I've put off posting this for so long that I actually was considering not posting it at all... But today I was feeling productive and figured, Why not?

These pictures, (and video) were taken back in August its now almost November... what a slacker I am! hehe
It was actually Jon & I's anniversary so there isn't much footage because I didn't want to ruin the atmosphere with constant camera action. With that said, we both got 3 days off of work, and spent them together... all of these pictures are pretty much from the second day, except for the pictures of yummy pasta. (those were taken on the last day). ^.^

I thought it would be interesting to Blog/Vlog about it seeing as since it was my little sister I was servicing and not a typical client, I sort of had the freedom to film to and take pictures without being unprofessional.

Hello!
So its been about 2 weeks since my last post, which is sort of bad... any longer and I would have thrown blogging to the side for an unplanned indefinite hiatus without even realizing it. (Like I've done in the past)
I have loads of pictures and video in my camera... I just have been so busy that I haven't gotten around to posting anything.

Anywhoo.. Since I sadly woke up with a Sty on my left eye yesterday morning I couldn't do anything makeup related so instead, here's a quick Outfit of the Day. It's a pretty casual fall outfit that's fun as well as comfortable, Hope you like it!

Rainy Day In New York City ♥

Hey!

So This is another "Boyfriend Post".. which will make two in a row.. but I promise my next post will be solely focused on ME! (though I'm sure most of you are more interested in Jonathan than me, sadly haha)

I don't think I'll type much about the day, because there isn't really much to tell it was a pretty gloomy day that ended in rain. We have both been working super late nights/early mornings so we pretty much spent the morning/afternoon sleeping and being lazy. In the evening we went into the city where it began to rain.

There will be a video recap at the end of this post to show/explain the random moments I didn't mention above.

Now onto the pictures!

Zoo Date. ♥

Hey loves!

I've been MIA for a little while, because work has been literally kicking my arse... but I'm back now, and will hopefully be able to consistently blog again. (fingers crossed)

So last week (July 26th) The plan was for Jonathan and I to head to the Bronx Zoo! (sort of our little mini tradition)

When I first arrived in NY at 11:00am ( we typically meet in the city, because its easier that way) Jonathan wasn't there yet.. he called to let me know he was going to be about 20minutes late (boooo) so I had time to kill.. I ended up going to Wendy's to use the bathroom.. which somehow resulted in me camwhoring for a bit. LOL

That Days Outfit: (That I sort of regret wearing because.. it was that time, and I was bloated -_-) tmi? lol

And the one and only face shot of the entire day: (yes my eyelids are droopier than usual, lack of sleep will do that to ya D; )

After the impromptu snapshots in the Wendy's restroom I went across the street to Duane Read And purchased nail polish to do my nails with, They were atrocious before (as you could probably tell from the first picture). Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of my nails. They were Purple with Gold Glitter for the curious!

Jon FINALLY arrived 53 minutes later than he should have been and we made our way to the Zoo.

Please Ignore My crappy posture throughout this entire post.. I didn't realize my purse was weighing down my shoulder THAT much during the time. ehh

From there, we went back to the city to have dinner with Jon's friends Dave & Telly.
Dinner was MY choice, so naturally we had sushi. lol

Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures... I was super tired by this point. Not only from walking all day in 90 degree weather at the zoo but also from a series of unplanned events that happened right before dinner with the guys.. -_-

Anywho, from dinner, we walked around the city for a bit... got rained on, and somehow ended up in H&M lol (I HAVE to mention that Jon & Telly acted like girls when it started to rain, you could have sworn they were going to melt or something.. ridiculous!!! lol) This is why I'm Totally Team Dave!

New Hair Color... AGAIN. lol

So I went lighter with my hair, again... but this time I went WAY lighter.. its a nice strawberry/honey blonde color, I'm still not used to it yet, but I'll get there I hope. lol

2 days of Love ♥

Hey Loves!

So as I Previously mentioned in my last post, I spent this past Tuesday and Wednesday in New York with my boyfriend, we both had finally gotten the same days off of work, so we took full advantage! :D

We had a good time, and I'm here to share with you some of the fun we had, because I know some of you LOVE Jonathan, lol I literally get youtube, formspring and email messages about him everyday.. I'm sort of jealous! haha

First Thing's First, Here's a Video we took of our 2 days together, which pretty much sum up the following pictures pretty well... but don't worry, if you aren't able to watch the video.. I'll caption the pictures... (See! I CAN be helpful!) :)

And now for the pictures! WARNING: There are about 50 pictures below, if you do not wish to view them then do not continue. I don't see why you wouldn't though... my new camera is so amazing that even I can't stop looking at the pictures over and over... LOL

This is Just a Random shot I took Tuesday Morning before I left for New york.. I'm not really that fond of it, but I'm posting it anyway because I feel it'd be awkward to just start with pictures of me suddenly in NY. I don't know why I think like this, lol

(Earlier in the day we had taken a trip to China Town to visit/browse the Elizabeth center.. which is pretty much an Asian Shopping center that sells loads of things from various Asian brands.
The basement is the most popular area.. it has a broad variety of cute things like cell phone straps, jewelry, Asian Cosmetics, and even Circle Lenses!.. I didn't get much from there this trip, Jonathan bought me a watch, 2 cute (for no reason) pens.. and some origami paper so he could show me how to make stars.
I didn't take any pictures of my loot... BUT its included in the video above!)

We went to a really popular sushi place called Takahachi in East Village, it was super crowded and we not only had to wait about 15-20 minutes to be seated, but we were also sitting elbow to elbow with the people seated next to us.. But it was worth it, just for this:

The BEST Shrimp Tempura with Spicy Mayo that I've EVER had, I've been thinking about it ever since.. nom.

Our Sushi/Sashimi platter... Jon's the Sashimi lover, I'm partial to it.. I need my rice. lol

FYI.. The Nigiri Sushi in back had an extremely generous serving of wasabi in between the fish and rice.. caught me by surprise and my sinuses were literally cleared for the rest of the night. ;o

No clue what he's doing.. this is random.

The Next Day!

We began our afternoon (skipped morning, we slept in lol) at Pinkberry, because I was craving Froyo like no body's business.

Random Shot Jon took, I figured it evens out the random one I posted of him before, lol.

YUMMY! its Original Tart Flavor, with crunchy strawberry yogurt bits, Cap'n Crunch, Fruity Pebbles and Dark Chocolate Chips. (I didn't enjoy the chocolate.. it was pretty much Jon's section. lol)

Later on we had Lunch, (backwards I know.. dessert before lunch) Here's Jon's Pretty Pina Colada:

Rawr! I look like an untamed Beast! lol the wind pretty much destroyed my hair and turned it into a bird's nest. :-\

He's wearing his hat backwards simply because he knows it annoys me.. sigh lol

One of the Best Parts of That day.. a Special Present from my love..

It's a Promise Ring! It's an Amethyst (my birthstone) and its so sparkly and pretty! I love it! :D

He also went and got me the new limited edition Pink Hello Kitty from Build-a-Bear when it was released a few weeks ago.. I love her equally as much! ♥

We randomly went into the Sanrio Store just to browse a couple of hours before I left and I saw this Backpack and HAD to have it... so I got it. lol ( I actually left it... then ended up returning 10 minutes later to buy it because I couldn't stop thinking about it, sigh)

Ridiculousness.. Hello Kitty Overload.

So yesterday was spent at my Grannie's house to celebrate my Cousin Nikki's Birthday and I had a good time.
Its always nice to spend time with your family, because at the end of the day they are the only people you can count on. ^_^

New Camera = Picture Spam!

Hey hey!

So my new Cam has arrived! Its the Olympus pen E-PL2 and I've actually had it for a little over a week, but I had no time to play around with it until now.

I took lots of pictures yesterday, and I've decided to torture you all with them! haha, really I'm just amazed with the camera quality.. all of the pictures turned out amazing... I didn't even tamper with color contrasting or anything!! Awesome!

But First, check out how awesome The video Quality is.. (I still don't quite get manual focus.. but I'll learn one day)

Pretty good right? and that was filmed in Low natural light! waahhh.... On to the pics..

The Soft Glow setting makes me look angelic and sweet...

..Even when I make gremlin faces. haha

It also takes GREAT low light pictures... these were all taken outdoors at night:

The Grainy Film Setting makes things moody/artsy... LOVE.

Hello Again..

Hey guys!

ughh.. I know I said I would be updating more but I swear something always goes wrong or gets in the way of me blogging. Its starting to get really annoying to be honest.

After my last post, My internet came back... but then guess what happened.. MY CAMERA BROKE. or more like died/past on for good, seeing as it was already beat up quite a bit. lol sigh. It still takes pictures, sort of, but when I try and push the video button/icon (or any other icon for that matter) nothing happens.. at all. so its pretty much a brick. I will never purchase another camera with a touch screen again.. too fragile.

BUT I do have good news... I ordered a new camera this morning!! having a broken camera has pushed me to finally shell out the cash for a brand new baby cam, and this one is WAY better, I'll finally have semi pro pics! lol but I'll update on my new camera after it arrives.. for now I'm going to leave you guys with Videos and pictures I've been holding out on for posts that were never written. Enjoy my ugly mug: ;)

Hey dude's
Long time no update huh?? I've been super busy with work so I haven't had much time to keep up with my blog or even my youtube for that matter.

When I finally think I have a moment to update you guys something either goes wrong or gets in the way.. like now for example.
Lol I'm currently typing this blog from my cell phone because just as I was about to head to blogger to do a full out post with pictures and video my darned internet went out! >:[ haha life is..

But, since my "Full Out Post" plan got sabotaged I'll just post random pictures that I have in my cell phone. Lol hopefully they suffice as entertainment.

Of course I had to include some of my fav food/snacks. ^_^

Mac Candy Yum Yum Dupe!!? :D

Hey lovelies,

So after I received my Candy Yum Yum lipstick from the mac quite cute collection, I fell so in love that after realizing I may not ever be able to get a backup(s), I immediately started a mission to find dupes. It took me a while but I think I've come pretty darn close with Maybelline Color Sensational: Fuchsia Fever! Close enough to leave me satisfied. :)

Here's a video on my full thoughts: (unfortunately the lip color got completely washed out due to me sitting directly in front of my window -_-) but thats what pics are for right!?

Comparison Swatch!

So as you can see the main difference is that CYY is Matte, while Fuchsia Fever is shiny, also Candy Yum Yum is A LOT more opaque, I need about 3 coats of Fuchsia Fever to get the exact look of CYY, which isn't really a bad thing seeing as it could be perfect for people that love the look of Candy Yum Yum but would like the option of wearing it toned down a bit. :)

I'm super happy that I found this, because now I can let my prized Candy yum yum rest while I coat my lips in Maybelline's Fuchsia fever every day of the week! :D ♥

Another Day with the Boyfriend ♥

Hey guys!

So I filmed another video of Jonathan and I spending the day together, I'm posting it below, so feel free to check it out! :)

Ps.. I decided to try a new foundation that day and it unfortunately oxidized HORRIBLY after about 3 hours and I was left looking ruddy and dark. ;( oh well you live and you learn.

ALSO! I had an allergic reaction the day before and my left eye swell up and decided to be disgusting for days on end (still currently disgusting btw) so I had to resort to wearing my "grandpa glasses" all day, with no eyeliner OR mascara! the horror. so needless to say, I felt gorgeous that day. lol Enjoy!

GEO Princess Mimi [Circle Lens Review]

Hey everyone!
So I was fortunate enough to get sponsored another pair of lenses from the wonderful people over at Shoppingholics, and I have to say I am in LOVE!
The lenses they sent me are the The Geo Princess Mimi/ Bambi Lenses in "Chocolate Brown" designed by Tsubasa Masuwaka. These lenses are pretty popular right now, And its pretty obvious why... They are absolutely stunning!

I've wanted to get my hands on these since I saw the promo pics for the Japan release last year, and now I finally have them!!! :D

So as you can see they enlarge quite a bit!
On top of the awesome enlargement, they are also Super comfortable. They literally feel like nothing, which is surprising to me because I don't usually find Geo lenses to have that high of a level of comfortability. The design is also to die for!! (♥_♥)

These Lenses get a 10 from me, I want every color now!!

MAC Quite Cute Lipsticks ♥

Lei Ho Everyone! (haha thats my lame Cantonese attempt for the day)

Sooo, Mac's quite cute collection was released a little less than a week ago, and I was pretty excited. Now, I wasn't particularly excited for the entire collection... hehe I only had my eye on lipstick.. yes ONE, and that was Candy Yum Yum. (how awesome is that name? I cant wait to say that to people when they ask what I'm wearing lol)

Needless to say I wasn't the only person looking forward to getting their hands on this lipstick, because almost immediately after it went up on the mac site it was all sold out! .
Luckily I was smart about it.. (mainly from my experience dealing with older Mac collections) And I ordered my items The night before the release by using the almighty "Site Map" >:]
I ended up purchasing two out of the 5 lipsticks, because one of them I already owned (St. Germain) and the other 2 just didnt look like they'd be too flattering on me.

So I'm now the proud owner of Candy Yum Yum, the HOTTEST hot neon pink I've ever seen... its like a highlighter marker for lips.. amazing. And Playtime, a cutesy true purple.

My Staple Curly Hair Product.

Hey!

I'm just going to post a quick video/product rave...
Garnier Fructis Curl Sculpting Gel was my favorite curly hair product throughout middle school and the beginning of high school, then one day it just vanished.. and I had to make do with other products.

I don't know about you guys, but when I have a product that I love and deem HG worthy, and the company just stops manufacturing it without an explanation I get pretty upset! lol so needless to say I was heart broken... but I moved on... Then just when I had all but stopped thinking/wondering about it, This beautiful Green tube caught my eye while browsing hair products at Walgreens... Hallelujah! haha needless to say I snatched the tube up right away and took my "baby" home.

My hair has never been happier! :)

New Hair Color!

Hey guys!

I was craving a change in hair color REALLY bad, but I was sort of afraid to do it. It took a lot to get my hair to this point after chopping it off over a year ago. BUT I've always felt that my natural dark brown/black hair was boring and it sort of washed my already kinda dull complexion out.

What led to my hair cut in the first place was 4 whole years of bleaching and coloring my hair EVERY color of the rainbow until it finally turned to mush when wet and straw while dry. ;( lol
So needless to say I was a little afraid that if I began to color my hair again I would end up starting that vicious cycle again. Also, strangely enough there's something a little comforting about having a head full of "virgin hair".

But, my craving was SO bad, that I just decided I would color it once, and if I liked it I would just stick to that color, with touch ups when necessary. And if I didn't like it.. then I'd just have to deal with it until it grew out..
After making that deal with myself, The only thing I told myself while choosing a color was "you'd better make a good choice Tara!" haha, talk about self pressure.

Also, the front of my hair lightened a bit more than the rest, because the hair framing my face naturally grows in lighter than the rest of my head. no clue why, but it is what it is. lol

Now hopefully I don't revert to my usual fickle minded self, and decide that I hate it tomorrow lol.

My thoughts on Kinky Curly.

Hey!

So I promised I would update on my thoughts about Kinky curly, and here it is!
Realistically this review should have been up a week ago, but I've been really sick off and on for the past two weeks... but I'm feeling alright now! So, here we go... watch my sick face in all its glory (more so in the last part) if you want to hear my full thoughts on these products:

Heres Pictures of my hair on the first day I applied Kinky Curly Knot Today & Curling Custard:

And This is OVER a week later with me just sleeping on it every night without restyling, re-wetting or ANYTHING. (life of a sick person lol)

As you can see in the pictures, the first Day my curls are very shiny, defined, and frizz free! I loved it!
My hair didn't feel crunchy at all (though I admit that that could be because I used a serum after diffusing) it had body, and it looked and felt moisturized! Which really surprised me because while applying the Curling Custard to my hair it felt very drying, almost like it was freezing my curls into place.. but once I got over that it was all up hill from there!

As you can also see a week later my hair has MUCH more volume, (which is to be expected.. come on its been a week lol), BUT despite the fact that I pretty much didn't touch my hair for 8 days there are still some sporadic curls there! Also, my hair still felt very soft and moisturized which was even more surprising seeing that I sleep on cotton pillow cases (which tend to strip moisture from hair)

All in all its a pretty great product, and I will continue to use it to tame my mane, mainly because of the shine it gives my usually dry, drab looking curls, haha.

I give these Products a B+
I'd definitely recommend them to someone looking for a product to define and moisturize their curls!

♥ Wild Flower Eyes ♥

Hey guys!
For the past year and a half I've been stuck in my makeup ways, rarely venturing into color on my eyes... everyday is pretty much the same, neutral lid, lots of eyeliner, 5 coats of mascara, and the occasional "pop" of color on the lower lashline.
haha, I dont know what happened, 2 years ago ALL I ever wore was bright colors on my eyes and pretty neutral lips... now its reversed.. I wear neutral eyes and bright lips! Funny how things change without you even noticing.

So yesterday I decided to step back into the world of color so to speak, and do a bright eye, and here's the result! I honestly felt a little rusty, but I think it came out pretty good nonetheless. I'm satisfied. :)

Beauty Haul

Hey guys,
So yesterday I did a little shopping, I went to center city to purchase some hair products, but I also ended up purchasing 6 drugstore lipsticks, 2 super cheap hair conditioners and a mini skirt from one of my favorite thrift shops!

I'm a little shiny in the last one (first one as well, but this one is more noticeable) because it was a LONG day, and I wore my Nars Sheer Glow Foundation without any setting powder. ^_^

Protein Treatment: Results.

Remember that heat damaged hair from my last post?
Well I went to work on it.. and here are my results!

I apologize for the lack of makeup and the tired face, I tried to spice it up with the lipstick but failed. lol I'll make more of an effort next time. ehh.

There are still some random straight-ish pieces but not so bad that I HAVE to pin my hair back in the front. :D

I've decided I don't really like the way my curls look when I use gel.. so I'll be skipping that next time!

No more Flat Iron!!

Hey!
So I'm one of those people that has a super close relationship with their flat iron.
So close, that I consider her to be one of my best friends. (yes, I said "her" lol) But I recently made the decision to take a break from flat ironing my hair, and allow my hair to be healthy again.
The main reason for that is the toll my beloved flat iron has taken on my curls.
I have dreaded Heat Damage.

Now thankfully it isn't that bad, and I'm pretty sure I can improve the state of my hair with some TLC but that could take a little time. So the plan from here is to abandon my flat iron for the next few weeks.. and rock my natural curls.
who knows, maybe I'll end up never using my flat iron again... gasp.
