Google On-hub - A new way to wifi

Many of the users face problem of weak wi-fi signal and other streaming problems. This often occurs for every router which makes the users frustrate and the immediate solution we do is hard reboot the router so that the congestion moves on and creates a new link between router and the device.

Google addressed this problem by partnering with a networking company called TP-Link by creating a smart router by name on-hub. On-hub primarily addresses the problems of bad-wifi.

on-hub searches the airwaves and selects the best channel for the fastest connection experience. According to Google it also provides a way to customize the priorities between different devices which are accessing on-hub. Thanks to excellent algorithms which powers up the fastest channel selection and the new antenna design which looks like a cylinder. The device is small and looks similar to Amazon echo or Apple Mac pro (miniature version).

On-hub is auto updatable which makes it compatible to everyday changes of security vulnerabilities without interrupting the connections. In the future, OnHub can support smart devices that you bring into your home, whether they use Bluetooth® Smart Ready, Weave, or 802.15.4. Google is also planning to built new OnHub devices with other hardware partners in the future.Google said it is going to partner with ASUS for making this devices possible.

On-Hub is available for preorder for 199$ from few online retailers (ncluding the Google Store, Amazon, and Walmart.com) provided by Google.

Google launches Dedicated Google Hangouts site

Ever felt Gmail, Inbox, Google+ are slow and gets distraction while reading emails and posts because of the attached hangout application embedded into the interface? Even the same happened with the case of Facebook and they came with a standalone website for the Facebook messenger.

With the advent of mobile devices every application is thinking to optimize and reduce load. Well now the same peace will be coming for the Google applications also with the introduction of a new standalone website for Google Hangouts (www.hangouts.google.com). Starting now you can use this site for performing all the hangout operations like audio, chat, video call. And it also included the group hangouts also in this new interface.

This is a nice move from Google by splitting the Google+ services into standalone Google applications. Previously it happened with Google Photos and now it's the turn for Google Hangouts. The regular hangout application will still work until Google gives an option to hide it. Hope it happens quickly.

What to expect from WWDC 2k15?

Apple send out an official mail to all of the developers forum and confirmed the World wide developer conference 2k15 on June 8th to 12th in San Francisco.

What is WWDC?

WWDC is the world wide developer conference for all the Apple developers. Every year during summer this conference will be conducted by Apple. Here Apple's executives and the Apple’s renowned developer community will come together to learn about the future of iOS and OS X.WWDC features more than 100 technical sessions, over 1,000 Apple engineers, hands-on labs, and the Apple Design Awards.

How do get a ticket to WWDC?
Developers can apply for tickets to attend WWDC and millions worldwide will be able to watch sessions streamed live.
WWDC Scholarships are available to students and members of participating STEM organizations around the world. This time Apple planned to give out at least 350 scholarship tickets to students around the globe so that they could attend the event for free. This provides a great opportunity for the students to explore the intent of multiple developers attending the conference as well as the Apple's internal developers and how they are creating such beautiful platforms for the rest of the world.

A Brief Overview of WWDC 2k14

The first and the best product that was revealed was the OS X Yosemite, which was the latest Mac operating system code named OS X 10.10. It came up with the whole new interface which is fully transparent and few other features like safari upgrade and one of the main feature is continuity which brings the IOS and OS X to work for each other and the new developer programming language called Swift.

IOS 8: A new mobile operating system to all IDevices (iPhone and Ipad) with all whole new features and it is a continuation of the previously released IOS 7. But few more useful features are the continuity support, handoff, health kit and the iCloud Drive. These changes in IOS made the operating system more successful and increased it's vast use in health care industry as well.

For the developers a whole new app called TestFlight was introduced, this'll help the developers to share their initial version or a beat version of their apps globally and other developers can install those apps in their iDevices and provide a feedback to the developer. This helps the developers to test there app on the original hardware compared to the formal testing on simulator.

What to expect?

With the successful WWDC's previously the world is expecting a lot form the creative 700 billion dollar company to reinvent again. There are few rumors as well as some inferences from the past WWDC's from where we can expect those to be correct.

WWDC is always going to be a software upgrade rather than a hardware upgrade, but this time we may expect a new Apple TV with whole new features.

A whole new OS X 10.11. Last year Apple came out from the previous names of animals (mountain lion, sea lion,..) to the national parks (Yosemite) so we are expecting similar name of one of the beautiful national parks in US. And this may get loaded with brand new enterprise features. Last year IBM deal puts more strengthen to this words. And with the release of Apple watch we may expect some features which are related to the course touch technology and the haptic feedback coming to OS X.
Most of the operating systems are equipped with a voice assistant, Google with its Google voice inside the heart of Chrome OS, Microsoft unveiling its Cortana inside Windows 10, we may expect a desktop version of SIRI inside new OS X.

Coming to mobile operating system which plays a key role in Apple's revenue, the Cupertino based company will launch the iOS 9 which will be a huge jump with a lot of updates, bug fixes and sport better user interface. The operating system will also be the first step towards launching an iPhone 7. So, we may expect some features related to that also embedded in the heart of IOS 9 like the haptic feedback and whole new camera app and photos app.

Google's devices & activity monitoring dashboard

Google increased it's dashboard lost by one, a new Device & Activity monitoring dashboard has been introduced by Google today. The basic concept is, we may be using google's services on multiple devices right from smartphones to desktops, this monitoring dashboard will list all these devices so that user can check and verify that whether his account is secure or not.

Devices and Activity dashboard can be viewed from your Google account's security settings. This monitoring dashboard will show the activity of your account on all devices which is being accessed from last 28 days.

Viewing my dashboard it shows the currently active device and your smartphones and other devices. It shows the device model, currently logged in via which browser, the last location used by the device. If you don’t recognize a device, remove its access to your account, or change your password.

This proves that Google is accessing all the users information and storing it (securely) inside their data centres. Any how this is really an essential feature for monitoring the health and security of your Google account.

Apple updated its app store apps label from FREE to GET

Apple has updated it’s app store free apps label to Get in both MAC and iOS. Many users are feeling awkward with the app saying it’s free but offering in-app purchases, now with this label change solves this issue.

The Cupertino based giant did take some action after working with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, specifically by requiring passwords before users can make in-app purchases and also by clearly stating that apps offered in-app purchases on their respective pages.Even with IOS8 parental controls, there is an approval life cycle before kids do purchases with the new Family sharing feature. It seems Facebook is following divide and rule policy, the release of it's new Groups app is conveying the message. Already Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg released one video message regarding its strategy behind isolating messenger app from the main Facebook app. Now it's turn for Groups app, users can access and enjoy ease access with it's standalone groups app.

1. Groups you use most frequently are at the top, and you can quickly move between each group.

4. In the new Discover tab, you’ll see groups suggested to you based on Pages you’ve liked, groups your friends are in and where you live.

Finally, this isolation of features in mobile devices is really apt as it will bring the loading time of the apps down and users can easily access their needed feature. For now Facebook is not removing the groups feature from its main Facebook app but soon it may remove that. This app is really awesome for the guys who uses Facebook groups mostly.

Use SIRI as calculator++

Are you got bored of retyping the entire calculation in the regular calculator of IOS when you have done any typo? There is a nice alternative for this situation. Use SIRI to solve these mathematical calculations, this will give more precise answer and if you can recheck whether there is any typo in the calculation, if you have done any typo then you can use the tap to edit option to correct the typo.

From the above image you can observe that SIRI not only gave the sum, it also gave few extra details like the name of the number, visual representation in dots and Number line representation as well. This behaviour varies from calculation to calculation, it gives precise information depends on the calculation.

If you are more interested on the final result then you have to just say what is "the result" . For example i asked SIRI what is 25, then it replied with the above info like the Roman number, whether it is perfect square or not few property values, ASCII values etc...

It's really a great feature provided by Apple which eases to visualise all the information which is needed in a single place. It helped me definitely it will help you, try it with different types of operations.

Disable Google Maps Location history

Most of the readers are aware of the fact that many of the Google services will be storing all of the user activity in their servers. Out of the many Google maps is one of the service which is not only storing the location search history but also the actual Location history.

Google is storing all of your location history probably step by step also. Checkout Google’s own location history map, which lets you see the path you’ve traced for any given day that your smartphone has been running Google Maps. This type of logging is available from long back but in the link provided above only user can check upto 30 days. We probably hope that Google is deleting the previous data.

If the user doesn’t need this location history Google provided an option to delete all the history, delete history for a particular time frame and for the users who wants to archive this history they can export their data in KML format.

From your smartphone you can turn-off this logging/reporting. Checkout the attached image for disabling the logging from an IOS device.

Apple may be releasing Reversible USB with iPhone 6

Recently a rumoured feature from Apple relating to iPhone 6 is being rolled out on the internet. A patent by Apple is suggesting an reversible USB which can be plugged into the USB connectors from the both sides like the Apple’s lightning connector. And this is compatible with the existing USB ports as well.

According to the rumoured image of this reversible USB, it looks like Cupertino’s slimmed the centre tab and added a set of connectors on both sides so it works the first time you plug in. Now when you reverse it, it looks like the same as previous (like the lightning connector) so easily it will be plugged into the port. I’m not sure about how the device driver recognition will be, as the regular USB connectors will install its drivers for every port we connect, now it’s the same connector at two sides so there may be chances for the standard USB ports to install device drivers in the same port for two different sides.

The entire industry is already headed towards reversible USB ports, but Apple could be a few steps ahead of everyone else. A new Type-C spec is set to roll out for microUSB later this year, but probably won’t become the standard for most devices for at least a another year. By comparison, Apple could rollout its new USB design this fall with the brand new iPhone 6. Apple’s Lightning cable already makes life easier for iPhone owners since it plugs into an iPhone or iPad no matter which side is facing up, but the iPhone 6 USB cable could make plugging in even quicker for Apple fans.

Select who can see your activity feed: Your activity feed displays actions you've performed on LinkedIn. If you want to restrict this activity feed you can use this option. The available options are:
Everyone
Your Network
Your Connections
Only You
Select what others see when you've viewed their profile: When you view other profiles on LinkedIn, those people can see your name, photo, and headline. If you want a higher level of privacy, you can choose to display anonymous profile information, or show up as an anonymous LinkedIn member.
Select who can see your connections: Select this option to restrict others to see your connections. Note: People will always be able to see shared connections. The available options are:
Your Connections
Only You
Show/hide "Viewers of this profile also viewed" box: Display "Viewers of this profile also viewed" box on the Profile page. Once you check this option you will be able to see the auto suggestions of the similar profiles provided by LinkedIn. By default this option will be checked.
Edit your public profile: This will give you a control of how you appear in public search results. You can check or un-check few or all the fields. Depending on your custom configuration your profile will be seen by others.
Manage your recommendations: You can manage the recommendations, endorses etc.. You will be able to request for new endorsements.

Erase search history from Facebook

Most of the users on Facebook used to chat and search for something. They know that their chat history is being saved and they know how to remove the old chat history as well. Do you know that search history is also being logged ?

Yes, not only chat history Facebook will log all the search history, like, comment, .. they log everything whatever you do on Facebook. One good thing is it is by default visible to you. If you need to show any thing to specific people it is configurable.

How to see the log ?

Go to your timeline (for example www.facebook.com/manchinagarjuna) and click on activity log. From there, click the "More" button in the left sidebar to reveal the "Search" option. Click on it to view your search history. If you want to erase it, there's a button in the upper right-hand corner to do just that or if you want to change the privacy settings there will be one more button similar to the privacy button on the Facebook home page.

There is no option to turn off this logging but we look forward whether Facebook gives it or not. Let's hope in positive always that Facebook gives an option to turn off logging.

Facebook is one of the most used sites by you, me and almost everyone. Recently company celebrated its 10th anniversary and announced that it reached 1.25 billion active users. There were many changes and many new features in these 10 years but the look and feel remains same, it is fine for now but always think for the future, it may be good or bad. There has to be multiple paths for any app, the company faces increased skepticism from both pundits and consumers. So, for its next app, Facebook started from scratch and started small and came up with something decidedly unlike anything Facebook is done before. That is the origin for the new Facebook app called "Paper".

Recently released for the iPhone, the app represents a wholesale rethinking of how users interact with the social network. Instead of focusing on a single "news feed" filled with posts from other users, the app is designed to be more like a newspaper, with sections that focus on particular news topics or interests, such as technology, sports or food. Users can choose to see content from up to 10 sections at a time from among 20 choices.

Facebook designed Paper to give more fresh experience than Facebook's website or its mobile app or mobile site. Mainly this doesn't restrict user inside some boundaries, it gives full screen access for the users. This app looks more like flipboard but more socialized ;).

For now this app is restricted to iPhone users that too in few countries, Facebook is planning to make this available across all platforms and all active users to use it."Great products don’t start with a billion users, they start with just a few".

Microsoft Windows may allow android apps to run in their platform

Windows phones are not getting sale because of the app deficit in windows store even though they are providing best cameras. On the other side Android became more popular because of its open source strategy and the majority of manufacturers opting the software platform. Of-course more rumors are going on in this tech world saying Nokia is going to release its first Android powered mobile and is going to demonstrate in the next World mobile congress. These rumors are not correct for a company like Microsoft, they can't step into two platforms at a same time (that too opting a rivalry platform is not good for such a reputed organization).

Already few virtualisation softwares like BlueStack are providing a virtual android platform experience on Windows but it is restricted to tablets and computers. A recent rumor published by Verge is Microsoft is going to take a step forward and is providing a virtual layer on top of windows for reading and executing Android apps. If this rumor comes to true then all windows mobile users can use all the android apps right from their mobiles and will remove the app deficit from windows store.

No details are available as of now, since Microsoft is yet to make a choice. Microsoft is reportedly keeping a close eye on the performance of Nokia’s new Android smartphone that may be launched at the Mobile World Congress, this month. The performance of the new smartphone is likely to be a deciding factor for Microsoft to take this call. If Microsoft approves this virtual layer windows users can enjoy using both the windows and android apps.

Multi factor authentication now secures office 365 users

Microsoft announced a recent update which secures all the office 365 user accounts with a secure login with multi factor authentication.

Multi factor authentication is similar to that of the 2-step verification of Google and 2 factor authentication of Facebook. Microsoft’s rivals already provided this type of security to all its users and now Microsoft is into it and provided a free update to all office 2013 users.

What multi factor authentication means ?

Multi factor authentication is a 2 level authentication system which enables users with a secure login feature. All your accounts may have certain passwords but are you trusting your account security ?! I think most of you aren’t right. Yes, this is the requirement which made Google, Facebook and Microsoft for establishing this secure feature.

Most of the users will register their mobile numbers for accessing some emergency information or getting calender invitations, reminders, the same mobile number can be used for a second level authentication. Once an user entered his secure password then a second level authentication triggers, a secure code will be send via SMS or a voice call or a smartphone app. Once user entered the code then the account will be accessed.

How to enable multi factor authentication for office 365 ?

Office 365 administrators will need to sign-into the Office 365 Admin Panel and enroll users for multi-factor authentication.
The multi-factor authentication page lists the users with user names and their status.
The user signs in and is prompted to set up their second authentication factor (phone call, text message, app notification, or one-time code).
Smartphone apps are available for Windows Phone, iPhone, and Android devices for uses who opt for the app notifications or one-time code.

Microsoft is providing few more features for office 365 users, one of the most useful is the facility of using app passwords in the office desktop applications. These are like application specific passwords feature provided by Google. App password is a 16 character randomly generated password that can be used as a password instead of users original password. Hope Microsoft rolls a multi factor authentication for office apps like outlook also.

Camera app now supports burst mode and in the demo also we found the result of burst mode, in less than a second we can take good amount of pictures with the same clarity as that of taking a normal picture. And it supports a parallel recording and taking pictures as well. And SIRI now is very fast and supports two voices.
Last but not least the finger print scanner, the scanned images are being stored in the processor itself. Comparing an image without a delay is not a small task, for having that this processor is needed.
Combining Desktop/Mobile in a single device

Already Ubuntu corporation is working on Ubuntu Edge which in turn makes a mobile device into a full pledged computer. Now this suggests Apple is also going to achieve this functionality very near in the future.
The architecture for 64-bit apps on ios is almost identical to the architecture for OS X aps, making it easy to create a common code base that runs in both operating systems which helps Apple developers to create an unified development platform and apps as well.
Competition

Apple scored a win in the smartphone market with this processor and taking IOS to next level. Major competitors Android and windows are far behind this mark.
Android may be supporting 64 bit architecture in Android 5.0 Laddu but windows is growing now itself and it takes more time to reach this mark.

Final Verdict :

The summary is that there's a lot more to the iPhone switching to a 64-bit processor than hype. While the applications for it might be limited right now, Apple is paving the way for improvements that we'll see trickle into the iPhone over the next few years.

Calls are back in Gmail hangouts

Good news for those who are using Hangouts in Gmail, Google+, and the Chrome extension.
Recently Google conducted a feedback program on the new feature in Gmail i.e., Hangout replacing GTalk. In most of the feedback's, users stretched and mentioned about a missing feature ( which is degraded ) i.e., calling from google talk.

Now Gmail group announced that the feature is back and it's better than before. And the most important thing is calls to the US and Canada are now free from all the countries where Hangouts calling is available. This is very good feature not only in US and Canada but also across the whole world as directly you can call to friends, family who are staying in the two places without spending a penny. International calling rates remain super, super low.

This version of calling also improves the desktop calling experience in a number of ways. For example: you can add multiple phone numbers and video participants to the same call; and you can play sound effects (like applause or laughter) with the Google Effects app.

To make a call from Hangouts, just look for the new phone icon in Gmail, or for the new "Call a phone" menu item in Google+ and the Chrome extension. And of course: if you haven't yet tried Hangouts in Gmail, you can always click your profile photo in the chat list and select "Try the new Hangouts."
Definitely we can think that Google will not loose its most important calling feature. And they are going to roll new features embedded with Google Hangouts.

Curved OLED TV gets released in South Korea

Samsung officially launched it's curved OLED TV in south korea. Even though both samsung and lg displayed their product at CES, samsung is the first to launch it.

The Curved OLED TV has a 1920 x 1080 resolution display panel with a built-in face- and motion-detecting camera in the top bezel, and comes with a host of Smart TV features such as Samsung Smart View and Smart Hub. Samsung says that by keeping the distance between viewer and TV the same from almost any angle or vantage point, users benefit from a true-to-life, flawless watching experience.

The Multi View feature allows users to watch two different programs simultaneously, and Samsung has included built-in earphones with the TV's 3D glasses to that separate audio can be delivered to each viewer. The company has also future-proofed the curvy TV by making it compatible with its Evolution Kit package, which allows users to upgrade features and apply updates without shelling out for a new TV.

With its curved metal frame, the device has dimensions of 1418.1 x 777.7 x 359.7 mm (56 x 31 x 14 in), and a combined weight of 30.9 kg (68 lb). It's capable of belting out 40-watts RMS of sonic output, has integrated wireless LAN and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as Ethernet LAN, and benefits from 2D to 3D conversion.

The Curved OLED TV carries a suggested retail price of KRW 15 million (about US$13,000) and may ship in july.

Iphone 5s/6 rumours

The most awaited mobile in the world now is iphone 6. Even we have no confirmation about the name. According to the iphone naming strategy which apple is following now some guys are thinking it as ‘Iphone 5s’ some are saying apple is trying to skip ‘Iphone 5s’ as it didn’t announce it in WWDC which was finished recently.

But out of all these most rumours are conveying that apple is gonna release two Iphones at a time, one with larger screen and IGZO display with same pricing strategy and the other with low cost and a fabric body and 4 inch AMOLED display rather than the currently following metallic body with Retina display. If this option is true then iphone will be adapted more than any other mobile in this world.

Now coming to the latest rumours from few blogs, both the Iphone 5s and Iphone 6 are going to be launched in coming September once after official release of IOS7. There were few pictures of coming iphone.

Furthermore, it is also rumored that Apple’s iPhone 6 will be powered by faster A7 quad core processor paired with iOS 7 operating system, which is packed with new and better features and iPhone 6 is said to be coming in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB variants with a fingerprint sensor in Apple devices for added security. A new concept of iPhone is also making the rounds showing the device capable of wireless charging or already rumoured 30 seconds battery charging technology.

Most of the mail accounts are now with google ( gmail ), even the corporate users are migrating to gmail, as all the google services are easily pluggable and useful via gmail.Now we will find how to use custom filters ( searching mechanism simply 'Advanced Search' ) for searching the mails.

Advanced Search Operators:

Now Advanced search operators are query words that perform searching operation in gmail. Using these you can easily find an appropriate mail which you are looking into. Lets see what are all the operators with a nice example given by google.

Firefox OS usage tips and tricks

In the previous post ( Overview of Firefox OS ) we mentioned about a brief overview on firefox os. Now we are going to have some tips and tricks which are very useful for using a smartphone with firefox os more handy than others.

Unlocking the phone

If your build of Firefox OS starts up asking for a pass code to unlock the device, the default code is 0000. Some builds will do this while we develop and test the lock screen.

Capturing a screenshot

Capturing a screenshot is as simple as pressing the power and home buttons at the same time. The screenshot image will be in /sdcard/screenshots on your device; you can access it using the Gallery app on your phone, as well.

If for some reason that doesn't work, you can also do it from the terminal on the Linux or Mac OS X computer that has a Firefox OS build system installed.

Make sure you have ffmpeg installed.
1. On Mac, if you use MacPorts, you can do this with sudo port install ffmpeg. For homebrew, do brew install ffmpeg.
2. On Linux (Ubuntu/Debian), use sudo apt-get install ffmpeg.
Connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable.
Navigate your phone into whatever situation you want to screenshot.
cd into the B2G/gaia directory
make screenshot
You now have a screenshot called screenshot.png.

Remote debugging with ADB

To enable USB Debugging via adb, open up the Settings App and navigate to Device Information > More Information > Developer. From the list, put a check mark on Remote Debugging. Finally, connect the device via USB with your computer.

Buttons and controls

A typical Firefox OS device has a small number of physical hardware buttons:


Home button: This button is generally centered below the screen. Pressing it will return you to the app launcher. Holding it down opens the card switching view; swiping up on an app in that view will terminate it.
Volume control rocker: Along the left side is the volume rocker; pressing the top half of the rocker increases the audio volume and pressing the bottom half decreases the volume.

Power button: The power button is at the top right corner of the device.
Multitasking: Firefox os gives a nice multitasking capability and a nice way to switch between running apps and closing them. It's very simple just tap and hold the home button you will get a nice UI.; Source : Mozilla

Most of the 'Tech' lovers are waiting for firefox mobile operating system and ubuntu mobile operating system. Now, its the turn of firefox os. Let's have a brief overview about this smartphone operating system.

Firefox OS (also referred to by its codename "Boot to Gecko" or "B2G") is Mozilla's open source mobile operating system based on Linux and Mozilla's Gecko technology. Firefox OS is a mobile operating system that's free from proprietary technology while still a powerful platform that provides application developers an opportunity to create excellent products. In addition, it's flexible and capable enough to make the end user happy.

Coolest Part for Developers:

For Web developers, the most important part to understand is that the entire user interface is a Web app, one that is capable of displaying and launching other Web apps. Any modifications you make to the user interface and any applications you create to run on Firefox OS are Web pages, albeit with enhanced access to the mobile device's hardware and services.

Hardware Requirements:

For using this operating system Mozilla organization suggested few hardware requirements.

Most recent ARM-based mobile devices are powerful enough to support porting Firefox OS. This section covers the basic hardware requirements as well as the recommended hardware features.

So, with these specifications we can think that this runs on all smartphones with a greater speed and feasibility as said above this is completely web based, javascript rendering, 'OS' itself gives a rich internet page look.

iOS 7 release may get flickr and vimeo integration

If you love making heavy use of whatever popular social media apps are available on the App Store for your iPhone, you may be interested in the following rumor. We know that iOS 7 is on the way to WWDC 2013 for a grand unveiling, but now we hear that it may be coming with some brand new social integration, following on from the popular Facebook and Twitter integration built into iOS 6.

As most of you know, iOS 6 now allows users to sign into their personal Twitter and Facebook accounts directly from the settings menu. There’s also deep integration with Sina Weibo as well for consumers over in China, and it looks like Apple are planning to expand on this with iOS 7.

Information highlighted by 9to5Mac, suggests that iOS 7 will mark the debut of Flickr and Vimeo integration into the iPhone, iPad and other supported devices. Like Facebook and Twitter, users will then be able to sign into their respective spaces on Flickr and Vimeo but more importantly – allow instant uploads to these new apps as well direct from your device.

For example, you’ll now be able to take either a photo or video and have direct access to instant uploads to your Flickr and Vimeo profiles. Vimeo will be especially useful for those that want an alternative to YouTube, while Flickr integration has been a long request from iOS users for many years.

Considering that Google owns YouTube and Apple has now removed their in-house YouTube app from the iPhone, we wonder if the company actually has a view to replacing YouTube with Vimeo in the future – ie, blocking Google’s YouTube application from the App Store.

These two social apps will certainly be a nice addition to iOS 7 if confirmed true, but we wonder how long Apple plans to take, to finally get some Instagram integration added as well – perhaps iOS 8?
