It was in 1997, with the launch of iPods, Apple created a revolution for the first time in the world of electronics. iPods succeeded in completely sweeping the world of music devices, which resulted in creating a world record in its sales in the continents of America and Europe for a continuous decade. To repeat the triumph, Apple is back again with iPod touch, the latest version of iPods.

The most attractive feature of iPod touch is the ability to download music straight from iTunes. It is possible too easily with the help of Wi-Fi devices. The iPod touch comes with a gorgeous 3.5 inch widescreen display hat will help in watching movies, and TV shows. The bright high quality screen brings out the images alive with bright, vivid colour on the 320 by 480 pixel display.

Another important feature is the revolutionary multi-touch interface. The iPod touch carries the same multi-touch screen technology that was followed by iPhone. It is possible to zoom in on a photo. Also the user can scroll through the songs and videos with a flick.

Apple Inc's Venture Into the World of 3G Technology

The apple iPhone is an internet enabled, third generation GSM phone manufactured and marketed by Apple. Owing to minimal hardware, the phone lacks a real keypad; instead the multi touch screen produces a virtual one when required. The iPhone also functions as a portable media player, a camera phone an internet client. The first generation hardware included quad band GSM along with EDGE, the second generation introduced UMTS (Universal mobile telecommunications system) along with HSDPA (High sped downlink packet access), and the third generation technology brings in 7.2Mps HSPA (High speed packet access)

Apple finally announced the phone after months of waiting, speculation and rumors. The original version of the iPhone was first introduced in the United States on 29th June, 2007 before being launched worldwide. It was named as the invention of the year by Time magazine in 2007. Released on 11th of July, 2008, the Apple iPhone supports assisted GPS and much faster 3G enabled data speeds.

On 17th of March, 2009, Apple Inc announced the 3.0 version of the Operating system used in iPhone and the iPod touch (which was launched on June 17th 2009). The iPhone which was unveiled on 8th June, 2009, was launched in the United States, Canada and six European countries on 19th of June , 2009, in Japan and Australia on 26th June. It will be internationally released in the months of July and August.

Initially the iPhone was launched in two versions with different internal storage sizes: one with 4GB and the second one with 8GB internal storage. On 5th February, 2008, Apple introduced a new 16GB model of the iPhone. The iPhone 3G edition was available in 8 and 16GB models whereas the 3GS edition is available in 16GB and 32GB internal storage space variants.
