I woke up at 7am to buy tickets for Them Crooked Vultures.

One day in December. I am ill in bed with an essay due in. I could not warrant the travel expenses, the time it would take to get there and return, or the classes I would miss. This makes me the least 'rock n' roll' girl ever. It was probably for the best. I got a fever that night; it's likely that I would have collapsed. The audience would probably have assumed that I was just over excited (and justifiably so) to see Grohl, Homme and Jones - as one - on stage.

Surely if I had gone, I would have seen at least one grown man cry at this assemblage.

How does one come across the font 'Gandhari Unicode'? With such a name you would expect it to be one of those weird and useless fonts that only people under the age of 12 use. Surely in the search for a formal font, finding it would require an arduous reading of the list - up until 'G' anyway. Why not just go for the standard 'Times New Roman' or 'Arial'?

Every week, her nail polish matches her outfit. Reds with red, greens with green - never together, thank god - purples with purple. Does she choose the outfit to go with the nail polish, or vice versa? Does it change daily without my knowing, or is it a weekly ritual?

The perfect song to accompany the frosty winter days that are so bright it feels like morning all day; until the sun sets at 3pm and darkness descends at 4pm, when everyone retreats indoors. Perfect to accompany my winter diet of hot black coffee with toast and jam. Other perfect winter music includes: Bon Iver, and Interpol. Winter is definately my favourite time of year.
