I have not been able to blog for a couple of days. I've been quite busy with school- projects, presentations, exams. And because I am graduating this semester, the deadlines set have to be strictly followed.

Anyway, I may not be able to blog again this week because it's Midterm week. So, I guess, I'll just see you when I see you.

Korean Food

Nice and I went to Hanayo, a Korean restaurant near the university. We both ordered Bibimbap and Ddeokbokki. Bibimbap was simply rice mixed with beef, egg, veggies, and the chili paste. When served, you have to thoroughly stir all the ingredients in the bowl then you're good to eat. The Ddeokbokki, on the other hand, is made from rice cake.

After eating, Nice and I talk about some things, especially plans after graduation and stuff which I'm afraid will just bore you. Then, she insisted that I try the Korean ice cream because she said it was really good. And it really was, good!

Planners

New year indicates new life. And new planner too!

This year, I successfully collected all the stickers to obtain the Starbucks planner, again. Yup, Starbucks planner now on it's second year in Gabrielle's life.

As much as I am excited to use my new planner, I also feel sad that my old planner will be of no use anymore. This planner has been with me during my DL-semester, internship at ALI, PFS days, and planning for MIS and Systems days. I wrote all my schedules here, all my to-do lists, and all the lists I made. This makes me realize that this planner has been with me all throughout this crazy 2011. And now it's time to change it.

I hope that I'll also be able to use my 2012 planner the way it is supposed to be used, for planning. I hope (and must do) that I'll also write all my schedules, appointments, and lists in this planner, just like how I used my 2011 planner.

Indeed new planner, new life, new year!

P.S I need (~~want~~) a black journal.

A year ago, I was being overly dramatic on how tragic my 2010 has been. Reminiscing on those times when I was on the verge of giving up or those tiny dilemmas that turned into major crises, yeah, I was melancholically remembering all those memories. Now when I try to look back and compare how tragic 2010 and 2011 have been, I don’t even know where and how to start comparing. However, one thing is certain, if only I had the ability to erase some parts of my memory; a large portion of 2011 will be included in it.

But then again, I don’t want to end my year feeling bitter and angry on how things turned out to be. Instead, I am asking the Almighty to continuously guide me to the right path, to grant me the wisdom to discern what is right from wrong, and to teach me the art of forgiveness.

2011 has not been great, but things will eventually get better, right? I’m not asking for an “awesome” 2012. All I ask is a less bumpy rollercoaster ride for 2012.

“That in all things, God may be glorified.”

We all have that destination we've been wanting to go to. It may be a place, a dream, a state of mind, a goal, or just something we can cross out from our bucket list.

Just thinking of this destination gives us the motivation to continue no matter how perilous and exhausting the path may be.

The light at the end of the tunnel is now visible.

My friend, Nice, asked me to accompany her to see the display of Fine Arts students in their building. Fine Arts got me thinking, "Hey, it's time to see some paintings again." But when we got there, I found out that the display didn't include any paintings. Instead, the display featured the different areas in a house- living room, dining room, etc. The furniture displayed were made from recycled materials.

It's two in the morning and I went out to get some lime for my ramen(midnight snack), when I saw Bambi, Colby, and Aubrey, stretching their bodies at the same time. It was awkward. At first they were doing some stretching and when they heard me, all three stopped and looked at me.

Did I disturb them from their secret training?

And maybe all those scenes we see in Disney movies wherein the animals are having a meeting or some training when the humans are not looking at them, maybe it really happens. Who knows.
