The Birth of Imam Hassan bin Ali R.A

Hazrat Hasan bin Ali was born on 15th Ramadan 3 AH in Medina. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) named him Hasan and on the seventh day performed his ‘Aqiqah and slaughtered a goat, then shaved his head and ordered that a silver equivalent to the weight of his hair be given in charity.

Before Hazrat Hasan r.a was born, Umm al-Fadl r.a had a dream in which she was given the good news of the birth of Hazrat Hasan r.a. After seeing the dream, Hazrat Umm al-Fadl came to the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) and said, “O Messenger of Allah, I saw in my dream that a piece of your body is in my house.” Hearing this, the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, “You have seen a good dream. Fatima (ﷺ) will give birth to a boy and you will breastfeed him with the milk of Qatham.” So Hazrat Hasan r.a was born to Hazrat Fatima (ﷺ) and Umm al-Fadl r.a breastfed him with the milk of her son Qatham.

ایک دن حضرت علی بن ابی طالب کرم اللہ وجہہ کوفہ میں تھے۔ ممبر پر تشریف لائے اور لوگوں کو خاموش کرانے لگے تاکہ سابقین اولین کے حالات سے لوگوں کو آگاہ کر سکیں، آپ رضی اللہ عنہ مخاطب ہوئے، لوگو! مجھے بتاؤ سب سے زیادہ بہادر کون ہے؟ لوگوں نے کہا: امیر المومنین! آپ رضی اللہ عنہ ہیں۔ فرمایا کہ میں نے کسی سے مبارزت طلب نہیں کی مگر اس سے پورا انتقام لیا، لیکن تم مجھے یہ بتاؤ کہ لوگوں میں سب سے زیادہ بہادر شخص کون ہے؟ لوگوں نے کہا: ہمیں نہیں معلوم۔ امیر المومنین آپ رضی اللہ عنہ ہی بتا دیں کہ کون ہو سکتا ہے؟ حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ سب سے بہادر آدمی، ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ ہیں، اس لیے کہ بدر کے دن ہم نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے لیے ایک عریش بنایا تو ہم نے کہا کہ اب رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ کون رہے گا تاکہ مشرکین آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو کوئی نقصان نہ پہنچا سکیں تو خدا کی قسم! ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ کے سوا اور کوئی حضور ﷺ کے قریب نہیں ہوا، ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے سر پر کھڑے تھے اور تلوار سونتی ہوئی تھی، دشمن کی طرف سے جو بھی آتا آپ رضی اللہ عنہ فوراَ اپنی تلوار سے اس پر وار کرتے۔ پس ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ ہی سب سے طاقت ور آدمی ہیں۔

No one came close to the Prophet except Abu Bakr Siddiq, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Hit him. So Abu Bakr Siddique (RA) is the most powerful man.

حضرت علی ؓ اور ایک مغرور یہودی کا واقعہ

ایک یہودی شخص "مرحب" اپنے گھوڑے کی پیٹھ پر سوار ہوا وہ بڑا مغرور و متکبر سردار تھا اور بڑے جوش و خروش سے یہ رجس پڑھتے ہوئے نکلا:

"خیبر مجھ کو جانتا ہے میں مرحب ہوں، ہتھیار بند ہوں، بہادر ہوں، تجربہ کار ہوں، جبکہ لڑائی کی آگ بھڑکتی ہے۔"

عامر بن سنان رضی اللہ عنہ اس رجس کا جواب دیتے ہوئے نمودار ہوئے اور یہ کہا:

"خیبر مجھے جانتا ہے کہ میں عامر ہوں، ہتھیار بند ہوں، بہادر ہوں اور جان کی بازی لگانے والا ہوں۔"

دونوں باہم صف آراء ہوئے، تلواریں چلیں، مرحب یہودی کی تلوار حضرت عامر رضی اللہ عنہ کی ڈھال میں گھس گئی، حضرت عامر رضی اللہ عنہ نے نیچے سے وار کرنے کا ارادہ کیا تو اپنی ہی تلوار لگی اور شہید ہو گئے۔ لوگ کہنے لگے: عامر رضی اللہ عنہ کے اعمال ضائع ہو گئے اس نے اپنی جان کو خود ہی قتل کر دیا۔ حضرت سلمۃ بن الکوع رضی اللہ عنہ دوڑتے ہوئے آئے اور حضور اقدس صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں روتے ہوئے حاضر ہوئے۔ آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے پوچھا: اے سلمۃ رضی اللہ عنہ! تجھے کیا ہوا؟ سلمۃ رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنے آنسو پونچھتے ہوئے کہا کہ لوگ کہہ رہے ہیں کہ عامر رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنے اعمال ضائع کر دیے۔ (یہ سن کر) حضور اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا چہرہ انور متغیر ہو گیا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے غضبناک ہو کر فرمایا: اے سلمۃ رضی اللہ عنہ! یہ بات کس نے کہی ہے؟ سلمۃ رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے چند صحابہ رضوان اللہ علیہم اجمعین ایسا کہہ رہے ہیں۔ نبی پاک صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "وہ جھوٹ کہتے ہیں، بلکہ عامر رضی اللہ عنہ کے لیے دوہرا اجر ہے۔" اس کے بعد نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو علم مرحمت فرمایا چنانچہ حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ اس مرحب یہودی کے مقابلے میں آئے جو یہ کہہ رہا تھا:

خیبر مجھ کو جانتا ہے، میں مرحب ہوں، ہتھیار سے لیس ہوں، بہادر ہوں، تجربہ کار ہوں، جب کہ لڑائی کی آگ بھڑکتی ہے۔

حضرت علی ابن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ اس کے متکبرانہ رجز کا جواب دیتے ہوئے آگے بڑھے اور یہ کہا:

میں وہ ہوں جس کا نام میری ماں نے حیدرؓ رکھا ہے، جھاڑی کے شیر کی طرح مہیب اور خوفناک، میں دشمنوں کو نہایت سرعت کے ساتھ قتل کر دیا کرتا ہوں۔

پھر اس کے قریب پہنچے اور مرحب پر ایسا حملہ کیا جیسے شیر اپنے شکار پر حملہ کرتا ہے۔ حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنی تلوار آسمان کی طرف اٹھائی اور مرحب کے سر پر تلوار کا وار کر کے اس کے جسم کے دو ٹکڑے کر دیے۔ مرحب بیل کی طرح خون میں لت پت ہو کر گر پڑا اور سسک سسک کر مر گیا۔

एक यहूदी आदमी "मरहब" अपने घोड़े पर सवार हुआ, जो एक बहुत घमंडी और अभिमानी सरदार था, और बड़े उत्साह के साथ इस अनुष्ठान को पढ़ता हुआ बाहर आया:

"खैबर मुझे जानता है। मैं गर्म, सशस्त्र, बहादुर, अनुभवी हूं, जबकि युद्ध की आग भड़कती है।"

आमिर बिन सिनान, अल्लाह उस पर प्रसन्न हो, इस घृणित कार्य के जवाब में प्रकट हुए और कहा:

"खैबर मुझे जानता है कि मैं अमीर हूं, निहत्था हूं, बहादुर हूं और जान देने वाला हूं।"

दोनों का आमना-सामना हुआ, तलवारें चल गईं, मरहब यहूदी की तलवार हज़रत आमिर (आरए) की ढाल में घुस गई, हज़रत आमिर (आरए) ने नीचे से वार करने का इरादा किया, लेकिन उनकी ही तलवार उन पर लग गई और वह शहीद हो गए। लोगों ने कहा: आमिर के कर्म बेकार गए, उसने खुद को मार डाला। हज़रत सलामा बिन अल-कुआ (आरए) दौड़ते हुए आए और रोते हुए पवित्र पैगंबर (पीबीयूएच) की सेवा में आए। पवित्र पैगंबर (PBUH) ने पूछा: हे सलामा! आपको क्या हुआ सलामा (आरए) ने अपने आंसू पोंछे और कहा कि लोग कह रहे हैं कि आमिर (आरए) ने अपने कर्म बर्बाद कर दिये. (यह सुनकर) पवित्र पैगंबर (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि वसल्लम) का चेहरा बदल गया, और पैगंबर (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि वसल्लम) क्रोधित हो गए और कहा: हे सलामा (रदी अल्लाहु अन्हु)। यह किसने कहा? सलामा (अल्लाह उस पर प्रसन्न हो सकता है) ने कहा कि पैगंबर (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम) के कुछ साथी यह कह रहे हैं। पवित्र पैगंबर (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम) ने कहा: "वे झूठ बोलते हैं, लेकिन अमीर के लिए दोहरा इनाम है।" उसके बाद, पवित्र पैगंबर (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम) ने हज़रत अली (आरए) को दया का ज्ञान दिया।

खैबर मुझे जानता है, मैं दयालु, सशस्त्र, बहादुर, अनुभवी हूं, जबकि युद्ध की आग भड़कती है।

हज़रत अली इब्न अबी तालिब, अल्लाह उससे प्रसन्न हो, आगे बढ़े और कहा:

मैं वही हूं जिसका नाम मेरी मां ने हैदर रखा था, मैं जंगली शेर की तरह खूंखार और डरावना हूं, मैं बड़ी तेजी से दुश्मनों को मारता हूं।

फिर वह उसके पास आया और मरहब पर इस प्रकार आक्रमण किया जैसे बाघ अपने शिकार पर आक्रमण करता है। हज़रत अली ने अपनी तलवार आसमान की ओर उठाई और मरहब के सिर पर वार करके उसके शरीर के दो टुकड़े कर दिये। मरहब बैल की भाँति खून से लथपथ होकर गिर पड़ा और छटपटाकर मर गया।

A Jewish man "Marhab" mounted on his horse, a very proud and arrogant chieftain, and came out reciting this ritual with great enthusiasm:

"Khyber knows me. I am warm, armed, brave, experienced, while the fire of battle rages."

Aamir bin Sinan, may Allah be pleased with him, appeared in response to this abomination and said:

"Khyber knows me that I am Amir, disarmed, brave, and a life-slayer."

Both of them faced each other, the swords went, the sword of Marhab Jew penetrated the shield of Hazrat Aamir (RA), Hazrat Aamir (RA) intended to strike from below, but his own sword hit him and he was martyred. People said: Aamir's deeds were wasted, he killed himself. Hazrat Salama bin Al-Ku'a (RA) came running and came to the service of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) crying. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) asked: O Salama! what happened to you Salama (RA) wiped her tears and said that people are saying that Aamir (RA) wasted his deeds. (On hearing this) the face of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) changed, and the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) got angry and said: O Salama (Radi Allahu Anhu). Who said this? Salama (may Allah be pleased with him) said that some of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) are saying this. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "They tell a lie, but there is a double reward for Amir." After that, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave knowledge of mercy to Hazrat Ali (RA).

Khyber knows me, I am gracious, armed, brave, experienced, while the fire of battle rages.

Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, went ahead and said:

I am the one named Haider by my mother, fierce and fearsome like a bush lion, I kill enemies with great speed.

Then he approached him and attacked Marhab like a tiger attacks its prey. Hazrat Ali raised his sword towards the sky and cut Marhab's body into two pieces by striking him on the head. Marhab fell down covered in blood like a bull and sobbed and died.

Hazrat Ali and Prophet Muhammad

جب حضور اکرم ﷺ نے حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو اپنے گھر میں رہنے کا حکم دیا اور خود ہجرت پر تشریف لے گئے تو منافقین نے یہ کہنا شروع کر دیا کہ آنحضور ﷺ حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو معمولی حیثیت کا خیال کر کے اور اپنے اوپر بوجھ سمجھ کر چھوڑ گئے ہیں، منافقین کی یہ باتیں حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ تک پہنچی تو آپ رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنا اسلحہ اٹھایا اور نکلے یہاں تک کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے پاس پہنچے حضور ﷺ اس وقت مدینہ کے قریب مقام "جرف" میں ٹھہرے ہوئے تھے حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کی آنکھوں میں آنسو بھر آئے اور عرض کیا: اے اللہ کے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم! منافقین کہہ رہے ہیں کہ آپ ﷺ مجھے اس لیے چھوڑ آئے ہیں کہ آپ مجھے اپنے لیے بوجھ سمجھتے تھے اور مجھے کم حیثیت خیال کرتے تھے، نبی کریم ﷺ نے سختی سے فرمایا! کہ وہ جھوٹ بولتے ہیں میں نے تو محض ان امانتوں کی وجہ سے تجھے پیچھے چھوڑا تھا اب تم واپس جاؤ اور میرے اہل و عیال اور اپنے اہل و عیال کی خبرگیری کرو۔ اس کے بعد آنحضرت ﷺ نے حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ سے فرمایا "کیا تم اس بات پر راضی نہیں ہو کہ تم میرے لیے ایسے بنو جیسے ہارون علیہ السلام، موسی علیہ السلام کے لیے تھے"۔ مگر یہ کہ میرے بعد کوئی نبی نہ ہوگا، یہ سن کر حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کا رنج وغم دور ہوا اور ہونٹوں پر مسکراہٹ کی لہر دوڑ گئی، پھر آپ رضی اللہ عنہ مکہ واپس آگئے۔

Hazrat Ali's status with Hazrat Muhammad:

When the Holy Prophet (PBUH) ordered Hazrat Ali (RA) to stay in his house and went on the migration himself, the hypocrites started saying that the Prophet (PBUH) considered Hazrat Ali (RA) to be of minor status and When these words of the hypocrites reached Hazrat Ali, he picked up his weapon and went out until he reached the Prophet, peace be upon him, at the place called "Jarf" near Madinah. While I was staying, Hazrat Ali's eyes filled with tears and he said: O Prophet of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace! The hypocrites are saying that you ﷺ have left me because you considered me a burden to you and considered me to be of low status, the Prophet ﷺ said sternly! That they are lying, I left you behind just because of these trusts, now you go back and inform my family and your family. After that, the Holy Prophet said to Hazrat Ali, "Are you not satisfied that you should be for me as Harun (peace be upon him) was for Moses (peace be upon him)?" But hearing that there will be no prophet after me, Hazrat Ali's grief and sadness disappeared and a smile spread on his lips, then he returned to Makkah.

Abd al Rahman bin Harith

Genealogy: Abd al-Rahman ibn Hisham ibn al-Mughira ibn Abdullah ibn Umar ibn Muzoum Yaqeez ibn Marah. His mother was Fatimah bint Al-Waleed bin Al-Mughaira bin Abdullah bin Umar bin Muzoum.

Abd al-Rahman's surname was Abu Muhammad, he was 10 years old at the time of the Prophet's death, his father Harith died in 18 Hijri in the plague of Ummawas, the country of Syria, his wife Fatima bint al-Waleed b. Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA) married Al-Mughira, who was the mother of Abd al-Rahman Ibn al-Harith.

Definition:
