First of all I believe in the word of God and I believe in the wonder working power of prayer. With that said, there's one thing I detest more than anything else in the world, and that's a Christian who have no respect for God, themselves or others. I Am totally shocked at how this couple had decided to use something as serious as a scandalous affair to try and get rating and money for themselves.

I'm having a hard time believing in their latest request. How in the world you going to request that folks go on a nearly month-long fast for your marriage? WHY? Is this not crazy? These two should have never put their business in the streets, we the world did not have to know what was going on behind close doors. Fast and pray for your own marriage. I'm not doing it.

Update: "This is clearly a good setup for season 3 of the reality show, but i'm not interested."

It look like "The Boy Scouts’" vote yesterday to allow and accept openly gay boy scouts has ruffle a few feathers among critics of the new policy and has force some supports of it to spring into action. A group of supporters who wanted the ban to remain said they will host a meeting next month to start the process of creating “a new character development organization for boys.” At the same time, gay equality advocates vowed to help the Scouts grow membership and assist troops in crafting guidelines for handling Scouts who come out as gay.

But according to reports for the last decade there have been an alternative to the boy scouts with names like Pathfinders (Seventh-day Adventist), Royal Ambassadors (Southern Baptist) and Royal Rangers (Assemblies of God).

At least not in Georgia any way. In the last couple of years it has been a fairly common practice to hold graduation ceremonies in churches. But, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution unlike in years past, none of the DeKalb County high school graduation ceremonies will occur in churches this year.

This is a big move for Dekalb County Schools, considering they have used Bishop Eddie Long's New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia for many years in the past. Some say it's the right thing to do while others or questioning the school board move. I also read a comment stating that Cobb County which is also located in Georgia in one year held over four graduation ceremonies at Turner Chapel AME Church in Marietta.

Personally, I've always viewed this particular arrangement between church and school as simply a business transaction where the school is paying the church to use their facilities for a graduation ceremony. Never understood the big deal here!

I do remember last year when the young lady refused to go to her graduation because it was being held at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.

Throughout the course of life, we all have opportunities to take credit for ourselves when we shouldn’t. Yesterday, there was a surprising hot intense debate taking place on Facebook. It was interesting and yet disturbing at the same time. It seem that some folks wanted to give Iyanla "Fix My Life" the credit for fixing Maia Campbell life while others wanted to turn the spotlight to God for being the fixer upper for Maia life.

After Maia appearance on "Fix My Life" back in December with host Iyanla , where the young lady poured out of her heart and soul about her life struggles and addiction.....we all remember that. But, from the look of things today, Maia life has taken a big and wonderful turnaround for the best. Maia took to her Instagram page to reveal some behind the scene images where she appears to be prepping and shooting for a TV One series....Good for her!

Most of us remember and love Maia Campbell for her starring role as “Tiffany” from the hit TV show “In The House.” Maia has overcome a lot of public shame in the last couple of months and years. Her story is one of inspiration and so is her facebook page. To God be the glory, Maia look very happy. Apart from HIM, we can do nothing. God gets all of the glory! Every choir member in America salutes and remember you Rev. Gerald Thompson for your powerful foot stomping music ministry. Back in the old black church, on any given Sunday......1st and 3rd or 2nd and 4th you could find a church choir marching into the sanctuary swaying and leaning to music by the late Rev. Gerald Thompson.

My heartfelt prayers and condolences go out to Rev. Gerald Thompson family, friends and fans. Yesterday, Rev. Thompson transition from time present to the place where time no longer exist. He was surrounded by his love ones. Rev.Gerald Thompson was a gifted singer/songwriter, musician, arranger and producer, he is also, and most importantly an anointed preacher and minister of the Gospel. Rev. Gerald Thompson is recognized and respected for his unique songwriting ability.

Just a reminder, let us enjoy the people God have given to us because one day He will require them back.

Question Of The Day: Why Do Many Christians Who Join Fraternities or Sororities When Ask Why, Cannot Give A Biblical Sound Answer For Why They Joined?

I found the two cute pics in my Face book timeline this morning and thought them to be cute. I also found the below questions while doing a quick Google search for Christians, Sororities and Fraternities:

"Are sororities, fraternities and secret societies outside of God's will for Christians? How might belonging to a fraternal organization impact the life of a Christian? Should Christians take the oath of fraternal organizations?"

I found some very interesting info to say the least. But what really floored me in my search was when I stumble upon this particular website that had been developed exclusive to help Christians denounce the Greek Organizations altogether by coming out from among them as scripture instructs.

I know this is one of those hot button issues that affect Christians now and into the future to come. And it doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon.

Some say,when Christians are asked why they join these organization they cannot give a sound answer for why they joined, but instead get very defensive. Some say, the are followers of Christ and they have pledge and taken an oath and flat out refuse to renounce their letters and oaths. Who's right?

Some folks will never ever understand the pain of these ladies, especially if one has never been apart of or grew up in a controlling religion. I did, my beloved granny was strict COGIC and believe me she didn't play the radio.

In my opinion the Fix My Life episode Saturday night that features the Pace Sisters was by far one of the best yet. I really don't believe the ladies let loose with the pain as Iyanla may have hoped they would have done. I really believe the sisters held back a lot pain and they left a lot of pain in their prayer closet. This episode was good in exposing to some and introducing to others some of the hoary that can/do take place within some strict Black Christian homes. Like I stated in a previous post, I Am surprise!

Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick Jr. has gone public with his recent prostate cancer diagnosis to prompt other men to get screened. Bishop McKissick Jr. said he hopes sharing his story can help save lives.

“I want to make sure people get tested. I have been tested annually and that led them to catch it,” he said.

McKissick, 47, was diagnosed with stage 2 prostate cancer less than two weeks ago. He is to have surgery in a few weeks, followed by a few more weeks of recovery time. Article Here!

I just caught the rerun of "Lift Your Voice" this morning with Pastor Jamal Bryant. During the interview Pastor Bryant said he was surprised and hurt to see his name in an issue of Ebony magazine not discussion ministries but surrounding a scandal.

“It was gravely disheartening because EBONY has always been a vocal point for the African American community. So to see them meander in the realm of a TMZ or The Enquirer was heartbreaking,”

Despite the fact that he and the magazine have reached an understanding which included an official apology from the magazine. Pastor Bryant insists that it still pain him to see the once prominently magazine become mean spirited like that of a TMZ or Enquirer publication would.

Let me say this, every Christian does not embrace everything that take place within Christendom. And for me personally the use of anointing oil is one of the things, I find myself frowning upon. I truly believe when Jesus stood up in the synagogue and said:

“The Spirit of the Lord has anointed me.”

That act in itself removed the physical oil completely from the equation and reduced the anointing to its spiritual significance. So, in other words if one is Holy Ghost fill he/she has become the one who's anointed to do the work and not the oil. I tell you what, the foolishness that portrayed in these reality shows of the Christian faith is.........weird,strange, bizarre, and just downright outlandish.

Take for example Angie Stone's appearance on the second episode of R&B Divas Atlanta.....where she casually goes into her purse and pulls out her anointing oil to let her castmates know she not about that drama. Angie takes the oil and starts to anointed each DIVA one by one. Angie states in her confession that:

"she travel with anointing oil because at any given moment throughout the day something can run up and try to get in your space. I know how to find my corner and ask god for the strength.

Come on Angie, a "HOLY GOD" is not in a bottle of anointing ~~Olive~~ oil in your purse. In the Old Testament when the prophet Samuel anointed David, and when Solomon was anointed king, the oil used was symbolic of an important event or person. In the New Testament when Jesus was anointed from head to feet with oil He was getting ready to go to the Cross. This right here is pure foolishness!

Anointing: Used to describe any non-regular emotion (crying in the middle of a song when you forget the words, telling the church off (particularly when its over tithes and offering), doing the Olympic shout around the church (first one that hits the wall gets a white hanky tied around their neck!

(2).Trick of the Enemy: Used to describe anything that happens because you didn't do what you were supposed to, like your car getting repossessed because you didn't pay the note, lights getting shut off cause you quit work to go on tour with the pastors choir, or your child repeating the first grade because he missed the whole second semester to go on a 90 day/90 night fast and consecration.

(3). Rhema Word: Any message from an out-of-town pastor or evangelist.
