If you have been dating someone for a while, you may wonder if he is “the one”, and in your haste to find Mr. Right, you are sometimes blinded by your feelings, and can sometimes end up with somebody who is really not good for you.

It is important for any woman such as yourself to understand that if you are not completely honest with yourself and do not see the relationship for what it really is, you could very well find yourself 10 years down the track in a marriage you wish you’d never got into. So most likely, before you enter into a long term relationship you want to find out how to determine if he is right for me.

Some of the consequences of choosing the wrong person to spend your life with include:

Consequence 1. You will always feel that something is missing

Consequence 2. You will know deep down that you deserve better

Consequence 3. You may spend many years feeling trapped with somebody who is just not right for you

Consequence 5. You will live your life feeling unhappy and unfulfilled

It is pretty fair to say that most women, when head over heels in love, will not be able to see things as clearly as the people around her. So to find out if this person really is the right one for you, try following these six tips:

Tip 1. Find out what do your friends and family think about your relationship. Do they like him, do they hate him, what are their thoughts? Remember, your friends and family love you and want the best for you, so what they have to say should not be taken lightly.

Tip 2. Think about how you feel about your partner in your heart. Are you trying to kid yourself into thinking this relationship is perfect, or is it really imperfect? Be totally honest with yourself, because if you’re not, you will eventually live to regret your dishonesty with yourself.

Tip 3. Consider how he treats you. Does he treat you with love and respect? Is he treating you in the way that you know you deserve to be treated? If you put yourself in your best friend’s shoes, how would she feel about your relationship?

Tip 4. Think about how much you have in common. Do you have common beliefs, values and interests? Are you truly compatible for the long term?

Tip 5. Think about the way he makes you feel most of the time. If you are constantly walking on eggshells, or you are often annoyed or angry at him for whatever reason, then the answer here is obvious. If however he treats you like a queen, worships the ground you walk on, and you know he would do absolutely anything for you, and you feel the same way about him (and this is important!), then chances are your relationship is off to a great start.

Tip 6. And one of the most important ways to determine if he is right for you is to ask yourself this question, If my mom or sister or aunt was the same age as I would I feel comfortable with knowing that he was her companion? If your answer to this question is no, you should seriously rethink the relationship because if he isn’t good enough for your family or people you love he surely isn’t good enough for you.

Finding out if he is right for you is as simple as looking at your relationship with complete honesty. Look at your relationship from both yours and his perspective, and consider how your friends and family view your relationship as well, because it is those closest to you that will see your relationship for what it truly is.

So, for a successful relationship, it is always better that you contribute the maximum and make your partner feel secure about the relationship.

Love is about ignoring the trifle little details

If you come across little things that irritate you about your partner, then the better thing to do would be to talk it over and find a solution rather than make a problem out if it! Also you could see the issues and still love your partner for he / she might be worth much more than a trifle little issue!

Respect is what every women craves, but to be disrespected is, for many, the epitome of rudeness. Why some men disrespect women is not a toss up, but rather a given. Disrespect is a symptom of something far deeper than an action. It is an attitude that stems from believing that womanhood is not admirable.

When men believe that women are inferior to them, or that women will allow disrespect, they will show their contempt for them by talking rudely to them, ignoring them, or treating them like an animal. If women go along with this for even a whiff of time, they silently confirm that the man has a right to do these things without reprisal. Thus, the man continues on and the woman never shines in her own beautiful light as a creature who is to be revered and honored.

Men are taught at an early age the concept of respect or disrespect. Parents live it before them. If a male child constantly views women being castigated before them, then they derive the opinion that this is just how women are to be treated. If fathers always put mothers down before their children, the children will bring to their tables this same attitude towards women. I have seen this right before my eyes.

Another reason men disrespect women is that the woman represents no challenge to their male ego. The woman is “free” or “loose” with herself. She does not value her womanhood before the man and shows no restraint at any time. She is like a bargain basement item in the man’s sight. He can never appreciate her as a virtuous woman and doubts her honesty and integrity when being in her company or presence. Unless the woman begins to put a price tag on herself, she will remain a bargain basement item.

Then there are men who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. At these times, they are not in their right minds. They hardly know what they are doing. To slam a woman around, address her in disrespectful tones is something they do at those moments. If she does not remove herself from his presence at these moments, she cannot blame anyone for her treatment.

There are men who are self involved in a power struggle. When a man feels belittled, put down, and like an underdog, he will treat a woman rudely to feel big inside. He’s the great one, and not she. That brings to him a feeling of superiority and elevation if she allows it. He will repeat these actions towards her again and again each time he needs to experience the much needed feeling of power.

Women must then take control of themselves in order to be appreciated, respected, and loved. They must recognize that they are not here to be trampled upon in any form. They are the beautiful counterpart of men. They are the precious dewdrops from heaven that God designed should complement men. They are delicate and supportive, but not pieces of trash to be thrown to the dogs. If women believe men are dogs, then they should change their viewpoint and see men as rocks of strength, towers of support, and in their proper roles, leaders of communities and homes.

As men and women understand their God given role in relationship to each other and society, they will begin to change their behavior to reflect what they should be. Some will need therapist to help their brains be reprogrammed to accept these character building concepts. All will need God and His power to help them arise from the prison of disrespect to respect.

When men wake up and realize that women can be their best friends, and helpers, they will begin to see them as a part of them. They will begin to see that women can help make or break them as a man. They will want a good woman by their side, and they will want to work to keep her there.

Not every woman you date online or meet onFacebook will look like her profile pic. Some women post profile pics from years ago. Some upload profile pics from pounds ago. You, of course, want to avoid those women. So how can you tell if she will look like her profile pic? No system is foolproof, but there are a few ways you can tell.

1. There’s only one picture on the whole profileAnthony James, 34, of Seattle, had been corresponding for a few weeks with a woman he met through an online dating site when she invited him on a ski trip. He was nervous to go away for the weekend with someone he had never met in person — they lived in different cities — but he went for it. He did it primarily because her photo was hot. It showed her wearing a skimpy bikini on the beach. That it was the only photo on her profile didn’t give him pause until they actually met.

“In the photo she was wearing really big sunglasses, and they hid the fact that her face looked like a catcher’s mitt. She was a chronic smoker who woke up at 5 AM every day because she needed a fix. It definitely took a toll on her looks.”

2. All the pics look several years oldJames should have learned his lesson after his encounter with the Marlboro woman, but he did not. Another of his online paramours was in her late 20s, but posted photos of herself at sorority formals and other college-era events. The woman he eventually met was 50 pounds heavier than the one in the photos, by James’ estimation. Still, he found her weight less troubling than the feeling he’d been deceived. “It wouldn’t have been so bad if she’d at least warned me,” he said.

3. All the pics are taken from the same angleEven if there are several up-to-the-minute photos on a profile, you might not be getting an idea of that person’s true appearance. For example, says Kurt O’Connor, 32, of Atlanta, “The oldest trick in the book is when the camera is up high and the woman’s face is tilting down. It’s supposed to say, I’m sultry and sexy, just look in my eyes. What it really means is, I’ve got an extra chin.”

4. The profile contains no whole body picsWhen O’Connor was new to Atlanta, he used MySpace to meet local women. This was obviously a few years ago. In retrospect, he says, it was a red flag when one woman never posted any pictures of herself from the neck down. When they met, he explains, “She was about five feet tall and three feet around. It was like a happy Russian nesting doll was coming at me.”

If you do end up on a date with a woman who bears little resemblance to her hot profile pic, don’t assume she lied for malicious reasons. According to Charlotte Kay, a Los Angeles-based marriage-family therapist (MFT) intern, the biggest reason people lie about their appearance is desperation.

“It’s a matter of people wanting a connection with someone and trying their utmost to up their odds in that happening. They’ll do anything to get someone to respond to them. They might think in this fantastical way that when they meet someone in person, they’ll be able to win them over, so it really doesn’t matter anyway.”

With that in mind, consider going back through your own dating profile pics. Are you sure your hair hasn’t receded a little since that trip to Italy? And what’s up with those rowing team photos from college? Remember, the desire to meet someone who is honest and comfortable with their appearance goes both ways.
