A leak photos of the 2013 Santa Fe. This could be the most angular interpretation of Hyundai fluidic front end design, while the rear follow the same trend as the new Elantra with elegantly wrapped around tail light.

After a set of studio photo for the Geneva-bound 2012 Kia Cee'd, the car is out in the wild. The design is immediately recognizable as a Kia, with a latest evolution of their Tiger grille, now in more elaborate and rounded at the corner.

All of the contemporary Kia has well laid-back Tiger grille, but the latest iteration on the 2012 Cee'd is more forward slanted than before, giving it a more snout like appearance in this angle. The crisp but angular lines from the Forte and Optima K5 has been softened, giving it a more harmonic instead of brash looks.

The rear end has some Sportage-like kind of silhouette, provided by the similar theme of rear light and rear glass shape outline. One more photo after the jump.

Youngman SUV spied again - with Gen2 audio and Persona seat?

The prototype of the Lotus Engineering designed Youngman SUV has been spied again. While the spyshot revealed no new details, it become clearer that the resemblance to the Proton MSX is minimal. The entire front end is totally different. For one, underneath the camouflaged, the headlamp shape is rectangular instead of triangular. The hood lines and front grille outlines form a plunging U instead of sharp V like the MSX/APX. Hence, from now onwards, I think, the Chinese (or world media for the matter) should stop relating this SUV to the production version of the Proton Group uber-SUV.

The interior shot shows a cohesively designed centre console, with a classy audio and climate control systems. There are aplenty of chrome surrounding the dials and buttons. The steering and gearknob looks like from the Youngman L5, another LEM-designed car.

The mule interior funnily adopt an old Proton Gen2 audio system in place of the cohesively designed ICE+climate panel as above. The exposed door inner shows the door inside handle + lock knob assy adopt the cable connecting instead of the primitive rod solution. The weather film can be seen too together with its adhesive pattern. Finally, isn't the front seat is from the original Proton Persona?

Proton P3-21A interior spied for the first time!

It has been long time coming, but finally the interior of the eagerly-awaited Proton P3-21A has been snapped. The car was spied at Genting Sempah parking with the other two P3-21A's. The other two cars were blanketed, while this one wasn't and they meter binnacle seems illuminated. The tester photo-ed the car themselves?

We can see a pseudo European design with a kick of Asian detailing. Check out the upper part of instrument panel (IP), it has some VW-look in the flattened top. The centre console is silver accented, quite thick in its application like Chevy Cruze. The aircond vent is rectangular, gone are the fancy circular item featured in the outgoing Proton.

The steering wheel is borrowed from Exora, expected as so far it is the sole model utilizing it. However, the steering control button are of different arrangement. I expect it to be utilizing the same concept as Myvi SE, with nicely protruding button for easier fall to the thumb.

The gearknob seems to be carried over from Exora too. However, the door trim and door inside handle are an all-new item. As for the door trim, the door inside handle is housed in a downward-pointing case, and the fixture is aligned with the line that separate the upper and middle portion of the door trim. The door handle lever, although similar in silhouette like Persona/Exora item, it actually is a bit contoured, unlike the flat surface of Persona/Exora item. The lever is slanted down-frontward too, unlike Persona/Exora application which it sits straight horizontal.

Enlarging the phot, one can see that just above the gear console are the aircond dials, perhaps there are three of them (middle one unseen), the audio system sits up high, flanked by the a row of button accented with silver outer lining.

All in all, preliminarily, the neew interior design exudes class. It has some VW, germanic restrained look to itm, unlike the exuberant and flamboyant approached modelled by Hyundai these days. It is however, expected as a product from Italdesign, which is very well known for its subdued and restrained approach that is easier to the eye in the long term.

Elsewhere on the car, one can also see the strakes on the delta panel near the wing mirror. The new Toyota Camry Hybrid has this feature too, to streamline the airflow around the side window panel.

The middle car does not have an alloy wheel, it has a wheel cover instead. Perhaps this is the baseline model. We can also see the LED rear light of the outer two cars. We can see the detail of rear combi already. It has a simple arrangement of middle white part, surrounded by red lenses. What remains a mystery is the shape of the light mounted on the trunk lid. Will be like the Tuah rear end?

Rumors: Toyota Readying a Supercharged Version of the GT 86? - Carscoop

Toyota has repeatedly stressed that the GT 86was developed as a pure, fun and easy to drive rear-wheel drive sports car, ignoring the horsepower race and concentrating instead on honing every detail of the chassis set-up.

In fact, the Japanese carmaker was so determined to stay true to its promise that it even included drift tests in its development program. The production model is said to have an estimated 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph).

However, almost everyone who has driven the 86 has found it lacking in oomph and, especially, low- and mid-range torque. In other words, you need to rev it hard to get the best out of it.

Proton P3-21A spied at Karak Highway

Paultan reader Bay MH spied Proton P3-21A at Karak highway. Two car were there and the capturer was chasing them with this Toyota Vios, while there's another black Fiesta chasing the pack too. While we have seen the totally naked yellow car earlier, there's still no leaked photo on the rear yet.

The front of the car revealed nothing new yet compared to the naked yellow car we have seen earlier. The photo can be seen HERE. The previously covered front grille is now unmaked whereby you can clearly see the upper garnish, and the emblem mounted dead centre, flanked by the simple horizontally bar right to the edge of headlamp.

The photo below shows the tyre gap with the wheel arch is not as huge as Saga, but more like the current Persona. However, from some angle, the tall-body configuration does show, and under-tyred perception could still be get with the wrong perspective.

The rear end is of course, still unseen uncovered yet. However, the similar theme to Saga FLX is noted here, with slim, small rear combi housed in the side structure, with additional light part running across the rear fascia of the trunk lid.

I wouldn't be surprise if the inner graphic of the rear combi does not differ too much from the Saga FLX design. After all, the upper amber and bottom white lens arrangement is already similar to Saga FLX.

The brake light will run across the centre span too. We can see here that under braking, the centre part is illuminated too. This and some more photo below does indicate that the centre lighting is very likely to be LED illuminated too. After all, it will look awkward if the lighting is not consistent. SPIED: Mercedes-Benz's Three-Row 2013 GL-Class SUV Shows More Skin - Carscoop

Mercedes-Benz seems set to rejuvenate its entire lineup within the next couple of years. Now, one of our wily spies has caught yet another snap of a new Mercedes-Benz model, the second generation of the GL-Class that was snagged testing with reduced camouflage in Europe.

The new Mercedes-Benz ML-Class that forms the base for the longer 2013 GL-Class has already set the tone so don't expect any surprises on the design front.

That said, the three-row crossover model will look a lot like the vehicle it replaces combining a rising beltline and upright profile with the squared nose and other styling details of the newer ML.

Power will come from the same engine range as the 2012 ML including a more potent 240-horsepower V6 diesel and a choice of V8 petrol units, while certain markets will also get Mercedes-Benz's brand new direct-injection 3.5-liter V6 gasoline unit delivering 302-horsepower.

Expect the redesigned GL-class to appear in showrooms sometime next year as a 2013 model.

Following up the leaked Modellista brochure of the forthcoming Toyota FT86, the standard car brochure now made its way to the internet. Apart from seeing a design inspiration for their latest model, a 2000GT window line in this case, we also know that the Toyota FT86 will be powered by single engine option in the form of Subaru-sourced flat-4 2.0l driving the rear wheel via 6 speed manual or 6 speed auto option.

Proton Exora FL uncovered front - on LHD test car

Paultan has a new photo of the allegedly Proton Exora facelift with LHD steering location. From the photo, seems that the front end zero camouflaged. Perhaps because this is black car and hence the tape can't be seen. But anyway, the front end of Exora FL/turbo looks miles better than the current one. Full-width chrome hood garnish gives an impression of flatter front end to displace current bulbous look. Taller outer bumper air intake give the impression of width, together with horizontal inner section with inward foglamp mount.

The rear end is however still camouflaged. The rear combi and lower bumper valence is still taped up. Anyway, things are looking good. Good to hear too that Exora is due to exported to left hand drive market too as current domestic sales of circa 2500 units permonth is far from excellent.

Toyota FT86 leaked Modellista brochure?

Latest spyshots of Avanza/Xenia family, this time around all the photos are for Daihatsu Xenia. From the presentation photos we also now know that the new Avanza and Xenia is slightly larger than the previous model by around 30mm, taking it to just under 4,200mm.

Funtasticko website has two sets of P3-21A spyshots, one is the night test, and the other one is day test with Astra VXR as a chase car. These two sets reveal nothing new whatsoever, as Proton camouflage is as thick as ever, showing nothing interesting interesting. The day time spyshot has a glimpse of interior, but is not close enough to conjecture something significant.

New Toyota Avanza 2012 - exterior and interior photo, preliminary specs and photo gallery

The new 2012 Toyota Avanza is getting closer to the launch date. More and more photos have leaked through the net, and they look like the photo from dealer preview session. These early photos indicate a huge departure from current bland Avanza/Xenia styling. The new budget MPV has more stylisized headlamps, more intricate bumper detailing that even come in two design, more D-pillar rake and sharper rear combi design. The interior adopt more modern approach than the current car, with more cohesive integration in center console. Silver accents are sprinkled liberally at the steering and the console to break the monotone. There will be 1.3E, 1.5G and Veloz variants. The white MPV in all following photos are the Veloz version, a sportier among the trio.

According to industry source, the Malaysian market will no longer get their Avanza from Perodua Rawang plant anymore. In a move to slash production cost, the production of Avanza right now is solely in Indonesia. Even with CBU cost factored it, the masssively cheaper part cost from Indonesian supplier still make the business case to fully import it to Malaysian market.

New McLaren F1 starts testing program

Autocar UK reported that the successor to the legendary McLaren F1 has started its testing phase in Spain last month before moving to German for more development. Hot climate test also was mentioned to be conducted in Bahrain. This is in preparation of its 2014 launch.

The hyper-car is set to eclipse all supercars currently and will be on-sale including the Veyron and upcoming Ferrari Enzo replacement and Porsche 918 Spyder. The Mega-Mac is rumored to be powered by 5.0l V8 producing 799hp. The powertrain is developed with Ricardo Consulting Engineers (RCE) and sets to channel its drive via Graziano dual-clutch gearbox to the rear wheel. The power and drive configuration, together with lightweight carbon fibre monocell that offers minimum luxury will enable the Mega-Mac to spring to standtill to 60 mph in mere 2.8 seconds, and 20.0 second to 200mph.

McLaren insider describe the Mega-Mac as an 'angrier, bigger and more functional looking' compared to MP4-12C. The new hyper car is expected to cost close to GBP 1million with a run of 500 cars.

2012 Subaru BRZ spyshots - clearer design cue visible

The production model will make it world debut in Japan later in the year, but Subaru is bringing the concept (hopefully not the wireframe body) to LA Autoshow. 2012 BMW F30 3-series interior spyshots

3 days to go before the official unveiling of the next generation BMW 3 series, the interior of the bread-and-butter BMW model, the F30 has been spied, revealing for the first time the floor console design.

The design of the F30 cabin is a mixture from F10 5-series and F20 new 1-series. The dashboard is visibly taller than the outgoing model, with more driver-centric layout. Previous spyhots already indicated the stand-alone screen for GPS/i-drive which hopefully eliminate the "basement-feeling" of current non-i-drive E90 model with their plain dashboard. The design of floor console is similar to F20 1-series, with clear segregation of gear console and the rest of floor console accomodating the i-drive controller among other things. The car also will retain the traditional handbrake instead of electronically-controlled item of the more expensive BMW's.

Volvo C30 four door spyshots

Volvo is expanding its small car portfolio with this version of C30, with 4 doors V30 instead of just two. This is part of their plan to diversify their small car portfolio, fending off the likes of F20 1-series and Audi A3. The range will also spawned a small crossover dubbed XC30. All this additional models will be launched after the next generation C30 makes it debut.

The spyshots revealed the new Volvo design signature of more angular front end design ala the new S60. The taillight still incorporating a wrap-around type, with the length extended over the rear pillar as XC60. One more photo after the jump.

2012 Toyota Camry China Model spied - with Sport model

With the USDM and Ukraine Toyota Camry model launched, China market is the next one to unveiled the latest Toyota mid-size saloon. It is expected to bow in at Guangzhou Autoshow in November. Some keen eyes photographer managed to snap the spyshots of China market Camry.

In China, Camry will come in 2.0l and 2.5l variant. The smaller-engined model will drive its front wheel via 5 speed auto-transmission, while the latter will be through 6 speed autobox. The bigger capacity car will also comes in "SE guise" which comprises of different bumper and grille treatment for "sportier" image. No revision is powertrain is expected. Note the different radiator grille design, where the meshed element take over the horizontal bars, 3 sections of front lower bumper intakes as opposed to single opening of Standard model. For the rear end, the rear bumper differs slightly and dual exhaust setup make an appearance.

Honda CR-V 2012 caught testing in Europe

Honda new CR-V has been been caught testing in Europe. While all the spyshots prior to this were shot in the USA, the new Honda SUV might be undergoing its final stage of testing in the Europe. The styling underneath the wrap however is not item of surprise anymore,as it has uncovered before by spyshots from China. The interior design has been spied too, explained here. The only questions now are the engine choice. The US market is almost confirmed to get a K24 engine and a new 2.5l engine (codename K25 with 201bhp). Photos below are courtesy of Carscoop.

Perodua salesman web has leaked the brochure and price list of the new Perodua Myvi 1.5 ahead of its official launching on 15th of September. As explained last time, two variants are available, SE and Extreme. There's a talk on 3rd model, but only to be revealed on the launch day.

BMW X6 LCi spied

Worldcarfans has spied the facelift version of BMW outrageous Coupe SUV, the X6. The car looks very much production ready where changes consist of new headlight, front bumper and rear lights.

Changes that can be immediately spotted at the front is the new headlight graphics and fog lamp-less bumper lower side intake. The rest of front bumper looks the same though. Maybe the Bimmer fans can help me spotting it.

Changes to the rear is similarly hard to spot. Apart from the previously mentioned tail light graphics, I don't see any other changes.

However, some updates are expected in powertrain front. While the gasoline engines are likely a carry-over item, the diesel are rumored to include new tri-turbo 3 litres six cylinder engine that produced 345hp. More photos and comparison to the current model after the jump.

Ford Fiesta CUV

Ford is set to have another spin-off from its Fiesta platform. While we have repeatedly seen the B-Max small MPV including its interior shots, carscoop has now spied the raised ground clearance model, believed to be sub-SUV.

The CUV is based on Fiesta platform and believed to utilize a host of similar powertrain with the hatchback, including the latest 1.0l i-3 turbo EcoBoost engine.

The clear reference with Fiesta hatchback. The raised ground clearance can be seen. The roofline is notably different too, indicating only a shared platform. So it won't be a Fiesta look-alike with chunky offroader pretention.
