Deiva Thirumagal - An emotional roller-coaster ride:release date july 15th: watch videos

Well, all Chiyaan Vikram fans are anticipating as to when their idol's 'Deiva Thirumagal' will hit theatres. Directed by AL Vijay the film sees Vikram in a never-seen-before role as that of a mentally challenged man with the IQ of a five-year-old.

The film has stellar performances by Anushka Shetty, who the audience will get to know in a totally different avatar sans the grease paint; as well as Amala Paul, who is believed to have carried a very tough role with lan.

M.S. Bhaskar and Santhanam will provide the much-needed comedy element in this emotional drama.

'Deiva Thirumagal' deals with how a mentally challenged man undergoes an emotional battle with his child and a wife who do not want him. Vikram, for the versatile actor that he is, is reported to have delivered a great performance in this film. Touted to touch the emotions of any movie-goer, this film promises to be yet another milestone in Vikram's portfolio.

Reliable sources have revealed that this film will see a good dose of scenes from the Chennai High Court.

According to Khan, the film's title stands for "Random Access: Version One" as well as the mythological character Ravana. This film will reportedly haveShahrukh Khan performing his own stunts.

Filming

The shooting was originally supposed to begin in Miami, USA, but due to budget concerns this was scrapped.The first phase of filming began in India in March 2010 till May 2010 in Mumbai's Film City and Goa. The crew then moved on to London in June 2010 where the filming with the entire cast took place during July–August. In an interview, Khan stated that the remaining portions would be completed in India and would require a further 6 months of post production.

Khan also requested his long-time collaborator & director Karan Johar to be present during shooting in London. While they were in London, media reports suggested Johar may have directed some romantic portions of the film; this was later denied by the director.

Casting

Kareena Kapoor plays the female lead alongside Shahrukh Khan in the film whilst Arjun Rampal will be seen as the villain. During an appearance on the chat show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Khan stated that Jackie Chan was "approached for a role in the film". Khan had reportedly sent Chan the detailed script of the film, along with the action sequences and a brief synopsis of his character; it was later confirmed that Chan would not be part of the project. In July 2010, Khan announced that Chinese-American actor Tom Wu would be part of the film.

Music

In September 2010, reports indicated that Khan had signed Hans Zimmer to compose the background score for the film;it was later dismissed as a rumor by the film's director.Music composersVishal-Shekhar were signed on to work on the film's soundtrack along with Akon recording two songs for the film. The singer arrived in India on March 8, 2010 and recorded the songs. In May 2011, it was reported that Chammak Challo, one of the two songs sung by Akon, was leaked on the internet. SRK depressed from the news told that the leaked song Chammak Challo is not the original version and the original version will be available in the album, which is planned to be released during mid of August or end of August.

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth returns in Chennai on Wednesday night, nearly one-and-a-half month after he flew out to Singapore for medical treatment.

The actor will be accompanied by his wife Latha Rajinikanth and two daughters - Aishwarya and Soundarya.

Sources close to the family said that the actor will drive straight to his farm house near here and take rest there for about a month.

The matinee idol is expected to resume shooting for the movie Rana, produced by Ochre Studios headed by his daughter Soundarya.

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is cast opposite him in the movie directed by K.S.Ravikumar.
Security at the airport is being beefed up as a large number of the actor's fans are expected to turn up there when the superstar arrives here by Singapore Airlines.

Festoons, banners and posters have been put up by the actor's fans along the roads leading to the airport.

The 60-year-old actor, who made his mark as a character actor in the movie "Aarulirunthu Arupathu Varai" (From Six to 60 Years), was flown to Singapore May 27 and admitted to the Mount Elizabeth Hospital the next day.

Rajinikanth was discharged from the hospital last month but he continued to remain in the island country for periodic check-ups and to get sufficient rest.

On May 13, he was admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre here with fever and fluid retention following acute gastro-intestinal and respiratory problems. He was discharged from hospital on 28th May.

At the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, Rajinikanth underwent advanced treatment, including hemodialysis.
Rajinikanth was earlier admitted to St. Isabel Hospital April 29 after a bout of vomiting, and was discharged in the evening.

On 5th May, he was again admitted to the ICU of St. Isabel Hospital after allergic bronchitis and fever.
