I wanted to do some more looks with Sleek Sunset Eyeshadow palette but then it went under pile of other palettes and was forgotten. Today while cleaning up my drawer I found it and decided to do a look. You can check the previous look I created with same palette  HEREThis time I managed to click step by step shots of the look.

Steps

1. Applied NYX HD Eyeshadow Primer.
2. Applied Yellow Gold shade, second last in first row, to 3/4 of eyelid starting from the inner corner.
3. Added bright Orange, 3rd last first row to the crease, blend both the shades well.
4. Applied Burgundy color, next to black first row, on the outer corner, blended all the shades together.
5. Dabbed some matte black eye shadow to the outer V, blended everything.
6. Highlighted brow bone using a champagne gold color, 3rd last 2nd row.
7. Cleaned fall outs, filled eye brows (using matte black shade), lined my lower and upper lash lines, applied mascara.

Deborah Milano Shine Creator Lipstick 08 (Rs 625)

I like the packaging. Its different and reminds me of L’Oreal Color Riche Nutri shine lipstick packagings. Though this one feels bulky.

Shade – 08 is a beautiful fuchsia color. I couldn’t spot any shimmer or glitter there, thats a plus for me. Texture & Formula – I agree with Deborah Milano word by word. It has a gloss like finish, comfort of a lipstick and hydration of lip balm. I can feel the formula similar to Revlon Lip Butters, though this one doesn’t bleed or melt in the case/ tube. Formula is sheer but buildable. 08 can hide any lip discolouration or pigmentation pretty well.

If you are new to such bright shades then I would suggest you to start from this lipstick, since the formula tones down the intensity of the color. Yes you can build up the opacity once you get comfortable wearing it. Pigmentation – 08 is decently pigmented, due to its sheer texture it doesn’t show up that well on hand swatch but on lips it looks full coverage/ opaque lip color.

Staying Power – This is the area where such lustrous lipsticks fall behind. 08 stays on for 3+ hours without meals. It completely vanishes after heavy meal, but leaves a soft stain behind.

That’s how it looks on me

I have swatched similar shades below, from Left Revlon Balmstain Lovesick, L’Oreal Intense Fuchsia, Deborah Milano No 08

Lovesick has purple shimmers otherwise it would have looked identical to No 08.

Negatives

Price – Rs 625 tag is  bit high in my opinion. Though I didn’t mind spending it on such a pretty shade. But yes this can be a con for lots of buyers.

Staying power – I had expected it to stay on for at least 4-5 hours.

Overall Thoughts

A blessing for dry lips as the formula feels really hydrating and doesn’t leave lips flaky when wears off. It has buttery smooth texture and glides on lips smoothly. Though a better staying power would have made it a winner.

1. Foundation Brush

You can double it up as a blush brush, saves time and money !

3. Angled Liner Brush

Like I explained in my last post HERE, an angled brush is a must have, whether you want to apply gel liner , eye shadow as eye liner or fill up your eye brows, this one brush can come really handy. I have been using one from Ecotools which is super cheap and can be purchased from buyincoins.com or ebay.

4. Eyeshadow Brush

A fluffy eyeshadow brush to sweep the color on your eyes or if required can put some color in the crease for quick eye makeup. This is a must have brush if you are trying to build up a travel or a beginners kit, Rest you can add more brushes depending upon the need (You can look at the ones I have suggested in my last post HERE)

5. Lip Brush

Why a Lip Brush? Once you start using it you will realize how precise and neat the lip color looks on you. It helps in evenly distributing the color and blending it, preventing the color from bleeding or feathering out. It will be really useful while working with darker shades. You can try out cheaper options from Vega, Faces, Nyx or The brush that comes with Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner can also be a good option.

Any basic makeup set will have these 5 brushes whether you buy it from Vega , Bare Essentials, Sigma Makeup, Coastal Scents or bhcosmetics (These are the affordable options)

Deborah Milano Natural Effect Blush 05 (Rs 695)As per Deborah Milano

*Formulated to minimise the risk of allergies.Deborah Milano Natural Effect Blush comes in an oval shaped packaging with a transparent lid and a small brush. I would have loved a mirror + a better brush. Natural Blush range comprises of 6 shades.

Shade – No 05 is a berry pink shade. This is the only shade I liked, since some of them were too light and rest had shimmers. I believe this particular shade would suit medium to deep complexions very well. It reminds me of Lancome Rose Boise 03, but then Rose boise is much lighter.Texture & Formula – Shade 05 is a soft and finely milled. It has fine shimmers but they don’t show up once you have it on. The formula doesn’t feel powdery or chalky and blends into the skin instantly.

Pigmentation – 05 is packed with pigments. Swirl the brush lightly in the pan, don’t forget to tap off the excess before sweeping it your cheeks or you will end up with clown cheeks. The color pay off is really good and one swipe is all you need.Staying Power – It stays on for good 5+ hours and then starts fading. I was glad to see that it didn’t turn patchy or uneven.

Negatives

• The Brush applicator it comes with is of no use. Brush head is too small to pick and place product on cheeks.
• High Price.

Overall Thoughts

This is my first blush from Deborah Milano and I must say that it has really impressed me. The shade and the formula are pleasure to work with. It blends like a dream and stays on for good 5+ hours. I was surprised to see the pigmentation. Shade is just perfect for medium to dark complexions. Although a better brush and a little less price tag would have made it a must buy.

From this range I haven’t tried the Serum. I have been using rest of the products for almost a month now and guess its time to share my experience with you all.

Garnier Fructis Goodbye Damage Hair OilIn the ingredients list I can see 68% mineral & 30% Vegetable oil w/w.. So rest Olive Almond and coconut oil must be in the rest 2% of the composition.

How Do I use it

• Massage my hair before each wash.
• Use on the ends of hair after wash.

My Experience

Its a non-sticky oil and feels light. Its light texture makes it easy to apply and wash. It has light powdery fragrance which isn’t over powering. Using few drops after shower on the ends of hair helps them from getting frizzy or unmanageable.

I am not facing any kind of hair fall issues at this moment but have quite dry hair. I was expecting this oil to change my hair texture a bit, but even after using it for over 3 weeks its doesn’t seem to be doing much. My hair feel the same way as they were before using it. I can’t see them getting any softer or shinier.

It worked more as a leave in product for me than a nourishing pre wash massage oil.

Garnier Fructis Goodbye Damage Shampoo & Conditioner Garnier Fructis Goodbye Damage Shampoo & Conditioner comes in flip top packaging. The vibrant orange color gives them a summar-y Touch. They have light fruity scent which I absolutely love. My Experience

I find shampoo really gentle and it does not make my hair any drier or frizzy. This combo keeps my hair soft and manageable. I did not experience any hair fall or any other issue and also find them reasonably priced. The fruity fragrance lingers on for sometime.

Overall Thoughts

Garnier Fructis Goodbye Damage Range is worth giving a shot for their light texture and fruity scent, specially shampoo & conditioner. Though I haven’t seen the hair oil doing much for my dry hair, but yes I am really going to purchase shampoo and conditioner.
