I was super excited to do an engagement shoot for Sara and Stephen. What a seriously fun couple. I can't wait for them to tie the knot this summer!

I've know Sara her whole life and she is awesome! I mean I was just talking to her mom the other day about how she was full on reading at age 3. In fact she was tested at a 7th grade level when she was only in 1st grade! Talk about a smarty pants. Oh and not only is she smart, she's so musical too. She's got some major piano skills. I love her! I hear Stephen is just as awesome, so I think they are going to make a brilliant couple.

I love photographing newborns! They are so tiny and beautiful and I find shooting them very calming. Maybe it because it's such a different pace than shooting families or small children. I loved every second of it. And baby Sonia was so sweet!

Call me crazy, but I decided to make my children costumes this year. It doesn't matter that we have a whole basket full of costumes the girls got for Christmas last year. I kind of love how they turned out and my kids in them just make them even cuter!

Oh how I love fall! It is such a beautiful time of year, especially in Utah. The leaves start to change color, the air is cool, I can finally break out the sweaters and boots.

To take advantage of the season, my little family and I headed up the canyon, played in the woods, tossed around leaves, and made memories..

This beautiful mama, Inna, and I go way back. We first met in Sweden ten years ago. Eventually we both moved to the States and randomly reconnected a few years ago in an aerobic class in Utah! It's crazy I know.

We did a shoot with just Inna and her two beautiful kids. They were awesome. A random storm rolled in and almost blew us away. They were all such good sports in the wind, cold, and the rain that started falling just before we finished.

My kids have a wonderful dad! He is always up for changing diapers, brushing teeth, getting jammies on, taking them to the potty, and helping them with whatever they need. He plays with them, reads to them, and even sings them songs when he puts them to bed.

A lot is changing for us around here. My husband just finished the MBA program in Tucson, so we're off in search of a new job. We're heading to Utah during this transitional period.

Now it's time to pack up this little apartment of ours. I'm feeling overwhelmed just thinking about it!

These are some of my most favorite people! I spend quite a bit of time with Michelle and Lily, since we do a type of joy school preschool together. They are great friends!

What makes these photos more special is the beautiful couch. When Michelle and Sam were newly married Michelle bought this couch second hand and Sam used his mad skills to reupholster it for her. So thoughtful and sweet.

I was so excited when my new friend asked me to photograph her family! Her mom, brother, and sister (+ boy friend) drove over 30 hours to for a short visit and so it was a perfect chance for family photos before they headed back.

I love the photo above! You would never have known that one of the little ones was just stabbed by a crazy long cactus spine a few minutes earlier, before I had even taken my first shot. With tears and a down-turned lip, I thought we might be doomed with a start like that, but I was surprised by how quick things turned around and how great the little ones did.
