New Innovative Website Offers Free Prizes for Answering Questions!Lockerz.com is the brain child of Kathy Savvit, who was the former Vice President of Amazon.com and also, the former Chief Marketing Officer of American Eagle. It is funded by Liberty Media, which has shares in Bodybuilding.com, QVC, and Sirius Radio. The main purpose of Lockerz.com is to become the main homepage on the Internet. It attempts to integrate e-commerce, social networking and media into one main website. The site has been in private beta for over a year now and it is about to be released to the public.Currently, Lockerz is in its private beta stage and during this stage, they are testing out their functions to improve their user experience. As a reward for the users in the private beta stage, they are allowed to get prizes for free. These prizes include Paypal Cash, Macbooks, PS3s, Tvs, iPods and much more. These items are redeemed using a virtual currency known as ptz.To earn ptz, you answer daily questions, log in and you play video games. It is very easy to accumulate ptz to get FREE PAYPAL CASH.
In return, the Lockerz headquarters gains valuable information on how to run the site properly to meet user satisfaction. They have upgraded their servers multiple times and incorporated many elements were which introduced from user feedback; such as a user based advisory council to Lockerz.Lockerz is one of the greatest success stories in online commerce in the recent years. It has become one of the most popular websites in a short period of time. It's Facebook group grew tremendously and is now sitting at over 120k users. One of the reasons why Lockerz is so popular is because it is open to the whole world. Many websites are exclusive to North America only whereas Lockerz allows everyone with an internet connection to join.Lockerz continues to update frequently and they have just released version two of their website interface. This included a new design and a new subdomain for the redemption process. Having a subdomain allows Lockerz to isolate the traffic intended for the redemption process from the main site traffic. This reduces the load on their servers. In the meanwhile, if you want an invite to Lockerz, please fill the following form:enter your email to receive your Lockerz invite shortly, free and fast.

How does it work?

You need to earn PTZ to redeem prizes. You can earn Lockerz PTZ by the following:

Log-in daily - everytime you log-in after 24 hours, there is a button at the bottom-left of your screen you can click to claim 2 PTZ.
Invite a friend - people can only join Lockerz by invitation. My friends are really glad I introduced Lockerz to them.
Answer Dailies - "Dailies" is located at the bottom right of the screen. Just click on it and answer the question.
Watch videos via Play - Lockerz Play feature gives you 2 PTZ for every video you watch.

That is how you earn PTZ.

What can I get?

They exchange PTZ for several prizes. Among them are

Real Money via Paypal or Amazon
Electronics like iPods, game consoles and laptops
Novelty stuff like shirts, boards and the like.

Why and how is it legit?

I know it looks like a scam and it looks to good to be true. But there is a logical explanation where Lockerz gets its funding. This is how I think they get funding:

Dailies provide statistical data to (presumably) paying research groups. With millions of users answering the daily questions, the amount of data can be used by researchers, marketing personnel or who ever Lockerz clients may be.

Play feature alows content creators to distribute their works to thousands or millions of people everyday.

what is Z-LIST ?

2010-02-18T12:35:00.000-08:00

The Z-LIST is a very useful thing, as every Pointz you earn in your time at Lockerz, gets Doubled!

But as you know, to get something you have to do something as well.

To Become A Z-LIST member, or something like a VIP, you have to invite at least 20 people to Lockerz. When you do, the first thing that will happen , is that you will receive a FREE T-SHIRT
and sent to you, normally in 3-14 days(depends). You can choose your size in the settings area so it will be the right size to fit you well. With that, they will also show you, that they DO actually ship orders and are not a scam site, like many suggest.

And the best thing around it, is that also the future friends that you enroll, will also get you double the Pointz, meaning after you become a Z-LISTer, you will receive Pointz even faster. It is worth getting those 20 members. Really it is.

Request an invitation to lockerz and I will send you an invitation to Google wave
Google Wave is a project announced by Google at the Google I/O conference on May 28, 2009 [see above video] It is a web application and computing platform designed to bring together e-mail, instant messaging, wiki, and social networking, with a strong collaborative focus, mixed with spellchecker and translator extensions, which are able to work in concert, in real-time. It is planned to be released later in 2009

About Google Wave

Google Wave is a new model for communication and collaboration on the web, coming later this year.
Here’s a preview of just some of the aspects of this new tool.

What is a wave?

A wave is equal parts conversation and document. People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

A wave is shared. Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when.

A wave is live. With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time.

Lockerz.com : The Free Prize Site! Get your Invite Here!!

2010-02-10T11:55:00.000-08:00

If anyone is looking for an invite to this great site visit the link at the bottom of this post. It’ll link you to my google docs , which asks for your email, then I’ll send you an invite immediately. Join in on the fun at Lockerz to get Free prizes. See you on Lockerz.com!!

What exactly is Lockerz all about?
Lockerz is the place to go to buy the coolest stuff , watch exclusive video, discover new music, play the hottest games, hang out with your friends – and get rewarded for just about EVERYTHING you do on the site. One other thing you’ll love about Lockerz are PTZ (or “points”). PTZ are Lockerz’ currency that you earn whenever you buy, watch, play, share, invite friends, or even just show up on Lockerz. Redeem PTZ at the PTZ Place for great prizes such as computers to video games and all other electronics goodies.
So how exactly do you get points?
Well to get points or “PTZ” as lockerz likes to call them all you need to do is log in everyday for your daily 2 points and answer a “Daily” question. These questions are usually simple yes or no answers such as do you have a tatoo, or do you like rock and roll or rap music. It’s really quite simple to build up points quickly. I’ve been a member for around a month now and already have over 100 points which I can redeem for a video game or something else but more on that below.

So What can the PTZ get you?
As I said above they can get you anything from TV’s to computers, to video games. To put the points system into perspective let me explain how many points I have at this moment. I currently have been on lockerz for almost a month and have a little over 100 PTZ at the moment. Now this is enough to get a brand new video game for any system(xbox360, PS3, or Wii) all video games are 100 ptz. But you can get an I-pod touch for just 200 PTZ, or even a Macbook Pro for around 1000 PTZ. It’s really quite easy to accumalate PTZ quickly. Plus if you become a Z-List memeber (20 friends join) you get double the PTZ meaning 4 for login, 4 for the daily question. So go start getting PTZ by clicking the link at the bottom of the post to get involved and get some really cool FREE prizes!

Redeeming your PTZ for Prizes…
The Lockerz community has been growing so fast that it’s sometimes hard to get what you want when you have your PTZ to cash in. They restock all their prizes around the 15th of every month so be sure to get in on lockerz now so you can start building up your PTZ and redeem for something cool in about a month or so. Also make sure to keep up on when they are going to restock their supplys of prizes for that month and get on the site early since it will go really fast and they tend to replenish their gifts about 5 times in that one day. Just stick with it persistence is the key to cashing in your PTZ and getting something really cool
Proof of Prizes …..
To see proof that Lockerz is the real deal for free gifts just search on youtube for lockerz prizes and you’ll get a whole list of people that have recieved gifts and show them unboxing said gifts. Also provided below are some pics of proof that this site is legit.

How can I get an Invite this sounds really cool….
Well since it’s an invite only site I am more than happy to send anyone who wants an invite to this great site right now. All you have to do is go to my google docs link below and it’ll send me your email address which I can then send you the invite to get into Lockerz.
Once in the site just make sure you log on everyday and answer the daily question to build up PTZ so you can get something really nice. The site is in beta until December 1st, after that it’ll go live to the public acting much like an amazon.com to the select few people who get invites. Link to get an invite from me is below. Get an Invite to Lockerz Now!!! just supply your e-mail address below to get invited to this great site! This site is great you get points just for logging in everyday and more points for answering a simple yes or no question everyday. Then your points can be traded in for everything from computers, to video games , to all electronics, it's really awesome. And since it's a beta that's why they are giving away prizes to the first few members.

What will Lockerz be?
To me it seems as though Lockerz will be a portal of sorts, where members log in to access all kinds of neat and interesting features. From Listening to the latest music, to playing games online with one another, to review and then buying products for discounts, Lockerz will give incentives to all their members. Here is a brief explanation of the program from the team at Lockerz.com: Lockerz is the place to go to buy the coolest stuff at the lowest prices, watch exclusive video, discover new music, play the hottest games, hang out with your friends – and get rewarded for just about EVERYTHING you do on the site. Our mission is to be your daily habit, not a site for your parents or grandparents looking for their long-lost friends from Kindergarten. One other thing you’ll love about Lockerz are PTZ (or “Pointz”). PTZ are Lockerz’ proprietary loyalty “currency” that you earn whenever you buy, watch, play, share, invite friends, or even just show up on Lockerz. Redeem PTZ at the PTZ Place for incredible prizes, great products and dream experiences. Too Good to Be True? Why are we doing this? To thank you for joining early. To build a Lockerz community of cool, stylish, cutting-edge people who love to buy great brands. To give you a taste of how PTZ will work when we go live this fall. And to test out different prizes and PTZ levels. That’s key. This version of PTZ Place is a test. PTZ levels will change when the full Lockerz site launches. Lockerz is set to launch sometime in the Fall 09. Members who sign up now will get to explore and help shape the site before the launch. We hope you’ll join us.

Swagbucks vs. Lockerz

2010-02-10T11:33:00.001-08:00

Signing Up

SwagBucks
Signing up for SwagBucks is easy. You can either go to their website and sign up, or you can click another user's referral link and then sign up.
Lockerz
To sign up for Lockerz you need to receive an E-Mail invitation from another user. There is no signing up on their site and there is no referral link. You have to give someone else your E-Mail address so they can send you the invitation. It is a great idea, that way the users get more points because they have more people to invite, but it would be much better if their was atleast a referral link. Another thing that needs improvement is in the sign up form. It asks for your phone number. Most users become hesitant when seeing that and think the website is fake.
Overall view of Signing Up
SwagBucks and Lockerz both have their perks, but being forced to have to sign up under someone else gives Lockerz the lead. Many SwagBucks users miss out on referral points because most people sign up on their own. With Lockerz' system, everyone wins.

Earning Points

SwagBucks
Earning points for SwagBucks is very (very) difficult if you are not popular on the internet. It's easy to earn points by referring people, but unfortunately you only earn points from the referral if the person you refer earns points. This can be very good or very bad. Most people aren't popular on the internet so earning points on SwagBucks is usually difficult. You can earn points by searching which will most likely give you 1-2 points a day and you can look around for SwagCodes which are hard to find unless you are on the internet constantly. They almost always give you a mere 1 point and aren't available everyday. There is also a video game trade-in program and a used cell phone trade-in program. Don't trade in your video games! They give you less points than you deserve. Use another website that gives you money instead. The cell trade-in is still underpaying you, but there aren't many other places to trade them in so it's not so bad if you trad in old cell phones here. You can also shop and earn. On websites that are partnered with them, you get one point for every five dollars spent. It's great if you are a big spender but useless if you aren't planning on buying anything. Every once and a while there are also special ways to get points like sending in pictures of yourself in a swagbucks T-shirt, submitting the best poll out of thousands of people, or making a YouTube video. These opportunities don't come often though. An average number of points per day is around 3 if you don't refer people. The effort level to get points is very high so if you don't put effort in you will get around 1 point per day.
Lockerz
So far Lockerz has three ways to earn points (they call them ptz and so will I from now on). You can refer and instantly earn 2 ptz when the person you refer signs up, unlike SwagBucks. The next way to earn ptz is to sign in. If you sign in you will recieve 2 ptz. Although you can only get 2 ptz a day from signing in, it's still a ridiculously easy way to earn. The last way to earn is by answering the dailies. There is one question each day and if you answer it the day it's posted then you recieve 2 ptz. It doesn't require complex answers either, just put something simple. There's also something called the Z-list. If you refer 20 people you earn double the ptz! It's an amazing and easy deal. you also receive a free T-Shirt! The average of ptz per day is 4 without referring people and it only takes 5 minutes to earn that! Very simple!
Overall view of Earning Points
Although SwagBucks has more ways to earn points, it requires much more effort and you still earn an average of less points. Lockerz is easy and quick with earning.

Point Value

SwagBucks
Points aren't worth much at SwagBucks. Unless you refer many people, you have no chance at getting anything expensive (unless you use it like crazy for atleast 2 years).
Lockerz
Lockerz ptz have a very high value. You don't need to refer people to earn expensive prizes.
Overall
Lockerz easily wins. Here are a few point comparisons. An iPod Touch at Swagbucks is 3000 points, while an iPod Touch at Lockerz is only 600. A PSP 3000 is 3165 points at SwagBucks. At Lockerz it is 100. The prizes will rise at Lockerz when it is out of beta but I doubt it will be anything close to that high.

Prizes

SwagBucks
SwagBucks has a huge variety of prizes that are almost always in stock.
Lockerz
Lockerz range of prizes is pretty small and is out of stock often. They are still in beta though so their should be more prizes and more in stock in the near future.
Overall
SwagBucks easily wins

Server

SwagBucks
I haven't noticed any downtime on their server. Their website is always working and its somewhat fast. The only problems that I have experienced are when you click links on their search engine. They sometimes don't work unless you refresh. Not bad at all.
Lockerz
Since Lockerz is new, they weren't prepared for the huge increase of users. They have had a lot of downtime recently and the site was very slow. This problem occurs less often now, but it still occurs (such as right now, as I'm writing this).
Overall
SwagBucks wins. In the future, when Lockerz has more experience, than it will definitely be more stable and fast. SwagBucks has been around for a while

Customer Service

SwagBucks
To be honest, I do not enjoy SwagBucks customer service. They haven't answered some of my questions from a month ago! In fact, they've never answered any of my questions.
Lockerz
Although Lockerz is brand new and very busy, they've answered both of my questions within 6 hours of asking them (one answer was around 6 minutes from when I asked).
Overall
Lockerz wins this, without a doubt.

SwagBucks-2 Lockerz-4

Entertainment

SwagBucks
SwagBucks provides some entertainment. Since you aren't sure when you are going to win, it's always more exciting when you do. They also have a blog, Twitter trivia, a regular Twitter page, and a YouTube page.
Lockerz
Could use some work. Nothing really entertaining yet. Their two main entertainment sections will be released with the official release of Lockerz. They have a Twitter page and dailies. That's basically it.
Overall
SwagBucks has the upperhand, but that will most likely change in the future.

Lockerz FAQ

2010-02-10T11:23:00.000-08:00

1. What is Lockerz: Lockerz is an invitation-only website created to connect members through commerce, content and community. Watch exclusive video, discover new music, play games, connect with friends, and get rewarded for it. The more often you visit, the more opportunities you have to earn PTZ (or “Pointz”), Lockerz’ own form of currency. Lockerz was founded in March, 2009.

2. What types of products can be purchased at Lockerz: Members will be able to purchase a wide range of products from apparel, accessories, electronics, games, sports equipment and other products from hundreds of well known brands. Members will also be able to purchase digital assets such as music, videos, art, and decals.

3. Is Lockerz a scam: Lockerz is a real company. It is funded by Liberty Media, one of the largest media companies in the US. The Chief Executive Officer of Lockerz is Kathy Savitt, a former executive at Amazon.com and American Eagle Outfitters.

4. Why is Lockerz giving away prizes at low levels on PTZ Place: First, we just want to thank you for getting involved at the very beginning. You rock. Plus, you’re helping us build the coolest group of brand trendsetters every time you invite friends to Lockerz...but you probably knew that. And finally, we want you to try out the different PTZ levels to get a taste of how everything will work when we go live this fall. This version of the PTZ Place is a test for us to figure out what you like, what we like, and how together we can make Lockerz unbelievable when it officially launches.

5. Why is everything “Fresh Out” in PTZ Place: We are “fresh out” because the overwhelming early response to Lockerz blew right through our initial inventory. We will re-stock PTZ Place with new items starting this Friday, August 14.

6. Why aren’t people receiving invites: The overwhelming early response to Lockerz has occasionally maxed out our capacity to send email invitations. We are still in a beta learning phase. We are adding capacity every day. You should now be able to send and receive invites successfully. Invites that you already entered into the system should have been sent by now. You still may not be able to invite friends directly through Facebook. We are working really hard to fix that fast.

7. Will Lockerz ship internationally: Once Lockerz begins selling products this fall, we will ship to many countries outside the US (check back at launch time for a complete list).

8. When will I get my Z-List t-shirt: Please allow 7-10 days for delivery.

9. How many accounts can I have: Members are entitled to one account per person. Each person within a household can have their own account.

10. I want to play the game again, but can’t: The game is a one-time-only way to earn bonus PTZ when you first join Lockerz.

11. How will Lockerz make money: Starting this fall, you will be able to purchase products at Lockerz. But don’t worry, PTZ Place will still be around, with way more prizes and experiences than there are now. Members will be able to earn PTZ every time they buy, watch, play, share, invite friends, or simply show up on Lockerz. PTZ will be redeemable for both products and experiences.

12. When will Lockerz launch: Lockerz is launching in stages. PTZ Place, Lockerz’ Prize Redemption Center, is now live. Other components will be launched soon. The complete site will be launched this fall.
