Next interior trend bug is the butterfly again. I have made an unique cushion, this is
short off-white velvet on one side that I have made textile decoupage on and then hand embroidery.

On the other cushion side I have handpainted a thick cotton canvas and then made freestyle embroidery
with various silk threads and also metallic threads for lustre and used various stitches.

Here you can see both sides. Unique and also for sale! Measures 500 by 400 millimeters.

I also made this cushion recently for a friend in Josef Franks Ekvatorn (Equator) linen fabric.
650 by 400 millimeters.

Jag har målat eget tyg och skapar unika och personifierade kuddar som jag freestyle broderar på. Ovan är en kudde jag gjorde till min gudson och hans 25 års dag. 50 x 50 cm broderad med moulinégarn och silkestrådar. Min inspiration var kretskort och storstadsliv. Blev mycket uppskattat.

I have painted my own fabric this Summer and create unique personalized cushions that I do freestyle embroidery on. I made this for my Godson´s 25th birthday, it measures 500 x 500 millimeters and is embroidered with DMC yarn and various silk yarns and threads. My inspiration was circuit boards and urban living. Much appreciated!

WEDDING GIFT WRAPPING

Presentinslagning för en bröllopsgåva som jag hjälpte till med förra månaden. Det var en gåva som innehöll något från porslinsserien Berså av Stig Lindberg som brudparet samlar på. Därav designen där jag klippte ut gröna blad och trädde med en mix av olika garner och ett ljust grått sammetsband och klädde en presentkartong med en mix av papper, washitejp och tryckt cellofan.

Gift wrapping for a wedding gift I helped assemble last month. The gift was from the classic "Berså" porcelain series by Swedish designer Stig Lindberg. I cut out green thick paper leaves as the design on the gift and dressed a box with paper, cellofan and wash tape and tied different silk yarns and velvet ribbon.

ROSA PERLE IN LOTUS VASE

Vilken glädje att få en sån stor bukett med Rosenvial Lathyrus latifolius bara så där oväntat. Jag placerade dem i min vackra Lotus vas från Oscar & Clothilde och det blev som en tjock 38 cm luktärtsmatta. Så otroligt mäktigt och ger mig sån stor glädje. Tack Eva R!

What joy to unexpectedly get a large bouquet of Rosa Perle flowers (Lathyrus latifolius). I put them in my Lotus vase from Oscar & Clothilde shop in Stockholm and it is like a 38 centimeters diameter thick Sweet Pea rug. So stunningly beautiful and bring me such joy. Thank you Eva R.

Lavenderlommor / Beautiful lavender up close

Igår kväll fick jag en stor och ljuvligt doftande en bukett med vacker lavender som är odlat i norra Stockholms skärgård. Jag delade upp dem i 3 stycken och satte i mina amerikanska stora vitvinsglas med lila mönster och så får de stå på en bricka som kan fånga upp alla blommor omkommer ramla av. Sen när de torkat så kan jag göra nya lavenderpåsar men just nu njuter jag av den lila färgen. Lite spar jag till bakning också.

Last night I got a large and lovely fragrant bouquet with beautiful Lavender that are grown in the northern part of Stockholm archipelago. I divided them into 3 and placed in my American big white wine glasses with purple patterns and stood them on a tray that can pick up all the flowers when falling off. Then when they are dried I can make new Lavender sachets but right now I am just enjoying the intense purple color. I saw some for baking as well.

Här är receipt som jag tidigare skrivit om i bloggen.

Marängerna med grädde är en höjdare och blir speciella i smaken. Pröva du med!

Lavendel biscotti

½ dl solroskärnor

50 g mandel

50 g hasselnötter

3-4 msk lavendel

100 g mörk choklad

125 g smör

1 ½ dl socker

1 dl honung

1 ägg

1 msk vaniljsocker

2 tsk bakpulver

knappt 6 dl vetemjöl

Hacka choklad och mandel grovt. Vispa sedan upp smör, socker och honung poröst och rör i ägget. Vänd ner bakpulver, vaniljsocker och vetemjölet. Slutligen vänd ner chokladen, mandeln, nötterna, solroskärnor och lavendel. Forma till 6 ganska smala längder och lägg längderna på 2 bakpapperklädda plåtar. Platta till dem lite. Grädda i 175 grader i 10-15 minuter. Ta ut ur ugnen och låt svalna i ca 15 minuter och skär sedan sneda bitar med en vass kniv. Lägg biscottin med snittytan uppåt. Sätt in i ugnen tills de har torkat ca 10 minuter eller stäng av ugnen och låt dem stå tills de har torkat.

Lavendelmaränger med grädde

32 st små maränger

Laga marängerna dagen före med färsk eller torkad lavendel och lägg ett lager grädde mellan bottnarna på 2 maränger, så att de blir som en macaron, precis innan de serveras.

Ingredienser

3-4 obesprutade lavendel stjälkar OBS endast blommorna. Helst färska men fungerar bra med torkade blommor

2 st äggvitor från stora ägg

100 g socker

1-2 droppar röd hushållsfärg och 2 droppar blå hushållsfärg (så det blir lila) Valfritt!

150 ml vispgrädde

1/2 msk florsocker

1. Sätt ugnen på 130 grader. Klä en ugnsplåt med bakplåtspapper

2. Mortla lavendeln ca 1-2 minuter tills det doftar underbart!

3. Vispa äggvitorna hårt med en elvisp så att det bildas toppar när du tar upp vispen

4. Vänd ner socker, en matsked i taget tills sockret är jämt fördelat i äggvitan och det tjocknar och blir glansigt.

5. Strö över lavendeln i mixen tills jämt fördelat

6. Häll försiktigt ner färgdropparna tills en ljus lila färg bildas. (man kan skippa färgen men de blir då vita).

7. Häll över mixen till en spritserpåse (eller en tjockare plastpåse och klipp av ett litet hörn). Spritsa ut 32 st små maränger jämt fördelade på ugnaplåten med bakplåtspappret, inte för tätt.

8. Ställ in plåten i ugnen och dra genast ner värmen från 130 grader till 100 grader.

Låt stå 2 timmar i ugnen eller tills de är krispiga men de får inte bli gyllene. Stäng sedan av ugnen och låt marängerna stå kvar i ugnen tills ugnen kallnat. Ta sen ut de klara marängerna och förvara i en lufttät behållare tills de är dags att servera.

9. Inte tidigare än 30 minuter innan servering, vispa upp vispgrädde ganska hårt tills det bildas toppar, ska vara "stadig" och ej rinnig och sila över florsockret i grädden.

10. Ta en tesked och klicka dit det på en av marängernas bottnar och ta en annan marängbotten mitt emot så det blir som en macaron eller sandwich. De ska vara ganska små så man kan äta varje i en tugga.

Man kan ju även använda marängerna som de är utan grädden, till glass eller så. Mycket god och speciell smak. Hoppas det smakar!

I got a huge bunch of lovely lavender flowers. They smell devine! Try these 2 lavender recipes!

Lavender biscuits

30 g sunflower seeds

50 g almonds

50 g hazelnuts

3-4 tbsp lavender

100 g dark chocolate

125 g butter

90 g caster sugar

60 g honey

1 egg

1 tbsp vanilla sugar

2 tbsp baking powder

350 g plain wheat flour

Chop chocolate and almonds into coarse bits. Whisk porously butter, sugar and honey and then stir in the egg. Gradually whisk in the baking powder, vanilla sugar and the flour. Continue whisk in the chocolate, almonds, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds and lavender into the mix. Shape 6 fairly narrow lengths and put them onto a baking tray dressed with baking paper. Pat lightly and flatten them a bit. Bake at 175 degrees Centigrade for 10-15 minutes.

Remove from oven and let cool for about 15 minutes and then cut beveled pieces with a sharp knife. Place bisquites, cut side up. Put in the oven until they are dry about 10 minutes or turn the oven off and let them sit until they have dried.

Lavender meringues with cream

Makes 32 small meringues

Make the delicate pastel meringues the day before, with fresh or dried lavender, then add the cream

before serving.

Ingredients

3-4 fresh unsprayed lavender stems, flowers only

2 large free-range egg whites

100g/31/2oz caster sugar

1-2 drops of red food colouring, mixed with 1-2 drops of blue food colouring (optional)

150ml/5fl oz double cream

1/2 tbsp icing sugar

1. Preheat the oven to 130C/250F/Gas 1/2. Line a large baking tray with baking paper.

2. Grind the lavender flowers in a mortar and pestle for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.

3. In a large bowl, whisk the egg whites using an electric whisk until stiff peaks form when the whisk is

removed.

4. Gradually whisk in the caster sugar, a tablespoonful at a time, until all of the caster sugar has been

incorporated into the mixture and the mixture is thick and glossy.

5. Sprinkle one tablespoonful of the ground lavender flowers over the egg white mixture and whisk until combined.

6. Shake off 2 drops of both red and blue food colouring into the egg white mixture. Whisk well, adding more food colouring until the egg whites are a uniform pale mauve colour. (You may not need all of the food colouring.)

7. Spoon the meringue mixture into a piping bag fitted with a large plain nozzle. Pipe 32 small swirls of

the meringue mixture onto the prepared baking tray.

8. Transfer the meringues to the oven and immediately reduce the temperature to 100C/225F/Gas 1/4.

Bake the meringues for two hours, or until crisp but not coloured. Turn off the oven and leave the

meringues inside until the oven is cool. When the meringues have cooled, store them in an airtight

tin until needed.

9. No more than 30 minutes before serving, pour the cream into a mixing bowl and sift over the icing

sugar. Whip using an electric whisk until soft peaks form when the whisk is removed.

10. Place a teaspoonful of the cream mixture onto the base of one of the lavender meringues, then

sandwich the cream between a second meringue. Place onto a large serving plate. Repeat the process

with the remaining meringues, then serve immediately.

You can obviosuly eat the meringues as they are or with icecream. Very nice and special taste. Enjoy!

URBAN DELI SVEAVÄGEN 44 - STOCKHOLM

Urban Deli Sveavägen 44 har väl inte haft den bästa sommaren med tanke på vädret men ta er upp dit på terassen och deras Exo Bar som är öppet 11-22, kan stänga tidigare vid oväder. Det finns en drinkbar på taket och man kan köpa delins rätter nere på gatuplan och ta upp eller enklare charktallrik uppe på taket. Inga kontanter tas, endast kontokort. Inom kort kommer det hela nya kvarteret bli levande igen efter stor restaurering och nybygge i kvarteret mitt emot Adolf Fredriks kyrka. Det blir förutom delin, en restaurang, en saluhall och ett hotell under gatunivån. Tror allt invigs i augusti 2015.

Ta hissen upp till 9 trappor och ta en annorlunda promenad med audio, skulpturer och konst bland vackra vallmos och låga fjällväxter på trallar med 360° vy över city.

Urban Deli Sveavägen 44 have not had the best Summer given the weather but get up there on the terrace and their Exo Bar which is open 11-22 daily, (may close earlier during storms.) There is a drink bar on the roof and you can buy Urban Deli dishes down at street level and bring up or they have a simple meat dish on the roof. No cash accepted, credit cards only. Soon, the entire new block will become alive again after major restoration and new construction in the block situated opposite the Church of Adolf Fredrik. Besides the Deli there will be a restaurant, a covered market and a hotel below street level. Everything will be inaugurated in August 2015.

Take the elevator up to 9 floor and take a different walk with audio, sculptures and art among beautiful Poppies and low mountains plants on the gratings with a 360 ° view over the city.

THE GARDEN OF SENSES - STOCKHOLM

Vackra vilda rosor i Sinnenas Trädgård i Sabbatsbergsbyn och Vasaparken i Stockholm.
I den trädgården ska alla sinnen hos besökaren stimuleras; syn, hörsel, lukt, känsel och smak.
Här finns vatten som porlar, växter med olika strukturer, former och färger, dofter av olika slag. Sinnet stimuleras, stimulansen ger associationer och minnen, känslor och tankar väcks. Kontemplation och tid för vila och tankar. Intill ligger demensboendet och barnen leker och spelar i vasaparken näst intill. Här finns handdukar på tork, som små installationer av minnen i trädgården. Ett växthus där de i området kan ha sina sticklingar etc. Flera sittgrupper och även oaser där rehab kan ges vid t ex gåträningsställningen.

Det är foajén på KI, Aula Medica i Solna. Videon av ett elektroniskt vattenfall på 40 kvadratmeter vid stora trappan är i design av Ingegerd Råman designer och professor som även designat belysningen i det vinklade taket för bästa augustis och som har 95 handslipade kristallkoner i 8 olika mönster som gjorts på Orrefors glasbruk. Det heter Falling Water 10.6 and 95 light cones" Der filmade vattenfallet är Skånes högsta vattenfall, Forskar.

"Aula Media"Jag älskar KI Karolinska Insitutets byggnad på Solnavägen 7A i Solna, bredvid gamla Karolinska och nya forskningslabbet Biomedicum och vid nya Hagastaden, Stockholm. Arkitekt Gert Wingårdh arkitektkontor vann tävlingen redan 2001 med projektet lades på is och donation 2007 av Familjen Erling-Perssons stiftelse gjorde bygget möjligt. Det invigdes 11 oktober 2013. Byggnadens aula rymmer 1000 pers. Fasaden hålls upp av 15 kilometer österrikiskt limträ där varje balk är unik. varje triangel väger 15 kg och fasadens yta är totalt 5000 kvadratmeter och väger sammanlagt 90 ton. Trianglarna består av både täta och transparenta delar i sex olika kulörer, transparent, dovt gult, tät vit, tät guld och 2 transparenta varianter av guld och vitt tillverkade i Tjeckien. Dubbla glasrutor av genomskinligt glas och täta isolerande rutor för energikraven. Fasaden lutar som mest 33 grader och har ett överhäng på 23 meter ut över Solnavägen. Byggnaden är 32 meter hög, 900 stål och bjälklag av betong. 6000 triangelrutor. Designers Guilds Stockholms agentur som vanligtvis inte är öppet för allmänheten men nu hade de öppet för att rea ut prov och utställningsprover. Jag älskar Designers Guild och gjort det i många, många år. Det fanns även Christian Lacroix viss kollektion. Så här är lite som jag hittade. Får se vad jag hittar på för skoj!

Designers Guild Stockholm agency which is not usually open to the public but now they opened for sale of samples and exhibition samples. I love Designers Guild and have done so in many, many years. There were also some Christian Lacroix collection. So here are some that I found. We will see what I can can create out of these!

Art Nouveau heaven at Centralbadet in Stockholm city

I love this beautiful Art Nouveau Spa in the very heart of Stockholm City which also have a
beautiful garden I sit and read in by the shade of the beautiful trees and shrubs in the Summer heat.

It was built in 1904 and refurbished and reopen in 1989 and I was lucky to be at the new opening.
Since 5 years it is a slightly rebuilt and a Spa and not just a beautiful pool in Stockholm.
More expensive but also lots of lovely treats, thermal baths, big comfy jacuzzi,
cold bath and lots of various saunas and also various treatments.

The pool is in an ellipe shape and you swim round and round and beautiful serene music
is played in the background. Treat yourself!

FREESTYLE EMBROIDERY FINISHED

Nu har jag broderat klart mitt broderiprojekt som egentligen varit Boot Camp för min hands motorik och smärthantering. Ska fixa lite sammet och göra en kudde av det.

Tekoppen är delvis enligt ett mönster som jag hittade och jag utgick ifrån och sen har jag freestylat mig fram, haft en engelsk längtan och blomsterfröjd i sinnet och så blev det som det blev. Handgjort och unikt!

Finished my embroidery projects that actually has been a Boot Camp for my hand motor function and pain management. Will get some velvet and make a cushion out of it.
The teacup is partially from a pattern that I found and that I started from and then I free styled me further along the way, and had my constant English yearning and floral delight in the mind and it all ended up like this. Handcrafted and unique!

När det var Kulturnatt för nästan 2 veckor sedan fotograferade jag ganska mycket med min iPhone4. Sedan jag fick iPhone har jag äntligen tyckt att det är kul att fotografera, försöker hitta nya vinklar och upptäckter i min vardag. Därför gillar jag verkligen Instagram och att följa andra spännande fotografer runt om i världen. Instagram tar mig på resor varje dag. Massor av min London dos som jag måste ha, på massor av olika sätt, följer arkitekturen, naturen, restauranger, street art, design, inredning, affärer och nästa sekund inspireras av konst från Saatchi gallery för i nästa sekund vara på Moma i NYC och vips vidare till helt crazy franska och tyska parkour killar som reser runt i världen och tar sig upp på ställen de inte får vara och gör fantastiska volter och verkar inte ha någon rädsla alls. Japan på flera sätt, tänk vad fantastiska parker de har där och belysningen i städerna är magnifik. Just varit på turné runt Australien med ett par som blivit sponsrade med en campingvan och som har tagit fantastiska bilder och träffat instagrammare som de i sin tur lärt känna hemifrån England där de vanligtvis bor och har kunnat tagit sig till platser de blivit förälskade i via Instagram.

Jag följer inrednings och pyssel Instagram, franska kristallampsspecialister och textilare i Wales. För någon helg sedan hittade jag en bild i flödet som kändes så familjär... men fick inte ihop det i skallen... Haha, en av instagrammarna jag följer i London hade plötsligt tagit en Stockholms weekend och tagit en tur på Stockholms tunnelbanestationer som hon instagrammande. Idag har jag sett en fantastisk vacker och romantisk bild från Hampstead i norra London från en trädgård så där brittiskt magiskt förförisk och med röda kamelior i full blom bland allt annat. Den gjorde mig lycklig.

When it was Stockholm Culture Night almost 2 weeks ago I photographed pretty much with my iPhone4. Since I got the iPhone I have finally found it fun to photograph, trying to find new angles and discoveries in my everyday life. Therefore, I really like Instagram and follow other exciting photographers around the world. Instagram takes me on trips every day. Lots of my London dose I must have, in lots of different ways, following the architecture, nature, restaurants, street art, design, interior design, business, and the next second I am inspired by art from the Saatchi Gallery and the next second I'll be at MOMA in NYC and swish I am on to the completely crazy French and German parkour guys who travel around the world and get up in really high buildings and places they should not be in and doing amazing flips and seems to have no fear at all. Japan in several ways, imagine what amazing parks they have there and the lights in cities are magnificent.

Just been on tour around Australia with a couple who had been sponsored and given a camping van and who has taken amazing pictures and met Instagrammers, which they in turn come to know back where they are from home in England and have been getting to places they've fallen in love with via Instagram.

I follow interior decorating and crafts on Instagram, French chandelier makers and textile artists in Wales. A few weekends ago I found a picture in the Instagram flow that felt so familiar ... but could not work it out in my head ... Haha, one of Instagrammers I follow in London had suddenly taken a Stockholm weekend trip and taken a tour of Stockholm's subway stations that she put on Instagram. Today I have seen an amazing beautiful and romantic image from Hampstead in North London from a garden that is so magically, seductive British and red camellias in full bloom among everything else. It made me feel so happy.

Älskar hur allt bara spricker ut och blommar och alla gröna vackra färgtoner i staden. I år har jag lyckats tima in alla vackra blomningar bra. Var i Västergötland i april och där var så vackra mossbelagda stenar i skogen, blåsipporna, vitsipporna, lungört, och den för mig nya pestskråpan som är en del av tussilagofamiljen och får blad som blir upp mot 150 cm långa på sommaren... som monster. Nu stod den där i rödbetsfärgade toner och små skira vita blommor, nästan som snökristaller.

Love this time of year and how everything just burst out and start blooming and all the beautiful green shades in the city. This year I have succeeded to time them all at their peak. Was in South West Sweden in April and there was so beautiful rocks full of moss in the forest innermost Scottish greens, blue anemones, wood anemones, lungwort, and for me the new Butterbur which is part of coltsfoot family and get leaves that can grow up to 150 cm long in Summer ... as monsters . Now it stood there in its beetroot purplish tones and small delicate white flowers, almost like snow crystals.

Found these cute furry balls which is a Clematis that gets smal delicate pink Clematis I was told.

Just pure joy Spring green!

Uppdatering nu. Varit bortrest och tyvärr inte kunnat uppdatera men har plåtat mycket så ska försöka uppdatera bättre nu. Här är 2 akvarell och olika pennor alster som jag gjorde för någon vecka sedan. Det som på engelska kallas för doodling. Mycket avkopplande och det blir som det blir.

Finally an updating. Been out of town and unable to update but has shot loads of photos so I hope to update better now. Here are two watercolors and various pencils works I did a few week ago. Doodling. Very relaxing and it develops into whatever!

Länge sedan senaste blogginlägg men har ändå hunnit göra lite mer att lägga upp här. Ni som följer mig på Instagram kanske redan sett det mesta, det är där jag är mest aktiv numera under: ledesignart

Jag har gjort ett sängbord av min bankvalvsbox som jag skrivit om här om förr, mitt fynd härom året. Satte dit 3 ben från ett annat bord och den är praktisk då det är förvaring i det. Perfekt vid min nya säng med smart förvaring från BoConcept. Serien heter Lugano... som är ett trevligt resmål för er som inte varit i Lugano i södra Schweiz på gränsen till Italien :-)

Been some time since last Blogpost but have managed to create some new stuff. I am more active these days on Instagram where you can follow : ledesignart

I have made a new bedstead table out of my bank vault box I found as a bargain the other year. Attached 3 legs from another table and it is very practical when it is obviously a box compartment in it. Perfect by my new bed bought at BoConcept, the series name is Lugano, which also is a very nice travel destination if you haven´t visited Lugano in south of Switzerland bordering Italy.
