This month I am redoing my Volume 4, Some of the voice recording was very hard to hear, So I am redoing the necessary chapters. In between that I am making 18 inch doll cloths for my store at shophandmade.com.

I have also been working on some hand made tools using polymer clay

I am currently designing knitted shoes the ones pictured are done on a standard machine, I want to convert them for the Bond. the pattern will be available as soon as I perfect it.

I am finished with Vol 4 of Come Knit with me. Vol 4 is creating mittens on the bond. the dvd's are 25.00 this includes shipping and handling.

So Now I have:

Just a short note to let you know the I am still around, I am making mittens to go on my next DVD that I am creating, I am playing with my new garter bar from KrisKrafter, which is absolutely wonderful. can't say enough about it. It make decreasing so much easier, the tines do not move on you like the hand made ones do. Believe my I have made my share of homemade garter bars. the KrisKrafer does not even compare. I plan on a few short videos for youtube using the garter bar. So stay in touch. I will try and do the same.

I was just given a "KrisKrafter Garter Bar" with 50 pegs. I can not say enough good things about this bar. I am working on a DVD for dishcloths, i wanted to include some garter stitch on some of them but the slow way slowed me down, But with this bar it is full steam ahead, If you get the opportunity to purchase one it is well worth it. I have a 2 new videos I created "Come knit with me" I show you how to make a simple keyhole sweater with cap sleeves, It is only 25.00 each (that includes shipping) You get to select 3 sizes of your choice, for each DVD you order.
Volume 1 is a keyhole sweater
Volume 2 is pull over with cap sleeves
Volume 3 is a raglan sweater with short sleeves (in process)

If you have seen any of my videos on you tube you will know that I do not edit out my "issues" how are you going to learn if I do not include how to repair them, the only thing I edit out is if I am knitting several rows with no issues.

Lets see, I have finished the second DVD, Volume 2 of "Come Knit With Me" This will be a series of DVD with about 4 gig of information, I will walk you through the creation of project, so far I have:

Vol 1 a keyhole sweater with cap sleeves
Vol 2 a classic sleeve sweater with cap sleeves
Vol 3 a raglan sleeve sweater with short sleeves

each DVD contains from start to finish the creation of a sweater. They are available for $25.00, this includes shipping, What you will receive is the DVD, and three sizes in the sweater demonstrated. Just email me with the sizes, I do take paypal. [I am working on getting a shopping cart.]

Soft Pill Box Hat

This is my latest creation. It is a soft pill box hat. It is made by machine. If you need a pattern done with knitting needles let me know. pattern is to the right. At the end of today I will update the final version of this hat. It came out real nice. I like it. I have converted it to knitting needles so look for that if you need that instead.

I wanted to share my Knitting Cheat Sheet with you, or at least how you can create your own. I use a spread sheet to start, then
Col A I label rows
Col b I label stitches
Col c I label comments

In col. a i list all the rows (or just the ones that I have to do something other than knit
col B I list what I have to do i.e. inc 1 or dec 1, or ssk (what ever the pattern calls for)
col C I list things like for left side or additional comments like change yarn, should have 23 rows etc. I will upload a blank for you.

Square on square up date

I have started uploading a video on the Square on Square. I am using Bernat Baby yarn in light blue with keyplate 2. (I did not want a tight knit). I will take a close up so you can see what I am talking about. This is not working out as I planned, I still like it but it is more rectangles than squares. If you want squares you would need twice as many rows as you have stitches. Also I think when I do this again, I will put the boarder on after then it will all be going in the same direction. I like the stitch I'm using. I will post a photo of it when I get closer to being done.

I have finished the square on square.

the boarder I used makes it a bit mis shaped.

adjustments I would make:
1. not do the boarder as I do the afghan, I would attach it after
2. use 90 stitches and knit 180 rows for each block.
3. then add the boarder, cast on 12 stitches, using seam as you go add the afghan.

4. I would either square off the corners or miter them.

I am adjusting the pattern to match my findings.

You can use what ever strip pattern you would like, what I used on the second square was:
At row 1 start with blue
starting with :
row 17 starts with pink
row 31 starts with blue
row 37 starts with pink
row 47 starts with blue
row 57 starts with pink
row 67 starts with blue
row 77 starts with pink
row 87 starts with blue
row 95 starts with pink
row 105 starts with blue
row 115 starts with pink
row 125 starts with blue
row 135 starts with pink

row 145 starts with blue

row 151 starts with pink

row 165 starts with blue, stop at row 180.

Square on square

I am working an a baby blanket (I had to set aside my circular blanket (I need more yarn), I will get back to it shortly
This is the rough draft of what I expect it to look like.:

It consists of four squares, square 1 is knitted with bordered along 2 sides, casting off ending where block 1 and 2 meet, rehanging the sides of block 1 to create block 2, maintaining the boarder along the side and top, repeat until 3 are complete, as I knit the rows in block 4 I will be rehanging the live stitches from block 1, (block 1 is opened cast on) Pattern If the above link does not work, shoot me an email. (I am trying something new. Keep in mind this is still a work in progress.
