Silva's reign as MBGN queen ended in May 2012. The ex-beauty queen has now settled down with her own beauty outfit. She recently launched 'Silva Hair' on Sunday, July 22, 2012. Her store deals with hair products.

According to a report by Bon, popular Yoruba actor, Soji Taiwo otherwise known as 'Oshe Omo Banke' has abandoned his wife and two children in Nigeria for a Canadian lover identified as Khadijat.

Khadijat is the ex-hubby of a Lagos hotelier, Moroof Simba. She has reportedly been spoiling Soji with lots of cash and other gift items. Khadijat was reported to have given the actor about one million naira recently.

The gist is that Soji has left Nigeria for Canada in other to meet his new found love.

Top Nollywood actor and politician, Richard Mofe Damijo popularly known as RMD has punch rigid at ex-model turned blogger, Linda Ikeji over an alleged false story published about him by the model and blogger.

The Nollywood actor, who turned 51 yesterday, also warned Linda to desist from spreading false stories about people. He told the blogger to go get a life for herself.

Linda was said to have posted on her blog today that RMD had acquired a 250million naira home in Asaba, Delta State.

Reacting to the story, RMD said, "It has been brought to my attention that one Linda Ikeji character, who I understand is a gossip, has put up a story about my N250m [house].

Stating further, "ordinarily, I will never dignify her type with a response. But with the calls, texts and BBMs I have received, I'd like to sound a warning to her (Ikeji) to desist from fabricating stories about me and get a life.

"Knowing the worth of a property is not rocket science. And if you find a dignified career path and work hard at it, you will be too busy and successful to spread unfounded lies about people," the veteran actor ended.

STAR ACTOR JIM IYKE IN COURT OVER N15 MILLION FRAUD

Controversial actor, Jim Iyke was on Thursday arraigned before an Abuja court for allegedly fleecing one Habiba Abubakar of the sum of N15 Millon.

Abubarkar was said to have petitioned the Inspector general of Police on August 8, to investigate the fraud.

In the petition, Abubakar accused Jim of deceiving her into acquiring 15% equity from his company, Untamed Records Ltd and as soon as the money was paid into his account, the actor converted the money to his personal use and went on shopping spree all around the world.

The petitioner further said the accused resorted to beating her and threatened to kill her when she requested for her money.

Jim pleaded not guilty to all the charges and was granted bail on N500,000 with two sureties in like sum. Case has been adjourned till December 9, 2011 for further hearing.

Well you have been hearing gist from places and sources about the album launch, but just so you know, they are all unofficial. We are the only ones allowed to give you certicfied true, Ccity gist. So, it went down at the Indigo O2 on the 28th april 2011! Do we want to know why they chose that date? Well, let me tell you 29th was the Royal wedding… and we didnt want the Queen of England, the Royal family to have an empty church, because all fans would be at the show. So they entered into an agreement with the Royal Family and chose 28th. It was also part of the agreement to not publish any of our news until they finish their buzz, so we had to respect that. We wish! we wish oh! That is our portion in a couple of years oh! When political and royal events will revolve aroundour functions. But until then… the choc boiz are Big but not bigger than the Royal family…especially in England We didnt want to spend all we spent on hype and then have an empty hall! NEVER.

The MI2 album launch was bigger than the Abuja and Lagos put together, that goes to prove the truth about Jesus not appreciated in his home town so his people could not be healed! I was almost in tears, when i saw the clip, i said to myself! “I missed!” And i thought the launches in Nigeria was nice! oh well…
So lets get into the main gist. The show wasnt just Music, it was a mix of Music obviously, comedy and dance.
For the Comedy, We had Seyi law. He was great as usual, but he got knocked out by a fellow comedian called “Kevin Jay” a white man who has perfected his nigerian accent and knows all Nigerian jokes! o boy! i dont know which was funny, the fact that it was a white dude trying to act Nigerian or the fact that the jokes were actually funny. For dance, we had an energic dance group to warm up the dance floor.
Music!! the part we have all been waiting for… MI knocked it off from track one, with the crowd helping him out. The Choc boiz marched out with so much swag and wardrobe on point. Ice prince performed his hit single “oleku” feat Brymo,Jesse Kags performedhis hit song “Jargo”, Waje landed in London and went straight to the Venue and MURDERED the track 10 song, one naira. Words cannot describe the excitement. You need to stay glued to this page, because the video clip will be upsooner than you think. The Show, climaxed with MI giving out pieces of clothing to the fans! In reference to the “He calls her Ruth” article we know what that means. Over all it was a great show.

Just after the MI2 album launch in London, we were all set for the shoot of the Ice Prince second video for his song Superstar.It was special for two reasons. It was Ice Prince’s Video, obviously and also it is Katungs first video for CITY as Head of Chocolate City Movies.

For Cobhams and Ojuola, it was truly a blessing to celebrate their union surrounded by their close family and friends. Mo’Hits Records Deny Ikechukwu Alliance

Multiple sources close to rapper Ikechukwu Onunaku have confirmed that he has truly left Mo Hits Records for good. However, in an interesting twist to the tale, the Mo’Hits Records insist the award-winning rapper was never signed to the label in the first place.

Before now, Ikechukwu had flaunted Mo Hits on his Facebook and Twitter pages as his official label and represents the label at every given opportunity.

Indications that the rapper had signed up to Mo’Hits sprang up when he featured on several Mo’Hits songs/videos and vice versa. Before parting ways with Storm Record, Killz, as he’s otherwise referred to, was a frequent visitor to the Mo’ Hits crew Maryland home, which stimulated the belief that the muscular rapper’s relationship with the label might be beyond friendship.

‘I won’t say I’m ignorant of the whole story, but Ikechukwu was never signed to the label, he’s just a friend of the house. Both parties only enjoy a friendly relationship and nothing more. I’m surprised when people say he’s part of the crew’, the label’s manager Sunday Are told NET.

However, even the friendship that the parties shared may have been seriously damaged according to other sources. ‘I can’t say anything about it now. Although I know the story from A – Z but I can’t tell you anything’, Ikechukwu’s close friend who refused to divulge any information regarding the break up told us.

Killz leaves Don Jazzy’s stable with no suggestion of where his next move would be, and no one in the know has been forthcoming with details of events that led to his departure. In addition, Ikechukwu did not immediately respond to NET enquiries.

Fresh off an extended tour of the United States, the Okoye brothers recently took delivery of some brand new wheels courtesy of Coscharis Motors. As the family moved into their newly completed Omole mansion, all four brand new auto mobiles moved in with them, relegating their previous fleet (which included Hummer jeeps ) to the background. So the equation is finally complete; brand new home, brand new cars, it’s a brand new P. Square!
According to their spokesperson, the Kora Award winners have just taken delivery of two Range Rover Sports, one X6 BMW and a Jaguar, all 2010 models which set them back a cool N50 million. This calculation is apparently without their eye-popping N100 million home located at Lola Holloway Street, Omole Estate Phase 1 where they’ve finally moved to after months of living in a hotel.
The Okoye’s accommodation problem unravelled in the most public when the twins were evicted from their rented duplex in the same estate; the owner of the duplex alleged that the Okoyes messed his house up.
Thankfully, all that’s in the past now, Paul and Peter Okoye were reportedly attacked with love and accolades in the United States by their Nigerian and American fans, while on their 45-day musical tour which ended July 24.

I was Kidnapped By Unemployed Graduates – Pete Edochie

Lagos, Nigeria - Popular Nigerian actor Pete Edochie, freed Monday night by the gunmen who kidnapped him a day earlier, has identified his kidnappers as "young graduates who did not have employment and were looking for how to survive".

Speaking with newsmen at his residence in Enugu, in Nigeria's South-east, Tuesday, Edochie described his experience in the hands of his abductors as 'ugly'.

He said, however, that no ransom was paid for his release, though the kidnappers had demanded 10 million naira (US$66,000), and that he did not lose any of his material possessions, including his telephone handset.

Edochie also said he neither knew where his abductors took him nor where he was dropped off.

``All I know is that I was able to pick a cab that took me to a hotel in Awka,'' he said. ``They told me they had no business kidnapping me at all. They did not manhandle me. They did not blindfold me, they did not gag me. They did not hack me. They did not tie me as they said I was their father.

``And somehow they knew a lot about me that I am good to people and that I assist people, particularly the down-trodden. They did not hide their faces and discussed freely with me. They bought me some drinks, made sure I did not `get alchoholically dry','' he said.

The actor said crime would be reasonably checked if government could ensure the welfare of the unemployed youth, as done in the developed countries.

Edochie's abduction was the latest in a series of kidnappings, now spreading across the country, which are apparently aping the situation in the restive Niger Delta region.

The wave of kidnappings has forced many states to pass tough laws prescribing the death penalty and life jail for convicted kidnappers.

During this time JJC became a mentor to Nigerian superstars D'banj and Don Jazzy.JJC & 419 Squad, whose hit songs included "Gbao", "Atide" and "Kilonsele", broke new ground with their fresh fusion of hip-hop and African flavours, with lyrics in Pidgin, Yoruba and English. The group managed to reach out to European and World Music audiences as well Nigerian audiences, and they performed at countless events, including major festivals such as WOMAD in the UK and also at MTV Base Africa’s launch concert in Abuja, alongside Ludacris, 2-Face and Asa. Their music was used in films (Stephen Frears’ Oscar-nominated Dirty Pretty Things) and on TV (Channel 4's drama Stealing Lives) and tracks were included on internationally released CD compilations. JJC & 419 Squad picked up a number of awards, too, such as the 2004 Kora award for 'Best African Group'. JJC, a true pioneer of the Afro Pop music scene, returns to the spotlight with brand new solo material. "We Are Africans" (feat. J-Rock and Randy of Big Brovaz) is the first single of his forthcoming album, entitled "United States of Africa".But don't call it a comeback – JJC never really went away.
