What Is the Difference Between AMD and Intel?

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Intel are two different companies that produce motherboards and central processing units (CPUs) found within personal computers (PC). The CPU is probably the most important part of the computer, as it is where most calculations take place that run computer programs and systems. The speed with which a CPU can process these calculations is usually given in megahertz (MHz) or gigahertz (GHz). Motherboards provide the circuitry for all computers to function.

While both AMD and Intel offer a range of different CPUs with differing speed processing speeds and price levels, Intel owns a greater percentage of market share than AMD. Both companies have been making computer components for decades, and are said to be the leaders in research and development in the computer industry for this field. Since these are two different companies, it can be difficult to compare the products created by each of them. One of most commonly listed differences is the fact that AMD tends to be cheaper than Intel.

Intel has been the established leader for producing circuit boards and CPUs from the start. It is said that AMD has been influenced by the prices and technological advances of Intel. Not only does AMD produce their own lines chips and motherboards, they also produce cloned versions of Intel products. Some people choose AMD over Intel because the AMD and Intel chips and circuit boards provide almost identical functionality, but the AMD version is about half the price of the Intel one.

Besides cost, the other key differences between AMD and Intel processors are the clock speed and the socket used to connect the processor to the computer. The clock speed is the number of operations a computer can perform in a clock cycle, which is usually one second. Due to design differences, Intel processors are usually faster than AMD ones, but AMD processors are more efficient. As such, for each AMD and Intel processor, the Intel version is usually slightly faster than its AMD counterpart.

The difference in sockets is an important factor to consider. Not only do the connectors not match up, the electrical characteristics and instructions used are different. This is important if anything were to happen to the processor in a computer. If the processor had to be replaced, it would have to be replaced by the same brand, either AMD or Intel. Processors can be upgraded, but again, the same brand must be used when making the replacement.

The Installation Process

As with most Windows installation programs, inserting the CD-ROM (ordered or purchased from Oracle) into the CD-ROM drive automatically executes the setup program. (If this does not happen, use the Windows Explorer to view the contents of your CD-ROM drive and double click on the “setup” program there).

If you downloaded the Oracle9i from Oracle Technet, then you need to unzip the files into a three temporary directories and double click on the setup.exe program in the Disk1 directory) to get the installation process started.

The following Welcome window will appear:

It is assumed that this is a fresh install so no other Oracle products should be installed at this time.

Click on the Next button to move to the File Locations screen as shown below:

In this screen, the Source and Destination locations must be selected.

The Source path should reflect either your CD-ROM or the directory in which you unzipped the source files. Leave this as the default. In the example above, the source files were unzipped into c:\source\Oralce\9i\NT20009011\Disk1 directory.

For the Destination, leave the Oracle Home named OraHome90 as the default. Choose a hard disk drive that has at least 10 gigabytes of free space. In the example here, we are using the C: drive.

Leave the \Oracle\Ora90 path as it is (the default). If you must change this to a different drive, only change the drive letter and not the directories.

Click on the Next button to load the Product information. This may take up to 2 minutes (depending on the speed of your machine). Once the product information has been read, the following 3 “Available Products” options are presented:

Make sure the Oracle9i Database 9.0.1.1.1 is selected and click on the Next button.

The “Installation Types” screen will appear next. For this installation, we chose the Enterprise Edition.

The “Database Configuration” screen will appear next:

For this install, we chose the “General Purpose” Database option. Click on the Next button to continue.

The next step is to identify the database using the Global database name:

If some default Global database name and SID are given, keep them. Otherwise, use the following (make a note of these for later on):

Global Database Name is orcl

Oracle SID is orcl

Click on the Next button to continue to the “Data File Location ” screen

In this step, you need to select where the Oracle data files will be located. In large operations, we typically keep the data files on a separate disk (or disks), however, for this install, we are storing the data files in the same C:\oracle directory tree. Keep the default as shown and click on the Next button to continue.

In the next screen, choose the default character set for the database:

Click on the Next button to move to the “Summary” screen:

In this screen (shown above), the products and files that will be installed are summarized. Note that in this example, it will take 1.5 GB MB of disk space for the installation of the software. Additional space will be required for the default database.

If everything looks OK at this point, click on the Install button to begin the installation.

During the install, you will notice various Oracle products being copied over to the hard disk. For example, in the above figure, a portion of the Oracle Enterprise Manager is being installed.

Once the installation is completed, the next step will be to configure the various additional services and the database. This is shown below:

Each of the configuration programs will be executed in turn. The HTTP Server (Oracle/Apache) should launch automatically and open up TCP/IP port 80. You should notice a new Command window as follows:

The Net Configuration Assistant and Oracle Intelligent Agent should run automatically and not prsent any sustained screens.

The Oracle Database Configuration Assistant will appear for some time while the default database is created and opened. As below:

Once the default database has been installed, the following screen will appear:

Clicking on the Password Management button and change the default passwords for the SYS, SYSTEM, SCOTT and DBSNMP accounts as shown below:

Click the OK button when done.

This should conclude the configuration of the database and the “End of Installation” screen should appear as below. Click on the Exit button and click on the following Yes button to confirm exiting the Installation program.

At this point, be sure to reboot your computer so any final changes can take affect. In particular, the path c:\oracle\ora90\bin will be added to the PATH environment variable.

New Program Groups

After Oracle9i is installed, you will notice several new program groups in the Start menu.

These include:

Oracle Installation ProductsTools to help manage the installation and removal of Oracle products on the machine.
Oracle – OraHome90The set of tools used to work with Oracle90. These include:
- Application Development – Tools to develop Oracle applications including SQL*Plus
- Configuration and Migration Tools – Tools to migrate older Oracle databases to version 9i
- Enterprise Management Packs
- Enterprise Manager Quick Tours
- Integrated Management Tools
- Oracle HTTP Server

Starting and Stopping the Database

Under Windows NT and Windows 2000, the Oracle 9i database runs automatically as a service. Below is a view of the Windows 2000 Services mangement console showing the services installed by default:

Note the last one OracleServerORCL is the actual database process itself. OracleOraHome90TNSListener is the listener process for remote connections to the database. OracleOraHome90Agent is the Oracle Agent used to communicate with management services. Finally, the OracleOraHome90HTTPServer is the Oracle/Apache web server.

Since the OracleServerORCL service is set to start automatically, the database wll start and mount each time the computer is started up. To manage the database processes directly, one can use the Enterprise Manager Console in Stand-alone mode. From the Start menu, choose Programs -> Oracle - OraHome90 -> Enterprise Manager Console and select Launch Standalone. The following screen should appear:

Click on the plus sign to expand the Databases branch and then once again to expand the ORCL branch. When prompted for username and password, use the SYSTEM account and choose to log in as SYSDBA. In SYSDBA mode, the SYSTEM user can perform most any manipulation of the database.

Once logged in, clicking on the Instance tree and then the Configuration tree should display the current state of the database:

Testing the Installation

Once the database is running, the SQL*Plus tool can be used to connect to the database.

Go to the Start -> Programs -> Oracle - OraHome90 -> Application Development program group and run the SQL Plus application. Once SQL Plus is running, you will be prompted for 3 things: Username, password and Host String.

The default Database Administrator’s account has a username of SYSTEM and a default password of MANAGER. You may have changed the SYSTEM account password in a previous step so use the new password.

Fill in the Username and password fields with the SYSTEM account and leave the Host String field blank. Since we are connecting to a local Oracle database, no Host String is required. Click on the OK button as shown below:

If the database is running and the username and password are typed correctly, SQL*Plus should log the SYSTEM user in and present the SQL> prompt as shown below:

By default, you can also log in with the SCOTT/TIGER account. That is, there is a demo account already set up in the database with username SCOTT and password TIGER. Many of the examples in the Oracle documentation use the tables included in the SCOTT user’s account.

Finally, the Rupee will have a symbol like the Dollar ($) or the Euro (€) or the Pound (£). On 15th of July 2010 cabinet, finalized the design for the Rupee.

Again an engineer, IIT post-graduate Uday Kumar has been honored. His design out of five shortlisted ones is selected for the new symbol of the Indian Rupee.

After a long time, Indian government organized a competition for designing the currency symbol of Indian Rupees. Prize money of the competition was 2.5 lakh. Indian economy is growing very fast and most probably that was the influencing reason for prompting the government to think in this direction. Finally, with the symbol Indian rupee has joined the elite club of global currencies like the US dollar, the British Pound, European Euro and Japanese Yen that have unique symbols. As abbreviations for Euro or USD is used for currency of Europe and United states similarly abbreviation for the Indian Rupee will continue to be ‘Re’ or ‘Rs’.
Now the next question was, as Dollar, Euro, Pound or Yen got a place on Key board will the Indian rupee get a place on the PC? So that people need not copy paste the image every time we need to mention it in somewhere.

Government has done its part. Now it is our turn to make it a success.

New Rupee Symbol of India - How to use in Computers?

Download the font. -> ”Rupee_Foradia.ttf”
Save it to fonts folder of your PC: Location :
C:/Windows/Fonts and then go to the C:/Windows/Fonts location and install(double click)
Open your word processor and select the “Rupee_forindian”.

Just select “Rupee” font from the drop down list of your fonts in your application and press the key just above your tab button. It will display the new Rupee symbol of India.

How to contribute to Wikipedia?

It’s very unlikely that a frequent internet user had never stumbled into Wikipedia. Its an idea which has accelerated & revolutionized the information sharing between people. It’s very much similar to Open Source movement & many times it’s being related to OS.

Wikipedia is quite a well known name in WWW & gets priority in Google search due to its huge user base & bulk of information. Almost every type of information exists in Wikipedia. If it doesn’t exists, someone can add.

Wikipedia pages are created by the huge contribution of volunteers who shared their information. There is a hierarchy of users in Wikipedia. As you contribute more information, you will be promoted to higher levels.

Wikipedia is written collaboratively by largely anonymous Internet volunteers who write without pay. Anyone with Internet access can write and make changes to Wikipedia articles (except in certain cases where editing is restricted to prevent disruption and/or vandalism). How to contribute to Wikipedia?

Wikipedia is powered by a free software called MediaWiki. MediaWiki allows you to edit any page within the wiki. To edit a page, you simply click on the edit tab at the top of a page. There are other tab at the top like discussion tab which is for describing your addition to a wiki page.

Contributing to Wikipedia is quite an easy job, though the process of contributing as explained by Wikipedia is too cumbersome that may scare away the possible contributors.
First of all, create a username in Wikipedia, its recommended (by me) because you can access your contribution list & watch list (see on top right of the picture). Although you can contribute without getting signed up but you can’t access your contribution list & you can’t observe which of yours contribution are retained on the Wikipedia & which are removed. Formatting the text follows some rules which is easy to learn. After looking at some edit pages text anybody can understand the format & rules to be followed. There are also some set of wiki help pages concerning the format & rules.

There are many ways you can contribute to the Wikipedia, contributing pictures is quite an easy job. You have to search in Google images for free images. (use advance preferences as shown in picture)

You can add your own photos clicked by yourself (It will be better if you get its copyright using some copyright providers like Creative Commons). Upload the picture to Wiki-media Commons i.e. the repository of all Wikipedia files.
Wikipedia hates illegal use of copyrighted content.
You can also add some useful articles in the Wikipedia if its not there. You can edit some content which you find appropriate to be appended or added. In editing a content or adding new article, the important issue is citation. You must refer to a reliable source of information that can be cross verified or your amendment will be rolled back by any higher authority. Mostly reliable source is another reliable site. You can’t give reference of a forum or similar sites, since the information present there is questionable. For further information visit this link.

Installing MYSQL Connector/J JDBC on Microsoft Windows

Obtaining Connector/J MySQL JDBC Driver

Go to MySQL.com's JDBC section and click the 'Production Release' link for Connector/J:

Click the 'production release' link for Connector/J JDBC Driver.

A list of mirrors will be displayed to you. Pick a mirror and download Connector/J driver. Once you are done with downloading the .zip or .gz file, unzip or untar the file to extract the files in a temporary folder.

Installing Connector/J MySQL JDBC Driver

Among the extracted files will be a JAR file with a name like 'mysql-connector-java-3.0.8-stable-bin.jar'. Copy this file to your %JAVA_HOME%/jre/lib/ext folder which on my system happens to be D:\j2sdk1.4.2\jre\lib\ext>.

You should also add the complete path to this JAR file in your CLASSPATH environment variable. In case if you don't know how to do that, go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced (tab) -> Environment Variables. Double-click 'CLASSPATH' if it is already listed there or click 'New' to create one with the name of 'CLASSPATH'. If you already had a 'CLASSPATH environment variable listed, simply type in (or paste) the complete path including file name in the window that opens up *at the end of* existing CLASSPATH values. If you are creating a new 'CLASSPATH' environment variable then simple enter '.;' and then append the complete path to Connector/J's JAR file.

Note:

The CLASSPATH variable contains a list of semi-colon separated folders and JAR files where JVM will search for Java class files. You should always separate paths with semi-colon (;) so that JVM can understand where one path ends and next one begins. Also keep in mind that in CLASSPATH variable paths, the first path is always '.' (single dot) which means current folder, so that JVM starts the search for Java class files from the current folder.

Internet giant, Google is marking British-Hungarian inventor and electrical engineer, Dennis Gabor’s 110th birthday with a doodle on the website. Google has changed the main image on its search engine. Denni Gabor was given a noble prize in Physics in 1971 for inventing holography. Gabor was born in on June 5th, 1900 in Budapest and he died on 9th February, 1979 in London. Gabor’s contributions are well recognized. The Hungarian government gives awards on his name to the young scientists. The government gives the award for acknowledged distinction of interdisciplinary work between the life sciences with other subjects. The holograms are used in today’s products for districting them from fakes. Holograms and holography technology are used in areas of data storage, security, art, etc.

Google Doodle spinning animated Buckyball on 25th birthday anniversary of discovery of the “buckyball”. This is not the first time when Google used an animated/interactive Google Doodle. Earlier Google had animated logos for Issac Newton, Pacman and many others.

Buckminsterfullerene was named after ‘Richard Buckminster Fuller’ an architect and designer who popularized the geodesic dome. Buckyballs have been studied extensively for use in technology including material science, electronics, and nanotechnology.

I collected dozen of photos never before seen and integrated them in this article. All look amazing to me, but I liked the “World” one the best. How to install MySQL in Windows 7

This article on how to install MySQL on Windows 7 . Before we begin, I like you to determine the system type - whether your computer is 32 bit or 64 bit.You can know the system type from the "Control Panel" -> "System and Security" -> "System".

Download MySQL installer file

Be sure to choose the MySQL installer file that corresponds to your system type. For me, it was the mysql-essential-5.1.40-winx64.msi file from the MySQL.com web site. I chose the essentials file because it is sufficient for my needs. However, there is nothing stopping you from picking the bulky Windows MSI Installer if you want.

Instructions to install MySQL on Windows 7

The process of installing MySQL is not very difficult, so don't be intimidated by the large number of points; I just wanted to be thorough.

Start MySQL installation by double-clicking the .msi file - click "Run" when prompted.Click "Next" button in the introductory window.

In the following screen, select Custom installation which will allow you to specify the folder to which MySQL will be installed. You can go ahead with a Typical MySQL setup but this will put MySQL deep down in the "Program Files" folder.

Click the "Change" button and enter C:\MySQL in the Folder name field. Hit "OK" when done .

The installer will change the MySQL installation folder to the one specified by you.

You are now ready to install MySQL on Windows 7 operating system. Click "Install".

It would take some time for the progress bar to move ahead... be patient .

You may also get messages along the way - simply click on "Next" to proceed.

When the process finishes, you'll get to see the final screen. Congratulations - MySQL has been installed on your computer. You are now prompted to Configure the MySQL server and register the product. In the interest of time, I had unchecked the second box and clicked "Finish".

MySQL instance configuration is important - you cannot use the software until you do so. Click "Next" to proceed.

Select "Detailed Configuration".Choose "Developer Machine".

I suggest going ahead with "Multifunctional Database" unless you know what you are doing .

In the following screen, don't mess with the default values and click "Next".

The same goes for the subsequent screen - click "Next".

For the networking options configuration, put a check mark in front of "Enable Strict Mode" if it's not there .

Yes, it's recommended to install MySQL as a Windows service and have the system include the MySQL bin directory in the Windows PATH variable.

The password for the MySQL server instance has to be typed in twice. Remember to keep a note of it - Don't lose this MySQL password.

The configuration wizard has received all the information it needs and is ready to create a MySQL server instance. Click "Execute" button .

The instance should be configured without problems.

Today at Google I/O, the company made the announcement that everyone was waiting for — Google TV. While some glitches in the demo (with the Bluetooth keyboard) prevented it from being a “wow” moment, the implications are pretty clear what Google is going for. That is, the 4 billion TV users worldwide. Or rather, advertising to the 4 billion TV users worldwide.

Google noted that while computer usage is huge with 1 billion users, and mobile is even bigger with 2 billion users, TV is the real massive medium with 4 billion users around the world. Further, Google notes that people spend 5 hours a day on average in the U.S. watching TV — and that’s more than ever before. Then the real stat came out. 70 billion dollars. that’s the annual ad spend on television in U.S. alone.

Video should be consumed on the biggest, best, and brightest screen in your house, Google says. And while they’re not the first to attempt this, Google thinks they can get it right. There are four things they’re focusing on:

With Google TV, you’ll spend less time finding, more time watching
We’ll also show you more ways to personalize content
We’ll make existing TV much more interesting
This is much more than a TV

“TV meets web. Web meets TV” is the slogan Google is going with for this new endeavor. It will work as a new box — you’ll just hook up your existing cable or satellite box to it. All the hardware will include a keyboard and a mouse — but it will work with Android phones too. And you can use multiple Android devices to control the same TV — no more fighting over the remote.

You can also use the Android devices to speak to your TV — voice search on the TV.

Google TV is built on Android (2.1 right now, but they’ll upgrade it later). It runs Google Chrome for the browser. And yes, it has Flash (10.1).

Also cool, since Google TV is Android-powered, Android apps will work on the TV. With the device, there will be two app frameworks: web apps and Android apps. A new SDK for the Google TV is coming as well. And YouTube has a new product they’re launching for Google TV: YouTube Leanback — this is an optimized way to use YouTube on a big screen.

Google TV will be open sourced in both the Android and Chrome source trees.

Google has partnered with multiple device makers to bring the product to market. There will be three Google TV devices. Sony will have TVs and Blu-ray players with Google TV built in. Logitech will have a companion box. Intel will be powering all the devices with the Atom processor.

Google has also partnered with Dish Network — there will be an enhanced Google TV experience with it. And they have a retail partnership with Best Buy.

These will all launch in Fall 2010. But the platform won’t launch for developers until 2011.

As a bonus, as Google showed during its demo, Google TV is one hell of a way to search for “MILFs” from your couch.

When i started blogging i knew like what to do but then just to make it clear i started surfing about tips for making a good blog and i came across many things and the below are few best points that i came across.Just have a glance if you are new to blogging and its just a "turnback to the basics"

Long, thoughtful, provoking and inspiring articles – every now and then. You don’t want to overwhelm your blog followers with three or four blog posts a week that span several screen lengths. But once in a blue moon – go for it!

Short thoughtful, provoking, and inspiring articles – get the difference? You don’t have to write a novel. Just a paragraph or two.

”How-to’s” – 3 steps, 5 secrets, 3 tips types of articles. For example, three things you need to pack for a day-long hike. Or five must-haves in your make-up kit.

Quotes – yours or others. You can just post the quotation, or you can explain why this particular quotation is particularly inspiring to you.

Resources – this is where you share your favorite things: books, tools, other coaches/consultants/experts.

Quick stories about something that happened to you that highlights a perspective you believe in.

Simple Science -- Refraction

I wanted to make glass disappear in a liquid . I was just browsing about it and found the way.This simple video shows how the glass gets disappeared inside the liquid.

Step 1:

Get a glass rod made from pyrex. This was the hardest part. I got one from the high school chemistry department. Using hollow glass objects like test tubes and pipets and eye-droppers isn't as impressive. The double wall nature of these objects makes it more than twice as hard to make the object disappear. Plus having a glass rod results in a simple test to see if your liquid's index of refraction is too high or too low (explained below in step 4). Pyrex has a low IOR compared to other glasses. Fortunately it is a very common glass. Most glass blown decorations are also pyrex so you could try one of those if you have one.

Step 2:

Pick two liquids that can be mixed together . One with an index of refraction higher than glass and one lower.Baby Oil's IOR is slightly lower than glass. Oil is slightly higher.You only have to mix for 10-30 seconds before testing. It requires 1 to 3 minutes each time you add a drop of water. Also it gets bubbles in it easily and they take 30-60 minutes to reach the surface and pop.

Step 3:

Next is to find a suitable transparent container and put a horizontal line on it or behind it for testing purposes.

Step 4:

Testing! Put your liquid in your container, insert glass rod. Hold rod vertically and tilt it to the left or the right. If the horizontal line tilts in the same direction, then the index of refraction of the liquid is too low. Water is a good example of this. Here is a picture with water - note that the red line is angled roughly twice that of the rod but in the same direction. If the line tilts in the opposite direction your IOR is too high. As you get close, the tilt is very subtle and you have to look at the edges, tilt the rod more, or hold the rod farther from the horizontal line (towards the front of the container).

Step 5:

Mixing - obviously steps 4 and 5 are repeated alot to get it perfect.If you add too much water (easy to do) and your container is getting too full, put this mixture aside and use it instead of water next time. The mixing goes much faster because the difference in IOR between the two liquids isn't as dramatic.

TEMPERATURE! - I've read that temperature will affect IOR so make sure you do your testing with the liquids at room temperature or at the temperature which they will be used. This goes for your glass also.

Simple Science -- Magic Sand

Magic sand is ordinary sand which has been coated with trimethylsilanol, a compound which makes the sand resistant to water. The result is a hydrophobic sand which can be used in all sorts of interesting ways. Magic sand was originally developed for use in the cleanup of oil spills, but it has come to be used as a children's toy and educational tool instead. Many stores which sell science-orientated kid's toys stock magic sand.

Because magic sand resists water, it performs very strangely when it is exposed to water. Individual grains of sand tend to stick together in the water, creating blocks of sand underwater which can be molded into various shapes. When scattered lightly across the surface of water, magic sand will stick together and form a thin layer of sand which eventually get too heavy to float, sinking slowly to the bottom. Magic sand also appears slightly silvery underwater, thanks to the bubble of air which forms around the granules of sand.

When lifted out of the water, magic sand is perfectly dry and free-flowing. People who grew up playing with magic sand may remember how mesmerizing the mysterious substance was, as the seemingly solid underwater shapes would dissolve instantly when pulled out of the water.

The idea behind this sand when it was initially developed was that it could be scattered across an oil spill to bond to the oil. As the sand bonded with the oil and to itself, it would grow extremely heavy, eventually sinking to the bottom of the ocean and taking the oil with it. However, magic sand proved expensive to manufacture, and doubts were raised about the environmental soundness of this cleanup method.As a result of its commercial failure, the manufacturer was left wondering what to do with its new invention. The solution was to dye the sand in eye-catching colors, label it “magic sand,” “Mars sand,” or “space sand,” and sell it as a toy. Magic sand was immensely popular in the 1980s, much to the chagrin of parents who had to clean up after their children, and it continues to be used in scientific demonstrations of the properties of hydrophobic materials.

You can make magic sand at home, should you feel so inclined. Magic sand can be made by baking sand to remove the moisture and then coating it with a water repellent such as 3M's Scotchgard, tossing the sand to ensure that it is evenly coated.

I recently attended the Virtuoso 10 QUIZ at my college symposium after which i wondered that i was not aware of many Keyboard Shortcut keys because there were few keys whose function was asked and i was blinking as that of the participants!!So just made a brief collection of Keyboard Shortcut keys and have posted it here.It is not necessary that one has to know the Shortcut keys but then it is essential to make one's work faster if you want it to be!Else not a big deal!!

My role model in my life is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.Who is Gandhi?How did he come into my life?

Gandhiji was not great impressive personality in my early life!I did come to know him through my GK books and of course my history books!!!Anyways i did learn about him a really long lesson when i was in class 10,but then just didn't think anything really great of him.Thought that he was also just a social worker.The mistake was that i didn't visualize Bapu's early life.I just started learning that he completed his law and came to India and seeing people suffer he thought that people should be relieved from all their torture,and started working and got freedom.It did sound very simple to me in my early life.

I did come to know about him more only when i reached my college.It was like i lost a seat in a college which i dreamt of doing my under graduation only by 1.75 marks.I was quite upset with it and i have cried thinking of my fate quite a number of times.My Dad used to convince me and then on i started listening to the advice of my father.Because before that i didn't have much of a chance or time to spend with my father.He was once talking with me asusual and suddenly he started talking about Gandhiji.I just startted to know more about Gandhi only after my fathers talk i can tell!!!

I just really wonder about the PATIENCE that the personality had.WOW!I salute him!!Hats off to Gandhiji!!!I did have a chance to look at the movie Gandhi when once we were taken to the newly constructed Gandhi Museum at my college,great was it!!!I can never forget that visit.I had a look at the very rare pictures of Gandhiji.

My Favourite Poems

A poet is one who writes verses and one who does not write verses;

I was very much frustrated when i had to memorize the poems,but after few years i started enjoying the poems.This did not last for a long time because all my subjects got changed when i entered my college and i didn't get a chance to explore more poems.But then when i came to blogging i took it as a chance to refresh all my favorite poems and in this post i have posted all my favorite poems.Poems are always something enthusing and refreshing when they flash in my mind. To best poem according to me is the one by Robert Frost which i have posted as the first one.I just love the last two lines of this poem which is quite meaningful!.

Robert Frost:

Robert Frost was born on March 26, 1874 in San Francisco, California. When Frost was two years old, his mother fled to Lawrence, Massachusetts, to get away from her husband.A few years later, Robert's father died. By the time he was 11, Robert Frost had crossed the U.S. three times.

After this rough beginning, Robert went on to become a great poet. He married Elinor White and had 2 kids. Robert never in truth had any jobs, except being a poet, but he published many poems in his lifetime. Some of them are: The Road not Taken, The Raft of Flowers, The Pasture, and others. Robert also won four Pultizer awards and read The Gift Outright at the inauguration of John. F. Kennedy. He died on January 29, 1963 of a heart attack. He was 88 years old.

There is also another poem by William Wordsworth which i like a lot.It is nothing but the beautiful poem named THE DAFFODILS.William Wordsworth is a well known NATURE POET and all his poems mostly emphasize the beauty of nature.In all his collections this is a remarkable one which i can never forget.

William Wordsworth was a major English romantic poet who, with Samuel Taylor Coleridge, helped launch the Romantic Age in English literature with their joint publication, Lyrical Ballads. Wordsworth’s masterpiece is generally considered to be The Prelude, an autobiographical poem of his early years that was revised and expanded a number of times. It was never published during his lifetime, and was only given the title after his death. Up until this time it was generally known as the poem “to Coleridge”. Wordsworth was England’s Poet Laureate from 1843 until his death in 1850.
