It's A Republic, Not A Democracy or Democratic Socialist Experiment

The Founders in deciding what form of government was to be established, made the decision by examining what type of governments were being used around the globe and those throughout history of civilization. At the time the predominant government type was the monarchy. England had established a monarchy like that of the classic Roman republic where there was one head of government with a body of representatives of the people; being a monarchy with a parliament instead of a senate. Later England would remove the monarchy with a prime minister that was chosen by vote by the people and parliament became more than just an advisory committee of a king or queen. But before that occurred, the American colonists, who wanted better, more direct, representation sent King George a Declaration of Independence in defiance to a monarchy that refused to listen to the people.

Those men who gathered on behalf of each of the thirteen colonies put together a continental congress that would be a temporary government that would be the government for the united colonies that had begun a revolution to procure freedom and independence from a monarchical tyrant 3,000 miles across the sea.

Once that independence was established and the revolution was won, the Founders gathered together in Philadelphia to establish a government and a constitution that would bind the colonies-turned-states into one nation with a central government with certain rights for the individual state governments. The Founders concluded that while democracy had its merits, as well as a republic, neither form would last if the head of state would be a monarch. The government was formed with three branches: executive, legislative, and judiciary – all of which were separated, but act by regulations established as one central, federal government that required vote of representatives and senators of each state government by and for the People.

Aristotle, the great Greek philosopher, stated:

Democracy is when the indigent, and not the men of property, are the rulers.

Democracy was created and established by the Greeks in the city-state of Athens in the 5^th century BC that also included the surrounding territory of Attica. It was a direct democracy, where citizens voted directly on legislation and executive bills. The longest lasting and successful leader of the Athenian democracy was Pericles. After his death, democracy gave way to oligarchy and restored when the Peloponnesian War ended. After being restored it was modified by Eucleides. It eventually evolved into an imperialist democracy that had been established by evolving into a government ruled by the mob. In other words, leaders would gain power by promising if they voted for him he would provide them with benefits.

As Winston Churchill wrote:

The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.

Churchill also stated:

It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried.

Earlier, Karl Marx wrote that:

Democracy is the road to socialism.

A Frenchman, Alexis de Tocqueville, who became fascinated with the new type of government that the Americans had developed, wisely observed:

Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word, equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.

Indeed, this was the major reason why the republic, more specifically, a constitutional republic, was chosen as the type of government to be established for what our nation that became the United States.

John Adams, one of the primary founders of our nation, wrote:

Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.

Benjamin Franklin, another major character in the establishment of our nation, stated when asked what form of government did the Continental Congress of 1787 decide when leaving Independence Hall:

A Republic, if you can keep it.

Americans established by the early 1800s two political parties each organized by the establishment of a political party platform. The original political party system consisted of the Whig Party and the Second Party System was the Democratic Party, calling themselves Democrats. The first member of the Democratic Party was Andrew Jackson.

The Whig Party was transformed into the Republican Party by the time Abraham Lincoln campaigned for office in 1860 and won the national election as President of the United States. The party was given the acronym nickname of “GOP” (Grand Old Party) and is one of the world's oldest political parties that still exists.

In the beginning, the major difference between the two parties was the Democratic Party based its platform on democracy, and the GOP based its platform upon the republic that was established by the Founders. Another major difference that led to a Civil War was the Democratic Party favored slavery, while Republicans did not. Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican president. Originally, the GOP was the anti-slavery party that consisted of northern White and African Americans (after an amendment certified their right to vote), businessmen, factory workers, and northern farmers; while the Democrats were predominantly in the South, pro-slavery and agricultural folks of that region.

After the Restoration period after the Civil War and again after Civil Rights movement took hold, the GOP expanded throughout the South as socially conservative. By then the two-party system was established and while Democrats and Republicans opposed each other, both were determined there would be no third party and sought to hinder any independent candidates.

The Democratic Party began its turn toward socialist idealism in the 1920s when Woodrow Wilson was president beginning with social engineering policies and using unconstitutional government authority to impose moral ideology in the form of the Prohibition Act. Wilson was the leader of the Progressive Movement. He established, with the help of Democrat control of Congress, the Federal Reserve Act, created by a secretive group of banking tycoons that began at a meeting at Jekyll Island. G. President Wilson reintroduced the income tax system that was established during the Civil War to pay for war costs via the Revenue Act of 1913. Labor unions were becoming established during this period and the Wilson administration began the practice of the Democratic Party's support and cooperation of trade unions. Wilson, with the help of a Democrat Congress, signed the Espionage Act of 1917 and the Sedition Act of 1918, both suppressing any anti-war protests and movements concerning the ongoing war in Europe. Wilson endorsed racial segregation, but at the same time worked to ratify the right for women to vote via a constitutional amendment. He promoted the failed League of Nations, precursor of the United Nations, that also is failing and corrupted, after the Treaty of Versailles that ended World War I.

Introduction of socialism was firmly established when Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) came to be president who holds the record of having four successive terms, from 1933 to 1945.

At the time, the world was in economic depression. His socialist plan called the New Deal, was popular with Americans because of their desperation in what would become known as the Great Depression. FDR realigned American politics and the Democrat Party as “liberals” instead of “progressives” as Wilson did. FDR united labor unions, created big-city political machines (Chicago political machine being the most infamous and longest lasting), and firmly established democratic socialism as the Democratic Party's agenda. The Social Security was created for people who reached a certain age (which continues to be extended) could receive a monthly retirement benefit. Before Social Security, if a senior citizen did not have any other retirement benefit, would end up depending upon the family unit or perish in poverty. It was based upon a certain amount being withdrawn from salaries and wages in order to accumulate enough to receive a monthly stipend at retirement age. It is not part of the welfare system that Democrats consistently push for, but a forced pension system that was established as a 'trust' fund, meaning that those funds were to be used for nothing else but social security payouts. Democrats have blamed the lack of funds in the 'trust' system on the 'baby boomer' population because, they say, there are too many reaching retirement age. But the truth is that over the decades, Congress has dipped into that 'trust' fund to pay for other welfare programs and national debt problems. Like the Constitution, it has been abused and misused, departing from the original idea of its establishment. It was, indirectly, and as the program progressed, directly, a means to provide identifying numbers to citizens and keep track of the populace in concert with the unconstitional income tax system. It also became a means of identification fraud, which has helped the Democrat's move to welcome illegal immigrants into the fold of their political entity. It became, like too many federal programs, a means to control the People. Today, citizens are given a social security number at birth, and since the 1970s, even military use their social security number as their military identifying number system.
While Democrats are the primary guilty party, the Republicans have a share on that blame as well. Just as the Democrats allowed themselves to progress into socialism, using democracy as the Athenians did, which ultimately became rule by the mob, instead of the rule of law. Democrats choose to bend the rules whenever it fits their agenda, while Republicans blemish the name of their party by going along with the flow.

FDR and democracy:

Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a President and senators and congressmen and government officials, but the voters of this country.

But the Democrat Party, since the time of FDR, has not realized that rule of the mob doesn't work because politicians use emotion and convincing citizens that government can overseer the lives of citizens better than they can for themselves. Thus was established a welfare state environment that counters free enterprise, property rights and other liberties established by the Founders that, especially John Adams, had warned about a democratic form of government, instead of a constitutional republic.

FDR stated:

Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is education.

While description of our form of government as a democracy was not new, it was firmly established by FDR and his fellow Democrats. Labor unions had been established in the United States through immigration of the Marxist ideology of Europe. Labor/trade unions of the United States had been infiltrated by organized crime lords because they saw the potential of creating wealth via legal means. Politicians were bought with political donations, and while, certain unions contribute to the GOP, the unions represent the largest cumulative donors of the Democratic Party – and continues today. The unions have worked their way into the government employee sector, which is unconstitutional because that is the job of Congress along with overseeing the handling of funds. With the Democratic and help of some Republicans, the limitations of government prescribed by the Constitution has been circumvented, including allowing a private entity (unions) to dictate government employee policies instead of the executive and legislative branches. This is especially dangerous since unions spend large sums of money funding politicians that will guarantee its form of monopoly.
While politicians point blame elsewhere, trade unions have played a big part in chasing automakers overseas, as leading economists have pointed out. It is because trade unions and its members do not care about the bottomline and what makes a business successful. In effect, trade unions, after initially helping to improve worker environment and salaries/wages meeting inflationary factors; it has outlived its usefulness becoming a powerful political tool and like a parasite ends up killing its host. Another aspect is that unions, like over-regulated, without limitations, government; it hurts the economy by raising prices of products and services to the consumer.

Democratic socialists learned from Marxism that by becoming the authority and power over educational institutions, it can push their ideology and further progress agenda by indoctrination of a nation's youth. Social engineering and other methods are being used by democratic progressives to create a population that does not and refuses to think outside the box of what is prescribed by those operating our federal government. This and other situations has come about because We the People did not ensure that those we elect preserve and maintain the constitutional republic, rule of law; rather than rule of mob that democracy progresses to, then socialism, and finally oligarchy. Sadly, our nation, its government with the blessing of a majority of its people, is on the path that the Founders warned the People about.

This treatise is about a subject that would take a book to cover it in detail, indeed, some have been written. General consensus is that history and political science are boring subjects; however, both are critical in disseminating knowledge, and both are intertwined.

Education, like the family unit, is the foundation of any nation; indeed, the very survival of civilization. Both have been compromised by an elite within the populace that has put their personal agenda above the rule of law and relying upon emotion overriding reason, indoctrinated untruths that are unquestioned, and a people who, as JFK stated in his first State of the Union address, want what their government can give them instead of relying upon themselves and insisting upon those that govern rule by limitations prescribed by the Constitution.

Serious reformation of our government is in order to return it to the state of being a constitutional republic; but first, We the People, must first reform our society that will generate thinking out of the box, the rule of law, and most importantly self-educating (reeducating) and insist that government abide by limitations and delegate the responsibly of overseeing education to the state and local government that is closer and answers to the People – not unions, special interest, or socialists now occupying the federal (and some state) governments.

Ted Cruz has been spotlighted in public view with his crusade against business-as-usual 'Washington Cartel'. He is a constitutionalist and spoke out against the US Supreme Court legislating from the bench regarding ObamaCare and Same-Sex Marriage issues. Since he uses the Constitution as a guideline, he has stated that marriage issues should not be addressed at federal level, but at state level. He has opposed the growing bureaucracy of the federal government and the sad state our foreign affairs are in.

Megyn Kelly asked legitimate questions to Donald Trump on the FOX debate program because of his 180-degree change on certain issues and his recent support of Hillary Clinton and close association with Bill Clinton, to include the scandal-ridden Clinton Foundation. Too many Americans have taken it to be an offense, instead of an opportunity to look closer into Trump's record and associations. Trump has taken credit that is not true. We already have an egotistical maniac in the White House; beware that voters who look more into celebrity status rather than serious issues on the table and campaign diatribe.

Disturbing is that he speaks out against China, but his business dealings shows he has made money from China. This serious conflict of interests of a man who has a myriad of Trump enterprises in various businesses, voters should be reluctant. It is true that he saying what Americans want to hear, but infamous dictators have done the same thing, preying upon the people's desperation and believing false hopes and professed changes that America has suffered under the Obama administration. Be wary of the stage magician. There is plenty of time to carefully research and examine what is important: character, consistency, integrity, and a record/bio that matches campaign diatribe.

Political Obsession and the Price of Apathy

Obsession: (1) a state in which someone thinks about someone or something constantly or frequency especially in a way that is not normal. (2) someone or something that a person thinks about constantly or frequently. (3) an activity that someone is very interested in or spends a lot of time doing.

Richard Nixonwas the 37^th President of the United States and whose legacy will forever be the Watergate Scandal, code name Operation Deep Throat that occurred in 1972. Five men were caught breaking into the Democratic National Headquarters located at the Watergate business complex. When investigation went into processing, Nixon and his advisors chose to cover-up the incident. Few will remember that President Nixon made profound statements like:

The people's right to change what does not work is one of the greatest principles of our system of government.

The US Congress and political elements of the executive branch over the decades have been guilty of continuing the same policies and ideologies despite proof that they do not work or achieve results expected or professed.

The gist of this problem is based on the refusal to use the articles and amendments of the US Constitution as the foundation for all laws and regulations in the United States; primarily because those that operate our government have ignored and downplayed the important principles of the check-and-balance system as well as the limitations prescribed in the articles of the Constitution so meticulously and wisely by the architects and founders of our nation. Bureaucrats, effectively political prostitutes, have continued to point the blame everywhere but where the problematic sources have originated.

For example: blaming economical problems on corporate greed, blaming high prices of petroleum products on the oil companies, and blaming the 'Baby Boomer' generation for the depleting “Trust” fund of Social Security, to name a few.

Despots and dictators become powerful leaders because of a prime reason: obsession. History reveals such a phenomenon with infamous characters like Mao of China, Hitler of Nazi Germany, military command of the Imperial Japanese who used the power and veneration of the Japanese Emperor to fulfill their obsession of tyranny and domination. Nixon was also obsessed, having failed more than once to become president. Whether he gave the order to put in place Operation Deep Throat or not, the guilt that was to lead to his impeachment was caused by his obsession and not being honest to the People that voted him into office.

Today we have a president who has been fabricated by political handlers of a political entity, his associations and his personal background were covered up to ensure that the political cartel would be successful in getting him elected as president. BH Obama also has obsessions that feeds his egotistical personality, narcissism, and lives a life that has been fabricated and filled with lies. Surely someone could blame the continued corruption of the political entity called the Democrat(ic) Party; but the gist of the problematic phenomenon lies upon the People who elected him and those that elect candidates for the wrong reasons, whether it is the president or a member of Congress. It has been difficult to choose candidates as the decades rolled by since FDR because the media has also become corrupted and developed the power of controlling information instead of disseminating it objectively with the principle of being the 'eyes and ears' of the people. Instead, it has been the mouthpiece for political propaganda and corrupt policies.

Stalin, another infamous character of history, signed a pact with Hitler to carve up Europe and a proposed communist and national socialist treaty which Hitler never intended to keep. FDR and reluctantly Churchill decided that the enemy of our enemy should be our friend, and so the triple alliance was formed to destroy the strong and resourceful Nazi regime in its mad determination to control Europe and North Africa; leaving the Eastern world and Polynesia to the control of the Imperial Japanese.

Nazi Germany was difficult to defeat because of its technological advancement of German scientists and engineers as well as the German pride in efficiency who had the best equipped military in the world.

Imperial Japanese were difficult to defeat because of their political-religious tradition of emperor worship and the desire to expand Japan that was limited to an island nation.

Up to most recent history, wars have been fought against a nation with combatants who wore significant uniforms. Generally it was easy to distinguish who the enemy was until the United States got involved with the conflict between North and South Vietnam under the policy to not allow communism to expand any further than it already had. Yet, Stalin was allowed to divide defeated Germany and control the states of Eastern Europe that became satellite states of the Soviet Union. The enlarged network of spies and infiltrators allowed communism to take hold in the Americas – including the United States, thanks to the Democrat Party who refused to believe that infiltration of communists had reached the political and social infrastructure of the United States. It would have stained the constructed image of their political demagogue, Franklin D. Roosevelt, a man who wrongfully interned Americans of Japanese descent into camps. Society turned its head because of their anger over the Pearl Harbor attack by the Imperial Japanese naval air force.

The biggest threat today is the corruption of our political system that infiltrated communist and socialist ideology has developed with insane political ideology like “political correctness”.

Continued is the policy in the federal government not to alter solutions to problematic policies and ideology, making only temporary repairs and never seeing that they are only slightly postponing the inevitable internal destruction. There is a political obsession in the United States on two fronts: those that believe that socialism is better than the constitutional republic that the Founders created and those who believe that Islamic fascism will go away if we learn to understand them and be tolerant of a theocratic system that is intolerant and are obsessed with a global theocracy domination whose doctrine belongs in the 7^th century and not the 21^st century.

Albert Einstein stated:

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

And …

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

The Clarion Project is a nonprofit organization founded in 2006 located in Washington, DC and dedicated to:

...exposing the dangers of Islamic extremism while providing a platform for the voices of moderation and promoting grassroots activism.

The Clarion Project is structured like the 'think tanks' – Heritage Foundation, Cato Institute, Claremont Institute, Heartland Institute, Hoover Institution, Ludwig von Mises Institute, Pew Research Center, Hudson Institute, and Tax Foundation to name a few if the most notable.

The Clarion Project has produced some compelling and informative film documentaries, the most notable being: Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West, TheThird Jihad, and Iranium. I have posted “Obsession” at the end of this article, but suggest you view the other two as well, available via YouTube. The only problem I have had with the Clarion Project is that they backed John McCain in the presidential election. Despite being a POW himself, he thwarted the attempt to find MIA veterans allegedly still held in Vietnam (just as FDR did when there was compelling evidence that Stalin ordered that Americans in freed German POW camps were taken to Russia and kept there), his involvement in scandals (Keating Five most prominent) and his non-Republican political platform policies that include voting against important funding for VA and depreciation of veteran benefits guaranteed by Congress.

These films have been dubbed by The Huffington Post, a leftist Internet media entity, as “right-wing, terror propaganda”. Attitudes such as that combined with the political correctness mentality that has infiltrated our education system and now our military infrastructure, defers from the truth – we have been at war since September 11, 2001 and our leadership has not officially declared it or have treated it as so. The war was declared upon the United States (Great Britain, Israel, and the agenda of world domination) even before 9/11; but our leadership as well as other nations have ignored the warnings first made by the Reagan administration.

Islamic fascism has infiltrated our nation and cultural infrastructure via organizations like the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and is allowed to continue despite proof of their support of terrorist and Islamic fascist activities, here and abroad.

FDR administration ushered in the infiltration of communism that Woodrow Wilson did with socialism. It was an introduction to the United States a movement to replace the constitutional republic with a government where bureaucracy grows, constitutional limitations are ignored, and government control increased to the point that it created the problems that have escalated over the decades with intrusive and restrictive regulations that do nothing but increase the control of government over the people.

While George W. Bush began an effort to combat Islamic fascism, dubbed the “War Against Terrorism” - the program still did not address the root of the problem or recognize that Islamic fascists had infiltrated our political and social infrastructure, and is headed towards what Europeans are experiencing in the name of tolerance and political correctness as well as the fallout of accepting socialism as a form of government. History shows that socialism and communism do not work for the professed benefit of the people; the effect is the opposite.

Here is the film “Obsession” and I recommend viewing the other two films in order to get a realistic and factual background of a movement that caused the Crusades in the medieval era and now rears its head in the 20^th and 21^st century whose doctrine was established in the 7^th century …

If We the People want to save our nation, to see real reformation take place, we must accept the fact that we are at war with a dangerous and fanatical enemy who is threatening advancement has become a global concern and will most likely lead to another world war.

We spend funding and military resources to defend the border between North and South Korea - but our own border remains porous while illegal invaders stream into the United States undermining our national security, economy, and increasing criminal elements and crime rates. It is time to perform a thorough and logical reformation, starting with reestablishing the constitutional republic with a limited government and reformed foreign policy that demonstrate strength in resolve and limiting our involvement in the affairs of other nations unless proved necessary.

The government cannot be reformed until society reforms itself, for it is society, voters, who are ultimately responsible for ensuring that constitutionalists are elected and not political corrupt prostitutes.

Knowledge is power and it is why corrupt governments want control of knowledge, which in turn controls the people. A transparent government is a government that can be trusted.

Natural Law: With Freedom Comes Responsibility And Acceptance of Our Choices

Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776:

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. ...

That important document that initiated an event and series of events that formed the foundation of the United States of America from thirteen colonies is unique in the historical documents contrived by humans. The decision to create such a document led to five people appointed to produce a draft. On that committee was Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Roger Sherman, Robert Livingston, and Thomas Jefferson.

The men on that committee gave the task of writing a draft to Thomas Jefferson, who while was a man of few words when it came to public meetings, but who had a reputation of being able to put down in words what needed to be said. He worked on the draft from June 11^th to June 28^th in 1776; but before he presented his draft to the Continental Congress, he showed it to John Adams and Benjamin Franklin with whom he had developed a close, personal relationship. They inserted their revisions and then on July 1, 1776, the draft was presented to Congress. It was approved and on July 4^th 1776, it was signed by John Hancock and 55 other men at Independence Hall (then known as the Pennsylvania State House), all representing the united colonies who had decided that a formal declaration must be made to the sovereign and parliament of England.

An important segment of that document that rocked the English speaking world, was the reference to the law of nature. That concept was devised by Thomas Jefferson, who used it in a legal argument in 1770:

Under the law of nature, all men are born free, every one comes into the world with a right to his own person, which includes the liberty of moving and using it at his own will. This is what is called personal liberty, and is given him by the Author of nature, because necessary for his own sustenance.

The basic concept of natural law is consisted of freedom of choice. Natural law in itself is derived from the Creator, which in the Book of Genesis it was described that Adam and Eve was afforded the responsibility of freedom of choice and they chose to defy a warning or mandate. Freedom of choice, like liberty/freedom itself requires a responsibility to accept the consequence of choices.

In a letter to John Manners in 1817, Jefferson wrote:

If God has made it a law in the nature of man to pursue his own happiness, He has left him free in the choice of place as well as mode, and we may safely call on the whole body of English jurists to produce the map on which nature has traced for each individual the geographical line which she forbids him to cross in pursuit of happiness.

What that means is that in the pursuit of happiness a line must be drawn so as to not interfere with another person or persons pursuit of happiness. In that, it goes beyond natural law into the realm of common sense. Jefferson was more clear on this matter when in a letter to Jean Nicholas Demeunier:

Being myself a warm zealot for the attainment and enjoyment by all mankind of as much liberty as each may exercise without injury to the equal liberty of his fellow citizens, I have lamented that ...the endeavors to obtain this should have been attended with the effusion of so much blood.

Jefferson alluded to this in a letter to Archibald Stuart in 1791:

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

In a recent US Supreme Court decision concerning the argument of the legality of same-sex marriage, which should not have been a concern or argument by the federal government, but relegated to the state governments, it was not only a decision that unlawfully bypassed the legislative branch; but also defiance of natural law – a law that is international and an historical tradition. For some, it is a religious doctrine and a taboo provided by the Creator.

That SCOTUS decision was not a landmark victory for three percent of the population, but further testament in how far our nation, its people, and those whom they choose to operate their government have fallen away from the purity of that declaration in July of 1776 and the wisdom of the architects of the US Constitution and its amendments called the Bill of Rights.

We have allowed three percent of the population to counter the will and the rights of a much larger majority. For decades it has been drilled into our society through the education system polluted by those who believe socialism is better than the system devised by the Founders, that has identified our government system as a democracy. If that were true, the three percent that won a social victory via an unlawful decision by the US Supreme Court should never have taken place because the hallmark of democracy is that the majority rules. The truth is that the Founders, especially John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison denounced democracy; embracing instead a constitutional republic based upon rule of law, law of the land. That law of the land is the US Constitution. They derived such a determination by careful study of history, learning from historical mistakes and the reality of what a monarchical rule is truly like.

Those that are zealous in establishing a 'second revolution' are delusional if they have in mind an uprising against a growing tyranny within the present-day governmental system. History shows that the American War of Independence was unique, not only because it was won against the strongest military in the world at the time, but its outcome. History shows us that revolutions have always ended up in chaos, anarchy and trading one tyrant for another. France tried revolution against its monarchy and demonstrated this truth when they traded the monarchy of King Louis for the tyranny of a dictator turned emperor by the name of Napoleon. The same applied to the transfer of the rule of the Czar in Russia to the rule of the Lenin/Stalin dictatorship who committed more cruel acts and tyranny than the history of monarchy in Russia.

What is needed in the United States is an earnest drive to return to what the Founders and architects of our Constitution intended and completed. This can only happen if the People, American society, awakens to the fact that a moral people with family and national values are the ones that will make the necessary change – not the politicians whose majority in control at this time is, to say the least, corrupted. In politics, fingers are pointed when something goes wrong more than viable ideas to solve the problems. The substance of the blame must fall upon the people who allowed a corrupt political organization create a regime by using the weakness of the people and with false hopes of a Utopia that can never exist because of human nature, not because of natural law. It is why in one level or degree, there will always be wars; despite efforts to stave off such negativity and destruction. We must always strive to avoid war, but when it comes we must always be determined to win. Avoiding war through isolation is delusional, and history has shown us the folly of such an ideology.

When the Founders created our nation it was a unique historical event and they hoped that other nations would look upon our system as favorable and adopt it for themselves. The United States was once a role model, despite its wrongful retention of slavery and not allowing lawful citizens to vote regardless of race or gender. While our nation did not always present itself as a good role model, its Constitution and the Bill of Rights were testament of what any nation could achieve, and any people could adopt and protect.

Our nation is failing because of a myriad of deceptions and fallacies, and that failure is not the fault of our Constitution; but in reality it is occurring because we have fallen away from its purpose and that it is the foundation for all laws and regulations of the government - “For the People and By the People”.

If you want to see a clear and rightful reformation to solve the problematic state of our Union, then you must reeducate yourself and understand the Constitution and the motivation and purpose that the Founders used to devise such a great document. The Constitution is only good if it is followed and its wisdom protected generation after generation.

It is a natural progression of technological advancement that changes occur, but that does not mean we should throw away tried-and-proven traditions and concepts, like the Constitution, just because it has been around for over two centuries.

To Reform Our Government, We Must Reform Ourselves

Forty-million Americans are on food stamps, 26 million more than in 2007 before Obama was elected. The cost to government is $77 million, and FBI Reports show there is a huge increase on abuse of the system; along with abuse of other programs like Medicare by medical practitioners. Presently there are 70 programs that provide cash, food, housing, medical care, and social services to low-income persons. The total cost is almost $1 trillion.

Daily Caller:

Adjusted for inflation, welfare spending is 13 times higher today than it was in 1965, when Washington launched the War on Poverty [President Lyndon Johnson]. Yet the proportion of people living in poverty remains essentially unchanged.

The Democrat Party is the founder of the 'War on Poverty' and the irony is that their political agenda and platform (progressive socialism) has been a continued war against poverty and against the productive part of society that provides employment they call the 'wealthy'. Clearly a socialist ideology.

History and statistics show that poverty declined by 12% for ten years and rose 15% when the Democrats declared 'War on Poverty'. The Founders recognized that there was a need, an obligation to help people help themselves when tragedy caused people to fall into economic ruin or became too ill to work.

John Locke wrote:

The law of nature teaches not only self-preservation but also preservation of others, when one's own preservation comes into competition.

In the early days of the American Republic, local governments assumed that responsibility, not the federal, central government. Indeed, the federal government paid attention to the limitations prescribed in the articles of the Constitution.

But the Founders also saw the danger of being overly generous when it comes to welfare policy. Once the people got a taste of what government, those that operated it, had to offer – their behavior became increasingly irresponsible to the point that welfare was not just for emergency situations but a right.

The TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) encourages people to get back on track and become self-reliant; while the other 69 social programs encourage irresponsible behavior.

People have been caught selling their food share cards on Facebook and then falsely reporting cards to be lost. Lottery winners who won millions of dollars continued to use food share cards, as well as prison inmates.

Benjamin Franklin noticed while living in Europe in the 1760s that:

...in different countries ...the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.

Thomas Jefferson wrote:

They are not to do anything they please to provide for the general welfare, but only to lay taxes for that purpose. To consider the latter phrase not as describing the purpose of the first, but as giving a distinct and independent power to do any act they please which may be good for the Union, would render all the preceding and subsequent enumerations of power completely useless.

Society began to make it a habit, in choosing candidates for office, to elect government officials who promised to provide more 'free stuff'. The reality is that nothing in life is free – it costs somebody something.

Edmund Burke:

Among a people generally corrupt liberty cannot long exist.

I realize that the economy and the unemployment rate determine how many citizens must resort to social programs, but the system has been plagued with abuse and outright fraud – which elevates the total cost even more.

The Democrat Party began establishing that our form of government was a democracy when Woodrow Wilson was president -incorporated into school textbooks. That was not what the Founding architects of our government system had in mind.

Alexander Fraser Tytler, a Scottish lawyer and professor (1747-1813), wrote:

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy.

Thomas Jefferson in a letter to Joseph Milligan in 1816:

To take from one, because it is thought that his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, “the guarantee to every one of a free exercise of his industry, and the fruits acquired by it.” If the overgrown wealth of an individual be deemed dangerous to the State, the best corrective is the law of equal inheritance to all in equal degree; and the better, as this enforces a law of nature, while extra taxation violates it. [Writings of Thomas Jefferson, 14:466]

Thomas Jefferson wrote and believed that a government that took from the wealthy and distributed it to the poor was not only wrong, but criminal. The Democrat Party in its zeal to adopt socialism has been redistributing wealth and income for decades, the most obvious being the income tax system that Congress has refused to dissolve and replace it with a consumption flat-rate tax. In that way, everyone pays the same tax rate and those that can afford to purchase more will automatically pay more in taxes. Frankly, this was a tax system that the Founders generally approved. According to their writings, the Founders would have shot down the idea of income tax, especially being forced from wages and salaries before people had the opportunity to decide how to spend or invest it.

Milton Friedman had a method to solve that problem. Government should not ever be in the business of using taxpayer funding for charity, that is where private organizations like the Salvation Army and churches play a part. Neighbors in a community can also be of help, if they can.

In this, our society has degraded by allowing our government, those we elect, to ignore constitutional law and the intent of the Founders.

The welfare system is not only inefficient, but selective. Congress will approve funding for other nations and its people, but will make cuts of benefits for veterans who served their country by congressional approval. The government will cut its own national defense measures and armed forces capabilities, but continue to arm and support other nations.

We are protecting the border between North and South Korea, while our southern border is unsecured and allowing the invasion of illegal aliens in the millions. The only reason why those we elect are not taking our national security is strictly political. The same goes for the amnesty of illegal alien invader lawbreakers – it is a quest for more votes of a given political party. Those same invaders are provided the same welfare benefits afforded legal citizens, which makes it more costly and more insane. Politicians claim that it is humane, but reality and facts show it is insane and a path towards self-destruction.

Many Americans are speaking out and saying that our government requires reform, and they are correct; but they also must realize that our society must also reform itself in order for that to become a reality.

"Facts Are Stubborn Things" - America Needs To Get A Grip

American liberal-progressives and Europeans believe that Nazism is “right-wing” - but in reality it is a form of socialism.

Marxist Georg Lukacs (Hungary) believed that society was unable to embrace Marxism because the people were blinded by Western culture, and particularly from Christianity. Thus by diluting and refuting religious morality, the Marxist, and the government it creates, removes morality and replaces it with the values only professed by government and expected of the people; replacing religious worship with loyalty and worship of the government and its leadership.

Marxism wormed its way into the American infrastructure as far back as the 1930s, a time when the Nazi, communist Russia, and Imperial Japan was gathering its strength for war and conquest. Political correctness was launched in the 1960s when Marxist and socialist organizations encouraged public outrage and demonstrations against the Vietnam War; a tool of communism in order to get the American leadership out of Vietnam to make way for communist control. Americans like Jane Fonda fell for this and is why she was tricked into being a communist poster girl for their propaganda. To this day she is still called Hanoi Jane by veterans of Vietnam (and their descendents). Problem is she has not changed her views and her loyalty to socialism, despite practicing the very capitalism that she hails to despise.

Political Correctness began as a social annoyance and has escalated into the 'Hate Crime' mentality; which has inserted the “power of the state” into private society. It is approaching a crescendo not where unacceptable political thoughts will be criminalized. The Gay Rights folks are using this as their tool for dominating over the rights, liberties, and ideology of the majority of Americans. Like racism, they are also using guilt as a tool; professing rights that trample on other citizens rights. Yet, progressives who call themselves liberals, who are loyal to the so-called Democrat(ic) Party – are defiling their claim of promotion of democracy. Democracy decrees that the majority rule – so how can a small minority (3% or less) of the population tell the minority what is what? Hypocrisy is the trademark of liberal-progressive-socialists who hail the Democratic Socialist Party (Democrat Party) as the political organization to be in power. Well, at least those that are its leadership. Government is only as good as those that run it and as much integrity, values, and morality that the majority of the populace possess.

Since Woodrow Wilson, the government, those who operate it, have insisted our form of government is a democracy; when it was never intended to be anything other than a republic, a constitutional republic. No mention was made in the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States. It is mentioned in the Federalist Papers, but only negatively like the quote above.

American society had grown tolerant of homosexuals and during the Clinton administration, the military's policy was: “Don't ask, Don't tell”. However, that was not good enough, despite that even though Christians and their churches rely on the scriptures of the New Testament for their behavior; many had some level of tolerance. Now that the minority of homosexuals have decided that they must be a part of civil rights, they assume that private sexual acts between two adults must be, by law, approved by everyone regardless of their beliefs and their rights under the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States – the first amendment of the Bill of Rights. It is not a racial issue, it is an issue that involves sexual acts between people that is supposed to be private. It was upon that consensus that society began to be tolerant toward the concept. Whether or not there is mention in the Bible that such acts are considered ungodly and an abomination makes no difference to people with no set of values that require limitation. Progressives do not honor limitation, that is why they are comfortable with a government that has surpassed its constitutional limitations, encroaching upon rights of the People, sometimes even applauding the declination of rights and liberties prescribed by the Founders. Indeed, it has come to be that progressives who call themselves “liberal” have come to blame the Constitution for the crumbling of our republic and the woes they themselves have bestowed upon the nation via the government; all the while invoking the same part of the Constitution that puts in writing rights and liberties hailed as natural and provided by the Creator.

Another plank of Marxism, a tool of government, is controlling the educational system; which eventually provides propaganda for a totalitarian and statist government. The welfare state is designed where more and more of the populace becomes dependent upon government dole, which in reality is provided, for the most part, by the productive sector of society. As Margaret Thatcher (who partnered with Ronald Reagan against growth of communism) stated:

Does any of this pertain to present crisis in the United States? Of course, it has been gradually reaching to this point since the 1920s beginning with President Wilson and escalating during the FDR administration and now the Obama administration.

Too many who see this problem are quick to say that reform will never happen. Well, of course not, with that attitude. It will take We the People to reform ourselves (become self educated until the system teaches all children the truth about the Founders, our Constitution and its amendments, and then demand that only constitutionalists need apply to campaign for office.

The corrupted politicians and their political club is certainly not going to earnestly begin reformation on their own – it will take citizens to finally make a stand and demand that the media no longer be the mouthpiece for political clubs and their corruption, as well as examine the political and personal record of each candidate. Character counts as much as political experience. How a candidate voted in congressional action is important just as whether the candidates record shows that his/her words match his/her actions. It is all available on the Internet – the bastion of freedom that is now in peril because of the corrupted federal government via the Obama administration.

Just myself alone is nothing, just as you alone with just a few friends is nothing – but the People united together instead of bickering amongst themselves (“divide and conquer” applies here) WILL make a difference. It just depends if you truly appreciate the rights and liberties prescribed by the Founders in writing and their insistence that the government be limited, as also prescribed in the Constitution.

Now, for the liberal progressive media to not report this fact at a time when’re witnessing the financial collapse of Greece — and soon could be Portugal, Italy and Spain — is unconscionable. This is indeed a masterful manipulation of existing truth, which we must not be afraid to castigate as Goebbelian and Orwellian. And I’ve no fear in doing so. -- Allen West

What If 20 Million Illegal Aliens Left US?

I, Tina Griego, journalist for the Denver Rocky Mountain News wrote a column titled, "Mexican Visitor's Lament."[2005]
I interviewed Mexican journalist Evangelina Hernandez while visiting Denver last week. Hernandez said, "Illegal aliens pay rent, buy groceries, buy clothes. What happens to your country's economy if 20 million people go away?"
Hmmm, I thought, what would happen?
So I did my due diligence, buried my nose as a reporter into the FACTS I found below.
It's a good question... it deserves an honest answer. Over 80% of Americans demand secured borders and illegal migration stopped. But what would happen if all 20 million or more vacated America? The answers I found may surprise you!

In California, if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico, it would leave an extra $10.2 billion to spend on overloaded school systems, bankrupt hospitals and overrun prisons. It would leave highways cleaner, safer and less congested. Everyone could understand one another as English became the dominant language again.
In Colorado, 500,000 illegal migrants, plus their 300,000 kids and grandchilds would move back "home," mostly to Mexico. That would save Colorado an estimated $2 billion (other experts say $7 billion) annually in taxes that pay for schooling, medical, social-services and incarceration costs. It means 12,000 gang members would vanish out of Denver alone.
Colorado would save more than $20 million in prison costs, and the terror that those 7,300 alien criminals set upon local citizens. Denver Officer Don Young and hundreds of Colorado victims would not have suffered death, accidents, rapes and other crimes by illegals.
Denver Public Schools would not suffer a 67% dropout/flunk rate because of thousands of illegal alien students speaking 41 different languages. At least 200,000 vehicles would vanish from our gridlocked cities in Colorado. Denver's 4% unem ployment rate would vanish as our working poor would gain jobs at a living wage.
In Florida, 1.5 million illegals would return the Sunshine State back to America, the rule of law, and English.
In Chicago, Illinois, 2.1 million illegals would free up hospitals, schools, prisons and highways for a safer, cleaner and more crime-free experience.
If 20 million illegal aliens returned 'home,' the U.S. Economy would return to the rule of law. Employers would hire legal American citizens at a living wage. Everyone would pay their fair share of taxes because they wouldn't be working off the books. That would result in an additional $401 billion in IRS income taxes collected annually, and an equal amount for local, state and city coffers.
No more push '1' for Spanish or '2' for English. No more confusion in American schools that now must contend with over 100 languages that degrade the educational system for American kids. Our overcrowded schools would lose more than two million illegal alien kids at a cost of billions in ESL and free breakfasts and lunches.
We would lose 500,000 illegal criminal alien inmates at a cost of more than $1.6 billion annually. That includes 15,000 MS-13 gang members who distribute $130 billion in drugs annually would vacate our country.
In cities like L.A., 20,000 members of the '18th Street Gang' would vanish from our nation. No more Mexican forgery gangs for ID theft from Americans! No more foreign rapists and child molesters!
Losing more than 20 million people would clear up our crowded highways and gridlock. Cleaner air and less drinking and driving American deaths by illegal aliens!
America's economy is drained. Taxpayers are harmed. Employers get rich. Over $80 billion annually wouldn't return to the aliens' home countries by cash transfers. Illegal migrants earned half that money untaxed, which further drains America 's economy which currently suffers an $8.7 trillion debt. $8.7 trillion debt!!!
At least 400,000 anchor babies would not be born in our country, costing us $109 billion per year per cycle. At least 86 hospitals in California, Georgia and Florida would still be operating instead of being bankrupt out of existence because illegals pay nothing via the EMTOLA Act. Americans wouldn't suffer thousands of TB and hepatitis cases rampant in our country - brought in by illegals unscreened at our borders.
Our cities would see 20 million less people driving, polluting and grid locking our cities. It would also put the 'progressives' on the horns of a dilemma; illegal aliens and their families cause 11% of our greenhouse gases.
Over one million of Mexico's poorest citizens now live inside and along our border from Brownsville, Texas, to San Diego, California, in what the New York Times called, 'colonias' or new neighborhoods. Trouble is, those living areas resemble Bombay and Calcutta where grinding poverty, filth, diseases, drugs, crimes, no sanitation and worse. They live without sewage, clean water, streets, roads, electricity, or any kind of sanitation.
The New York Times reported them to be America's new 'Third World' inside our own country. Within 20 years, at their current growth rate, they expect 20 million residents of those colonials. (I've seen them personally in Texas and Arizona; it's sickening beyond anything you can imagine.)
By enforcing our laws, we could repatriate them back to Mexico. We should invite 20 million aliens to go home, fix their own countries and/or make a better life in Mexico. We already invite a million people into our country legally annually, more than all other countries combined. We cannot and must not allow anarchy at our borders, more anarchy within our borders and growing lawlessness at every level in our nation.
It's time to stand up for our country, our culture, our civilization and our way of life.

In 2010, New York state prisons held more than 4,000 inmates from 10 Latin American and Caribbean nations, and fewer than 150 inmates from all of Western Europe (most of whom were probably Muslims).
There are already more Hispanics than whites in two states, New Mexico and California, and Hispanics are the largest minority group in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

It is not the number of bills presented and passed that counts for congressional members, it is the quality and the content that counts. There are important issues to address, some important issues shelved because Congress does not want to deal with it. A good example is a decade-old bill (HR 25) that calls for repealing the 16th Amendment, replacing the income tax with a flat consumption tax that can only be changed by 2/3 congressional vote that would rid Americans of the overbearing, unconstitutional tyrannical agency called the "IRS".

It would establish a system that would make it very difficult to cheat (without getting caught), and while reducing the tax percentage and making it a fair and equal taxation; it would also produce more tax revenue removing scam entities like the Clinton Foundation from tax exemption and taxing foreign tourists who purchase items in the United States (which income tax does not do). An established poverty level will afford some Americans a break, as well as exempting food and the purchase of a home from being under the national sales tax system.

It has been difficult to get Congress to repeal the 16th Amendment, that should never have passed after a US Supreme Court decision in 1911 that established it as an unconstitutional direct tax, especially when FDR made it an automatic deduction from payroll checks. The reason is that politicians do not like to reduce their control, and via the IRS, it has established control over what Americans earn. Every ten years a consensus is taken, mandated by constitutional law, and that is when the need to know exact income is necessary - not every year with time consuming and expensive paperwork.

Congress needs to stop wasting time and spend more of it fixing problems that members over the decades have caused. It is time they start earning the salary and benefits they receive. It is also time to remove the 'retirement' benefits, which no elected official should ever receive - and, like the executive office, institute term limits. Congress should practice looking at bills in the long-term, not just the short-term.

This cannot be done unless We the People insist upon true reformation and bring the concept of the Founders' government, the constitutional republic, back into the system that has become diluted and corrupted. In addition, the media's control over elections and its bias and manipulative news reporting needs to be curtailed and ended. Media should be held responsible for objective and truthful reporting as the eyes and ears of the People, not the mouthpiece of corrupt politicians. Freedom of the Press does not mean the freedom to skewer information, produce bias reports, and report flat-out lies.

The major networks are quickly using the Amtrak tragedy for their own ideological push. It has already been determined that the train wreck was caused by a speed twice that which is allowed at the particular point where the wreck occurred in Pennsylvania; yet the media is calling for a focus upon infrastructure and more funding. The engine of the train that wrecked is only one year old, but the media insists because of lack of funding the national rail system is antiquated.

The prime concern of the media is to provide sensationalism in their news reporting, attracting the public, making money. It is not a sin to want to be successful in anything that anyone does for a career, but the gist of journalism should always be objectivity - being the eyes and ears of the public, not the mouthpiece for politicians or propaganda for their own political ideology.
The usefulness of the media is overplayed, because of how it has evolved. Part of the problem is that people depend too much on the media, especially when choosing a candidate to vote for because they end up choosing what the media wants you to choose. During elections they ignore the independent politicians, and when not being ignored, provide as much negative reporting as possible - even if they must make things up or rely on circumstantial evidence. This means that the media has gained control over the election process. It also means that the media, like the federal government, requires some serious reformation; but this cannot be done without the enlightenment of the public that is contrary to what the government controlled educational curriculum provides. It means that the public must use the vast network of information on the Internet in order to find a complete and truthful background on candidates campaigning for your vote. However, thanks to the Obama administration, the Internet is going to be under the thumb of federal control, meaning that like the educational institutions will end up only informing what they want the people to know, not what is truth.
We the People have to return the power back to the people, away from the corrupted government and its media minion.

Bill Whittle has a talent of explaining the background and hypocrisy of the socialist-communist mentality, here in the United States called "Progressives" (incorrectly called "liberals") who are more loyal to the so-called Democratic Party than their nation and its unique Constitution. The party should really rename their political club to "Democratic Socialist Party" - it fits their agenda, more truthful and representative. Some Democrats have "come out of the closet" and have admitted to their socialist ideology - like Bernie Sanders [Independent Socialist, running as a Democrat] who plans to run against Hillary Clinton in the 2016 primaries.

More promises broken concerning Obamacare – ER visits have been rising. It costs $500 just to walk in to an emergency room. Read about it at Washington Times and view this video:

Part of the reason for the surge of visits to emergency room was that Obamacare is “wiping out the primary care doctor industry”. Another reason is that according to a 2013 survey, 60% of doctors are retiring because of Obamacare.

Congress Exempts Itself as Small Business on Obamacare

Senators of Congress believe they are a "small business" operation?
Congress should NEVER exempt itself from any law they impose upon the American people. If they do not like it for themselves - make sure it does not pass or repeal it.
The AHA, called "Obamacare" should never have passed by a responsible Congress. Members of the federal government receive perks, benefits, and get away with exemptions that you and I cannot make. Income tax has been a sore upon the American people and those who most violate or seek loopholes are members of the government who refuses to repeal the 16th Amendment which would get rid of the IRS or at least reduce it to a small auditing agency instead of an arm of the American Gestapo.
Make your voice heard and make sure your representative and senator is towing the constitutional line.

Collectorz - DVD Database Review

I purchased the Collectorz video database so I could keep track of my DVDs, organize them, and easily find movies to select for viewing. The program worked great and cost me $30.
Each time there was an upgrade, it would cost me at least $10, no problem. Now upgrades cost $49.95.
No problem, I said, if I don't want or need an upgrade, no problem. I am happy with the version I have because it does what I want it to do. When I purchased the original program I bought the CD version to keep in software library in case I purchased a new computer or had a crash.
Unfortunately, Collectorz decided that it would force people to upgrade to their latest version by putting a block on it so you cannot use it to add new DVDs; as I found out. You can use the database with what is already in the library, but when adding a new one to your collection - sorry, the pop-up says, you must upgrade to use it.
Too bad because Collectorz not only offers a database program for movies, but also books, games, comics, and music.
I guess some folks get too greedy.
