Atiar Rahman"> Kh. Atiar Rahman

There is no denying the fact that today's world is not doctrinaire, astute and cultured, rather it is full of hazards and alarming. Still nowadays, unconstrained social evils are widespread in the world. Not only in our country, but also in many parts of the world, sleaze, violence, dowry system, traffic congestion, pollutions and high rate of population survive terrifically. In earlier times, the people were peaceful in the sense that they did not know how to use weapons to mess up others. In modern world, the use of atomic energy has been impishly enhancing for which the safe and sound continued subsistence for humans are being meticulous day by day. If we look around the world, we will watch that the numbers of wars are increasing day by day for which the war against terrorism is a burning question right now. The history says, by a mammoth invasion of the terrorists, the world largest business centre situated in America has been crushed. It is a matter of great regret that the super power countries like USA, Germany, France, Russia and Great Britain failed to retaliate such attacks.
It is imperative to note that in Hiroshima and Nagashika of Japan during First World War, atom bomb had been unnerved on the soil of Japan, the first sun rising country. The end product of such atom bomb was so fatal that even today; such venomous influences are all-encompassing in the world on a large scale. Modern world is the world of threat, perils and painful and as such, the war of Vietnam was dangerous that unlimited people had been killed. The war of Iraq is most disparaging and scandalous because each and every day due to terror campaign attack, uncounted people are being killed irrespective of high or low. The peace loving forces are trying to control the country relating to law and order situation, but it is becoming difficult to control the country on the part of the alliance forces against the rebel forces. The rebel forces think that hey are fighting against the occupancy of foreign foes and according to them, they will fight till date until or unless Iraq is liberated. From the consequences of such war, we can decide that all wars cannot bring good harvest rather than the people of the world who do not find any ways to live with peace, society, friendship and love. In the midst of many arguments and debates, it seems that today's world is full of perils and dangerous place.
Due to the fact that corruption exists immensely for which we can articulate that where there is no accountability, there lies corruption and it occurs in case of dealing money in exchange of anything. In my opinion, it is the sum of total resources expressed in terms of current monetary units and the discretion power which is the authority and empowerment to spend and minus accountability. Moreover, Smoking emerge due to delay in healing of stomach ulcers; it trims down the senses of smell and taste; slows down reflexes which causes smokers more prone to accidents; and gives an unpleasant smell from the breath, clothes, and homes of smokers. Very current survey illustrates that smokers endanger the health of non-smokers. Pregnant women smokers tend to have smaller babies than non-smokers, and their babies are more likely to be born dead or die a few days after birth. Besides such tremendously adverse affects, the children of smoking parents have more lung infections in the first years of life than the children of non-smokers. During one hour in a smoky room, a non-smoker can inhale as much cancer-causing substances as some one smoking 15 filter-tip cigarettes. Illness related to smoking is very expensive. In U.K., France, Germany, China and USA, it results in the loss of about 60 millions working days a year, treatment costs several hundreds thousands dollar a day, and it causes the death of over a million people a week. However, those who give up smoking greatly reduce their chances of developing diseases.
There is no denying the fact that the profligate limits of social life in our country envisage the identity as a great threadbare for overall affluence and fiscal accuracy in our country. It is certitude that the sociable evils like teen labor, acid sadism, dowry system, strangling maids, raping, indoor pollutions; corruption and drug addiction are mammoth constraints as mixed with our blood and bone. Drug craving and Alcoholism are the causes of social disorder for which a society remains congested from all sorts of progression. In case of personage prospect, drug obsession is atrocious work, which mingles many other fatalities like cancer, coronary, and phthisis. Drug addict is such phenomena with which a person fails to accomplish his bright lot, being laden with superstitious and mentally being disrobed, he becomes then unable to get rid of such bottleneck. Drug addiction is not only bad habits but also an evil force that spoils the men's life. There is no suspicion that the young people are found more to be captivated as compared to other evil forces that tremendously affect people to go astray and miscarriage. They are somehow subjective to take drugs like heroine, chorus, phencidel, wine cigarettes, alcohol and many other addicted materials very harmful for health and hygiene. When a person somehow leaves hope of life, in due course he thinks that drug addiction is only the way for which he can survive on earth and as such in the next course, he takes drugs after drugs and become addicted. When in one time, he becomes obsessive; he cannot give up those addictions because he remains in the state of hallucinations and emotionally distortions. Hence Alcoholics do not drink simply for pleasure, but because they presume that they cannot face life's problems ingrained in blood and bone without alcohol. It is a significant fact that more road mishap results from unwieldy ingestion than from any other cause. This is due to the fact that alcohol slows down reflexes, interferes with concentration and distance judgment, and increases recklessness. It is a fact that heavy drinking can cause cancer of the mouth, gullet, stomach, and liver. It upsets the digestion and reduces blood cell formation, causing anemia.
Suffice it to say that alcohol causes shrinkage of the brain, reducing the powers of abstract reasoning, and it destroys liver cells causing this organ to store abnormally large amounts of fat. In severe cases, alcoholics suffer numbness and paralysis of the limbs. Some alcoholics suffer a disorder known as delirium tremens when forced to stop drinking and besides this, vomiting occurs and the whole body begins to shake and in due course, it is followed by hideous and often ghastly visions. A drug can be defined as a chemical material that affects the mind and only the so-called hard drugs are irresistible. These include the opiates: opium, morphine, and heroine. A drug addict comes to depend upon a drug so that life is no longer bearable without it. Addiction occurs because, like alcohol, more and more of the drug is required to produce its desired effects. Furthermore, if the drug supply is out of the blue cut off an addict suffers withdrawal symptoms and these can be drastically lethal. That is to say, they become dependant upon alcohol without realizing it and as such for the first time, pleasing effects are produced by one or two drinks, but soon larger and larger amounts are needed to yield these effects, until self control is unduly irrevocable. Morphine, heroine, and other drugs that are often injected involve the risk of infection from dirt hypodermic needles.
Suffice it to say; in most places of the world, without corruption and malpractices, nothing is possible to be performed. Due to lack of honesty, sincerity and simplicity, the world has become unsuitable for living. Terrorism is another threat against healthy life in society. We need to be dedicated to work sincerely and painstakingly to eliminate such hurdles. Besides this, price hike is a great bottleneck against peaceful survival on earth because; the prices of all sorts of commodities are beyond the buying capacity of the people. In Bangladesh, floods, draught, cyclone, earthquake and epidemic diseases are the common visitors to the people of this beautiful land with ever green beauties of nature. The people living beside the sea shore always face misfortunes of water surge and thus they are being victimized almost every year; even if, in a year, they may be infected with such misfortunes. Besides sides, due to smoking and addictions of drugs, unlimited problems are being created every times for which the whole nation wants to get rid of from such hurdles. There exists a remarkable extent of evidences that a variety of awful diseases emerge often in smokers than non-smokers and these diseases are: Lung cancer; emphysema causing thinning and weakening of lung tissue; cancer of the mouth, throat, larynx, gullet, bladder, and pancreas; coronary thrombosis causing snarl-up of arteries to the heart; angina pectorals causing pain due to contraction of arteries to the heart; and chronic bronchitis with phlegm.
In view of the above it is significant that it is worth mentioning that the present world is the most dangerous place as it is full of hatred, jealousy, slothful, vindictiveness and competition of ill money which never support the features of a healthy society. Hence it is obvious that smoking has been unenthusiastic every times and as such, even in general advertisement to sell their product, the work of publication of product's brand name and packaging system to indicate the quality of the product has been banned. Not only smoking, every kind of evils need to be banished from this world to present the modern age a healthy society bedded on trustworthy, love, friendship and responsibility to serve the humanity in this hereinafter virtually.

Islam has become a household word in the west today, yet not much is known about the beliefs of this great monotheistic world religion. In fact, it is the most misunderstood and often slandered religion in the world today. Unfortunately, the ones who bear the most responsibility for this sad state are the Muslims themselves, or at least people claiming to do things in the name of Islam which may or may not be "Islamic." Let's all do our part to speak up for Islam and not let these few people with their own political agendas continue to spread a false image of Muslims and Islam.
I think that the most compelling evidence for the truth of what Islam teaches is not going to be what this or that scholar says, but what the Qur'an and Hadith say regarding terrorism and war. The Qur'an is the primary source for Islam, it is the literal word of God as revealed to the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and has never had a single letter of the original Arabic script changed. The Hadith are the words of the prophet (PBUH) who is a human being. His words are inspired by God but the choices of words are his own. The hadith are the secondary source for Islam.
So, let's look at the definition of terrorism: The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons. I think it's important to note that terrorism is a heinous crime that has permeated our societies since the beginning of time. It is in no way an Islamic phenomenon although it is portrayed as such by the media today.
The people and property that terrorists target are almost always civilian. What does Islam say in regards to attacking civilians and their property? First, let's look at a beautiful verse from the Qur'an, [Qur'an 5:32] "...anyone who murders any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he murdered all the people. And anyone who spares a life, it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people. ..." Definitely the civilians who are randomly targeted by terrorists are killed unjustly according to the Qur'an itself. And, as for these terrorists who target innocent civilians, it's as if they are killing all of humanity, and they will have to answer to God for that on the Day of Judgment.
The Qur'an teaches that life is sacred; it states this in many passages in both direct and indirect ways. Life is a gift from God that only He can give and take. I will only quote one such verse due to the limitations of this short article. [Qur'an 6:151] "....You shall not kill - God has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. These are His commandments to you, that you may understand."
In fact, we find that the Qur'an is quite explicit that we should be peaceful with those who are peaceful with us. [Quran 8:61] "If they resort to peace, so shall you, and put your trust in God. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient." And again, [Qur'an 4:90] ".... Therefore, if they leave you alone, refrain from fighting you, and offer you peace, then God gives you no excuse to fight them." So, we can plainly see from these texts that it is not permissible for an individual to unilaterally decide to attack innocent civilians who pose no threat to themselves, their families or their property.
Islam is a comprehensive religion that covers all aspects of human life, including war. However, there are very strict rules of warfare and distinct lines drawn between combatants and civilians. The prophet (PBUH) is recorded as saying, "Do not kill any old person, any child or any woman" (Abu Dawud). "Do not kill the monks in monasteries" or "Do not kill the people who are sitting in places of worship" (Musnad of Ibn Hanbal).
Furthermore, the first caliph Abu Bakr was the prophet's closest friend and staunchest supporter. He gave the following advice to the leader of an army unit that was heading to Syria, and his advice was based on his knowledge of what the prophet (PBUH) taught: "Stop, O people, that I may give you ten rules for your guidance in the battlefield. Do not commit treachery or deviate from the right path. You must not mutilate dead bodies. Neither kill a child, nor a woman, nor an aged man. Bring no harm to the trees, nor burn them with fire, especially those which are fruitful. Slay not any of the enemy's flock, save for your food. You are likely to pass by people who have devoted their lives to monastic services; leave them alone."
Not only are Muslims clearly instructed not to harm any innocent individuals, we are also clearly instructed not to harm the infrastructure and economy of any land. Clearly this is in stark contrast to the acts of the terrorists who purposely target the civilians and the economics of a country.
The last point that I would like to make is that Islam is clearly against suicide and hence suicide bombing. There are some Muslim scholars who use the example of battles where the army vowed to fight to their death as evidence that suicide bombings are allowed. However, that is a highly debatable point and I personally feel that we should look to the Qur'an for the answer rather than individual's decrees. So, let's see what the Qur'an has to say about suicide. [Qur'an 4:29-31] O you who believe! Do not eat up your wealth in vanities among yourselves. But let there be among yourselves trade conducted in mutual good will. Nor kill or destroy yourselves, for God has been most merciful to you. If any do that in rancor and injustice, soon shall we cast them into the fire, and that is easy for God. If you but avoid the most heinous of the things which are forbidden to do, we shall expel out of you all the evil in you and admit you to a gate of great honor.
So, when we look at the Qur'an and Hadith we see that terrorism is clearly forbidden in Islam. People who hijack airplanes and crash them into buildings are not martyrs in Islam, they are people who are hijacking our religion and killing many innocent people. That is not the way of Islam; Islam is fair and protects the lives and properties of innocent people. Just because somebody does something in the name of Islam doesn't mean that the person is a Muslim or the act is Islamic. Please read the Qur'an so that you can find the truth for yourself.

The recent terrorist attacks in Mumbai seem to have shaken not only India but the entire world. These acts of terrorism demonstrated that even a handful of people who decide to lay down their life can shake a country which has one of the biggest and mightiest army and police in the world.
Yet the instance was not the first of its kind. Just few years back, terrorists attacked USA on 9/11 and killed thousands of people. Thereafter, the war on terrorism was launched by Western powers lead by USA against the countries believed by them behind the attack. No one knows how many people had been killed by the western forces to revenge the death of their innocent people. Many of us are perhaps not even interested as we treat the terrorists as our enemy whose lives matters little for them who are the victim of terrorism.
Yet, before claiming that terrorism is the biggest threat or the biggest killer today, it would be interesting to glance through the statistics published recently in an article "Lightening kills more than terror" in The Times of India, (New Delhi edition) on December 17, 2008. The article provides the statistics of the unnatural deaths in India (per day) in 2007. There are 934 people dying every day due to natural deaths which includes
-Suicides - 336
-Road Accidents - 314
-Drowning - 74
-Falls - 29
-Lightening Strikes - 8
-TERROR VIOLENCE 2
If we add the number of people dying every day in India due to medical illness, poverty, hunger, cold etc i.e. due to man made causes, the number of unnatural deaths may be many thousands times that of the numbers of people dying due to terror.
Thus logically, terror may not be the biggest killer of people even in the countries affected by terrorism. Yet it shakes the humanity due to the inhuman way, a terrorist kills the innocent people.
The act of terrorism also shakes the faith of an ordinary human being in God as he wonders, what is He doing when innocent people are being killed? Even the people, who have deep faith in God, fail to explain such acts spiritually.
Terrorism, having seed in the hatred, creates tremendous hatred in the world. People just can not adjust with the idea of love and compassion against the terrorists. How many of us are willing to even listen to the sermon like "Love your enemy" or "offering the other cheek, if someone slaps you". "An eye for an eye" seems to be the only solution of the problem of terrorism.
Is it so?
The Wisdom of God
We all know that when we are angry, the first casualty is our capacity to think, logic and reason. Anger, like a fire, burns the body and soul of the person and it must not be allowed to engulf us for a very long period. We have to find solution of terrorism by understanding it rather than hating it.
The first requirement for any understanding in man is to have faith in God and Man. If He is Supreme, nothing can happen in this world without his direction and wish.
Why must God allow terrorism to happen?
Why should the innocent human beings be killed by terrorists?
Terrorism is an attack on the society and not on the individual. Any one who would be coming in the range of the gun would be killed on that day.
Are We Not Sowing Hatred and Injustice?
All scriptures universally endorse that you have to reap what you sow. Yet, most of us expect to reap good while sowing evil in this world.
There are numerous studies that have proven the harmful effect of smoking, alcoholism, drugs, fatty food, sexual indulgences and its role in causing dreaded diseases like Cancer, Heart Attack or AIDS. In India, for example, it is written on every packet of cigarette that smoking causes cancer. Yet, people do such acts every day thinking that they would not suffer from it.
Yet when it is pay out time, they curse advertiser, manufactures, drug traffickers and even God for their ply.
There is no limit to the hatred and injustice that is perpetuated by the mankind in this world.
Millions of innocent birds are killed even before the first man gets infected from Bird Flue. Millions of innocent Kangaroos are killed to protect man in a country. Just a few days back, an Honorable Judge of High Court in India ordered to kill all stray dogs in the State of Maharashtra.
We are killing millions of innocent animals, birds and fishes everyday to feed just one specie of the earth known as man.
Man has acquired virtually all lands and forests and water bodies of the earth for its sole use as if Lord has created only for man for Earth.
Yet man found nothing wrong in such inhuman acts until the mightier and greedier of the men decided to kill other men for conquering the Earth to satisfy their greed. Millions of people were killed in the wars to satisfy one person's quest of power in last century. Yet none asked question as there was always a cause for such action which was logical and reasonable at least to the people who thought they can win the war.
Yet, when we are on the receiving end we call it injustice and cruelty.
Can Might Be Always Right?
Even though man has evolved from animal, yet they prefer working by the law of jungle i.e. "Might is Right". Even the scientific community accepted this universal law of jungle by calling evolution of life as "Survival of the fittest."
There is no doubt that the Western world today is so powerful that they can destroy the rest of the world perhaps in a matter of days. There are thousands of unused nuclear weapons and missiles which can send any country into the Stone Age. Hence, in their exalted sense of power and security, they often think that what they know is right and what they do is right. While no one has the right to judge their "rights", they can judge everyone's right.
Jesus Christ said in Bible, "Do not judge so that you will not be judged".
The reason why we must not judge others that all judgments are based on a particular perspective and based on the relative truth that changes with time. The history has demonstrated in countless times that no principle is sacrosanct and nothing is in fallible. Therefore, judging others from one's own perspective always lead to wrong judgment.
Even the first principle of natural justice says that nobody would be judge in his own cause.
Scriptures: The Path to Happiness
As per one survey conducted by Newsweek, more than 91% people in USA still believes in God and only 3% call themselves atheists. This is simply amazing as even after five centuries of the scientific knowledge and technological developments, people are convinced that only scriptures can guide them in the path of happiness and peace.
Yet it is surprising that we violate virtually every law of scriptures while claiming ourselves to be Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist or Jew.
Some of the universal principles of scriptures can be summarized as following
1. God is one (Do not fight in the name of God).
2. God is present in all beings (Show compassion to all lives).
3. Love all people and feel compassion for all living being (Do not hate).
4. Do not accumulate wealth (Do not live for bread alone)
5. Do not seek power (Serve instead of ruling others).
6. Respect your parents and elders (Have gratitude to parents) .
7. Shun violence (Respect Other's Views).
8. Speak Truth (Do not Speak Falsehood).
9. Be faithful (Do not commit adultery).
10. Deal with people in a way you would like to others to deal you.
Yet, one can easily see that the modern societies are evolved on just the converse principles, though based on the same laws. These facts are demonstrated from the following
o People do not believe in the God of others. The result is that God is used as the main justification for wars
o People see God in themselves while see Devil in others (enemy)
o We are compassionate only for people of our family, country, race or religion
o There are few people in this world, who have billions in their account, while there are billions who do not even have one dollar. They sleeps in footpath, remain hungry for days, die due to cold and heat and by simple illness
o Society is hierarchical and everyone is subordinate to someone. The head of some nations are so powerful that they can kill millions at their wish
o Parents are discarded by their children at old age when they fetch no return
o Violence is the most desired solution for the rich and powerful for solving all problems. Nonviolence is for the weak and poor.
o Truth is rare or fallacy the rule
o Adultery is a rule and Faithfulness is an exception
o Different treatment for different people even within the same religion, state or status
The Root of Terrorism
The values preached in scriptures are not merely theories but contains in it the universal laws of peaceful and loving existence. Religions, though developed in different countries under different prophets in different times, contain the same truth.
One can break these laws for the immediate material benefits or instant gratifications, yet he loses peace and happiness in the process.
Terrorism is just a symptom of the ill of the society like theft, murder, rape or any other crime. Terrorism, however, makes great news as it is fought against the most powerful organ of the modern civilization i.e. State.
Terrorism is a weapon of the weak who can not fight the might of the State power. Hence the weak demonstrate their power by killing the citizens of the powerful enemy.
When a journalist, threw shoes at George Bush, The President of America, the most powerful person of the world, recently at Baghdad he became a hero overnight. The entire Arab world rejoiced at this incident. A man even offered 10 million dollars for the shoe.
Terrorism or other crimes can be eliminated from this world only if the humanity is able to rise above greed, inequality, injustice that is perpetrated by the modern world against the weak and poor people.
This is a difficult solution as the very foundation of modern life is based on the principles of the survival of the fittest. Let the weak perish from this world as they have no right to survive in the world that is based on competition and not compassion.
World As Family
The only way to avoid the symptom of a disease is to eliminate the cause of the symptom. The root of all crimes, particularly terrorism lies in the basic philosophy of materialistic life that defies all tenets of scriptures and spirituality. Only when the modern world can visualize the whole world as one family, such problems can be solved. Are we ready to live like a family and share our fortunes and power with all humanity? In answer to this question lies the solution of terrorism.

Those of us hundreds of miles from ground zero sat glued to our television sets with horror and disbelief as two of the tallest buildings in the world slowly disintegrated in a violence of dust and death.
Since that bright September morning in 2001, none of us have felt the same. Undergoing an unexpected and brutal national rape, we shuddered at our own vulnerability and defenselessness.
In grief, anger, and frustration, we gathered our tattered dignity around us and vowed repeatedly that it would never happen again. Next time, we would be ready, we would defend ourselves, we would regain our sense of power and invulnerability. We set out resolutely on the journey to make our world safe again.
Security was tightened at airports, border crossings, ports, bridges, and nuclear generating stations. Laws were passed to abridge civil liberties to better fight those out to hurt the United States. Action was implemented in Afghanistan to find the terrorist cells and overthrow their political supporters. The long-standing conventions of war prisoner treatment were abrogated in the name of national security. Iraq was invaded in a preemptive strike to limit the likelihood of future attacks on American soil.
Where has the yearning for security led us?
We have become the enemy. In the hazy logic of the Patriot Act or ethnic profiling at airports and borders, and the specious arguments supporting the treatment protocols at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay, America has bought into the mindset of terrorism.
When individuals are kidnapped, psychologically or physically abused, threatened with pain, rape, torture, or death, they become terrified shells of their former selves. Often, they start to identify with their captors, their wills bent to the twisted but all-powerful logic of their oppressors. The prisoner becomes the kapo and exhibits more brutality than his superiors. This is the true price of terrorism: the response it elicits from its victims.
Since all of us are direct or indirect victims of 911, we all need to guard against the mindset we have assumed. We must ask ourselves about our priorities. Is improved safety worth the price of voiding our civil rights? Is the defense against terror worth the abdication of our humanitarian and ethical ideals? Shall we descend to the degradation and torture of our enemies in order to defend our "superior" way of life?
The United States has always, no matter how misguided or hated its temporary policies may have periodically been, stood as a beacon of freedom and fairness in a world too often enslaved and unjust. It is this beacon, this ideal, this dream that millions of American soldiers, through multiple wars over more than 200 years, have fought and died for. It is too precious to be obliterated by a suicide bomb or hijacked airplanes flying into buildings. It will flicker and die only when the values it represents no longer exist.
It has been imperiled before: in the sacking of Washington, the internal convulsions of the Civil War, the formalized institution of slavery, the destruction of Native American cultures, the seizure of Panama, the machinations of McCarthyism, the dropping of the atomic bomb. Somehow, lady liberty was able to dust herself off and recapture the inspiration and vision she represents to the world.
Now she faces her biggest challenge yet: surviving intact in a prevailing climate of fear. There have been wars before where too many young men died before their time. This time, the disturbed sleep of the watchful, wary soldier in his bivouac has moved into the bedroom of suburbia. We no longer feel safe, agonizing over the vulnerability of our children and loved ones. We watch the danger alerts turn different colors and know that sometime, somewhere, another strike will come.
The long heritage of openness, personal liberties, restraint, innocence until guilt is proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, and the willingness to defend those rights to the death, has dissolved into the murk of security above freedom, life above ideals, and apathy above involvement. We invade each other's privacy as a mechanism of defense. We abuse and humiliate our prisoners in the name of preventing their future abuse and humiliation of us. We expand our "no fly" lists to close that traditionally-open golden door. We shut down our borders lest a terrorist lurks among the tired, poor masses.
A post-911-world will never be as innocent as before, no more than the permanent changes wrought by the assassination of President Kennedy or the bombing of Pearl Harbor could be avoided. Reaction to tragic, horrifying events is inevitable, both personally and politically. It is when that reaction becomes the basis for major decisions and colors how laws are interpreted, ethics are enforced, and relationships are developed that we must step back and look at our deep-rooted principles and identify where they have become warped and withered.
It is when we look at the world through the eyes of those who hate and threaten us that we see the true power of terrorism: not to destroy us but to assimilate us. That is when the terrorists will know that they have truly won.

Violence is an unjust and unwarranted exertion of power or force against someone else's rights or laws. This aggressive, criminal behavior intentionally causes injury to people, other living beings, and property. WHO (World health Organization) defines violence as "the intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual, against oneself, another person or against a group or community that either results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, maldevelopment or deprivation."
Violence shows its repulsive face in a variety of forms: assault, murder, assault and battery, massacre, cruelty to animals, domestic violence, property damage, rape, libel, slander, armed robbery, terrorism, war, genocide, illegal occupation of another group's property or land, etc.
What pushes people, groups, or nations into atrocities and causes them to take up arms against others? In Federalist Papers, John Jay says: "The just causes of war, for the most part, arise either from violation of treaties or from direct violence." I, therefore, humbly ask the question, "Isn't the violation of a treaty an act of violence by itself?"
Violence becomes a possibility when human beings turn naturally or environmentally aggressive, as aggression can be learned in a society through modeling and imitation with the belief that aggression gets results no matter what kinds of frustrations a populace suffers in the process. This belief grants people excuses for being aggressive and dupes them into harboring destructive expectations and false assumptions against the other side.
Antisocial behavior almost always has an early onset and often persists into adolescence and adulthood; therefore, it becomes a developmental trait and an inability to absorb civilized tasks. According to the behavioral sciences, the potential to violence exists in the development of antisocial, aggressive behavior. The psychologist J. W. Prescott, while studying human societies, thought that the lack of mother-child bonding caused violence and excess punishment of children through their developmental years gave rise to violent societies.
Also, many studies have shown that childhood malnutrition is linked to poor brain functioning and conduct disorder in early adulthood. In addition, prisoners given omega-3 fish oil--critical for brain structure and function--have exhibited reduced aggressive and antisocial behavior.
That means we need to venture, through scientific method, into further research into the world's societies and find honest and more comprehensive solutions for our biological, behavioral, and environmental problems to prevent aggression in children; so in time, they do not turn into criminals and terrorists. If stopping violent behavior is the aim, the best investment the world can make is to intervene very early on. There is proof that, under the positive conditions and with correct training, people are usually kinder to each other; however, as it is, the world events show that we may be losing our fight against violence.
As much as nations argue that "their war" has a "just cause," wars are the worst kinds of violence because of the incredible damage they cause to the younger generations by becoming models to emulate. If the international nonviolence idea suffers, no war can be deemed holy or just.
Modern warfare has become lethal to everyone, since those with faulty brains and incorrect upbringing do not hesitate to terrorize the world as different societies apply different standards to sanctioning their kinds of violence. Violence in certain forms and degrees may be socially and legally accepted in one society while the same acts are considered crimes in another group. I see no reason, however, why the world cannot live by the same key laws pertaining to human give and take, despite the differences of beliefs and nationalities.
It is true that, for a few years now, we have the International Criminal Court; however, any court, to gain the respect of the international community, must be able to prosecute--without any exceptions--any one person, group, or nation who is suspected of committing a crime against humanity.
Another point is, the power of any decision making institution depends on its being perceived as fair and impartial. That can only happen in a society where social injustices are eliminated. John Paul Sartre coined the phrase "inert violence" for social injustice. Thus, how can any institution be fair and impartial when social injustices exist in the world?
In the long run, violence is always a deviant behavior. No matter what the scale, we must wage our real wars against violence itself, if we want to exist peacefully on the same planet.

In a major breakthrough India and Pakistan in a significant meeting at Havana, on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Summit, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf decided to put in place an institutional mechanism to counter terrorism. It is a historic opportunity for India and Pakistan to solve this crucial issue of Terrorism and crush its terror network after agreeing on the establishment of a Anti -Terrorism Institutional Network.
At the end of the one-on-one talks without aides which were described as "cordial, frank and detailed". Both the countries agreed on this anti-terrorism institutional mechanism to identify and implement counter-terrorism initiatives and investigations, this was declared in the joint statement read out by Dr. Singh along with General Musharraf at a media press conference.
The statement strongly condemned the Mumbai and the Maligaon bomb blasts and issued a strong statement against Terrorism by declaring " Both the countries strongly condemned all acts of terrorism and agreed that terrorism is a scourge that needs to be effectively dealt with."
Such a direct and candid admission by Pakistan that Trans-border terror networks should not only be identified but also needs to be crushed with heavy hand is a direct admission by Pakistan that all is not well within its territory and the terror networks which operates from across the border against India has to be crushed jointly. This is a significant development as for the first time Pakistan has accepted that for solving all the issues of concern with India it has to do much more on the area of Terrorism and to do this it needs the helping hand of India.
Further it was also agreed upon for the immediate resumption of the composite dialogue between the Foreign Secretaries "at the earliest". With a direct acknowledge that the peace process must be maintained and its success was not only important for both the countries by also for a bright and prosperous future of the entire South Asian Region.
Under the Press Statement issued both the leaders reiterated their commitments and determination to implement the Joint Statements of January 6, 2004, September 24, 2004, April 18, 2005 and September 14, 2005 which was signed between India and Pakistan then. The commitment given by the honorable President of Pakistan in the joint statement issued of honoring the earlier joint statements of 2004 and 2005 shows that Pakistan has accepted these to be international agreements against terror which needs to be honored upon
On Jammu and Kashmir it was decided by both the countries to continue the "joint search for mutually acceptable options for a peaceful negotiated settlement of all issues between India and Pakistan, including the issue of Jammu and Kashmir, in a sincere and purposeful manner." Referring to the "useful discussions" on Jammu and Kashmir, the joint statement went on to say "there is a need to build on convergence's and narrow down divergences." This is again a very significant and healthy development as for the first time Pakistan has accepted that Jammu and Kashmir is not "The Issue" or "The Core Issue" but one of the very important issue which not only needs urgent attention but also needs to be solved taking into account each others concerns and sentiments. This is a U-turn by Pakistan from its earlier stated position of Kashmir being the core issue.
In his address to the NAM Summit on Sept 15th 2006, Gen. Musharraf said in relation to India and Pakistan's bilateral issues, "A historic opportunity exists that must be seized by the leadership of the two countries to bring to a close the chapter of tensions and conflict in our region.. It is of paramount importance that we devote all energies to address the major challenges of our region by ensuring poverty alleviation, universal education, better health and higher standards of living for our people. Three years of peace process between India and Pakistan had led to confidence building and improved environment in bilateral relations. Pakistan is making sincere efforts to promote peace and cooperation in South Asia.. We are determined to pursue the peace process to resolve all outstanding issues with India, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute." Dr. Singh also accepted Gen. Musharraf's renewed invitation to visit Pakistan at a time to be fixed later.
Through the press statement the two leaders directed the Foreign Secretaries on the following: The Foreign Secretaries should meet shortly in New Delhi to continue the composite dialogue. To arrange consultations for early solution of the Siachen issue. "Experts should meet immediately to agree on coordinates for joint survey of Sir Creek and adjoining area, without prejudice to each other's position on the issue". The Survey should commence in November 2006. "The experts would start discussions on the maritime boundary". "The two sides will facilitate implementation of agreements and understandings already reached on LoC-related CBMs, including bus services, crossing points and truck service".
Direct acknowledgement by Pakistan on the coordinates of a joint survey of the Sir Creek areas taking into account each countries position on the issue is significant again as for the first time Pakistan has accepted to take into account the Indian position on the Sir Creek issue
The carefully formulated joint statement that was worked out after hours of discussions among the members of the delegation, including the National Security Adviser M. K. Narayanan and the Foreign Secretary-designate Shivshankar Menon from the Indian side. Pakistan's Secretary of the National Security Council Tariq Aziz, Foreign Minister Kasuri and Foreign Secretary Riaz Khan was there from the Pakistani side.
When asked by the Indian media whether the new agreement represented a breakthrough, Gen. Musharraf said, "Yes, it is very good." He was quite happy over the outcome. He however refused to be drawn into a detailed discussion, pointing out that he had committed himself to not saying anything more than what the statement said, lest it should hamper the dialogue process.
Before the one to one meeting of the two leaders, both the sides were accompanied by their delegations for a brief interaction. The Indian delegation included Mr. Narayanan, Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma, Mr. Shivshankar Menon and Media Adviser to the Prime Minister Sanjaya Baru. The Pakistani side included Mr. Kasuri, Mr. Riaz Khan, and Minister of State Sumaira Malik.
Indian officials later expressed satisfaction over the outcome of the meeting, noting that " All the major issues, including the formulation on terrorism were being negotiated till the very last. The reference to terrorism and the constitution of a joint mechanism to counter it were in tune with the Prime Minister's stand that he can carry Indian public opinion with him only if there were credible assurances on terrorism". At the same time, the resumption of the Foreign Secretary-level dialogue, addressing the issues of Jammu and Kashmir, Siachen and Sir Creek satisfied the Pakistani side.
Earlier President of Pakistan General Musharraf called upon NAM Members to focus on just and equitable solutions to international conflicts and disputes by establishing a mechanism for the purpose. He urged NAM to promote a comprehensive strategy to combat terrorism."NAM should promote a comprehensive strategy to combat and eliminate terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It should require a two-pronged approach: first combating terrorist sanctuaries, including through active international cooperation, [and] secondly addressing the underlined cause of terrorism and extremism, which includes political disputes and conflicts, economic and social injustices".
In his address to the NAM Summit Dr Singh said: ``If NAM is to be relevant in today's circumstances, it cannot afford to equivocate on the subject of terrorism. A message must emanate from us that we are united in our desire to fight and eliminate the scourge of terrorism,'' He further said: "The forces of intolerance and extremism could not be allowed to distract the world's attention from the vital concerns such as poverty, ignorance and disease".
What has been the most significant outcome of the NAM Summit has been the sidelines meeting between India and Pakistan just after the serial bomb blasts and terror attacks in various parts of India in which many innocent lives were lost. This had vitiated the Indo-Pak atmosphere and it was very important to carry forward the Peace dialog process ahead at the earliest. Nothing was more better then the significant meetings between the two heads of states and for the first time Pakistan has taken significant and bold stand on the various issues which can be termed as watershed in Indo-Pak diplomacy. India on her part has also shown flexibility on the various issues including Kashmir. If things go ahead in the right direction from now on it can be a turning point in Indo-Pak history. One can hope for a new dawn in South Asia .A dawn of peace and prosperity for the whole region.

As we sit glued to the television set listening to all the gory details of yet another terrorist attack leaves us all in a state of shock. We all feel sad. We all feel that enough is enough. We all listen to how much the death toll is rising into the hundreds. We all wait in anticipation to hear of any survivors, then after a few days. We all forget
I recall years ago when the seat belt was introduced and how it was drummed into us each and every day, clunk click every trip. The nation was brainwashed into abiding by the new law imposed that was to save so many lives. Well I say make a stand and bring back brainwashing in the form of terrorist awareness, it may cause a lot of paranoia amongst a great many but it may also save a lot of misery suffering pain and most importantly lives.
Terrorists are like actors where they are well rehearsed in their role to kill. Drama classes pay off for terrorists in their preparation for slaughter.
A Massacre murderer is well trained to keep his or her composure and not to look suspicious. The question is how we can help the system in the fight against terrorism.
What signs do we have to look for to sniff out a walking time bomb, especially when these murderers have re enacted the role over and over again in portraying the look of innocence?
I am not sure if there are any signs to look out for where a professional is concerned, but we can help by being more observant
This can be done by being more aware of how serious terrorism really is, the next time you go shopping or take the tube to work or when taking the kiddies to school, watch what the person next to you is doing
If traveling on a bus even high in the sky make a little note of what your fellow passenger is wearing. Make an image diary in your head of what they look like, note little tell tale signs as in i.e. tattoos scars jewelry whatever. Take in enough information on that person so that should any circumstances arise on that day where police are involved and are looking for information, you may hold the key to conviction.
But remember not all suspicious looking characters are guilty and there are times you may well get paranoid by the person next to you. Do not panic keep calm then go and speak with someone if you feel there is need for concern.
I know this approach can cause paranoia among a lot of people but it also may save lives. CCTV can not do all the work alone.

The first of May brought celebration in many streets of America. The man who celebrated the deaths of almost 3000 people back on September 11, of the year 2000, was dead. Osama Bin Laden was killed. Killed by American soldiers about a week before the announcement was made, in Pakistan, living in a house, not a cave, as many of his tapes and pictures showed.
The news that many Americans and others have been waiting for such a long long time has come. Osama Bin Laden has been killed by US forces.
How ironic, that people were filling streets in many US cities, celebrating Bin Laden's death, just as he, his partners in crime, and many radical Muslims celebrated back on 9/11.
Lots of questions need to be answered. How did Bin Laden, who was living in a house, right under the noses of the Pakistani government, be there without the Pakistani governments knowledge? Were they working and helping the American forces? It is still to early to know.
Will this change anything on the war on terrorism? Will this be the cutting off the head of the terror monster that has been terrorizing and killing people around the world?
This will not stop any of the terrorism that continues to be happening around the world. The ugly little monsters of terror are still out there and they may try to step up some of their plots, but this is definitely going to slow down some of their stamina and resolve.
Al Qaeda has spawned off into other little monsters around the world and this war is not over, but it certainly has been hurt, not so much in the fact that Bin Laden is dead, but in the fact that the emotional and spiritual head of this movement, has been cut off.
One extremely important note to add here is that, this could not have come at a better time, when civil unrest and rioting in the streets of many Muslin cities and countries around the world against these leaders. Muslim people around the world, want change, and it is only as they stand up against these radical leaders and supporters of this ideology, that masks itself as true Islam, that any true peace and freedom, to the world and to the Muslim people, will ever occur.
It has been ten years since any attack has been executed on America, and now with the head of Al Qaeda being cut off, it might just be the beginning to an end of an era of hate and killing, by a group of individuals, that don't represent Islam, nor Muslims. In fact they killed more Muslims than they killed any infidels.
So what happens now? Do we ease up on our fight against terrorism? Do we go out after all of the other leaders, the other little Bin Ladens, that are still out there?
I think we keep the fight and maybe even turn the heat up. Attack them while they are reeling back a little on their heels, and finish the job that Bin Laden started when he declared war on the US.

America is now entering the tenth year of the war in Afghanistan. Yet a decade of fighting hardly gets the news coverage or interests the average Americans as we try to recover from the financial whole we have dug even though the war is a substantial drain on the US Treasury. The toll in American lives is relatively low, but we suffered the most casualties of the ten-year conflict in 2010.
With the number of US troops deployed to the region reaching 100,000+, it may be time to rethink the strategy for the entire operation. A commitment has been made to support the shaky government of Afghanistan until 2014. Of course, the overwhelming majority of the forces in the region are troops from the United States.
When the war began, small numbers of specialized troops were involved. The war that started in Iraq grabbed most of the headlines and required most of the assets. Iraq became a political football, not unlike Vietnam; but many of those opposing our presence in the Middle-East called Afghanistan the "good war."
According to a December 2010 Rasmussen Poll, 44% of likely voters follow the war closely, among those 65+ this percentage rises to 51%. Only 34% of likely voters have confidence we can win the war in Afghanistan, which falls to 24% with New Seniors. Asked if the war has been worth the cost, the total of all respondents saying, "yes" was 28% and just 18% with those 65+.
Then, why do we stay in Afghanistan when the war is costly and unpopular? Could it be the fact that nearly three out of four Americans, across all demographic groups, fear a terrorist attack more than a nuclear attack? Does this mean we prefer to keep the fight overseas as a way to protect us at home? If so, why are we pulling out of the country on a specific date rather than trying to win the war? Or, are voters so focused on the financial situation at home we are willing to let the government do what it deems best?
The country has come a long way from WWII. Or have we? Back then those on the frontlines were in sync with support troops along with the folks at home. Everyone had a family member, a friend or a neighbor in the service and we did our part through defense work, rationing and War Bonds. The country was truly united. And, after the victories in Europe and the Pacific, all Americans benefited by the nationwide peace dividend.
We didn't care much for the Vietnam War and took out this dissatisfaction on our troops when they returned home. The first Gulf War saw a shift in attitude in the way we reacted to our service men and women. We praised them if not the war. The same is true with Iraq and probably will continue throughout the Afghanistan War.
Most of us are too far removed from the all-volunteer military to feel as if we have a stake in the nation's longest running war. In the meantime, the government continues to print money to fund a war we probably cannot win.

We won World War II because of our industrial might and strong, well-equipped armed forces plus the recently developed atomic bomb. Out terms for surrender were unconditional.
The key forces helping us to defeat Germany were England, Canada, and the Soviet Union. The key forces helping us to defeat Japan were Australia, England, and the atomic bomb. There were other players too amongst our allies.
World War II was a territorial war. When we took the disputed territories we won the war. When the strong central governments of Germany and Japan surrendered, the war was over.
Territory and government are not factors in the current crusade other than that some governments support the terrorist but are not considered to be terrorist themselves.
President Bush in his State of the Union message called certain nations the "axis of evil." These nations, including North Korea and Iran, support terrorist groups. The fact of the matter is that "axis of evil" countries are terrorist groups. Because we fail to see this we can not defeat them.
North Korea is extremely strong. When I was fighting in Korea in 1951 and 1952, our outfit was fighting the Chinese, not the North Koreans. But North Korea is much stronger now and could beat South Korea in a military engagement and endanger Japan to boot. That is one pot we do not want to boil so we lose the battle by our own fears.
Iran is a formidable force too. They battled Iraq with some competence and any confrontation with Iran would spread into Iraq on a grand scale. Also, some of the other Arab countries might join in the affair on a more formal basis.
Iran is developing nuclear weapons but we sit on our hands.
Unlike Israel, which bombed Iraq nuclear sites, we stand back and hope that the United Nations will resolve the problem.
I wonder how long Israel will wait before they bomb Iran nuclear sites if they think that Iran has the bomb or is close to getting it.
I'd say about five minutes.
The regretful war between Israel and Lebanese terrorist is interesting. Israel is not attacking the terrorist as much as they are attacking Lebanon's territory. Their battle plan calls for control of territory so that the terrorist can not hit Israel with their rockets. Until the United Nation has enough strength to occupy that territory, the war is still on.
The Prime Minister of Israel said they wanted to fight the Lebanese terrorist now rather than in a few years when they are stronger. While we sit on our hands, Israel takes action not worrying too much about the innocent civilians they kill nor world opinion.
The problem is that terrorist are special interest groups.
Our governmental offices are full of people who know how to deal with such groups. This usually comes in the form of cuddling them.
These special groups have powerful attorneys who force their will on governmental employees including elected officials. The terrorist (including terrorist nations) have no attorneys but we still cuddle them.
We deal with our home-grown special interest groups by talking to them. The parties go back and forth until some livable solution is achieved (even though it may be temporary) until further negotiations can be completed.
Our government, in its infinite wisdom, will not talk to terrorist groups.
Ignoring the demands or concessions desired by these groups only infuriates them further.
So far that plan of no communication has made the whole world angry.
There are no third parties trying to resolve the terrorist problem either. Certainly, there are no attorneys in Washington lobbying for the terrorist or any one of the various groups. Not even the United Nation is doing anything to communicate with Osama bin Laden and his band of murderers.
I say this:
It may not be pleasant to talk with the terrorist and to try to remove the thorn that is in their side but that is the only way we will ever resolve the problems without massive shedding of blood.
All groups must be heard.
Tell me this: Do you know why Osama bin Laden killed all those people on 9/11?
Was it because an American winked at a Muslim woman in Saudi Arabia?
Was it because we had desecrated Arab soil by walking on it?
Was it because we support Israel, providing them with the weaponry that kills Arabs?
Was it because Israel still exists?
What would it take to get the terrorist off our back?
Should we move completely out of Arab nations and send all Muslims back to where they came from?
Should we get our oil by dealing with third nations who deal with us and the Arab nations?
Should we decide that the Arab nations are the terrorist and decimate them with our nuclear power?
These are tough questions.
I think we need a forum for the terrorist to talk at the United Nations. They will not stop their horrible acts as long as they are looked down on by the world. They want to have input into world affairs. They are doing this by killing us and themselves.
Wouldn't it be better to start talking? I'm sure that some Washington law firm would get the ball rolling if they saw a tremendous amount of money in it.

Home security has been the major precedence for an individual's living. It has not only secured one's life and belongings but has also helped to fight crime and terrorism at one's hometown or nation.
Since 9 / 11, people have become prudence over their locality and are trying to improve with different means of security. One of the best means of security is to get a clear scrutiny of the area and try to make a clear note of the changes that are being done everyday.
Home security does not mean to secure ones life and property, but also to secure the nation from crime and terrorism. Since 9 / 11, the twenty-first century has seen unprecedented attacks that have stripped bare the insular mindset of an individual. One can avoid future attacks through various steps by keeping an eye on people taking pictures, notes, videos or asking odd questions of historical places or behaving suspiciously.
Other suspicious clues or acts can be, retrieving or disposing items in the water, abandoned vehicles or vessels in odd locations, small planes flying over sensitive areas, or damaged lights or fencing near perceptive areas. If an individual finds these acts performed or done in his vicinity, he should call the corps and provide them with full information. The individual must also make sure that he should provide his contact number so that if the officials have any questions they can call and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
Apart from this a new means of home security equipment has taken its place which is known as Biometrics. It is mostly used to measure living organisms, but in this case it as been developed to identify human's body parts such as palm print, fingerprint, hand geometry, face, iris and voice and to grant them access to confidential information or locations. It as been widely used in government offices, educational centers, aviation industries. They are widely used by law enforcement agencies for the verification of passports, medical records and to keep the financial database of an individual.
There are other ways to keep your home secure and safe. They are concealing of wires, because a professional burglar looks for places where he or she can disconnect the security system. There are other security systems that come in use such as using timers to switch lights and radios on and off, installing infrared detectors at the dark places. One must also ensure that before employing a professional house cleaner, the house owner must go through references and the bio-data of the cleaner or the maid.
Dogs are the most preferred animals not only as a friendly pet but also as a watchful animal. Even a small dog can be effective and the burglars hate them because even a petite noise draws the dog's attention.
By the above methods and systems a person can now ensure the safety of his self and of his surroundings and allowing him to take instant step, helping him to fight crime.

One of the biggest threats in the world is the threat to your home security. By following few basic home security rules you will be able to safeguard your family and property. A good security system is a must for every home owner.

The power of the dream messages is observed especially when someone is saved from terrorist attacks, which cannot be predicted in another way.
Many times the dreamer may have to suffer an attack in order to prevent something worse, but they have basic protection. The hell of terrorism is too obscure, and the destructive power of evilness, too strong.
All the negative energy that transforms the human being into a demon comes from the wild side of the human conscience, which is schizophrenic. This is the result of its disorganized evolution, in combination with all the difficulties and deceptions of existence and consciousness in a live creature.
The power of the dream messages, which give objective information to the dreamer about all dangers that threaten their lives, can save the human being from being murdered by terrorist attacks, even though many times he has to bear passing through bitter experiences in order to protect his life.
If you lead with terrorism, you must know that there are no rules: terror doesn't respect anything, and has the destructive power of bombs.
You need the power of dreams in order to fight against terrorism without losing your life.
I am a real example of a person who was saved from murder, since I precisely followed the guidance of the unconscious mind in my dreams when a man who was in love with me had killed my husband, while covering up his murder with a supposed heart attack. Everyone was paid to hide the truth, because he was very rich.
He could never capture me though, and he could not kill me as well. He could not possess me, because I had protection from his attacks, seeing everyday flashes of short dreams, with previsions about what would happen during the day.
This man was schizophrenic and became a maniac murderer, after his failure to capture me. But I was able to escape from all his traps, besides being able to provide him a partial schizophrenia cure through many sound messages that he was recording by spying on my apartment, over a period of 7 years.
He understood that he didn't have the right to oblige me to live with him, and that I was not responsible for his suffering.
Another example of protection from terrorism through dream messages in my own life was when I met my schizophrenic father again, after being far away from Brazil, where he lives, for 11 years.
Besides dream warnings which were showing me the gravity of his mental illness that had become worse with time and with his loneliness, since my parents got divorced when I was 14 years old, I had a strange pain in my front teeth when I visited him in his house in 1991, after being in Greece for 11 years. I had decided to live here, I got married, and then I became pregnant, so I could not travel and see my father in the meanwhile.
The pain I had in my front teeth was a signal of danger, indicating to me that I had to be very cautious with my father, because anything could irritate him too much and transform him into a violent monster.
I had dreams showing me that he was involved in the smuggling of children, who were killed, so that their organs could be sold to people that needed transplants.
I could never verify if these dreams were really revealing me the truth, but I didn't doubt that my father simply hated all children, since he had lost me, his only child, who condemned him for his absurd behavior, protecting my mother and helping her separate from him. My father had threatened her, telling her that she would never escape alive if she dared to abandon him. However, with my protection, and with the protection of the lawyer we found, he could not harm her in any way.
These examples can show you what kind of problems you have to face when you deal with terrorism, which is pure craziness, and how the translation of the meaning of your dreams can protect you, and save your life.

An executive wakes up in the morning and nothing is going right. He has slept through the alarm that normally wakes him at 6am. Frantically, he tries to get to grips with his normal routine and speeds himself along, creating more havoc than he planned. His keys, normally in the same place every day have disappeared and he can't find his briefcase. Sitting down in his dining room with his familiar paper and a coffee - he reads headlines that make him aware of the trouble around. One headline is "STOP, LOOK AND WATCH" -a warning for kids that play in the street. In the background his radio is playing a song such as "Stop in the name of love" by Diana Ross. He hears the word stop in his mind all morning and images of explosions play in his mind like a movie. It's all too much and the subtle signs around him cause him to make a decision to stay home. At 08:45 am a passenger jet crashes into the first tower in New York on September 11th 2001. Our executive has saved his own life - he worked for a bank in the tower.
Subtle signs and feelings were built up around the gentleman all morning. Being aware of them spared his life. There are examples of this throughout the United States. They show intuition can play a major role in your life. We are in crisis; everywhere we turn are signs of terror, whether it's murders happening on our front door or extremist attacks. Terror is here. Our government is forever inventing new methods to fight terrorism and weapons of terror are being used against the groups that sport them. Covert operations run daily and intelligence is buzzing like a hive of honey bees.
But perhaps we have overlooked what is right under our noses, claims the author of "Powers of the sixth sense - how to remain safe in a hostile world." The author claims that we have the ability within ourselves to reduce those risks by using our natural intuitive instincts. We have evidence of scientific studies that prove the existence of a sixth sense or of extra sensory perception. The US military and other international agencies have researched the use of 'Psychic Spying' or 'Remote Viewing' as a weapon against terror. One such operation was that of project STARGATE - the American Military studies into the use of ESP and other paranormal abilities.
The idea that we can predict disasters, possible attacks and breaches of our security may sound like a far-off idea for a Hollywood movie, but the reality is different. There is now enough evidence to prove that these abilities exist and can be used for our benefit and that of humanity in general. Perhaps the idea that intuition can play a part in our everyday lives is the first step in bringing the fight against terrorism down to an individual level, where we can all play our part. Intuition is not a far-out idea reserved for the so-called righteous or gifted. More importantly, perhaps we can encourage our children to develop their own intuitive skills, for the benefit of the next generation. They are in touch with their feelings and intuitive side from a young age. It is only social conditioning that cause them to forget their natural, intuitive natures. Intuition is innate in every one of us from birth to death, and we can use it if we will.

Jock Brocas is a professional psychic medium, author and an expert in security and martial arts. He works worldwide with his wife, demonstrating the continuance of life after death and teaching that your intuitive connection can save your life in a hostile world. He uniquely blends the gifts of mediumship and psychic ability to provide a new weapon in the fight against terrorism, violence and abuse. He is known to be witty, fearless, controversial and accurate in his readings. He regularly appears on radio and writes for international magazines and, along with his wife, has investigated and worked on cases of a more sinister nature including murder, missing persons, hauntings and possessions.

Poisonous drops of terrorism have started percolating into the social setups of apparently peaceful States like Kerala, too. Such evil instincts should be rooted out from the beginning stage. This is an occasion when we should not remain as mute spectators.
Terrorism cannot be interpreted as or attributed to a principle of any value. Acts of extremists lack the strength of logic.
Evils exist disguised as goodness. Extremists too sustain with their ugly faces masked with certain false causes and claims. Prima facie their demands would lure. But on close analysis, futility of their claims surfaces.
Terrorists claim they are the bravest, but act only in the dark and attack from the back. It is a futile way of life that can be adopted only by perverted minds and cowardice.
How do seeds of terrorism germinate? Terrorism never sprouts from within one's own soil unless there is an outside force to pull the strings. In reality, these extra-societal forces pamper the youngsters and brainwash them to become characters of a pre-planned puppetry - in most cases, another form of cold war between nations. Let us fight against such instigators of evil, who inject poison into the young bloods.
Youth is a target of all. Politics, business, trade, art and culture need the very essential young bloods. Propagators of terrorism, too need them. Let us take a strong resolve not to keep our youngsters prone to a disaster. Let us wave our mighty magic wands to flush out extremism from our great secular, democratic land.

How you ever wondered how wonderful the world is? From the amazing symbol of love, The Taj Mahal, the mysterious pyramids, beautiful tulip gardens of Holland and the eye catching sceneries of the Swiss Alps, the world we live in is simply a symbol of beauty and wonder.
But with every lovely moment and sight to treasure and ponder there is also a negative part that many of us have experienced or heard of, that is terrorism.
Terrorism can be defined as an act of unlawful violence and war. It has been one of the most talked about topics around the world and also a threat that all nations try to eliminate.
The need to fight against terrorism was first seen by the horrific tragedy of 9/11 where the World Trade Centre and Pentagon was the target of a horrific terrorist attack. It sparked a worldwide outrage and also many countries took the responsibility to join hands together and further combat terrorism.
Most of the individuals involved in these outrageous acts have been bold and conduct their attacks with proper planning, the latest in Jakarta. These extremists believe that their cause of terrorism is mostly holy, but it can be agreed that their perception of religion and also cause have been blinded by power and publicity. Their inhuman acts have destroyed infrastructures and killed thousands of lives around the world.
Terrorism can no longer be considered an issue to be taken lightly. Extremists have started to become even bolder and dangerous in recent times and serious action has to be taken to prevent them from further causing damage.
With the newspapers currently filled with news portraying acts of terrorism nowadays, each and everyone of us should take the initiative to fight against any acts of terrorism for a better future ahead of us.

The spread of terrorism in the last few years has been pretty significant in the Indian context with new terrorist coalitions coming up expanding the canvas of counter terrorist activities for the security forces.
The terrorists have systematically silenced dissenting voices -- Vice-chancellors, judges, lawyers, teachers, journalists, priests, and families of security personnel are among those murdered. This terror campaign that runs across religious boundaries has resulted in the exodus of several hundred thousand civilians from the Kashmir valley. Many, never to return again and claim property they legally own. Once prosperous areas, the border regions now have struggling economies. Development aid is necessary to restore normalcy and bring hope to the people.
There have been numerous reports with regard to the head count of Naxalites operating along the so-called Red Corridor from Nepal to Andhra Pradesh, which peak at 20,000 as per some vague estimates of Reuters. Does that really matter? Is it relevant in terms of applying counters? In my opinion, the number games, be it the so called Jihadis operating in Jammu and Kashmir or the Maoists in Nepal or the Naxalites in the terrorist affected States of India is just a statistical output for projecting or perhaps justifying an idea. The controlled flow of terrorists through well designed mechanisms from across, ensures the credible numbers remain a threat in being and whether it is a small number or a large presence, the terrorists strike at a target of the choosing.
There is no denying the fact that Islamic terrorism in India is a bye-product of the US-inspired and orchestrated jehad of the 1980s against the Soviet troops in Afghanistan. To make the Soviet troops bleed, the USA's Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) encouraged Islamic fanaticism and incited unemployed Muslim youth all over the world to go to Afghanistan to carry on a jehad against Communism. Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) was entrusted by the CIA with the task of religiously motivating, training and arming the jehadi mercenaries from different countries and sending them into Afghanistan for fighting against the Soviet troops.
On one hand, the Hindu minority has been persecuted in many countries in the world, and on the other hand, the Hindu majority has been targeted by terrorism in India, which is over 82% Hindu. Terrorism and insurgency are the unending battles India has been fighting since Independence.
Regional cooperation in the battle against terrorism has not been as successful in south Asia as it has been in the Southeast Asian region. This is largely because of Pakistan's policy of using terrorism as a weapon to keep the Indian security forces bleeding and pre-occupied with internal security duties and Bangladesh's tolerance of the activities of terrorists from its territory. Unless these two countries realize the folly of their policies and actions, which have made their own territories playgrounds for terrorist groups of different hues and irrationalities, there is very little scope for any meaningful co-operation.
India has fought four major wars over the problem of the disputed POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir). Pakistan is unlikely to be able to win a conventional war against India. For this reason, Pakistan has allegedly resorted to sending terrorists into Kashmir, calling them freedom fighters. This holds true throughout the world: one side's terrorist is another side's freedom fighter. Globally, the impact of terrorism has been increasing since al-Qaeda formed alliances with existing terrorist organizations. The rise of tensions and the looming threat of nuclear war between India and Pakistan have triggered a mass exodus of foreign nationals from India as well as Pakistan.
Is there a way out?

     ABSTRACT
Nowadays, no one seems to be saved in the world. Terrorism, an ugly development which has compelled the world leaders as well as the public figures to spend millions of dollars beefing up their security, has become a global threat. Amidst this seemingly tight security and threat, thousands of innocent souls have lost their lives to the annihilation called terrorism.
Statistically, it has been proved that no country of the world is exceptional to terrorist attacks. Pius Odiaka writes on the palpable fear pervading world following the series of bombings in some countries. He declares in the Guardian Newspaper, Friday, July 29th, 2005, (page 24) that "No part of the world has been left without terrorist bloodshed. From Kenya, Algeria, Egypt in Africa to many countries in the middle East and the Gulf; Indonesia, Philippine, Pakistan and India across Asia; Washington and New York in America; Spain and now London in Europe, many innocent souls have been sniffed out of existence."
The paper will present how terrorism is a threat to Global Peace. It will enumerate the category of acts of terrorism. It will also examine the causes and implications of terrorism in human advancement especially in the area of peace building and keeping. Above all, it will provide recommendations by referring to the United Nations recommendations for a global counter-terrorism strategy. It concludes by affirming that the global peace can only be achieved if the world- the leaders and the followers-condemn terrorism in all forms and ramifications, and act unconditionally and justly in their quest to providing everlasting solutions to peace, as it constitutes one of the most serious threats to global peace and security.
Introduction
In human history, terrorism is widely recognized as the world most famous enemy of mankind. As history itself will admit that terrorism is annihilation with far-reaching and destructive effects, it is the cruelest of crimes against humanity. Its remains have turned neighbours into enemies and have made our societies and the whole world unsafe for living. Its aims and applications are global and uncompromising. Neither terrorism nor is perpetrators are new. Even though it has been used since the beginning of recorded time, not history itself can keep, with precision, the number of lives and properties lost to terrorism.
No doubt, terrorism with its destructive power has reshaped the world we live in. We now live in the world characterized by rising violence and conflicts. This, in turn, has led to the world of growing mistrust, fear, division and represents a significant new threat to international justice, peace and security. This ugly development thus made Amnesty International to observe in its 2004 Report the lasting effects of the crime on humanity.
This report and others provide a valid point on how terrorism or terrorist acts have made the world unsafe and how it has threatened global peace.
Historical Background of terrorism
It is pertinent to recall that forms of society and governments in the past differ from what they are today, when describing the history of terrorism and the use of terror through time. Not until 1648 (Treaty of Westphalia), there was nothing like modern nation-states. More recent is the state's monopoly on warfare or interstate-violence. The absence of central authority gave many more players opportunity to participate in the game of warfare. However, this did not make the use of terror a method of affecting a political change. In contrast to the modern era, where only nations go to war, the involvement of players such as religious leaders, mercenaries, mercantile companies, national armies and many more was considered to be lawful and normal.
Terrorist acts or the threat of such action have been in existence for millennia. So, in narrating the history of terrorism, it is important to talk about the various types of terrorism and terrorist individuals and groups. Below is the summary of the history of terrorism.
Ancient World:
Sicarii Zealots
Political scientists see the radical Sicarii offshoot of the Jewish Zealots as one of the earliest forerunners of modern terrorism. Like modern terrorists, they intended their actions to suggest a message to a wider target audience: in this instance, the roman imperial officials and all pro-Roman and collaborationists
Al-Assassin
The Hashshashin (also Hashishin, Hashsshiyyin or Assassins) were an offshoot of the Isma ili sect of the Shiite Muslims. After a quarrel about the succession of leadership in the ruling Fatimide dynasty in Cairo around the year 1090, the losing Nizariyya faction was driven from Egypt. They established a number of fortified settlements in present day Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon under the charismatic leader Hasan I Sabbah.Persecuted as infidel by the dominant Sunni sect in the Muslim world; they sent dedicated suicide murderers to eliminate prominent Sunni leaders whom they considered "impious usurpers." The sect was decimated by the invading Mongols, their last stronghold being flattened by Hulegu Khan in the year 1272.Many scholars believe the term Hashshashin, a name given to them by their enemies was derived from the Arabic "hassasin(hashish user),which they are alleged to have ingested prior to their attacks, but this etymology is disputed. The sects referred to themselves as al-da-wa al-jadida, which means the new doctrine, and were known within the organization as Fedayeen.
Seventeenth century
Gunpowder Plot (1605)
On November 5, 1605 a group of conspirators, led by Guy Fawkes, attempted to destroy the English Parliament on the State Opening, by detonating a large quantity of gunpowder secretly placed beneath the building. The design was to kill King James1 and the members of both houses of parliament. In the resulting anarchy, the conspirators planned to implement a coup and restore the Catholic faith to England. However the plan was betrayed and then thwarted.
Eighteenth century
1.Sons of Liberty
The Sons of Liberty were an underground group opposed to British Rule in the colonies, who committed several attacks, most famous among these was the Boston Tea Party. No one was killed or seriously injured by any action that was taken.
2.The Terror (1793-1794)
The Reign of Terror ( September 5 1793- July 28 1794) or simply The Terror ( French: la Terreur) was a period of about eleven months during the French Revolution when struggles between rival factions led to mutual radicalization which took on a violent character with mass executions by guillotine.
The victims of the Reign of Terror totaled approximately 40,000.Among people who are condemned by the revolutionary tribunals, about 8 percent were aristocrats, 6 percent clergy 14 percent middle class, and 70 percent were workers or peasants accused of hoarding, evading the draft, desertion, rebellion, and other purported crimes.
Nineteenth century
1.Anarchism
Anarchists was the most prolific terrorists of the 19th century, with the terroristic tendencies of both nationalism and political movements of Communism or fascism still in there infancy. The disjointed attacks of various anarchists groups lead to the assassination of Russian Tsars and American Presidents but had little real political impact.
2.Tsarist Russia
In Russia, by the mid-19 th century, the intelligentsia grew impatient with the slow pace of Tsarist reforms, which had slowed considerably after the attempted assassination of Alexander II of Russia. Radicals then sought instead to transform peasant discontent into open revolution. Anarchists like Mikhail Bakunin maintained that progress was impossible without destruction. With the development of sufficiently powerful, stable, and affordable explosives, the gap closed between the firepower of the state and the means available to dissidents. The main group responsible for the resulting campaign of terror-'Narodnaya Volya' (people's will) (1878-81) - used the word 'terrorist' proudly. They believed in the targeted killing of the 'leaders of oppression'; they were convinced that the developing technologies of the age-symbolized by bombs and bullets- enabled them to strike directly and discriminately." People's Will", possessing only 30 members, attempted several assassination attempts upon Tsa. Culminating in the assassination of Tsar Alexander II on 13 March 1881, killing the Tsar as he was traveling by train.
3. Irish Republican Brotherhood
In 1867, the Irish Republican Brotherhood, a revolutionary nationalist group with support from Irish-Americans, carried out attacks in England. These were the first acts of "republican terrorism", which became a recurrent feature of British history, and these Fenians were the precursor of the Irish Republican Army. The ideology of the group was Irish nationalism.
4. Nationalist terrorism
The Fenians/IRA and the IMRO may be considered the prototype of all 'nationalist terrorism', and equally illustrate the (itself controversial) expression that "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter'. At least one of these groups achieve its goal: an independent Ireland came into being. So did an independent Macedonia, but original IMRO probably contributed little to this outcome. Some groups resorted to the use of dynamite, as did Catalan nationalists such as La Reixa and Bandera Negra.
5. John Brown
John Brown was an abolitionist who advocated armed opposition to slavery. He committed several terrorist attacks and was also involved in an illegal smuggling of slaves. His most famous attack was upon the armory at Harpers Ferry, though the local forces would soon recapture the fort and Brown, trying and executing him for treason. His death would make him a martyr to the abolitionist cause, one of the origins of American Civil War, and a hero to the Union forces that fought in it.
6. Ku Klux Klan (1865)
The original Ku Klux Klan (KKK) was created after the end of the American Civil War on December 24, 1865, by six educated middle-class confederate veterans from Pulaski, Tennessee. It soon spread into nearly every southern state of the United States. The Klan has advocated for what is generally perceived as white supremacy, anti-Semitism, racism, anti-Catholicism, homophobia, and nativism. They have often used terrorism, violence and acts of intimidation such as cross burning to oppress African Americans and other groups. The name 'Ku Klux Klan' has been used by many different unrelated groups, but they all seem to center on the belief of white supremacy. From its creation to the present day, the number of members and influence has varied greatly. However, there is little doubt that, especially in the southern United States, it has at times wielded much political influence and generated great fear among African Americans and their supporters. At one time KKK controlled the governments of Tennessee, Indiana, Oklahoma and Oregon, in addition to some of the southern U.S legislatures.
Twentieth century
Suffragette, Assassination of Archduke Ferdinand (1914), KKK(1915),Irgun (1936-1948), World War II, Nationalism and the End of Empire,Cold War proxies,,IRA,,ETA, Aum Shinrikyo (1984-1995), Achille Lauro Hijacking (1985), Lockerbie bombing (1988), Umkhonto we Sizwe (South Africa 1961-1990), PLO (1964-c.1988), Columbian terrorist groups, Munich Massacre (1972),Matsumoto incident(1994), Sarin gas attack on Tokyo subway(1995),and Oklahoma City bombing (1995) are types of terrorism and individual terrorists and groups that operated in the twentieth century.
Twenty-First Centuries
The well-celebrated September 11 (2002) attack and the Beslan school siege are recent terrorist attacks of the twenty-first century.
Terrorism: Definition of a Phenomenon
As clearly stated above, terrorism has established itself as a world phenomenon before 1648. But then, it becomes imperative to look into the true meaning of the term.Although providing a definite definition for it has been accorded with series of controversies, etymologically, the term emanates from Latin, "terrere", meaning "to frighten" via the French word terrorisme, which is often associated with the regime de la terreur, the Reign of Terror of the revolutionary government in France from 1793 to 1794.The Committee of Public Safety agents that enforced the policies of "The Terror" were referred to as " Terrorists".
The English word "terrorism" was first recorded in English dictionaries in 1798 as meaning "systematic use of terror as a policy". The Oxford English Dictionary still records a definition of terrorism as "Government by intimidation carried out by the party in power in France between 1789-1794.
The controversial issue is that the vocabulary of terrorism has become the successor to that of anarchy and communism the catch-all label opprobrium, exploited accordingly by media and politicians. The difficulty in constructing a definition which eliminates any just cause for terrorism is that history provides too many precedents of organizations and their leaders branded as terrorist but who eventually evolved into respected government. This has applied particularly to national liberation movements fighting colonial or oppressive regimes, engaging in violence within their countries often as a last resort. Jomo Kenyatta of Kenya spent years of his life lobbying the British government before his involvement with the Mau Mau rebellion. Nelson Mandela, a hero in his continent and beyond, is another convicted "terrorist" belonging to this class.
Before making a valid point, it is important to say that this piece would like to consider further statements and criticisms on the issue and recognized that there are other valid arguments on these controversial issues. However, they are not within premises of this paper.
Arriving at a universally accepted definition of terrorism which narrows down to a specific method of conducting violence instead of "all its forms and manifestations" or which makes it possible to refer terrorist acts to an international court, as for genocide and other war crimes or which makes it impossible for individual countries to outlaw activities they choose to classify as terrorism perhaps for their own political interest is a great challenge in the study of terrorism.
While the United Nations has not yet accepted a definition of terrorism, the UN's "academic consensus definition," has been put forth for consideration. And they are available for public evaluation.
In final analysis, although, it is not clear the actual number of definitions of terrorism; but it is clear that terrorism does not have respect for human lives and values. It has claimed thousands of lives of innocent souls, rendered millions of people homeless and economically handicapped. Alas, it is clearer that terrorism has turned our world into a place conducive for its existence and spread.
Effects of terrorism on global peace
Indisputably, terrorism is a threat to global peace. As it thrives well in a world such as ours- where violation of human rights, rising violence and conflicts, ethnic, national and religious discrimination, socio-economic marginalization and extreme ideology, dehumanization of victims are prominently in practice, it has succeeded in disregarding human lives and values, launching war on freedom and peace, multiplying violence and conflicts, and posting challenges of solving the problem of injustice, insecurity and declining economy.
Recommendations
In  accordance with the United Nations in a report titled: Uniting Against  Terrorism-Recommendations for a global counter-terrorism strategy, this  paper hereby presents the following recommendations;
(1)All stakeholders-the leaders and the followers, individuals and institutions must dissuade people from resorting to terrorism or supporting it.
(2) All stakeholders, in all ways and at all levels, must deny terrorists the means to carry out an attack by:
- denying terrorists financial support.
-denying terrorists access to deadly weapons, including weapons of mass destruction.
- denying terrorists access to travel.
-denying terrorists access to their targets and their desired impact.
(3) All stakeholders, in all capacities, must deter States from supporting terrorists groups.
(4) All stakeholders must develop State capacity to prevent terrorism by:
- promoting the rule of law and effective criminal justice systems.
- promoting quality education and religious and cultural tolerance.
- countering the financing of terrorism.
- ensuring transport security.
- preventing terrorists from acquiring nuclear, biological, chemical or radiological
materials, and ensuring better preparedness for an attack with such materials
-improving the defense of soft targets and the response to their attack.
- promoting United Nations system-wide coherence in countering terrorism.
(5) All stakeholders, collectively, must defend human rights in the context of terrorism
and counter- terrorism.
Even though my recommendations are fashioned out of United Nations recommendation for a global strategy, they represent a holistic and realistic approach to fighting or countering terrorism. However, if these recommendations are given the opportunity to operate or if implemented and executed properly and continuously, they are effective strategies of countering terrorism and, at the same time, ensuring a world free of violence and conflict, violations of human rights, ethnic, national and religious discrimination, political exclusion, and socio-economic marginalization
Conclusion
As you will agree with me that terrorism affects all of us, our approach to fighting or countering terrorism and ensuring a safe and peaceful world must be collective. However, it is worth noting that the world leaders, followers and stakeholders have vital roles to play in the fight against terrorism and in achieving our goals of global peace and security.
For the world leaders and stakeholders, these roles transcend attending or organizing world summit, conferences, seminars, e.t.c on the topic, and consenting to Global strategy to counter terrorism on papers. They need to commit more resources, at all levels, to the cause, be more sincere and objective in their judgments, more practical in their approach, and create enabling environments conducive for justice, conflict resolutions, human right protection, equality, stability, unity, prosperity, tolerance, peace and security.Above all, they need to promote and support ultimately because that have respect for human lives and values.
For followers and individuals, we need to carry out the message beyond conferences that terrorism is inexcusable and unacceptable. We need to engage in one- to -one education or group discussions enlightening ourselves on the devastating and destructive effects of terrorism on our lives and values, and emphasizing that terrorism is not an effective way of championing a cause, whether political, religious or otherwise. We must recognize that peace is the most precious need of humanity.

"Psychic capitulations is the ability of a leader to motivate a human to willingly make the supreme sacrifice of his life for a cause is the strength of religious terrorism or a states patriotism"
As I have stressed in my previous article that various facets of OEM theory and Oil Command Diplomacy (OCD) is going to be the true and ultimate cause of unrest in the most of the MEN, ASEAN, European and African countries in 21st/22nd centuries, the psychic with which future terrorists are going to be born needs special attention of all. It would not only affect the affected nations such as India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq; but also would severely cripple the economies of USA, Europe and African countries by the middle of 22nd Century. As I have predicted that over 22% to 35% of world population would be extinct due to natural calamities, increasing population pressure on earth and rapidly sinking natural resource, the ultimate wars like Mahabharata the Great would be once again fought in between 2075 AD to 2090 AD and 2125 AD to 2150 AD. The spiritual instinct indicates the Great War of Extinction (GWE) will be fought by the end of 22nd century. Who would survive, God knows; but the era of Adam and Eve would be reinvented due to high demand of natural resources and totally corrupt and mislead material world.
If our future generations have to fight the terrible War of Survival, then there is a need to analyze and identify as to who all would be the soldiers of the terrorism and the areas where all, the world as a whole has to unite and fight. There is also a need to study the psychology of future fighters. I would also like to debate as to how a terrorist would be viewed by different people at different time and areas. The menace of terrorism has nearly touched each and every country of the world. The Fire of Terrorism and Insurgency (FOTI) which was ravaging amongst Third World Countries (TWC) has now engulfed the developing and developed countries as well. The gas attack in train in Japan, Air Kanishka terror campaigns in Canada and Bali Bombing in Indonesia have times and again proved that no geographical boundaries can restrict terrorists' movement and mission. I would like to debate as to what types of Soldier of Terrorism (SOT), are going to be braved by our future Terrorism Counteraction Think Tanks (TCTT).
Before, I debate further on the traits and characteristics of SOT; I would like to draw my esteem readers' attention as to what could be the focal causes for continuance of terrorism in future. Though, large numbers of volumes have been written by USA, UK, and many other European writers but I am still to find anyone really touching the basic issues of terrorism. In my view the main causes could be that:
· One; Natural Resources Equilibrium (NRE). In my view the management of natural resource and their equal distribution would be the prime cause of either full fledged Local Area Conflict (LAC) or continuous simmering discontent against a powerful oppressor. The Dynamic Propellant Energy (DPE) requirement of a nation would be the prime cause of instability in the Oil Rich Geographical Areas (ORGA). The rate at which Western countries, USA; and Developing and Under Developed Countries (DUDC) are consuming and exhausting natural oil resources, it is going to create an extreme pressure of demand on the countries of ORGA. As it is most of the world countries believe that USA and her allies invasion of Iraq has nothing to do with WMD, but it was a tacit move to gain the control of oil prosperous reserves of Middle East Nation (MEN), therefore, the prediction of USA withdrawing from Iraq in near future is debatable. I therefore believe that the people of ORGA are going to take up arms as and when they feel the hardship of live
· Two; Hysterical Population Procreation Growth (HPPG). The second most reason to ensure that terrorism continues would be the uncontrolled procreation of population. As some of the communities, in the name of religion, are forbidding their followers not to adopt birth controlled measure, these people would swarm the earth with human beings. Though the USA, Europe, India, China and some other nations have been able to bring check on population growth but all the countries of ORGA, MEN, SEAN, Africa and South African Region, are unable to educate masses to respect the resources of mother earth. Infact, most of the Islamic bigots are overtly advocating to increase their children growth rate to get the future Soldiers of Jihad and Islam (SJI). These Islamic scholars believe that population control measures are against their spiritual belief and faith. Such imbalance population growth would widen the gap between Haves (HV) and Have Not (HVN). Thus always leaving a window open to be exploited to take up arms against apparent rich and prosperous peoples. The uncontrolled population growth will not only generate additional pressure on natural resources but also indiscriminately criminalize the future society. It will further result in:
o 1), Large Muslim inhabited areas of MEN, SEAN, and Arabian Desert would continue to remain poverty ridden due to large families and over population growth, thus, always having a fertile area to recruit SOTI and SOT.
o       2), continuous widening of gaps between HV and HVN;
o 3), Poor countries national would always moving towards prosperous states thus creating instability amongst rich, developed and developing countries. It is well evident even today, that India, USA, UK and European Nations are already facing the problem of large scale migration of mostly Muslim Asians population.
o 4), ever increasing population in African countries would create pressure on local natural resource, thus, destabilizing local areas and seeking UNO intervention as can been seen in Darfur, Sudan and Ethiopia.
o 5), an ever increasing demand of over populated nation's people for health, educations, infrastructure and other amenities like Bangladesh, and other nations would continue to absorb maximum UNO aid resources and causing unrest amongst developing nation's home population.
o 6), most important effect would be of heavy criminalization of the society. The HVN would always envy HV lifestyle. They would never rationalize their own family strength, resources, and other earning factors but always debate a small family with large resources, thus, revolting against them. The present family example can be equated with a nation as in case of USA. The prosperity of USA is not digested by most of the Muslim Nations whose population is ten times more than the USA. Small is Beautiful and large is Manageable is a true proverb.
· Three; Prosperity-Poverty Prejudice Disorder (PPPD). Another important cause which I feel is widening gap between nations PPPD factor. The people who control largest natural resources are the poorest and utilize minimum resource and on contrary the developed countries are not only prosperous but also maximum utilize of all the natural resource. The rising discontent amongst third world countries is visible in Middle East and Asia. The continuous opposition of people about western nation's prosperity would be an important factor of sustaining terrorism.
· Four; Cultural Identity Crisis (CIC). I also believe that the CIC would also be a cause of sustaining terrorism. As it is most of the people in Islamic nations including India perceive a direct threat to their own cultural identity due to electronic media invasion in most of the people's bedroom. They feel that western open culture is more akin to animal way of life where relationships are mere tool to fulfill lust. The bikini culture and lewd disco dances are already shaking the youths all over the world. I thus feel that Islamic, Hindus and various other religious pundits feel that the increasing influence of western culture needs to be checked. If peaceful means fail, then the terrorism is the only mean to force the ban.
·        Five; Religious Identity Crisis Conflict (RICC).  As I have discussed about the RICC in my previous article but I still  strongly feel the RICC of two religious communities in the world that is  Islam and Judaism supported by Christianity would be the main cause of  continuance of terrorism in future. As it is most of the Islamic Nations  already perceive that USA and her allies invasion is an expansionist  policy of Western nations. The Islamic nations fear that;
o       a; USA and her allies invasion is an expansion of my OEM theory;
o        b; Islamic nations feel continuous presence of USA would  influence their people mind and threaten basic fabrics of Islamic  religious identity;
o       c; Most countries believe that western nations wants to gain the control of rich ORGA;
o       d;   Large number of people believe that natives would become subservient and western people the rulers as past;
o       e; a continuous threat to Islamic highest temporal seat of religion;
o       f;  disrespect and dishonor to their women folks under foreign rule;
o g; the most important is the fear of expansion of Israel and USA to gain control over Middle East Nations.
· Six: Strong verses Weak Nations. As most of the over populated nations would not be able to defend and launch prolonged wars, they would resort to terrorist and insurgent movements to continuously resist their opposition, thus, always victimizing ruling/pro-ruling innocent civilians. It would be a daily routine to hear massive bombing explosion at every nook and corner of their sway as it is, the Jihadi resistance in Iraq is the beginning of SOT Movements in future. How many Iraqis die daily through bombing does not matters to western nations but the day such bombing takes place in their nations, the nature of war would be different. I believe every SOT movement would end with a devastating effects and heavy loss of human lives and properties of weaker nations.
I am sure that the readers would be able to analyze the true shape of future
Problems to deal with in general but my anxiety to debate as to what would be the Organizations, characteristics of future Recruits and Soldiers of Terrorism (RASOT)? What I believe:
· First; they would be organized on the principle of Small, Swift and Effective (SSE) units equipped with advance means of communications and mobility, and armed with highly sophisticated, lethal and precision guided munitions, explosives and weapons with the capabilities to rapidly assemble and disperse with in a given time frame at selected target areas. As most of the targets would be innocent civilians and soft installations, there would no problems for RASOT units to strike and escape with ease?
· Second; as I perceive a direct threat to various religious community would be looming large by the middle of 20th century, the most of the recruits would be graduating from fanatic religious schools controlled and run by religious bigots and revolutionary leaders. I therefore, feel that the recruits of RASOT would be having staunch religious bent of mind and fanatic approach towards life. Until unless future commanders do not find such religious oriented recruits, it would be difficult to sustain terrorism in the comfortable life style of future world. Once again, a separate entity would be required to identify, select and enroll such recruits and the most fertile ground for RASOT recruits would be HPPG, PPPD and RICC areas of MEN, SEAN and Asia.
· Third, the next trait would be that such RASOT will be from deprived, underprivileged and illiterate strata. They would be well built, masculine and intelligent but foolhardy inhabiting remote and inaccessible areas and recruited to conceal identify. These people would generally be employed to under take final execution of operations at the target end. Such soldiers would be trained and educated at somewhere else in third countries and launched at different places to ensure complete success of operations.
· Fourth; Religious, Communal and Cultural Affinity (RCCA). The most important factors of RASOT recruits and protagonist operators amongst stronger nations would be people of similar religious faith, affinity and cultural identity. Twin tower bombing in USA had reflected a strong religious bondage amongst all RASOT mission members. Until unless, such fertile population base is not available in target country, no terrorist mission can succeed. However, in the multi-ethnicity culture of all nations, it is next to impossible for not getting RASOT in any country of any religion. So far, all the terrorist bombing related attack operators in target country, launching bases country and intermediately links whether in USA, UK, India, Pakistan or Spain have been identified through third country SOT mission planners. How to counter the challenges, I would debate in separate article while addressing religious terrorism. It would be suffice to say that all the nations have to generate a databank to share to track suspects' movement through travel agents network.
· After debating the traits, now I would debate about the individual RASOT as to how would you identify him in the ocean of millions innocent people. What my husband and my personal experience reveals that all such RASOT would be:
o SOT top levels leader would staunch religious bigot and fanatic who want to follow the true tenets of religion whether in Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism or Christianity. Nevertheless, lager threat of terrorism is from Islamic religious fanatics who generally have been using the religion to tame their adversary and antagonists through death threats called Fatwa. Infact, such leader would be ruthless and merciless killers who would instill fear through tyranny and brutal actions amongst larger unarmed people. As it is, the Islamic Religious Identity Crisis (IRIC) has been destabilizing the world ever since the inception of Islam; it would continue to do so and thus threat of terrorism would also remain for every nation to dealt with
o The second level individual planner recruits and subordinate leaders and executioners both would be possessing excellent command of religion, high education and well cultured to arouse minimum suspicion. It would be difficult for TCTT and intelligence agencies to identify and isolate such operators. Anyhow they would be very different in dealing and conduct.
o The middle level of recruits would be both physically and mentally not only strong but robust, dedicated and always filled with vigor and courage to launch terrorist strikes. They would be able to speak multi languages and able to mix up with all types of people. Infact most of such people may go to the extent to deceiving target country's woman and marry to fulfill their missions The home country has to have a method of registering and acknowledging such people's marriages in their countries. Infact, it would be their tactic to get place to live in target country through marriages as its is seen in India that most of the Pakistani terrorists have got married in and around capital to gain access to wrack havoc. These terrorists would pose as wealthy businessmen but always pray for a poor family female to easily trap. As most of the Muslims believe four marriages
o        The next individual trait of ground recruit who is going to die  or execute the mission is that he would be exceptionally following  religion with devotion and commitment. He would grow up as a protector  of religion. I anticipate that;
§         One, such RASOT would be  identified and taken from their families either after paying money or  in the name of religious education from the infant age of five and  above;
§ After that these recruits would be educated in exclusively setup religious schools like in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and erstwhile Afghanistan up to the age of teen, twelve as how to perform various religious activities. This gestation period will be more crucial in identifying various categories of soldiers. A highly motivated mediocre and calm people will be selected to under take suicide missions and rest the overt fighters.
§ After the age of twelve, these recruits would be given basic motivations, physical and arms training at different levels and thereafter selected to form different groups for operations.
§ Subsequently after dividing them into various categories, these soldiers would be transshipped back to their counties or threatened AOI (Area of Interest) before the age of sixteen or seventeen in different groups but as one operating unit.
§ Soldiers hereafter would always be ready to sacrifice their lives at the order of their mentor. They would have unfathomable killing instinct, deep revulsion and .hatred in their mind and thus leaving no scope for mercy. This how such die hard fanatics undertake suicide mission and blow up themselves without remorse for anyone.
My endeavor to highlight various facets of terrorism is drop of sweat in the ocean of blood of human being which is going to flow in the streets of poor nations. I would deliberate individual traits of a terrorist in my next article so that various people are able to identify the hidden threat in their neighborhoods.

"Nation which has strength of Oil, Economy and Military
would continue to rule the world in 21st century"
My dear readers, as most of you are aware of the curse and menace of terrorism, insurgency and various separatist movements being fought by both patriotic and unpatriotic war mongers (new word literally meaning People who create unrest through violence). As it is, I am trying to debate an incredibly burning issue which has engulfed the entire planet in its fire chime; the real causes are, none the less than the economic interests of various nations. The Fire of Terrorism and Insurgency (FOTI); which is continuously ravaging in the hearts of different nationalities; is demonstrating its devastating effects on the streets of Third World Countries (TWC) resulting in preventable bloodbath of unarmed, innocence and helpless citizen on the planet. I believe that the terrorists attrition aimed conflicts identify no boundary, nationality or religion because such conflicts are propagated and undertaken by weaker section of society against far stronger and powerful enemy. The AL-Qaida's unending and relentless Conflicts of Attrition (CoA) against USA and the West is one such tirade. What are the ingredients which need review?
Sometimes, I feel as to why the people fight? The land, self rule, independence, autonomy, sovereignty and what not are a few words picked up by patriots, fanatics and staunch religion believers to enhance their sustenance. Though the heat of spreading FOTI is felt in the Western world now; but the people of India, Middle East, Israel, Palestine, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan Iraq, Iran, Ethiopia and various other nations from Turkey, Pakistan to India are suffering from last five decades. The maximum sufferers are the people of TWC, who have continued to struggle due to differences of opinion amongst them on religious, sovereignty and economic issues.
The downing of twin towers in USA, Metro bombing in London and blasts in train in Spain speak of peculiar problem of religion. It is more of Religious Identity Crisis Conflict (RICC) representation struggle rather than any other issues. The magnitude; with which terrorism has spread its tentacles beyond the geographical boundaries of their nations, was not even perceived by the Terrorism Counteraction Think Tanks (TCTT) of the USA, UK, Russia and many other Western countries. The uncontrolled, unaccounted and directionless proliferation of small but mass massacring lethal weapons, explosives, money and sophisticated equipment supplied both by the USA and the former USSR during Cold War Era (CWE) rivalry has now raised its deadly hood to bite the same people who have tried to milked the poisonous Cobra of terrorism in the world. The birth of most dreaded and feared terrorist or patriotic organizations like Al-Qaida, Taliban and Hamas in Palestine has not been spontaneous; but these organizations were assembled, formed, raised and nurtured with the expert advices of Intelligence Agencies of the United State of America, Pakistan and Iran.
The initial thrust of Super Power Blocks (SPB) Hostility for Influence and Dominance (HID) was not only to blindly oppose and counter each other's moves; but also secretly play treacherous game of pumping in an unaccounted quantity of Small Arms and Money Induced Uprising Diplomacy (SAMIUD) in amongst Middle East Nation (MEN) to gain ascendancy over local Areas of Interest (AOI) like Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, India; and to somewhat South East Asian Nations (SEA/N) spreading up to Diego Garcia islands.
As Muslims inhabit most of these areas, the Islam and Jihad had become basic tool of indoctrinating erstwhile patriots and today's terrorists both by the USA and Russia. The connotation of "One's Patriot is Other's State Enemy" (OPOSE) became the basic yardstick of pumping in money and arms in these areas. While both the SPB were engaged in launching various Local Area Conflicts of Covertness and Stealth (LACS) operations for dominance, the nations like Britain, France, Japan and Germany had exploited the economic opportunities created due to unstable and destabilized Internal Political and Economic Affairs (IPEA) of such nations. The major sufferer indeed have been poor people of rural areas of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Iran in the Asian continents, Israel, Palestine, Syria, Egypt in MEN and Angola, Ethiopia and various other nations in South African hemisphere.
Based on my famous theory of OEM (Oil, Economy and Military Strength), I have observed that three major factors, one; Oil, two Economic Resources and three; Military Long Arms Reach (MLAR) have forced both SPB to test their theory of Conflict Interest Diplomacy (CID) in these nations. Infact, SBP have not only practiced examined, evaluated and adopted various theories of CID, but also successfully exhausted their obsolete, outdated arsenal and explosives. Small nations were forced to carryout carried out unsuccessful uprisings against each other. The unstable state of Afghanistan even today is the true paradigm of CID during cold war era. Who suffered, and who gained is not the issue now; but what is presently causing instability amongst Muslim World needs debate?
Without digressing from original path, let me discuss a few causes of terrorism for the benefit of Ezine readers. As most of the causes are common to various Regional Areas of Conflict (RAC), a few peculiar to local nations could be debated later. Why I named RAC, because I believe that both USA and USSR have ensured that all the conflicts are not only restricted with in a defined geographical boundaries as per their economic interests but also fought with the in the their terms and conditions of HID, suiting their economic and other interests. These SBP also ensured that no LAC could go out of their hands to flare out into major wars; and thus, assuring their Small Arms and Explosive Industries (SAEI), a safe business as usual. While human blood continued to flow and drench the soil of MEN, SEAN and other nations on one side, the SAEI business of Western nations prospered days after days on other. However, the Chinese and Kalashnikov entries into the Small Arms Market (SAM), by and large, have reduced their business share but still the Western Nations control over 43% of SAM.
So far the Western nations and the warring countries have written nearly hundreds of tons of volumes trying to understand, differentiate and explain the causes of terrorist, separatists and insurgency movements but I am going to divert and debate on the issues and causes which are known to everyone but not debated enough to prevent and stop the menace of terrorism. I am skeptical about the perception of West in tackling the problem in its true sense. What about you? I leave it to my readers' vision.
Notwithstanding the above, I will enlarge my investigation based into two distinct Areas of Interests and Dominance (AID) of World nations in controlling and sustaining terrorism in any country. While, I have identified six basic causes of terrorism within a suffering nation, Wealth, Illiteracy, Poverty, Religion, Unemployment, and Foreign Interventions (WIPRUF), the other External Instruments of Terrorism (EIT) of other nations need exhaustive deliberations.
These WIPRUF have further enlarged terrorism bases and spread the movement in various forms. I feel that the deliberation would result in checking the movement. If WIPRUF are not well understood and implemented, it will cause severe unrest within a country like Afghanistan and Iraq. My own perceptions and assumptions are that the:
· One; the unequal  distribution of Wealth between Haves (HV) and Haves Not (HVN) is  resulted in launching of communist and Marxist philosophies to terrorize  people. The crushing of students' movement at Tiananmen Square is one  such example of state terrorism. It is a major problem amongst Muslim  Nations where vast difference exist amongst local masses wealth  prosperity;
· Two; another cause of sustaining terrorism and similar movements is Illiteracy amongst TWC and UDDC people;
·  Three; Poverty is another important issue which resulted in spreading  such movements in various Under Developed and Developing Countries  (UDDC). The poor peasantry has been shown the green pastures and  exploited to sustain such terror networks. There is a need for both  developed and UDDC to join hand and tackle the issue of poverty as a  global problem rather than making it regional or continental issue;
·  Four; Religion is the only factor which prolonged terrorism in the  world. Some times same religious crisis cause disruption or another  religious influence over other makes such conflicts to flare up. So far  various Islamic movements in World over are real cause of worries both  of Muslims and Non-Muslims;
· Five; Unemployment has been the  boosting factor in feeding the terrorist cadre and files. As most of the  TWC and UDDC governments have failed to provide suitable jobs to  educated youths, the opportunist leaders took advantage of such youths  and maintained a continuous strength feeding line forever;
· Six; the most important factor is Foreign intervention where HID and SAEI play a vital role. The USA, USSR, China and Pakistan have been reportedly found involved in supporting various terrorist networks world over. Chinese direct support to terrorist of Indian North Eastern Region (NER) and Pakistan support of Taliban with USA have prolonged such LAC in Afghanistan. My endeavor is to further my debate and identify the true causes of terrorism and similar other movements presently being fought in the world under USA hegemony and protagonism.
Do you really agree that the WIPRUF are the true causes of unrest? I strongly say no, and hope so do you all. The true causes originate from AID and EIT of power blocks. In today's world, all the conflicts are controlled, guided and allowed flaring to a Conflict Culmination Engagement Level (CCEL) by the USA and western nations. My theory of OEM further governs the CCEL depending upon the SBP AOI, HID and SAEI. As the USA is only power which dictates terms to rest of the world, her leadership became self proclaimed protector of the world's human right watch dogs. The USA and her allied self proclaimed role of protecting world from Weapon of Mass Destructions (WMD) has plunged these nations in an unending Conflict of Containing Terrorism (CCT) in Iraq and Afghanistan; and it is further threatening to launch a new front with Iran and the North Korea.
I hope my readers would have been able to now identify the true causes of terrorism based on EIT and WIPRUF. These EIT are based on OEM theory which truly speaking is the real cause of maintaining CCEL in SBP own interests. You will agree that my attempt to deliberate on OEM theory to substantiate my views is genuine concern of all.

Firstly, O stands for Oil. I identify the oil as backbone of any countries economy, which indirectly supports Military power. Infact all three factors are interdependent to each other. The oil does not mean the gas and patrol but it is true representations of energy which is required in a nation to sustain her economy and allied activities. The SBP have always kept the Oil Producing and Exporting Countries (OPEC) in the MEN and ASEAN areas under constant need of check and control. I believe that whosoever controls the Flow of Oil (FoO), Controls Destiny of the World.

Secondly, Economy prospers with FoO. If any nation has enough oil reserves and is able to effectively gyrate sale and trade, she can become an economic power. The wealth and difference of HV and HVN is directly related to the oil flow. The USA and USSR endeavor from last five decades has time and again proved that the dominance of areas of FoO is equally important for all of them. If any nation can ensure uninterrupted FoO, her economy would rise which will ultimately strengthen her Military strength.

Thirdly; uninterrupted FoO and strong economy would lead to powerful military muscles. The strong economy would allow raising and maintenance of potable Armed Forces

I ultimately conclude "Nation which has strength of Oil, Economy and Military would continue to rule the world in 21st century" and hope to expand my debate as to how to tackle the menace of terrorism united as world community.

A couple of days after 26/11, I remember watching hysterical television with a few friends and concluding that there will be no war, no strikes and no one handed over. Irrespective of pressures, I still think this holds true.
There has been an outrage and there have been slogans. People are angry. They don't want to see another attack. May be because the 26/11 is a stark reminder that terror can strike anyone, including you and me. So Indians swear 'never again' and vow to do something. We are serious and mean business. This time Pakistan will not get away.
This is much like the sentiment post 9/11 in the US. US was angry and determined. US declared a 'war on terror'. US could and did respond militarily. But where did it get anyone?
A war on Afghanistan. India supported it, mostly, hoping that ouster of Taliban may ease things in Kashmir. Iraq was mindless. In fact so mindless, that prior to the war there wasn't any terrorist presence in the country. Now there is. In big numbers. Spreading.
This is where war on terror itself is a stupid phrase. How can you fight terror. When you do, it creates terror, it is counter-productive. It give these so called organizations a cause to attract and build armies for attacks.
Pakistan, the biggest ally for US in the 'war on terror' has also been the biggest haven for AL-Qaeda. Can US invade Pakistan though? Theoretically yes. It may abolish all the camps and activities. However, in the longer term, it will only create more grievances and anti-US sentiments. It will then create even more terrorists.
The whole sense created in India after 26/11 is of an attack on India. "This is not an attack on Mumbai. This is an attack on India." Everyday someone or the other on Television demands an action on Pakistan. Someone or the other wants a war. They want some surgical strikes. Something. They want something because they don't know what is the exact thing that will eradicate terrorism. That no one knows.
Attacking Pakistan is not the solution. It cannot happen. The days are gone when we could have a war with each other. The whole world, though, is shivering at the possibility of two Nuclear Armed nations at war. They are shivering unnecessarily. It won't happen. Any nuclear attack on Delhi or on Islamabad will be felt in either city as well. It's not an option.
What is surprising though is that the very people asking US not to over react after 9/11 are perpetrating these sentiments. These sentiments help terrorism. They do not, never have and never will eradicate terrorism. You cannot fight it. You can fight a country, an army, not an entity that has no presence in any one area. It cannot be done. This army is not created. This army multiplies whenever there is an attack. It is complex and it doesn't mind losing. They believe whenever they lose, they become stronger and become more in numbers.
Look, 26/11 was a trap. Certain people in Pakistan establishment (not the establishment), whether the ISI or the army supports Islamic solutions to certain issues. Hence extremism must stay alive to keep the world on edge. The western border for Pakistan was getting hot. Their army in some places is fighting against their own cause. They needed to divert people. 26/11 helped them move the troops from there to here. Some people therefore in the Army or the ISI may have helped. As a senior Military analyst recently pointed out, this was completely strategic. Its worked for them and we have fallen for it. Only, that they didn't account for someone to be captured alive.
There isn't a war or a strike that will solve this. India may think they can strike the camps and over and out. It doesn't work. US has tried it, still is. Two wars later - progress - zero. In fact the whole talk of war has redirected attention to Kashmir. Something that was quietly becoming a non-issue. Something that was just about beginning to be seen by the world as been created to be an issue by extremists.
Zardari had made a statement in the recent past to discuss issues, categorically saying that Kashmir is not the 'only and central issue'. There was an opportunity to do something, which we have now lost out on. Unfortunately politicians, presidents and prime ministers in Pakistan do not run the show entirely. They have very little control over happenings. If they exercise more, they get replaced with Generals.
Yes something must be done. But What? All this war talk is regressive. The other side knows that we will not act. It doesn't help. It allows everyone breathing time. The international pressure will take years to show result. There may be more attacks in the interim. There are no easy answers. It takes decades to change this. It took nearly a century for Britain to tackle Irish - terror. The reason is that the 'cause' behind terrorism is largely unknown, if there is one. Many say there are only two causes that the terrorists are fighting for - Kashmir and Palestine. Lets assume for a while - that we accept Islamic solutions to both these - Will it end terrorism?
May be Pakistan decides to do something after a few more Benazir Bhutto happens. Even then how much will they achieve? Tacking internal terror too isn't easy. India hasn't been able to do it in Central and East India.
Lets not be guided by the ferocious moments. No one wants to be told today to take it easy and have patience and simply rely on diplomatic solutions either. I do believe though, that people at large need to understand the problem and understand too that there isn't any easy 'quick-fix' solution. There isn't likely to be. There isn't anything you, I or the military can do that will eliminate terrorism or make the terrorists surrender.
In the long run what is the solution? Wars don't help. It hasn't over the last couple of decades. Eventually Terrorism can only be defeated by changing the mind sets of terrorists. This may take years and years to accomplish, may be decades, may even take a full century. We don't even know where to start and how. However, this will take decades from whenever we start.
It takes resolve. It takes participation and it takes leadership. We haven't even began. Who will start first - Will you, Will I or Will some leader?
Till we answer, we keep waiting for someone or something.
As Leo Tolstoy said, "Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself."

     Introduction
Today's world is an increasingly complex world and in this complex world, new challenges are emerging, have emerged and will emerge. The lesson we learn in life is not to stay still, think beyond and outside the box and try to meet the new challenges with vigor. And among these challenges "Terrorism" is one of the most discussed issue.
Terrorism knows no borders and those days are gone when you could say it happened in country X or continent Y.
If we look at recent history briefly we will see that terrorism has emerged in North America, Latin America in parts of Asia, in the Middle East, in South Asia, in Europe and Africa.
Today, if you try to travel it is a hassle. If your name is Mohammad or Aziz and you are a normal citizen, you are given special treatment in negative sense. Now Before Going deep into this topic it is better to define what is actually meant by the word "Terrorism".
Definition
The Basic and simple definition of terrorism is: Terrorism is an activity which causes terror, and the person who causes this activity is called terrorist. The moment a robber sees a policeman he is terrified. So a policeman is a terrorist for the robber. In this context every Muslim should be a terrorist. When a criminal sees the Muslim he should be terrified, Whenever any rapists sees the Muslim he should be terrified, Whenever any robber sees the Muslim he should be terrified, Whenever any antisocial element sees the Muslim he should be terrified. That's what the Quran says in Surah Al-Anfall Ch. 8 V 60 "Cause terror in the heart of anti-social elements". Those people who are killing around people and who are against humanity Quran say cause terror in their hearts.
I know commonly the word "Terrorist" used only in negative sense (i.e. for a person who causes terror among the common people). For Example Oxford dictionary define the word terrorism as, "the use of violent actions in order to achieve political aims or to force a government to act". So in this context no Muslim should ever terrorize a single innocent human being, it is prohibited in Islam.
Two Different Labels, Same Activity!
We know two different labels are given for the same person for the same individual, for the same activity. 60 years back when India was being ruled by the British Government there were many Indians who were fighting for the freedom of their country. These Indians who were fighting for the freedom of the country by the British government they were called as terrorists. But the common Indians called them Freedom Fighters or Patriots. Same People, Same Activity, Two Different Labels. If you agree with the view of British government that they had a right to rule over India than you have to call those people as terrorists. But if you agree with the view of common Indians that the British were came to India for business they have no right to rule over India, than you have to call them Freedom Fighter or Patriots.
It is therefore important that before a person is judged, he is given a fair hearing. Both sides of the argument should be heard, the situation should be analyzed, and the reason and the intention of the person should be taken into account, and then the person can be judged accordingly. For example to judge whether Osama Bin Laden is a terrorist or not? We cannot give the answer to this question based on the news reports of BBC and CNN. If you want the answer based on the news of CNN or BBC you have no option but to say that he is a terrorist. But the Quran says in Surah Hujrat Ch.49 V.6,"Whenever you get any information, check it up before you pass it over to the second person." So, having lack of reliable information we can't answer these types of answers so easily.
Is Terrorism a Muslim Monopoly?
We know that no religion encourages terrorist acts or violence. We also know that in every religion there are black sheep and the media keep putting these people forward. This is a media conspiracy especially against Islam and the purpose is to push people away from Islam. International media is repeatedly publishing, "All Muslims are not terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims"
Whereas the word "Islam" itself means "Peace", whose fundamentals teach its followers to maintain and promote peace throughout the world. Anyone, be it Muslim or non-Muslim, who kills an innocent Muslim or a non-Muslim, kills the entire humanity. However, Islam goes a step further to say that if one saves innocent lives, the whole of humanity is saved.
Thus every Muslim should be a fundamentalist i.e. he should follow the fundamentals of the Religion of Peace Islam. He should be a terrorist only towards the antisocial elements in order to promote peace and justice in the society.
Historic records proved that a large number of terrorist acts in the 20th and 21st century were committed by non-Muslims. And when we analyze we can surely say without any doubt that terrorism is not a Muslim monopoly. Not only is Terrorism not a Muslim monopoly, it is not even a specialty of the Muslims. It is not even encouraged in Islam. It is prohibited...
"If any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people." - The Quran, Surah Al Ma'idah Ch. 5 V. 32
Islam condemns all forms of Terrorism. All forms of acts which kill innocent human beings, whether it is 9/11, 7/7/93 (Bombay serial blast), 11/7/03 or any other. It is prohibited, you cannot justify killing of any innocent human being.
We also have to condemn..
i. 1000's of Afghani's that are being killed in Afghanistan.
ii. 1000's of innocent people that have been killed in Iraq.
iii. 1000's of people that have been killed in Gujarat.
iv. 1000's of people that have been killed in Palestine.
v. 1000's of people killed in Lebanon.
All sorts of terrorism in which innocent human being are killed are to be condemn. Whether done by Muslims or Non Muslims.
As I mentioned before that most of the religions they don't preach that you should kill innocent human beings. But when we analyze, we have terrorist that clam to profess certain religions and when we analyze they are from all types of religion...
i. We have Christian terrorists
ii. We have Catholic terrorist
iii. We have Jewish terrorists
iv. We have Hindu terrorists
v. We have Muslim terrorist
vi. We have Buddhist terrorists
vii. We have Sikh terrorists
And when we do a survey, (though we know that religions don't encourage killing innocent human beings) and try and find out that the people who have killed the maximum human beings which religion do they profess...
The number 1 who killed the maximum number of human beings is...
1. Hitler.
He had incinerated 6 million Jews And indirectly if you count all the people killed in World War II, 60 million people. Was he a Muslim!? No, He was a Christian.
2. Joseph Stalin (Uncle Joe)
Killed 20 million human beings Including 14.5 million were starved to death.
3. Mao Tse Tsung of China
Killed 14 to 20 million human beings. He was a Non Muslim.
Here we are not trying to say that the followers of these religions were practicing the religion. They were not, otherwise they wouldn't have killed a single innocent human being. But yet we find in the International media that Muslims are being targeted. The Question is Why? And we all know the answer of it.
Injustice a root cause of terrorism.
If we want to abolish terrorism, we have to realize what is the cause of terrorism. The experts say the root cause of terrorism is injustice. When injustice is done on a group of particular people they tend to retaliate, and that is the only cause of terrorism.
For Example after a terrorist attack in India 2 people were caught by the police, they are said to be Muslims and the authority said these people killed so many people in the Hindus temple in revenge. However these people, who did the attack they have a logic. They says, "Thousands of our family members were killed in front of our eyes, we have been looted, we know the person who is responsible for all this, he is our neighbor, we met him regularly, but when we see him it remind us of the toucher, when we go to the law the law does not support us, so we take the law in hand.".
I'm not justifying this act, Islam does not permit you that take the law in hand and kill other innocent human beings, and Islam does not justify to use wrong means to reach the right goals. People should not take the law in their hands. But in spite of this fact reacting like this is natural for any normal human being unless you have so much faith in Almighty God, even we will also do the same, if we do not know our Quran, if we did not know from the Quran it is wrong. So Just because someone cause injustice to me, this does not justify me to kill a third innocent human being.
So we should remove the injustice from this land to eliminate Terrorism otherwise every act to eliminate it would cause of increase in Terrorism.

There was world-wide joy yesterday as the belly of intended terrorist bombing campaign over 10 transatlantic flights to the U.S. were ripped opened by British and Pakistani counter-terrorism detectives.
This event once again confirms that terrorism is not just an impulsive and angry response by an insane group bent on destroying western democracies. This aborted plot showed traces of a long-term, meticulous and clandestine group who PATIENTLY planned, calculated and waited for the hour to strike.
We have inadvertently permitted terrorism to flourish because we failed to address and deal with the THREE deep roots of terrorism. Let me first identify these three "fertilizers" of terrorism before proffering solutions of dealing with them. They are:
1. A COWARDLY, SELF-PRESERVING and OPPORTUNIST LEADERSHIP CORE
2. A Triangular PHILOSOPHY of POPULISM, MARTYRDOM and FEAR
3. An HATE ARMY of YOUNG FOOT-SOLDIERS as HEROIC GUINEA PIGS
The real leaders and inspiration behind terrorism, are a very rational and intelligent (albeit negatively) being. The moment we begin to see them as so, the better we would be equipped to deal with this scourge. In their cowardly bid for self-preservation, they refuse to "lead by example" of the 'martyrdom' which they preached to their innocently gullible followers, and for the cause which they professed, they treacherously deceive and mislead innocent young lads with the promise of Al'janah "heaven" so as to commit suicide and mass murder in the name of God.
These innocent and exuberant young lads were recruited on the basis of false, illusory and hate philosophy, trained and used as cannon fodder- the "heroic" Guinea pigs of terror, the dispensable pawns on the chess board of world terrorism, currently being master-minded by Al-Queada's Osama Bn Laden. These are the foot soldiers hate activism, let loose in the barbaric warfare against civilization and development.
Another important structure in the arsenal of terror is what I call The Triangular Philosophy. This is taught in terror classes and training camps to indoctrinate the gullible youth victims. Terrorism, realising its weakness and utterly abominable acts by the larger society, sought refuge in these 3-pronged philosophy of Martyrdom, Populism and Fear.
Martyrdom became a distorted theory in the hands of terror, to inspire its captive students of the 'glorious' place heroes occupy in the heart of every society, long after they are dead. They inspire the captives unto suicide and mass murder so they would become world "heroes" of Islam and Allah.
Populism is one great refuge desperately sought by an isolated, enstranged and ostracised terror gang in desperate need of acceptance by the larger society. An undemocratic terror sect seeks popularity among the moslem world desiring to lean on religious demagoguery, masquerading as the avenger and champions of 'persecuted' Islam.
Fear is the last instrument in the hands of a failed murderous group. They seek to instil fear by violent means in the mind of a public that has refused to accept the cold-blooded insanity of terrorism. Having failed to win the battle of reason and logic, they seek to opportunistically exploit public desire for peace and development, by using violent means to scare the people into pressurising Western Governments to "leave Islam alone" and withdraw their forces from Iraq, Afghanistan, and withdrawal of Israel from Palestine and Southern Lebanon. To drive popular mood and indignation, by placing the blame for their murderous acts at the doorstep Western Governments.
The method of exposure and arrest of these terror plotters, for the first time shows we are no longer dealing with them as a maddening crowd that must be tackled with an array of emergency and panic measures. Tracking a terror plot for 13 months and allowing it germinate, multiply and breed more terror cells under the watchful eyes of the state over a controlled period of time, before swooping on them is a coordinated and matured tool in the arsenal of counter-terrorism.
It is time to take the battle against terror to its recruiting ground. Superior philosophy to terrorist escape valley must be channelled to neutralise the fertilizer of terrorism in the Moslem communities where the recruits of terror are enlisted.
The self-preservative opportunism of the leadership must be exposed and the captive philosophy of submission to be used as cannon fodders or guinea pigs for terrorism must also be unmasked and dismantled among the Moslem youth. These are some of the measures to counter the psychology of terror which many a disillusioned Moslem youth feed on and thereby making terrorism to flourish.

Terrorism poses as one of the world's most severe security risk in the 21st century. It is a negative concept with a believe in violence as a means of attracting national and international attention, achieving political, economic and social interest. Terrorism is dated right from the very beginning of human civilization but with increased cases as from the 19th century. For instance, anarchists in some rural parts of Italy and Spain employed terrorist means likewise their counterparts in France. Russian revolutionary movement before World War I had a strong terrorist element etc. In the 20th century, groups as the Irish Republican Army (IRA) carried out their terrorist activities beyond the boundaries of individual countries. They were sometimes supported by established governments, such as those of Bulgaria and Italy under the Fascist leader Benito Mussolini.
Con temporal terrorism is more effective than those of the past due to technological advances, effective communication mediums, extensive worldwide connection and the availability of smaller size weapons.
Most co temporal terrorist activities are carried out by extremists with terrorist bases in countries like Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, etc. Recent terrorist attacks like the plane crash against the World Trade Centre in New York City and Pentagon, the bombing of the London underground railways, etc were carried out by the terrorist organization known as Al-Qaeda net work, as a Jihad against America and her Western allies. There are smaller terrorist organizations in different parts of the world but the vast net work is coordinated by Bin Laden the founder of Al-Qaeda. People live in the United States in relative security until 9/11 when the terrorists stroke and brought down the twin towers of the world trade centre and Pentagon, sending many who came for business to their graves. Thousands used the London underground railway in relative security and safety for several years until July 7 2005 when the terrorist strike killing many and wounding others. Egypt Nile resort was an important spot for tourists until the terrorist's stroke and killed over 300 persons. India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine Israel, Kenya in Africa etc have all witness severe insecurity as a result of terrorist assaults. Terrorism has increased insecurity worldwide. People are no more certain with their safety as they travel or work in different places. The security risk posed by terrorism, has changed the course of world affairs. Billions is spent in the fight against terrorism worldwide, yet the threat is still here with us. So much is still needed to curb the plight of terrorism.
Combating Terrorism
There is a solution to every problem, an answer to every question. Terrorism has its solution in both pro-active and reactive measures. Pro-active measures are preventive while reactive measures are restrictive measures. Pro-active measures are less expensive measures, while reactive measures are more expensive. To curb terrorism in the 21st century, humanity must be more pro-active than reactive. (Prevention is better than cure).
Pro-Active Measures
i) Enlightenment: One of the most effective pro-active measures in curbing terrorism is investing towards enlightenment. Most at times, humanity ignores the factor of enlightenment as a means to resolving conflicts and resorts to weapons of mass destruction. This is great ignorance. Enlightenment can go a long way in providing solutions to conflicts in which the use of weapons of mass destruction cannot. Every problem has its solution in knowledge. In fact, ignorance is the platform for every form of inhumanity. Ignorance is the greatest instigator of violence and destruction. Societies where terrorism is applied as a means to achieving political, social and economic interests are societies with perverted knowledge and unenlightened nationals. Until humanity realizes the destructive effect of ignorance and the superiority of enlightenment in resolving human conflicts, humanity will continue in unnecessary loss of resources in her search to resolve conflicts.
Enlightenment is the sense of being correctly or rightly informed, instructed, inspired and learned. Enlightenment is the greatest need of every human being with respect to proper moral and ethical behavioural patterns. To order the behaviour of people with respect to right morals and ethics, enlightenment is imperative. One of the weaknesses of the world's education is its deficiency in knowledge with respect to proper understanding of life and social sciences. This has made the world poor in her morals and social ethics, leaving us in an imbalance with respect to our civilization. The world has improved in her scientific and technological breakthroughs but failed in having humanity to live together, enjoying all we have in love, peace, harmony and brotherliness.
If humanity will balance up her civilization with proper human relation and operation, she must accept an educational revolution characterized by absolute focus on achieving complete quality and positive human development. (Mental, physical, moral and social). Such educational revolution will produce balanced individuals and societies which will express proper understanding, consciousness and awareness in relation to life's demands.
Ignorance is not the lack of information but the absence of positive and quality knowledge. Terrorist individuals and societies are informed to some extent but their actions reveal their ignorance with respect to positive and quality knowledge.
No properly knowledgeable individual or society can encourage terrorism. Quality and positive knowledge have a way of enlightening individuals and societies with respect to proper behavioural and ethical pattern to human relation and life's demands. It is knowledge which illuminates, motivates, prepares, activates, challenges and transforms the human life and mind for quality operation and productivity.
The world needs a new educational concept to conquer terrorism. We may not be able to change the mentality of those who are currently intoxicated with the terrorist ideology but through quality education, we can influence and change the younger generation towards quality living in the future of this century and millennium. "Enlighten the youths" is the slogan for a long term solution to terrorism. If all what is invested in the production of weapons of mass destruction and the deployment of soldiers around the world as a means towards the defeat of terrorism can be invested in propagating the concept of quality education. I believe much will be achieved to curb the threat of terrorism.
ii) The rule of law: The rule of law deals with stipulated standards by which a society is governed, right and wrong determined for the purpose of justice. Laws are principles or stipulated standards made by men to order the behaviour of individuals and to determine the operative dynamics of a setup, society, nation or the world. In a setup, laws may take the form of rules and regulations. While in a society or nation, laws may take the form of constitutions of government, legislation or judicial opinions.
One of the pro-active measures in curbing terrorism is for every society to establish legislative laws, adopting constitutions of governments and judicial opinions which abolish every form of terrorist actions and the propagation of terrorist ideology. Every society without laws against terrorism will inevitably become the breeding ground for all forms of terrorist ideology and action. Terrorism thrives in societies which provide safe grounds for their activities. If every nation of the civilized world will enforce laws against terrorism, then terrorism will soon be history.
(iii)Sharing intelligence: Terrorism can be prevented if intelligence sharing between citizens and their governments and between nations of the international community is effective. Intelligence sharing deals with the provision of needed information by concern individuals, intelligence services and concern groups with respect to terrorist plans and activities before they are carried out. To prevent terrorist attacks, intelligence sharing between nations of the international community must be efficient and effective. This is equally a preventive or pro-active approach to terrorism.
Reactive Measure
These are emergency measures intended to restrict and to curb terrorist actions. These measures involve diplomacy and the use of force.
i) Diplomacy: Diplomacy in restricting and curbing terrorism has to do with dialogue with designated terrorist groups, in search of their grievances and methods of resolving them. In fact, the policy of not negotiating with terrorists is not just working. Governments and the international community should review this policy and go into negotiations and dialogue with terrorist groups in search of their grievances.
Most terrorist groups have grievances which can be resolved through diplomacy. In fact, most terrorist attacks are intended by the terrorists to attract national or international attention to certain plights and grievances. Thus, diplomacy can be applied nationally or internationally as a means to identify and resolve grievances which instigate terrorism. When diplomacy fails?
ii) The use of force: This is a reactive measure intended to apply pressure on terrorist groups so as to restrict their activities. It is worthwhile to note that, force is only necessary when all avenues of diplomacy fail. Force may take the form of sanctions. These sanctions may involve economic and arms embargoes or international isolation against terrorist organizations and societies which sponsor terrorism.
Secondly, force may involve military intervention. The use of force is necessary because certain terrorist groups or societies may never accept diplomacy and may never comply with standards. They may want to achieve their aims no matter what. Such recalcitrant individuals and terrorist groups need to be brought to order through the use of force. It needed force to stop the ambition of Hitler. After world leaders applied diplomacy and failed, force was the only option which arrested Hitler's ambition to conquer Europe. It was force which brought the end to Iraq's occupation of Kuwait, etc.
When terrorism resists the above measures, humanity must now depend on Divine intervention as the final solution.
iii)Divine intervention: God works in the affairs of men. I believe it was Divine intervention which shaped history throughout the ages. When human means fail, Divine intervention is imperative. Divine providence can cause the collapse of a negative system. There is nothing impossible with divine intervention. In our quest for solution to terrorism, we should not leave aside Divine intervention.

7 Analytical points on the aspect of Terrorism
1. Definition of Terrorism:-
Criminal and violent acts committed by a section of the people against the Society, Humanity and the Government to get their demands accepted or get their work done may be categorized as Terrorism . In other words, terrorism takes place when some section of people adopts violent means to change the democratic set up or to get their demands fulfilled. Generally, this section does not believe in negotiation or cannot achieve their aim through it.
Among many faces of the terrorism, following are a few to be named:- Sabotage, Assassinations, Derailment of trains, Hijacking of planes Abduction and Kidnappings, Mass killings, Looting of Banks and other Public Offices, Destruction of Public properties, and Exploding Bombs etc. The purpose of the terrorisms - is to create terror in the minds of the people and thereby to make the outfit's ground strong, which inter alia may compel the Administration to bow down before the antisocial and thereby to accept their demands. The antisocial have no respect in the ethnic values and to the government and humanity. They resort to violence to create a panicky in the society and to terrorize the civic bodies. Satisfaction of their demands and taking revenge becomes the main aim, therefore the easiest way chosen is the terrorism.
2. Causes of Terrorism:-
Basic causes of terrorism are ----
a. Dissatisfaction over certain issues:- There may always be some difference of opinion or disagreement between persons, societies, regions, groups, provinces or countries, but some people could not reconcile the same and get frustrated which ultimately resorts to lawlessness, looting, killing, kidnapping and mass violence. Unemployment and poverty which arises due to regional imbalance of economic development in different parts of the world also play vital role in promoting terrorism. Sometimes terrorism takes birth due to religious reasons and caste conflicts also.
b. Misuse of National and International Machinery: - National and International governments often use their might where some other means could have done well, party politics, partiality and biased decisions also responsible for this severe problem. The sections which are at the receiving end get depressed and frustrated and form outfit groups who starts indulging on atrocities and disturbing the normal life trying to draw the attention of the world towards them.
c. Technological Development: - Development in science and technology has given us several destructive and improved arms and ammunitions which have somehow reached in the hands of the outfits. Easy access to the fatal arms and availability of huge money laundered from different corners are not only helping formation of the miscreant groups but also aggravating the problems. Cross country illegal drag and ammunition trafficking also contributes havoc in this parameter.
d. Injustice and Exploitation Motive: - Tendency to exploit others is a perennial innate phenomenon which is still very much persistent in almost all corners of the world. The poor and less developed are still being exploited by the so called advanced sectors and the former thinks that the system can be set right by means of terrorism and muscle power.
e. Assistance and encouragement from outside: - Several countries in the world are facing the aggravated terrorism problem. Because of the cross border assistance provided to the anti social elements by means of pecuniary help or arms contribution or some other way, the problem sometimes becomes unmanageable. This type of cross country terrorism indulged by a few countries just to get their vested interests satisfied is simply unethical and must be deplored by all and sundries irrespective of caste, creed and color.
3. Basic features of terrorism:-
This is predominantly planned and intentional action performed in a group or by a party in an organized manner for the purpose of conducting preconceived destructive activity.
Mainly aimed at particular group, administration, law enforcing authority, government, civilians or public property.
Always undemocratic, unlawful, barbaric and unethical.
It's an unacceptable approach to create a psychological impact in the minds of society and thereby to pressurize the administration and the government to bow down before the demands of the terrorists.
Main aim is to get the things done or to take the revenge by hook or by crook.
4. Why do they resort to terror?
The terrorists do not have any respect for the democratic law and order, they do not believe in negotiation, but want to get their demand accepted. They know that the government can not tolerate the killing and abduction of innocent citizens, children and women, thus they resort to such activity in order to create pressure to the administration to accept their demand. Some terrorist activities take place just to take revenge for the sake of satisfaction and heroism. There are some groups who indulge on terrorism on the pretext of religion also.
5. What is the Impact of terrorism?
It has a great impact in the society, in the economy, in the ethnic values. Being an anti social and destructive activity, it halts the economic and social development of a nation. People behind terrorism are disgruntled, brainless, and crazy who tries to create panic in the minds of the people and in the society by killing innocent people either in the name of their abnormal demand or in the name of religions without any regard to ethics and human values to satisfy their perverted interest. Since business and other economic activities flourish in the peaceful and secured atmosphere, there bound to be hindrance in the development in the economic sector where the terrorist activists are indulged in looting, abduction, kidnapping, and other destructive activities. The provinces or countries which are encouraging this type of violence are spending million of dollars in this regard which could have been diverted to economic development for the welfare of the citizens by providing medical facilities, education, and establishing other industries and infrastructural facilities . On the other hand, the Government or the country which are resisting the terrorists have also to spend huge resources from the Government exchequers for preventing the outfits by way of training and deployment of forces and purchasing of modern and improved equipments and ammunitions.
7. Ways and means to control the terrorism:-
First and foremost job is to inculcate strong public opinion and a serious attempt should be made to create awareness for problems like this.
There should not be any compromise so far as the lawlessness is concerned. More pungent acts should be enacted and implemented to counter this menace. Administration should not hesitate to adopt coercive measures whatever it deserves. Exemplary punishment must be awarded to the outfits. Armed forces and the organizations engaged in preventing this type of activity should be adequately equipped with modern and improved version of weapons.
In case of cross country terrorism, assistance may be sought from other peace-loving countries /nations who are willing to extend their helping hands for prevention of terrorism. World public opinion should be gathered against those countries that are assisting such barbaric acts; they should be isolated under the prudent leadership of the World body like UNO.
Economic and regional imbalances would be minimized with the constructive assistance of world bodies, whose intervention may play a great role in this regard.
Citizens should also come forward to stop providing assistance to outfits. They must extend their full cooperation to the administration to curb the menace.
Communal harmony is another essential requirement to counter the threat of terrorism.
In any means the fear from the minds of the people should be eradicated which the antisocial try to implant. Protection must be provided to the people but at the same time it is to be ensured that excessive and misutilization of power by the law enforcing bodies should be avoided at any cost which will have adverse impact in the situation.
