If you havent noticed... I love patterns. The first was done in the midst of a fever and the second, well skulls are just brilliant.

This is for those of you who have an iphone, you love it to bits and yet it hates you, its sole purpose it to make you seem stupid.
I am forever sending mispelt texts thanks to my phone and I have illustrated some of my favourite and weirdest ones.

The Mallades. It started with me reading an article about ducks and their odd behaviour...

"The strange case of the homosexual necrophiliac duck pushed out the boundaries of knowledge in a rather improbable way when it was recorded by Dutch researcher Kees Moeliker."

The title is a pun on the fact this makes ducks seem somewhat ill. Mallard is the name for ducks and the french word malade means to be ill, mashed together makes The Mallades.

Its Christmas which means Ive got the time to work on other projects that aren't my dissertation or university work, which I am still working on. Right now I'm working on three different things, one of them is finished and waiting to be printed after Christmas is over.

A cover for a new zine, The Mallades. I have been working on for ages and finally have it ready to print. It started with me reading an article about ducks and their odd behaviour...

And finally this is a font I created using my ipad. It will be used in a story that I'm illustrating by James Stedman.

I love printed matter and seeing my drawings in a hard copy. For quite some time now Ive wanted to print a book with some of my favourite drawings. I finally got down to doing it. The book looks amazing and theres a copy of it for sale on etsy.

This year I decided to draw my own christmas cards and postcards to give to family and friends. I realise that Im spoiling the suprise for some but never mind!

Some dreams you only remember snippets and trying to draw those vauge snippets is hard.
Last night I had a horrid dream, that nearlly everything was built upon glaciers and I was the only person who knew. These glaciers started to tip sideways destroying everything and causing floods.

I saw something on a news site earlier and I have to both draw it and share it.
A man phoned the police after he saw a ufo coming towards him, he said 'I thought it was an aeroplane at first and then its just hovering with all these lights on.'
He then phoned back again later... "You're not going to believe this, you're not going to believe it, it's the moon."

For the past two weeks now Ive been going life drawing again and I decided to try something different with my drawings and work them into my normal weirdness, as usually the drawings I do get left and forgotten about in some sketchbook or another.

And my work is in Bizarre Magazine in the October issue and in The Subterranean Literary Journal 2.

Artists' books on tour

I'm still really suprised about this but in june I found out that I was one of the winners in the competition “Artists’ Books on Tour.” A total 925 projects were submitted to this competition and of those 50 were chosen and I was one of those 50.

"In order to bring visibility to contemporary developments in the field of artists’ books, we offer artists a platform to share their work within a unique all-European competition among book artists for the first time ever. We therefore invite artists to hand in their recent or planned art projects in the field: submissions will be accepted as completed physical or digital book objects or in the form of conceptual designs for projected but yet-unrealized book works. Outstanding works will be awarded a grant given by an international jury."

First thing, everybody loves sick. This started with the vomiting cucumber and a conversation afterwards that I should draw an orange being sick.. that orange being sick turned into many other foods and drinks being sick and that was how this was born.

Yesterday me and Mina took part in a zine fair at LCC. It was good fun even though I spent all day drinking lemsip and snotting everywhere. I also got to show my new zine Sick.

16 Monsters

I need some help, I have drawn 16 monsters and 15 of them need a name and a story.
If you would like to name a monster and construct it a story just leave a comment with your email and Ill send you a monster and the details. My aim is to make a book with these monsters, to be published online and then maybe in print...

Pencil to Digital

This is how my idea's gets turned into drawings. The process will generally start in a notebook, a quick pencil sketch followed by a thick black outline. Then I will either scan the drawing or use photobooth and take a photo so that I can then draw it again digitally.
