Step 5.

There are some websites which will help you to identify the sender's location with the help of ip address.

1. SpamId

According to me, this is the best website to find the location of the email sender. Just click on Real Time Ip Locator on the left pane > Paste the ip in the box provided > Click on Where is it? It'll give you the location and an option to look it on Google Maps.

2. Visual Trace Tool

It's an easy to use tool to directly look for the ip address you have provided on the map.

Now after having a look on the location of that person, you might want to know more about him, in case you have a feeling that you know him.

For that, you can do the following things: -

1. Search them on Online People Search Directories

Spokeo, a very powerful People Search directory will help you get some information about the person by collecting information from some online and offline sources.Online souces include Facebook, Google+, Twitter, etc. which means it is definitely going to help in most cases.But you need to purchase its full access for $3.95/month.
Pipl, is an alternative for Spokeo but less effective, try your luck and search your sender's email in Pipl. It is free.

2. Simply search them on Facebook

As Facebook being the most popular Social website, there are chances that your unknown sender has also registered on Facebook. Simply paste his email address in the search box and see whether he is there. If he's there you've got your sender.

For ex -

Now, it depends upon the search results, if you've found a known person, get connected with him/her. If not, simply spam him.

8 tips to effectively increase the performance of your android

You buy a new smartphone and enjoy its blazing speed for a year or maybe two. But after that your phone is likely to crawl.

Reasons for this includes: -

The age of your phone, less availability of ram, unused and poorly coded apps, and many more…..

After that few people are likely to get a new and upgraded phone, but every one can’t afford this.

So, today we are going to discuss some Tips/Tricks/Tweaks to make your android run smoother. And I’m sure you’ll find most of these tips useful, while you may not be able to implement a few of them (in some rare cases).

My Micromax Canvas 2, also went sluggish after around 18 months of use. But after implementing these tips, I got a nice increase in its performance.

Now, without wasting any time, let’s get started.

Tip 1. Update your Software

Updating your Firmware version brings some bug fixes, and also helps to increase the performance and battery life. In short, updating your Android to latest version can do wonders for your device. So what are waiting for?? Go and update your Android now….

Or if you need some offline tips/tricks to improve your android’s speed, proceed further.

Tip 2. Uninstall/ Disable unwanted apps

Uninstalling apps can hugely increase the speed of your Android, as some of the poorly coded apps keeps on running in the background and use your precious RAM and battery.

Or other option is to simply disable them, this is the best tip according to me.
Go to Settings > Application Manager > Swipe your screen towards left twice.
You'll come under All Tab, then click on individual app and Disable it in the following screen.

Tip 3. Stop Synchronizing

Synchronizing or Sync is a great feature that keeps your data synchronized and updated with different Google servers. It is indeed a very amazing feature because it notifies you when you get a new mail, when a friend has commented on your newly uploaded pic, or when you got a like for your status, in short, is very useful, but with a downside that it does reduces the performance of your android as it eats RAM.

Disabling Auto Sync is a good option to increase your little Green bot’s performance.

Tip 4. Turn-off Animation

In order to get your Android optimized for performance, you have to compromise with the Animation. Disabling Animation scale from 10x to lower value or to No Animation, will surely add to performance.

In order to do this, Go to Settings > Developer Options > Window Animation scale >Animation scale 10x. Do the same for Transition Animation scale and Animator Duration scale.

Tip 5. Turn off Background Data for some apps

Apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, etc. constantly keep on downloading new data to get you updated when you access them.

To stop this, Go to Settings > Data Usage > Deselect unwanted apps.

Tip 6. Move apps to SD card to free up Internal memory

This one is an important one. You need to know that even an app is not running in Background, but it can still cause a negative effect to your little Green bot’s performance, as it takes and reserves the internal memory of your phone. The more free internal memory your phone has, more smoother it will run.

To check whether it is low or not, Go to Settings > Storage. Then check the available free memory, if is low, you need to uninstall unwanted apps from your device to free up space.

It is a very hard to do option when you’ve got most of the apps that are useful for you. But don’t worry, you can still free your phone’s internal memory without uninstalling your apps.

There is an app called App Manager 3 or App 2 SD which will help you to move your apps to your SD card. When you’ll download this app, just open it and a list of your apps appears in it. Then move some of them to your SD card to free up Phone’s Internal memory.

Tip 7. Use Apps to kill Apps!!

This is the easiest way to improve your Android’s performance. Just Download these two apps:-

Watchdog This app will not blindly kill other apps running in Background, as it may be harmful, instead, it will let you know when a background app loses control and exceeds your CPU thresholds.

It’ll notify you when an app exceeds your CPU thresholds. The user can then kill, ignore, or

WhiteList that app to optimize phone’s performance and battery life.

This app allows you to hibernate apps from running in the background, which helps in saving battery life. It doesn’t kill apps, you can switch to them at any time, and moreover it doesn’t causes any harm to your apps.

Tip 8. Overclocking your Android Phone

The last and most effective trick to surely increase the speed of your Android is to Overclock its CPU.

But what is Overclocking??

Overclocking simply means optimizing your hardware in such a way that it offers its maximum performance.

It’s a little tricky to overclock your Android. You need to do two things before starting:-

Root your Phone
Install a custom kernel

After rooting your phone, you are its super user, you have all hidden access to your phone, you can use it to apply many tweaks to your phone and enhance its experience.

As we have discussed earlier, How to root any android mobile, so we’re not going to get deep into this. Now, about Custom kernels, these are specific to your phone model, so you need to do some googling for the supported kernels for your model. I can’t show you how to install kernels for all the phones so, Google will help you to install them for your device.

After this you need to install an app called SET CPU to overclock your phone. It’ll help you out to manage overclocking your CPU’s processor.

Its amazing features make it outstandingly unique from others. One feature is, profile. This feature allows you to set specific configurations for different circumstances. For example, you can tell it to overclock when the charger is plugged and battery is over 50%, tell it to underclock when battery is below 50%, and can set it to return to its original state or at regular clock speed when it starts overheating, because overheating may damage your hardware.

The one and only disadvantage of overclocking your android is that it drains the battery faster.

But you’ll be able to get your android at its full potential, can play games without any lags, which are the reasons for which people root and overclock their phones.

Now, the problem is that many websites show you How to share YouTube videos to Facebook. But they do not tell you how to share them in Groups. They'll simply tell you to copy and paste the video URL in the group, which is not possible (at times) .

They'll show you to share the post on your Timeline, and then again sharing it in a group by selecting In a group option from top left drop-down menu. Just follow these simple steps: -

Step 1.

Play the YouTube video you wanna share on Facebook groups.

Step 2.

Under the video, you'll see some tabs named About, Share, Add to. Click on Share and then select Facebook option from the list.

Step 3.

A new window will pop-up. Click the Share button.

**The video will be posted on your Timeline.

Now, we are going to share it in the groups.

If you want to share any link quickly in many groups, follow this safe trick:- Open all the groups in which you want to share your link In New Tabs, Copy the link in one group and Press Ctrl+Tab to move to next group (i.e. next tab), repeat this till you reach the last tab.
When you get back to first tab, the link must have been updated with the picture, what simply you have to do is simply click on post button and move to next tab using Ctrl+Tab, repeat this process till the last group.

The video will be shared without any errors.

In your SD card, look for a folder named Android. Open it.

Step 3.

Inside Android folder, there is another folder named Data. Open the folder.

After opening it, you'll see a list of different saved files (as folders) in your Android which relates to different apps.

How to identify which folder is for a specific app??

Identifying the correct saved file could be a little confusing. But you can see the details of a folder and see its full name, and then can get a hint to the app.

For ex :- com.kiloo.subwaysurf is for Subway Surfers, com.dropbox.android is for Dropbox.

You can easily identify the save file for an app.

Never let your save files lose. Create a backup of them now....

How to open multiple websites with a single click

Opening a website or two again and again surely does wastes your time.
For example, You log in to your Facebook account and then sign out after sometime. After a while, you're surely to log in again to your account and for this you'll open up your browser, type the url and then login.
But what if you simply open a file that will open Any Website(s) for you.

What will be that file??
That file will be a Windows batch file or a .bat file. After opening that file, your browser will be automatically launched and the specified websites will be opened. Isn't that sounds amazing??
So let's get started.......

Step 1.
Open Notepad.

Step 2.
Type the following:-
@echo off
start "Website's name" "Website's url"
start "Website's name" "Website's url"
start "Website's name" "Website's url"

**Replace "Website's name" with the original website's name.
Replace "Website's url" with the URL of the website you want to open. For ex:- www.facebook.com

Let me give you an example how the whole thing should look like.
@echo off
start "Facebook" "www.facebook.com"
start "Youtube" "www.youtube.com"
start "Internet Hub" "www.techohub.com"

Step 3.
Save this file as website.bat (.bat extension should remain same.)
Go to File > Save As.

Step 4.
Open that file and see the magic.

Now you don't need to open your favorite websites manually nor you have to make this .bat file again. If you want to visit a single website, you can make this file to open just that site.
So save your time and enjoy this trick...

How to cut videos using VLC

Guys, ever tried to cut your videos into smaller parts. I'm sure you have. But ever wondered that you can do that using VLC??
Using VLC to cut your videos is the easiest way.

What are we gonna do?
We are going to Enable some Advanced Controls in VLC and recording videos from your desired start-point to end-point thereafter.

Just follow these simple steps to do that:-

Step 1.
Play any video using VLC.

Step 2.
Click on View Tab and then Advanced Controls.

Step 3.
You'll see some New controls in the Lower toolbar. Click on the First button i.e. Record.
Recording will start after clicking the button and it will be highlighted in Blue while recording.

Step 4.
When you want to stop the recording, Click on the Record button again.
A new video file will be saved in your pc.

Now, where will you find that File??
You will find those saved videos here C:\Users\Sumit\Videos (Replace 'Sumit' with your Username. )

VLC destroys laptop speakers
With the release of VLC media player 1.0.0 on July 7, 2009, all problems related to playing video with different formats were gone. The best video player was released.
This may sound awkward that VLC, the best media player of all time, destroys your laptop speakers. But its true. It does destroy laptop speakers over time. This only happens to if you increase the volume above 100% but below that it reduces your experience to use VLC and many a times the sound is not audible.

What does it do?
It uses a process that create Hard-clippings which destroys small speakers, as in laptops. It is due to this process that VLC makes the audio seem louder than other Media Players.

Does Installing VLC voids speakers warranty??
Yes, installing VLC on a DELL laptop does voids your speakers warranty because they have carried out some experiments and proved that it destroys laptop speakers. It doesn't have to take anything with your laptop's warranty but it'll void only your speakers warranty.

Is there any solution?
Yes, there is a solution to solve this. Try to play a video with less than 100% volume whenever possible.
But if the sound is too low to hear under 100% volume,there is a trick to counter this problem. You just have to change some settings in VLC and prevent it from destroying your speakers.

Follow the steps:
Step 1.
Play any video and click on Tools tab and select Effects and Filters or simply press Ctrl+E.

Step 2.
Then under Graphics Equalizer, put a check on Enable and then on 2 pass.

That's it.....you have successfully changed the settings of VLC and prevented it from destroying laptop speakers.

Remove write protection error from pendrives using registry
A common error in pendrives which you may come across is the Write-Protection error.
This mostly occurs because of viruses, as i can tell you from my experience, otherwise there is no specific reason why this happens.

What is Write-Protection error?
When this error will affect your pendrive, you'll not be able to use your pendrive completely , i.e. you may not be able to transfer anything to your pendrive nor will be able to format it. It will irritate you a lot and you'll feel like throwing your pendrive away.

How are we gonna tackle this?
There are two methods to tackle this problem:
1. Using cmd, as I showed you this in my previous post How to remove Write Protection error from pendrives using cmd.
2. Other is by editing the Registry, it is more effective.

So, better check out this post to remove that error simply by going into the Registry.

Removing Write Protection using Registry.

Step 1.
Open run by going to the Start menu and typing run.

Step 2.
In the following window type regedit.

Step 3.
A new window will pop-up, then navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies.

** If Storage device Policies is not there, look at the end of the post to know how to create it.

Step 4.
There should be a value Write Protect, double click on it.

Step 5.
A new window will pop-up, change the value 0 and click Ok.

RESTART YOUR COMPUTER, it is very important to restart otherwise changes in the Registry will not take place. Don't use your pendrive until you RESTART your computer.

Now, many of us don't see Storage Device Policies Folder, so here's how to create it:

Creating Storage Device Policies

Step 1.
As you reach to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ , Right-click on Control and Navigate to New and then click on Key.

Step 2.
Change the name of the key to StorageDevicePolicies and right click on the empty space on the right hand side.

Step 3.
Click on New and select DWORD (32-bit value). Name it as WriteProtect. After that follow steps 4 to 5.

And don't forget to restart your computer before doing anything in the pendrive.

After folloing all of these steps, you'll be able to remove that error completely........
This error can also be removed using cmd, its very simple and has 80% chances of removing the error but it's not as effective as Registry method. But why not give it a try because it has worked for me many a times....

Remove shortcut virus in one click

Shortcut virus- one of the most common virus that can be found on almost every pc in the world. When it was formed, it spread like a viral all over the world.
Now questions would be arriving in many minds, specially those who don't know about this, that

What is Shortcut virus?
It is a type of worm which is generally named autorun.inf.

How does it work?
It uses an autorun vulnerability for working. It automatically gets executed when you insert your pendrive into your pc. Then it makes all your files into shortcuts. After that the biggest problem arises, you see that you cannot copy any of your files from your pendrive to your pc because they had been turned to shortcuts.

Now I will share with you a simple trick to remove shortcut virus from your pendrives with a Single Click. Just follow these simple steps:

What are we going to do here?
We are going to make a Windows Batch file or a .bat file, which after executing will remove the shortcut virus from your pendrive for once and you will be able to copy any of your files from your pendrive. We will not use any Virus Remover Tool to do this.

Step 1.
Open Notepad by Right- Clicking on your desktop, then navigating to New option and clicking on Text document.

Step 2.
A new window will open. Type the following command in Notepad:
attrib -H -S /S /D /L

Step 3.
Save that file as remove shortcut.bat (you can type anything in place of remove shortcut but the .bat extension should remain the same).

Step 4.
Now insert your pendrive and copy that remove shortcut file to it.

Step 5.
Open that file and wait for 1-2 seconds and you will see that all your original files and folders have come out of shortcut and can be copied easily to your pc.
You need not make that .bat file every time, just save that file to your hard-disk and copy it to your pendrive to remove the virus and get your files.

Another use of this .bat file
You can also copy that file to any of your folder in your hard-disk and you'll be able to see all hidden files in that folder, including protected-system files.

Since 5 months, I have tried this trick more than 100 times in my pc and also in my friends' pc and THIS HAS WORKED EVERY TIME. So do not waste time, go and retrieve your original files......

How to enable fast startup in Windows 8

How to enable fast startup in Windows 8
Windows 8, Microsoft's latest Operating System, takes less than 5 seconds to boot!! Can you imagine how fast it is?? A normal computer with any other operating system takes approximately 10-15 seconds to boot. So Windows 8 takes less than half the time for its startup.

But how Windows 8 take 5 seconds to boot??
Yes, there is an outstanding feature of Windows 8. It uses a Hybernation file to boot, and your pc is using Hybrid Startup/Shutdown. In this Hybernation file, Windows saves only some important system files and drivers, and only those are loaded during the boot process. Rest of them starts after the startup. Isn't it amazing??

Enabling Fast Startup in Windows 8:
By default, Fast startup is enabled in Windows 8 but if any how it disables or you feel your pc is taking too much time to boot, then you should follow these steps to enable it:

Step 1.
(For Laptops) Click on battery icon on your system tray and click on More Power Options.
(For Desktops) Press Start button and type power options, then select Settings tab under Apps and click on Power Options.

Step 2.
A new window should open. Now, on the left pane you will see an option Choose what power buttons do, click on that.

Step 3.
Check whether Turn on Fast startup option is checked, if not check it. If it is grey and is un-clickable then click on Change settings that are currently unavailable and then check the Fast startup option.
Finally, click on Save Changes.

** If Turn on Fast startup option is not available, then proceed to Step 4.

Step 4.
To make the Fast startup option available, open cmd by typing cmd in start menu.

Step 5.
Now type the follow command:
powercfg -h on
and press enter.
Then follow from Step 1 to 3.

That's all........you have successfully turned on Fast Startup in your Windows 8 pc....Now no more slow startups because of this....

How to speed up system startup in Windows 8
There are many a times when your startup becomes slow like a snail and your system takes minutes to boot.
With just a few tweaks, you can get your boot time to 5-10 seconds. This post will give you some tips and tricks to increase your startup speed.

Just follow these simple steps:

Step 1. Check your Hard Disk
Over time, your hard drives gets degraded both physically and digitally. It’s important to monitor your drives health. An error or damaged sector can throw software loading into an infinite loop causing long load times.
Check your drive health in 3 simple steps:
1) Right Click on your Hard Drive and then click on Properties.
2) Select Tools tab. Under the Error-Checking option, click on Check. After, the check up gives you repair options or a clean bill of health.
3) Restart to get a faster boot up.

Step 2. Reduce Start-up Delay
To get faster boot up speeds, you can cut the boot delay to 0. The delay is in place to allow your startup processes some breathing room during loading. Your default delay is 30 seconds. So, you can eliminate it for faster boot up times.
1) Go to your Start menu, type run and open it.
2) Type msconfig
3) In the system configuration utility, select BOOT tab. Change the default setting for the Time Out from 30 to 5 seconds.

Step 3: Defrag your Hard Drive
There is a filling system in your Hard Disk which is used to locate files. Over time, filing system gets disorganized. Periodically, you need to reorganize this filing system on your hard drive. So we are going to Defragment your Hard Disk to put your system in order.

1) Right Click on you C: Drive or your another drive (But defrag all the drives).
2) Click on Properties and then select Tools tab.
3) Under the Optimize and Defragment Hard Drive option, click on Optimize.
4) A new window will pop-up, then select your Hard Drive and click on Analyze. Let the process to finish.

Step 4: Remove Excess Start-up Programs
Most programs you install to your computer are likely to load when you startup your computer. Eventually you will have a load of programs that kill faster boot times. You need to reduce the startup programs to speed your startup. Her's how you can disable unnecessary startup programs:
1) Go to your Start menu, type run and open it.
2) Type msconfig
3) In the system configuration utility, select Startup tab. It will ask you to open Task Manager. Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
4) In the Task Manager window, select Start-up tab. Select on any program and click on Disable.
You will effectively increase your boot time if you disable all of them.

These tricks also work in Windows 7.

In my previous post, I showed you How to increase your internet speed by using cmd but this trick will tell you how to increase your internet speed by Editing your Group Policy. You will surely observe a change in your internet speed.
Now just follow these simple steps:

Step 1.
Go to Start menu and type run. Then open Run.

Step 2.
Type gpedit.msc and press enter.

A new window will pop-up. Now select Administrative Templates from the left pane and double-click on the Network option.

Step 4.
Now double-click on the Qos Packet Scheduler. Then click on Limit reservable bandwidth.

A new window will pop-up. By default, it would be set as Not Configured. Click on Configure and change the value to 0.

Step 6.
Click on Apply and then Ok.
