Abductee Betty Hill Expected "Millions" For Alien Story

As I was researching a follow-up to my last story concerning Kathleen Marden, the niece of famous alien abductee Betty Hill, I stumbled across an obscure comment tucked away in the far recesses of the Internet that blows a major hole in the entire Betty and Barney Hill abduction case.

In a 2007 article titled First Lady of the Grays, writer Tom Lombardo recounts his 1974 interview with the alien abduction superstar Betty Hill. For the first time in over 30 years, Tom Lombardo reveals a comment Betty Hill made to him after the interview, once the tape recorder was switched off, that rocks the very foundation of the Ufology and abductee community.

What started as a simple background article about Betty Hill's niece, Kathleen Marden, and her latest revelations about her aunt's abduction many decades ago, might very well turn into yet another RealityUncovered fraud expose if this story leads in that direction. Based on Tom Lombardo's claim, it appears that the larger fraud-hunting guns of RU may be required. The strange thing about this revelation is that anyone hunting for information about Betty Hill might never have found it. For some reason the PDF article is stored away in the recesses of the web server of a Christian Bookstore named the Swedenborg Foundation. However, searching for the name "Kathleen Marden" eventually turned up this obscure PDF article, and what a discovery it turned into.

Panama Alien Creature

Every now and then, there is a sighting somewhere in the world of a strange creature that isn't easily immediately identified, and this was also the case with the Panama alien creature. The phrase, "Spirit Rover Lives," is quickly becoming the cheer of all Mars exploration enthusiasts across the world, as the Mars rover defies all expectations and continues to live on over twenty times longer than planners ever expected it to.

The Spirit Rover Lives On

The NASA land rover known as the Mars "Spirit" rover, landed on Mars on January 4, 2004. It was an exciting day for the team at NASA's Mars Exploration Rover, as the first of the two rovers (the other was the "Opportunity" rover) to touch down on Martian soil. This amazing piece of machinery spent four years exploring the surface of this distant planet, surviving dust storms and an extremely harsh climate and atmosphere.

The amazing robot spent the years since then exploring the geography, taking samples, and of course capturing images of the landscape. Part of its daily schedule included a "nap" that allowed time for NASA to transmit data from the rover's memory banks and so that the rover could conserve its power. The rover recharges it's power through solar panels. Unfortunately, dust storms have covered many of the panels with a layer of dust thick enough to reduce their efficiency, and the rover has been suffering from reduced power levels since the middle of 2007.

There's a lot going on in the world of RealityUncovered research. In fact, there's so much that I find myself getting around to updating this blog at 3 a.m., because it's the only time I've got available. There are amazing revelations coming through on all fronts. This year, there's a great deal of progress on a lead that ended up as a dead-end last year. With new sources and a few new members/colleagues who are contributing tremendously to RU research, progress is no longer stalled.

Expect an update within a few weeks - and prepare yourself for it. This one is far more groundbreaking than any of the rest.

TopSecret Upgrading to Domain Name Soon

This past month, we've had some exciting things taking place at RealityUncovered.com. After starting this blog and firing off a number of preliminary releases, we decided to launch the RU blog on the RealityUncovered domain.

Since then we've released an overview of Bruce Maccabee's interview of Ernie Kellerstrass in Hawk Tales. Following up with that, we've released a portion of our 2007 interview with Dale Graff himself, the man Kellerstrass claimed was the source of many of his claims which were eventually published in Bob Collin's book Exempt from Disclosure.

Wrapped among all of that information there's an underlying theme that goes to the core of the old MJ12 stories and documents, tracing all the way back to the 1970's.

Over the past few weeks, additional RealityUncovered releases reveal more about some of the history related to the resurgence of the Roswell myth, and most recently an exclusive and comprehensive analysis of the very early Aztec hoax. The response has been overwhelming, and we're pleased to have so many people following along with these investigations - there's much more to come.

As for the future of this blog, I've decided to continue publishing articles related to ancillary investigations that I've personally conducted along the way. To advance the purpose of this blog, I've established the domain TopSecretWriters.com, and will be populating that domain with new articles and news, as well as tools and resources for fellow investigators who are also wading through these dark and mysterious waters. I will post an update here when the new domain is ready. There's much more information to publish and discuss, so I look forward to seeing you there.

RealityUncovered Positioned to Take on the Roswell Myth

Have you ever seen "It's a Wonderful Life," where Mr. Potter captures significant cash meant for deposit from the Savings & Loan of George Bailey? Mr. Potter - the large, dark figure, symbolic of the corporate banks that were taking over America and driving out all of the private S&L institutions that offered folks more affordable savings. Mr. Potter was the all-powerful man in the suit who had all the money, was more conniving and manipulative, and he held all of the cards.

Well imagine what would have happened if the little guy, George Bailey, decided he'd had enough? What if George Bailey, instead of panicking and racing to the bridge in order to "off" himself, decided he would get to the bottom of where the money went? What if George Bailey uncovered the true culprit in the whole mess? My, how the audiences would have cheered to watch the unraveling of Mr. Potters cruel plan. To watch the large and arrogant man who so happily bathed in his elitism, get handcuffed and stuffed into a police cruiser. What a happy ending that would have been.

This week, an RU investigator who goes by the screen name "Access Denied," published a preliminary post that sets the stage for what is planned next - the unraveling of a long-running plot to use and manipulate the world of Ufology.

Bruce Maccabee's "Hawk Tales" Reveals the Background Story

The latest update at RealityUncovered.net titled "Bruce Maccabee Interviews Ernie 'Hawk' Kellerstrass" adds a bit more depth, as well as much more clarity, to the background story behind the RealityUncovered Serpo investigation and the MJ-12 background story. Revealed in this 1985 interview, and published by Bruce Maccabee in his article "Hawk Tales," is an intriguing connection between the private discussions that allegedly took place at Wright Air Force Base from 1978 through 1979, and the later stories that were distributed throughout Ufology during the 1980's, otherwise known as the "MJ12 Disclosures."

The parallels between the story told by Ernie's alleged source, Dale Graff, during those late-night discussions and the stories published in 1985 as "MJ-12" or "Project Aquarius" and even later as "Project Serpo," are amazing.

As described in the RU article, the reader should notice the following critical points in both:

(1) A secret book containing information about “EBE”, multiple alien races
(2) Early history from 10,000 years ago to the time of Christ
(3) Captured Alien Craft and Bodies/Prisoners
(4) Aliens as vegetarians
(5) Their star-system having a double-star, or double-sun.

There are many more details from the discussions originating in the 1970's and the stories that were made public in the 1980's - details that will be outlined in future updates. But what's most disturbing about the whole episode is that it seems wherever this specific material or "philosophy" surfaces, you can find at least three specific people: Kit Green, Hal Puthoff, and Rick Doty. Are there others? If so, who are they and what are their roles in the story? These are the questions that need to be answered once and for all. And finally, with this latest release from RU, new identities and their roles are more clearly revealed, and the plot is starting to become much more clear.

The UFO and PSI Connection at Wright AFB

In 1977, Kenneth Kress writes in his summary report titled, "Parapsychology in Intelligence: A Personal Review and Conclusions":

"In April of 1972, Targ met with CIA personnel from the Office of Strategic Intelligence (OSI) and discussed the subject of paranormal abilities. Targ revealed that he had contacts with people who purported to have seen and documented some Soviet investigations of psychokinesis. Films of Soviets moving inanimate objects by “mental powers” were made available to analysts from OSI. They, in turn, contacted personnel from the Office of Research and Development (ORD) and OTS. An ORD Project Officer then visited Targ who had recently joined the Stanford Research Institute (SRI). Targ proposed that some psychokinetic verification investigations could be done at SRI in conjunction with Puthoff."

Experimental Research and The Manipulation of CIA Scientists

As outlined earlier in this article, Puthoff had made an unusual and tremendous career change in 1971. Turning away from a promising and successful career in laser research, Puthoff instead turned to parapsychology and conducting experimental research on the "e-meter." Concidentially, or not, Kress describes fellow scientist Targ essentially seeking out funding from the CIA on behalf of his colleague back at SRI, Hal Puthoff.

Based on Kress' description, part of the overwhelming argument at the time, within Intelligence circles, was the fact that the Soviets were allegedly having enormous success within the areas of psychic experimental research. Apparently the information Targ provided OSI and ORD convinced a large enough circle of folks within the CIA that the SRI research was worth pursuing and funding.

That growing belief in the possible reality of psychic functioning within certain circles of the Intelligence community, coupled with rumblings that hinted that the Soviets were researching those capabilities, led directly to the start of government funding of Puthoff’s SRI work with Ingo Swann.

When the CIA started to realize that, despite throwing good money after bad, there would be no significant findings or results from the remote viewing experimental research, the CIA opted out. By this point, the Air Force had gotten involved and in 1978, Dale Graff [at Wright Air Force Base] authored DIA report DST-18105-202-78, entitled “Paraphysics R and D–Warsaw Pact U.", which ultimately served as one trigger for the transfer of experimental research tasking and funding from DoD to DIA. This marked the official start of the DIA remote viewing program.

An Inside Account of Covert Research Funding Decisions

Why were grown men - including Air Force, Army, and Navy officials, starting to believe in a paranormal phenomenon that had not even been shown worthy of concern? Why were intelligent, high-ranking government scientists and officers starting to discuss, and fear, a phenomenon that no one had successfully proven even existed?

One answer to that question comes from an insider account of some of those closed-door meetings.

In his account, Skip Atwater provides some insight regarding what documents were fueling fear and speculation at the time (in 1977 through 1980) regarding the perceived Soviet “threat”. In his book Captain of My Ship, Atwater refers to classified files that he was provided access to upon promotion within INSCOM:

“The third classified document from the safe drawer was called Project SCANATE. It told about classified US Government remote-viewing research, conducted mostly by the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) in Menlo Park, California. This convincing report demonstrated the ability of remote viewing surveillance to acquire and report information of interest to the intelligence community. ”

SRI’s “convincing report” also convinced Skip Atwater, who proceeded to spread that belief throughout the next few briefings he provided to his superiors.

Later in his book, Atwater describes a routine OPSEC support briefing for the US Army Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, where the Project Managers provide another glimpse of some of the fear that military folks who’d read SRI documents and publications like "Mind-Reach" were feeling because of those reports:

“Just before we all got up from the conference table, one of the Project Managers sitting directly across from me said, “I appreciate all that you have told us, but how are we supposed to protect ourselves from this?” He pulled a book out of his briefcase and slid it across the table to me. I reached out for the book, wondering what he could be asking about. It was MIND-REACH! As I held the book in my hand staring at the title, the Missile Command OPSEC Officer at the head of the table abruptly asked, 'What’s this all about?'

The Project Manager had surprised him and I could tell from the sound of his voice that he was befuddled. A hush fell over the room; I turned to address the OPSEC Officer’s question and spoke slowly and deliberately, the words coming from somewhere deep inside me, 'He is worried about the threat posed by remote viewing, a human perceptual ability being investigated under classified government contracts at the prestigious Stanford Research Institute. He wants to know what OPSEC measures we recommend to counter this threat. This subject is beyond the scope of this survey and today’s briefing. I will have to get back to you later on this, sir.'"

In his effort to determine the potential for the Soviets to exploit remote viewing, Atwater discovered another secret document that was, in effect, another product written by someone very close to Hal Puthoff and his SRI Remote Viewing experimental research. This report was Dale Graff’s [Wright AFB] “Paraphysics R&D-Warsaw Pact.”

“I learned from Mr. Salyer [Jim Salyer] that an Air Force civilian employee by the name of Dale Graff was the point of contact at Air Force Systems Command, Foreign Technology Division [Wright AFB]. Dale was the principle author of Paraphysics R&D-Warsaw Pact. Before leaving DIA, I ask Mr. Salyer how to get in touch with Dale and he provided the necessary contact information.”

Not only was Dale Graff the principle author of this paper, but he’d previously been working closely with Hal Puthoff since about 1975 at Wright AFB in order to determine whether this phenomenon was “real” and presented a clear and present danger to United States national security.

“I took a trip out to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio to meet Dale Graff. Dale was a soft-spoken, mid-level civilian employee whose intellect far exceeded his job assignment. He had been investigating remote viewing on his own for years.

[snip]

The presumption was that the KGB was investigating remote-viewing surveillance as a possible source of intelligence information. Coupling this hypothesis with the remote-viewing success in the government-funded SRI research, it looked to me as though I had found evidence to demonstrate the probable exploitation of remote viewing by hostile intelligence services.”

To put this into perspective – in many ways SRI was, intentionally or not, the driving force behind the fear, and funding related to U.S. government parapsychology experimental research. Had SRI determined, through a proper scientific study, that the phenomenon was not able to be reproduced in the lab – the CIA would have concluded very early on that the data coming from the Soviet Union was nothing more than a form of “Active Measures” - intended to mislead U.S. experimental research into squandering millions into R&D research. Instead, SRI’s alleged “successes” created a belief within the Intelligence community that the phenomenon was actually real - and if real, it could be used by the Soviets as a dangerous form of intelligence collection. This, in effect, led to further funding of SRI and its Remote Viewing research.

Wright Air Force Base and The Core Story

Events at Wright Air Force Base, FTD Division are not detailed in the thousands of pages of declassified FOIA "Stargate" files. Gary Bekkum, a researcher and webmaster of Starstream Research, who has been researching the released Stargate files for many years (and speculating profusely on all of the blanked out documents), points out the following regarding the research at Wright Air Force Base:

“Paul H. Smith, former DIA remote viewer, and author of the definitive history of the STAR GATE program, ‘Reading the Enemy's Mind,’ has pointed out that the USAF paraphysics programs are conspicuously absent from the declassified STAR GATE files.

At his web site, Paul Smith writes, ‘While I have focused mostly on what is here in the Star Gate documents, I found what isn’t here also to be interesting. What seems not to be here is any documentation from the Air Force program run by Dale Graff in the Foreign Technology Division at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, beginning in 1975. That program went on for several years and achieved a number of important things. In fact, Graff and his program were directly responsible for keeping the SRI-International remote viewing research effort going after the CIA abandoned it the first time.’”

It does appear, in fact, that much of the Air Force work in remote viewing at Wright Air Force Base still remains secret.

However, oddly, this is also the time and place where there is a very interesting intersection between two paranormal worlds – PSI and UFO’s. Bruce Maccabee recognized it when he was interfacing with Kit Green throughout the late 1970s, as described in this previous post. We can see it in the records above that detail the transition from DoD to DIA, with Dale Graff at the very center, and Hal Puthoff profiting along the way.

During this crucial time period, where much is unknown about the Wright AFB Air Force RV work from 1975 through 1979, Dale Graff served as civilian Air Force monitor for the work, and Dr. Anthony Joseph Cacioppo served as FTD Chief Scientist overseeing the program.

Oddly enough, Wright AFB from 1976 through 1979 also marks the location and date where some of the tallest tales about Aliens and UFO’s allegedly came from. One of the tallest tales involve very secret high level classified “committee” meetings attended by Dale Graff and Dr. Cacioppo.

In his 2007 article titled, "FTD is Not a Florist!" Captain Robert Collins details some of the background surrounding the mysterious Ernie Kellerstrass, where much of the information published in his book Exempt from Disclosure, comes from (Collins own research began at Wright AFB). In fact, Ernie was central to much of the information coming from Wright Air Force Base, and being released to the UFO community throughout the 1980's.

In his 2007 article, Collins writes:

"Even before being assigned to FTD, like so many others, I had heard all the rumors and stories about alien bodies being stored at Wright-Patterson AFB. Being curious, I started asking many questions, which led me to one Ernie Kellerstrass who had retired from the Air Force in 1979 as a Lieutenant Colonel with FTD being his last Air Force assignment. Ernie was a short pudgy type of person who always seemed to have a menacing, intimidating attitude typical of AF Colonels of the time, yet full of fear and paranoia when talking about UFOs, MJ-12 and aliens, always saying that someone else had told him those stories.

Ernie mentioned people like Dr. Anthony Joseph Cacioppo (Chief FTD Scientist at the time), Dale Graff (reassigned from FTD to the Defense Intelligence Agency [DIA] now retired) and others as having great in-depth knowledge of the UFO/alien subject. The prime reason according to Ernie was that both Cacioppo and Graff used to tag along with MJ-12 Team Members to various meetings."

There are two separate issues that deserve analysis. The first involves the Core Story, its development by a group and its purpose in being distributed to the public. The second involves looking beyond the "front" man, and identifying the core players behind the scenes.

Bruce Maccabee – A Case Study of a Regular Ufologist

Bruce Maccabee is an interesting figure within the history of Ufology. He unknowingly played a pivotal role in the distribution of Ufology’s “Core Story,” related to the MJ-12 storyline.

In the latest “Rotten to The Core” update at RealityUncovered.net, the folks at RealityUncovered.com have revealed another significant piece of the puzzle related to the earliest days of the CIA’s interest in Ufology. In particular, his interactions with the CIA during the late 1970’s provide insight into the thought process and activities of CIA officials who were also interested at the same time in the field of parapsychology, as evidenced in the later declassified “Stargate” documents.

Maccabee obtained a bachelor’s degree at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and then a Masters and a Doctorate in Physics at The American University in Washington, D.C. He’s certainly no fool. His reports on UFO sightings are filled with valuable and informative, yet somewhat dry, data and analysis of UFO events.

The story comes from Brazilian Ufologist Pepe Chaves, who deserves a medal of Valor and Honor for his relentless efforts to bring Truth and Honor back to a field that's overrun by charlatans and con-artists.

Pepe did a wonderful job with the article, but English is not his first language, so some of the passages are not as clear as they could have been. UFO Core Story Revealed By RealityUncovered.net

After several years of digging, fact-checking, collecting and analyzing data, and observing social networks within the UFO community - the hoax-busting researchers at RealityUncovered.net (which in fairness, I must disclose that I co-founded with Stephen Broadbent) is finally moving forward with releasing all information and data collected over the course of those years.

This data collection started with an analysis of a story called Serpo - a hoaxed story about a 1950's alien/human exchange program first released in 2005. Researchers quickly ascertained Rick Doty as the source, and from that point on the data and evidence gathered painted a disturbing picture of an elaborate scam stretching back several decades, and touching on age-old Ufology tales such as MJ12, Roswell, and more.

One central element to this several-year study is a "Core Story" created by three individual scientists, many years ago in the early 1980s, during a late-night philosophical discussion at a Denny's Restaurant. Those three scientists were Jacques Vallee, Christopher "Kit" Green, and Harold Puthoff.

Dan Smith - Who's That?

If you've been following UFOlogy for years, you've probably heard of the likes of Bruce Maccabee, J. Allen Hynek, or Jacques Vallee, but you've probably never heard of Mr. Dan Smith.

The story of this man actually starts back in the 1970s and 1980s when he started out as a researcher of crop circles. In a parallel story, around the same time, Bruce Maccabee was busy researching New Zealand UFO sightings and was subsequently contacted first by Dr. Christopher Green of the CIA, and then later by Dr. Ronald Pandolfi, Dr. Green's successor. The short story is that they each invited Maccabee to the CIA to provide some background, not only regarding his New Zealand research, but also regarding UFOlogy overall. Maccabee was also the UFOlogist who Pandolfi tasked with writing up a brief for Clinton's scientific advisor on the current state of UFOlogy.

Given these activities, it's little surprise to learn that Pandolfi also contacted crop circle researcher, Dan Smith, around the same time.

In celebration of NASA’s “From the Earth to the Moon” accomplishment 40 years ago, I would like to take a moment to reflect on this tremendous accomplishment of not only all of humanity, but of this amazing organization called “NASA.”

Help Celebrate From the Earth to the Moon

On Sunday, December 28, 2008, NASA celebrated its 40th anniversary of the Apollo 8 space mission that landed three brave men on the moon on December 21, 1968. Those three men were James Lovell, Frank Borman, and William Anders. Yes, the accomplishment the following year, in 1969, of the first man to walk on the moon was certainly significant, but when you consider the engineering and scientific accomplishment that this first NASA feat signified in 1968, it was nothing short of remarkable.

A Short History From the Earth to the Moon

In 1968, the U.S. was in the middle of a race with the Russians to make it to the moon. Apollo 8 was a mission to accomplish what had never been accomplished before. That is, to fly humans from the earth to the moon, orbit the moon, and then safely return home. Up until 1968, no single human had ever left the comfort of Earth's orbit. These three men - Anders, Lovell, and Borman - would be boldly going where no man had ever gone before.

This accomplishment deserves recognition because it reminds us that visionary thinking combined with critical thinking, engineering skills, and common sense can accomplish anything - even the unthinkable. Real science deserves recognition and commendation.

Yet there was this tremendous event - this overwhelming achievement and accomplishment that set all of those earthly problems into perspective. NASA had proven it's worth, and the engineers and scientists who'd planned and developed the mission details and technology were the unsung heros of 1968. Regardless of the issues of the time, it remains a year Americans should continue to celebrate. It was the year that America made it to the moon.

The Mad Science of Alien and UFO Myths

During World War II, the rumors of Nazi Germany developing paranormal capabilities of the mind eventually led to interest by the fledgling post-war CIA. In 1961, Chief of OTS (Office of Technical Service) contacted Stephen I. Abrams, head of Parapsychological Laboratory at Oxford University on the subject of ESP (Extra-sensory perception). Abrams responded with a report that ESP appeared to exist, but could neither be understood, or controlled.

From that point up to the early 1970’s, the Agency had very little interest in psychic phenomenon.

Enter Hal Puthoff.

According to author Jim Schnabel, Hal served at the NSA in the early 1960's after serving in the Navy (Served as an officer in the Navy from 1960-63 at Ft. Meade), and later stayed on as a civilian. (Remote Viewers: The Secret History of America's Psychic Spies, Dell, 1997, pg 97)

After his doctorate at Stanford University, Hal became a lecturer in the electrical engineering department, and supervised Ph.D. candidates in EE and applied physics. In 1969, at the age of thirty-three, he obtained a patent on a tunable Raman (infrared) laser that he had invented. In addition, he co-authored a textbook entitled Fundamentals of Quantum Electronics, which became a standard volume in physics.

According to Ingo Swann, in his online book Biomindsuperpowers, he writes:

“The field of laser physics was on a great upswing by then, and by all accounts, as many later told me, Hal Puthoff was destined for laser engineering limelight, a field in which his scientific reputation had already achieved luminosity. A short while earlier in New York, Cleve Backster had advised me that Puthoff was a genius. Others I later met in the Silicon Valley area said so, too, and I accepted this as a matter of fact, albeit somewhat intimidated by being in the near proximity of a genius.. How and why it was that Hal's interests changed from laser physics to biofield measurements was never clear to me, and so I'll not be able to articulate much in this regard. We did discuss the matter, but somehow whatever we discussed has faded.”

Ingo’s point above is an important one. What could have prompted a genius physicist, on a stellar upward track of accomplishment and success within the field of laser physics, to switch to a field most contemporary physicists would, even today, consider career suicide? Why, between 1971-1972, did he suddenly divert his entire career path from the very successful field of laser physics, to "biofield measurements", and parapsychology?

JASON Physicists Discredit Baker and HFGW

Recent news demands a follow-up to the previous article covering Robert Baker, his company Gravwave and it's collaboration with foreign scientists, as well as the support that Hal Puthoff offered him in helping to host one of the HFGW conferences.

The Jason Group Analyzes Baker's HFGW Proposals

In October of 2008, the JASON group of the MITRE Corporation released the results of a several-month study covering Robert Baker's alleged HFGW technology. The report outlined the reason for the study as follows (emphasis is mine):

"The JASON study was motivated by proposals to the US government by a group centered around the company GravWave R LLC, the CEO of which is Dr. Robert M.L. Baker, Jr. An important proposal is a concept for a detector of HFGW, by Baker and Dr. Fangyu Li of Chongqing University, China; see [10, 11, 12] and references cited therein."

In other words the group (the members of which remained unnamed) presented proposals to the U.S. government regarding, most likely, potential funding of the research. As shown in the previous update - after failing to obtain funding from the U.S. government, the group apparently thought that that foreign investors may be more willing and able.

Neuroscience and National Security

On August 13^th, 2008, the National Academy of Sciences issued a press release titled “National Security Intelligence Organizations Should Monitor Advances in Cognitive Neuroscience Research.”

National Security and Breakthroughs in "Brain Science"

In part, the press release noted that,
according to a new report issued by the National Research Council, advances in specific fields of neuroscience could have implications for U.S. national security, and should be closely monitored by the intelligence community.

In the new NRC report, the committee developed and utilized a specific methodology, developed by neuroscience experts, to determine what areas of neuroscience should be of most interest to the intelligence community due to potential impact to U.S. national security.

The areas noted of primary relevance to U.S. intelligence included:

Detecting and measuring neurophysiological factors that provide insight into “psychological states and intentions of individuals.”
New drugs and technologies with the capability of altering “human physical or cognitive abilities.”
Brain imaging technological advances
Advanced technologies that could lead to systems that can “mimic functions of the human brain,” such as the ability to organize complex data.

The NRC report stressed that the U.S. intelligence community should be prepared and capable of monitoring such advancements by making sure intelligence analysts are trained and qualified within the fields of advanced science and technology, and by collaborating more closely with academic and scientific communities within these fields of research.

Why Should U.S. Intelligence Communities Care about Neuroscience?

It might not seem readily apparent to many why seemingly innocuous fields of research as artificial intelligence or brain imaging advances would have an impact on national security.

Dr. Christopher Green is the chair of the NRC committee who authored this 2008 report (Committee on Military and Intelligence Methodology for Emergent Neurophysiological and Cognitive/Neural Science Research in the Next Two Decades.)

Just over a month ago, on the online roundtable discussion at the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists on October 29, 2008, (http://www.thebulletin.org/web-edition/roundtables/the-military-application-of-neuroscience-research#rt4743) titled “The military application of neuroscience research” Kit Green provides more insight into his belief regarding emergent science and technologies when he writes:

“But I've also learned that all of us underestimate the pace of global change in neuroscience and the way that applications are emerging before the underlying science is understood.

In general, the impact has been felt most acutely in legal and medical circles, not on the battlefield, and have thus engaged nongovernmental organizations, such as international sports authorities, and pseudo-experts as neuro-witnesses."

Earlier, in August 11, 2008, he wrote:

"First, I stand by my initial belief that the pace of discovery in the neurosciences is unlikely to accelerate faster than it is today and will not happen preferentially in the West. Second, we should not assume that the military applications of this research can be influenced by incremental additional financial support.

[snip]

If governments or scientists were to try to develop a system to pre-screen neuroscientific cognitive manipulators, which would be HIPAA approved and tested, and robust in its core science, success would be as likely as it was with mines and cluster-bombs--meaning not likely. And if we did have such success, our enemies of the future would not care.”

These quotes help to explain why a former CIA neuroscientist with high levels of security clearances, would choose to emigrate to China in order to conduct research within a more “flexible” environment.

A source within the current IC sent the following comment in June of 2008:

“I was told that Kit is still receiving consider funds from a foreign ‘donor’ to conduct his ‘research.’”

No elaboration was provided, but from this comment, we can extract two things. First, this IC source has little respect for Kit’s foreign research (notice the quotes around the word). Secondly, this isn’t the first time that it’s been implied that Kit and Hal both are constantly in search of unconventional funding sources for “nontraditional” scientific research (note the last HFGW post). Whether or not that is true is another matter – but a good indication or confirmation of the truth of the statement is whether or not patterns from the past reflect it as accurate.

It should be noted, in fairness to Dr. Green, that he (Dr. Green) did make a point via email, last year, that he felt certain persons within the IC had reason to belittle or attack what he considers to be his own valid research. This possibility will be examined as well.

Investigating the Truth Behind UFO Roswell and MJ12

When we pointed out that Rick had a long history of distributing clearly fabricated UFO Roswell information to the Ufology community, Kit responded with a long litany of influential people he has known within government, intelligence, and military circles that have vouched for Rick Doty.

“I Consider Him Like a Son…”

This same statement, which he repeated often and to a number of people who were asking him the same questions, typically went as follows (the following comes from one of our phone conversations):

“With that said, I have spoken to 2 Directors of the CIA, 10 years apart, who I totally respect, who say 'trust Rick Doty'. One of them said to me 'I consider him like a son to me.' And that he
is the 'only one I could constantly trust'.”

During the entire three year stretch of time that we’ve been researching Rick’s activities related to the Serpo and the earlier UFO Roswell related MJ12 releases, Kit was the only person, with a respectable reputation, who would ever make such a claim about anyone advising him that one could “trust” Rick Doty.

US is Warned of China Cyber Spying

Throughout the history of China, spying against the U.S. has been a primary military and intelligence objective, and the people of China are actively involved. According to a recent BBC news report, an "influential Washington congressional panel" reports that China has been accessing "sensitive US databases."

Are the People of China Using the Internet to Spy?

According to the report, the panel warns that China is accessing sensitive information from US computer networks and that China is utilizing "cyber-warfare" capabilities against U.S. interests.
The allegations against China are that the Chinese are searching for U.S. secrets in government databases, but more disturbingly, they are also searching for industrial secrets within U.S. corporations as well. This issue speaks highly to the importance that U.S. industrial facilities should place on trade secrets and technological research, particular related to military and government contracts. The report strongly indicates that the Internet is now the venue of choice for Chinese espionage.

Are the Chinese Using Aliens and UFO Communities to Spy?

A common thread among all of my own research over the past few years within the dark alleys of UFOlogy is an underlying interest by the U.S. government in the field of UFOlogy only so far as the potential for espionage and spying is concerned. Alien technology is a topic that far too many grown men within the Paranormal research communities discuss with a straight face. But far more disturbing is a pattern where these researchers, all U.S. citizens and in some cases former Intelligence or Military officers, are interfacing closely with Chinese nationals in order to collaborate on fringe technology research. Case in point - High Frequency Gravity Waves.

This man is Robert Baker. We'll get to his bio in a second. But first we need to understand the concept of High Frequency Gravitational Waves. Assuming that most readers are not trained in Physics, the following definition should suffice. A "Gravitational Wave" is what Quantum physicists define as a fluctuation in space-time as the wave propagates through space. These are typically waves that are discussed in terms of star systems, and energies that stars give off which actually travel through planets. They can not be directly detected using any sort of instruments, but they have been detected indirectly in Physics - in particular in measurements related to planetary systems in space.

Fuzzy Physics

As we've seen throughout the history of scientific principles that are poorly understood, both borderline con-artist scientists and counter-intelligence specialists step in. Examples of Einsteinian theories are usually tossed around, and lots of theoretical physics is used as basis to attract a great deal of funding.

Gravwave.com defines itself on its website as "a Company dedicated to the research, development, and manufacture of products involving the generation, detection, and application of High-Frequency Gravitational Waves or "HFGWs," utilizing patented, proprietary technology."

It was founded in 2000 by Robert Baker, and the organization now lists the following top collaborators:

R. Clive Woods - Senior Scientific Investigator
Eric Davis - Senior Scientific Investigator
Andrew Beckwith - Scientific Investigator
Gary V. Stephenson - Scientific Investigator
Fangyu Li - Senior Scientific Advisor, China
Zhenyun Fang - Senior Scientific Advisor, China

Dr. Baker lists on his CV, among other things:

2-year active duty in the Air Force working on various classified aerospace projects.
On the U.S. Army's Academic Review Committee on Gravitational Research from 2001 to 2003.
Advisory Professor Chongqing University, China in 2004.
Project Manager or Principle Investigator on several projects for the U.S. Navy, NASA, and USAF during his years as Director of the Lockheed Astrodynamic Research Center.

Yes, this is the same individual who is now rubbing elbows with the Chinese in order to develop what many classify as a technologythat could provide tremendous military and diplomatic advantage (if it were real.)

As Baker works in kahoots with the Chinese to help develop what some are calling the next generation of communications technology that could virtually change the world, we are receiving reports that congressional committees warn that China is interested in uncovering technological and industrial U.S. secrets. Confused?

Well let's clear it up and pave the way for the next blog entry. The NIAC would not fund Baker's research. The AFOSR would not fund Baker's research. The NSF would not fund Baker's research. The Chinese, however, are throwing lots of money into HFGW research, and GravWave is there to sweep up those funds.

Guess who else is there?

I'll give you two clues.

The guy sitting near the head of the table in this photo is Dr. Hal Puthoff, who was also Co-Chair of the 2007 HFGW Workshop.

In the next photo, the guy sitting to Baker's left is our good friend Dr. Kit Green. Dr. Green, by the way, recently moved to China, with his wife, to pursue collaborative research with a Chinese University.

Think this isn't serious business? The following is a quote from a 2007 USA Today article on Chinese technology espionage:

Since 2001, the number of FBI investigations of suspected Chinese economic espionage cases increased 12%. "The basis for the whole program is money. People (in the USA) are looking to make a buck. China has money to spend," says Carlson.

China's technology-targeting differs from classic Cold War-era spying, which pitted American intelligence agents against their KGB counterparts. Along with using intelligence professionals, China seeks to capitalize on some of the thousands of Chinese and Chinese-American engineers, researchers, scientists and students who fill key positions in U.S. industry and academia, say current and former U.S. counterintelligence officials.

"This is not some 'yellow peril' witch hunt. … The counterintelligence environment in terms of China right now is just white-hot," says James Mulvenon, director of the Center for Intelligence Research and Analysis, a Washington, D.C., think tank that advises U.S. intelligence agencies.

If you still think this is about Aliens and UFOs, you're mistaken. This is much more serious.

Does the Government Spy On UFOlogists?

So you've picked up a new hobby, you're fascinated by UFOs and Alien abductions, and in the course of your research you start to wonder, Does the Government Spy on UFOlogists?

Answering the Question: Does the U.S. Spy on Ufologists?

There are very few names known within the mainstream world (people who have little-to-no interest in things like alien abductions and UFO sightings) like the famous Dr. Jacques Vallee.

Dr. Vallee is an astrophysicist and French astronomer who's fame skyrocketed when the classic film Close Encounters of the Third Kind was released in 1977 in which he worked as a scientific advisor to the film. He also has a Ph.D. in computer science from Northwestern, and lives and works in California. He was also heavily involved in Project Blue Book research researchers, and that background went a long way to developing his insight and expertise in the field. He has published numerous books on the subject matter, including the following examples (all highly recommended):

An Expert Answers The Question

Jacques Vallee, the one man who would likely have a great deal of insight to the question whether or not the government is monitoring UFO hobbyists and researchers, answered the question in the 1990s in his interview with Green Egg, an Occult magazine. In the interview, Vallee states:

Another aspect of your question is that for a long time the UFOlogists have been blind to the fact that the phenomenon can be manipulated. In particular it can be manipulated by the government, by various intelligence groups or by different cults with their own agenda. I published over ten years ago in Messengers of Deception my conclusion that many of the UFO organizations had been infiltrated. That book got me in a lot of trouble with my friends in the UFO community who refused to look at that particular problem.

Since then, of course, this observation has been vindicated. One government informant has even come forward to reveal that he, in fact, had been recruited to befriend various UFOlogists and to write psychological profiles of them. Every UFO organization is monitored by government informers.

Consider the quote above carefully as we move forward with our examination of communications with former Intelligence officers who were involved with UFOlogists and paranormal/parapsychology researchers through the years. If what Vallee reports is true, that one government informant admitted he'd been recruited to get to know and collaborate with UFOlogists, and generate psychological profiles on them, then the next question we must ask is...why?

Vallee provides us with a few more clues when he continues:

On the board of the National Investigation Committee on Aerial Phenomena, which was one of the major organizations in this country in the ’50s and ’60s, were three people who were among the founders of psychological warfare. They were people with strong ties to the government and intelligence community. I’m not saying it’s necessarily illegal or wrong, but it should be recognized.

Psychological warfare is a hot issue in every military conflict - and methods to confuse and conflict the mind of the enemy are always being developed and researched by U.S. intelligence agencies.

Vallee goes on to stress this fact by reminding us that the 1953 Robertson Panel even recommended that UFO organizations should be watched and infiltrated, and according to Vallee, they were and still are.

This is a critical concept for us to consider and keep in mind moving forward.

The Bored CIA Analyst

Ultimately, clues to answers regarding alien sightings and UFO alien experiences can be provided by what the government and the Air Force, in particular, actually knows regarding these events. Unfortunately, when we examine CIA involvement and the involvement of other government agences in the field of UFO alien sights from the 1970s through the 1980s, we discover the same old names that were listed by Bill Moore in his famous "Aviary" list of alleged government "insiders" and non-government stooges.

So then, how do we seperate the disinformation from the information? Is any of it information at all? For years, countless UFO investigators report that the majority of their involvement with these "insiders" involves a process where the alleged intelligence officer goes about extracting information from the researcher, not the other way around. According to my own recent experiences, this is most definitely the case. However, the question remains, why and when did this former CIA officer meet with Doty, a person who'd been causing trouble by creating fabricated UFO reports since the 1970s or earlier? The answer to why may lie in the earlier story surrounding this fascinating and brilliant mind and personality.

The U.S. Air Force, The C.I.A. and Aliens

What do aliens, ghosts, and the U.S. government have in common? Answer: People mistakenly assume that all three have more intelligence than they do.

In this post, we're going to go cover a phenomenon that many researchers often uncover after they've been involved in the field of the paranormal (be it ghosts, aliens, psychic abilities, or whatever) for over two or three years. The government is involved. Just not in the way that you may think.

Ever wonder why ex-military folks are always so interested in UFOs and aliens? I mean, take this guy for example:

This is former Air Force Sergeant Richard C. Doty. Served a short stint in Germany, got himself into some sort of hot water over there, got shipped back to the United States, and while serving in his reduced capacity at Kirtland Air Force base, was central in driving a guy named Bennewitz insane.

Who was Bennewitz? Just some guy who lived and worked near the base, and had developed an avid interest in UFOs. Bennewitz made the mistake of developing an electrical device that could pick up radio signals from the nearby air base where classified flights were taking place. In 1981, Bennewitz wrote a report called "Project Beta." Doty, at the time an Air Force staff member, descended upon Bennewitz and inflicted the worst known psychological warfare tactics upon a civilian in the Air Force's entire history. The saga ended with Bennewitz in a mental institution. As far as anyone will admit, Sergeant Rick Doty eventually retired without incident. Although word has it (depending on who you talk to) that he did not have the greatest reputation within the Air Force. With that said, one of his closest friends, Dr. Christopher "Kit" Green, reports that he was told by a number of high ranking intelligence officials that Rick Doty could be trusted. Confused yet?
