My February Luxe Box arrived and it's in a pretty red box this month!!!

As you can see, this month's Luxe Box is much different than the past months... it came in such a pretty RED box. I can only assume it is because of it being the month of February and Valentines Day... the month of Love & Romance... and all that good stuff.

Not only that... but this month's Luxe Box was also promoted by Flare... A Canadian Fashion Magazine. So cool!!

REDKEN COLOR EXTEND

I got 3 each .35fl oz 10ml samples of Shampoo and Conditioner packs.

I have not tried this yet, but I am quite excited to give this a try... and so happy that they put more than one sample in the Luxe Box. Last month the put only one sample of a Shampoo and Conditioner in the box and I found that it was not quite enough to do my hair... so this is a very generous amount and I am really looking forward to using this product. If you want a review on it, please let me know and I will keep you posted on what I think.

I have tried this product before and I actually LOVE it. It is so so so good for your hair and makes your hair feel very nice, soft and looks shiny.

In my last Luxe Box I got BioSilk Therapy, which is an oil that you put in your hair. I LOVED that product and am in fact still using the sample that they sent me. When I am finished of it, I was planning on going and purchasing a full size of the product. It makes my hair feel awesome!!! But I think I should make a comparison between the two now that I have both samples... ha ha ha.

This is a very nice hand and body balm. I love the natural citrus scent that it has... it's quite strong at first, but I love it... but it does dissipate and then you don't notice the scent at all. It's true, the lotion is non-greasy and it does absorb quickly into the skin. It's refreshing and moisturizing all at the same time and I really like it. The sample size is very nice.

I have started using this Gel-Lotion and quite like it. I really like the fact that it is made from natural ingredients and when you use it, you can really tell that it is... because you can smell the strong botanical extracts. If you are one that does not like scented products, maybe this is not for you, but as for me, I really like scented products and they have to smell good for me to use them...and this does smell nice... it smells natural... botanical.... like you are really doing something good for your skin. It does absorb into the skin very quickly and felt very nice. I really do like this product.

I am a big lover of mascara's so this was a great find in my Luxe Box this month. I am always trying to find "THE PERFECT" mascara... ha ha ha.

I tried the Lise Watier and I was a bit sceptical in the beginning... but when I was applying the very first coat with it, I said.. WOW... this is a really nice mascara. The brush is very different... as you can see in the photo... its quite spiky, but it really does coat every last very well with no clumping, no difficulties, and it only needed two coats to get really nice long lashes. I kept checking my lashes to see how they were doing during the day. No smudging... no raccoon eyes.... no dry fallout or flaking.... and I still have nice long volume in my lashes. I am thinking that this mascara could be a big winner for me. It surprised me!! I am very happy with this. I will keep using my sample that I got and if I keep liking it the way that I do so far... I will be purchasing a full size in the future... for sure!!!

SUDOKU NAIL ART

I was so in love with the Newspaper Nail Art Manicure that I did last week, that I thought that I would try something similar to it this week... believe me, it is a real eye catcher and you get SOOOO many compliments on your manicure.

This week I followed the exact same instructions that you can find in my previous post on Newspaper Nail Art, but this time instead of using Newspaper clippings... you use the SUDOKU puzzle.... (the answer sheet)

The Nail Polish that I used was OPI's "Steady As She Rose" but you can use any light shade that you prefer.

Newspaper Nail Art

I am totally in love with my new nail look that I did yesterday so I had to write a blog post on them and show you all. I am in no way a professional nail artist... I can only paint my nails at the most .. ha ha... so this was the most artistic that I got with them and it was so much fun and I love how it turned out.

It's super easy to do, "even I did it".. hehehe and I found it easy and fun and it looks super cute!!

All you need is:

- A Base Coat - to protect your nails from chipping, breaking and peeling, and this also helps strengthen your nails as well, and believe me, I need all the help I can get in this area...

- Nail Polish - Paint your nails in a light grey polish. Any light grey polish will do, but for me, I used Essie "Master Plan" # 680 if you are wondering.

- Then.... it is very important to make sure that your nails are completely dry before moving onto the next step.

- Transferring the Newspaper Ink onto the Nail.

- You will need some Rubbing Alcohol. Pour some into the cap and then dip your nail into it for 5-10 seconds. Then take a small piece of cut out newspaper and press it firmly onto your nail for about 15-20 seconds. (It's OK if the Newspaper gets damp from the Alcohol)

- Then peel off the Newspaper from your nail and the Ink from the words will be left behind on your nail.

- After this, you can clean up around your nail with a Q-tip and some nail polish remover to remove any extra polish that's around your nail that you don't want.

- The final step is VERY IMPORTANT!! This is to add a top coat to the design. If you don't add the top coat to your design, you will lose the Newspaper Ink on your nails. The top coat will seal in the print, and give a nice shine and finish to your manicure.

The topcoat that I used is Seche Vite.

And that's it!!!

As you can see..... my Luxe Box was bursting at the seams!!!

It was so full of wonderful goodies, and I was so excited just opening the parcel, I could hardly contain myself from just ripping all the papers away like a small child at Christmas time.. ha ha.

The first thing that I got from my box was a YVES ROCHER ROUGE DRAGEE LIPSTICK.

The creamy texture of the lipstick will comfortably hug your lips while providing irresistible colour that's enriched with musk rose oil. This lipstick defines your beautiful pout for a stunning winter look.

Full Size 3.5g ($5) mine was full size.

I really like the shade of this lipstick, it's quite pretty once it's on the lips, but the only thing that I really did not like is the taste... it really has a funky smell or taste... like an old lady lipstick - if you know what I mean... ha ha ha. The texture is quite smooth and goes on more or less like a balm and feels very smooth, and I like that as well... but I am not too fond of the taste.

One plus side for me was that no animal ingredients were used in this product... so it says on the wrapper.

The second thing that I got was BENEFIT POWDAWOWZA.

I am totally in love with my set of blushes and bronzer. They are beautiful!!! The bronzer is perfect and the blush is gorgeous on the skin with just that perfect bit of shimmer to it. The powder itself is soft, not too soft, but soft to the touch and has a really nice scent as well... it is such a pleasure to put on... like a treat and I am so much in love with the shades and using this product. I am so happy that Luxe Box has included this in my box this month...

The next thing that I got from my wonderful surprise box was a pretty lace bag full of sample perfumes called LOOSE BUTTON MYSCENT.

They have put together a collection of scents from sweet to sultry to elegant, and I am sure that I will find something that I love in this..... well.... I have already found something that I am totally "IN LOVE" with already... ha ha and a few that really suite me well. I love this idea that they came up with so that I get to try out different scents and each day I can try out a new one.

In this lace bag there were 6 samples for me to try, which were:

I also like the Nina Ricci Nini, and Paco Rabanne Lady Million as well, which is a totally different scent than all the others... its more woodsy and spicy rather than candy and sweet, but I still like that style of scent for certain days.... but I love to wear different scents and change it up at times, play with it and have fun... why not... we are all girls and I think that we can!!! :)

I also got a nice surprise in my Luxe Box and it was BIOSILK SILK THERAPY.

This is a lightweight leave-in treatment that helps moisturize and restructure your hair without heaviness. I really like this product, and it came right at the perfect time for me. I had just had my hair coloured, and as you all know, colouring your hair, especially when you bleach your hair... you need to take extra care of it to maintain healthy hair and this was just the product to do the job.

It left my hair feeling so silky soft, so the claims about that are very true, and my hair did not seem to feel damaged or dry at all... I can say that this helped my hair out a lot just in a few days. Even my hubby noticed a difference and started to use the small sample that I got and he liked it too. :)

Also in the Luxe Box - Bath and Body, was a generous sample of Fekkai Advanced Brilliant Glossing Shampoo & Fekkai Advanced Brilliant Glossing Conditioner.

Shampoo - This shine release shampoo bathes hair with encapsulated spheres of olive oil all day long to keep locks lustrous. Safe for colour treated hair.

Conditioner - This sheer conditioner with encapsulated olive oil gives hair what it needs: vital moisture and shine while restoring its strength. Safe for colour treated hair.

I have not tried the samples of the Fekkai Advanced Shampoo or Conditioner yet... but I am really looking forward to it. I am just wondering about the olive oil in my hair :) what will that do.. he he he.

It looks like I am going to have a spa day in my own home... and who does not like a spa day... ha ha. I will do a Shampoo and Conditioner treatment along with the Biosilk and then top it all off with the Benefit blush and bronzer.... YES.... that sounds like a plan!!!!

MAYBELLINE Instant Age Rewind - Treatment Concealer

Erase Dark Circles, Treatment Concealer.

Maybelline really outdid themselves with this product... I am totally in love with it.

I don't really have bad dark circles under my eyes, or a lot of puffiness, but I really wanted something that was going to brighten up my under eye area and give it a more youthful appearance, and erase some fine lines. I found it in this product, not to mention that the ingredients in this product are a great treatment for the eye area.

I am really not a big fan of the puff ball applicator on top of the product, and I don't use it, I use a brush instead after I roll the product out of the container. The product itself is very creamy and goes on very nicely. It's not too drying under the eyes, nor is it too wet that it does not have lasting power... but for me, it stays on all day. I do set it with my daily face powder to give it a bit of lasting power, but I really don't think that it is necessary.

It brightens up my under eye area without it looking glowy or full of shimmer.. that I don't want!! HA HA... but it's perfect... I love it.

Contains an active formula with Haloxyl that reduces the look of puffiness and shadows while fading the appearance of under eye circles. Goji Berries are great anti oxidants for the skin.

The formula comes in many different shades and I am sure that you can find one that will match your skin tone.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Just this past week I celebrated my Birthday.

I had a really wonderful day, filled with lots of Birthday wishes, greetings, and calls from distant family members and friends.... I loved it so so so much.

I think that Birthdays are such a special day... it's the day that God chose to bring you into this world and all Birthdays should be celebrated in a very special way... for everyone.

Well my special day was no different... it was special.

As you can see by the photo above... my sweet husband gave me a very special cake along with some very beautiful gifts as well. He is not only very special to me, but he is my best friend too, and knows me very well, and spoils me to the core... ha ha ha... I love it... and him too.

Here are some of the special gifts that I got from my hubby, and also a very special gift that I got from my daughter, Alicia. She is the light of my life!!

My daughter "Alicia" gave me a very beautiful gift. I was so surprised and I LOVE it so so so much.

She gave me two China Glaze Nail polishes (which I have never tried China Glaze nail polishes before so this was a great treat for me) The light shade is "Swing Baby" which I am wearing at the moment and love it. It's a sparkly taupe shade that will go with everything. The red shade is called "Sexy Silhouette", I am going to change up my polish soon and put this one on... it's true to its name... such a sexy red shade and I am so excited to wear it... I can't wait!!!

The China Glaze Nail Polishes are really great... long lasting and wear great on the nails. I love the polish, so if I happen to see it when I am out and about shopping, I am going to pick up some myself. I only see OPI or Essie, but I have never seen a China Glaze before....so I will keep a look out for them.

The next item in the beautiful box was a wonderful pigment by MICABELLA Cosmetics. I am in LOVE with this pigment. I can honestly say that I have worn this pigment almost every day... and I love it so so so much. It's a shade that everyone would love... and my daughter is great for picking out colours for me... it's a taupe/brown/golden shade. The name of the shade is called "Decadence" #92

These pigments have no fallout at all. NONE!!! They are so easy to apply, and so blend-able. When applied they make the eyelid look so smooth and young looking. Not like you are wearing a lot of eye pigment or shadow at all... but the lid looks so smooth and flawless.. it was so surprising to me the total effect that the pigment gave as an overall look on the eye.

I am very interested in trying out more of these pigments. They are way better than MAC. I want one in every shade because I love the overall effect and look that it gave on the eyes. It is a soft, smooth, beautiful, youthful effect.. and who would not love that look.

My sweet hubby gave me a Quo Make Up Case.

It is full of shadows/blushes/contour/and lipsticks. I love it.... I have many shades to chose from, and can mix and match any shade to go with whatever I want to wear, or I can get creative and make any look that I like.

The Quo shadows are really quite pigmented and very nice. This is my very first Quo shadow product and I was quite surprised at the quality of it. I really love the blushes and contour shades, they match my skin tone perfectly... which is a surprise because I am so fair and hard to get a good contour to match without looking orange. The very bottom try in the case has lipsticks. All the lipsticks are beautiful... and all colours that I would wear.. all modern and very chic!! I was so surprised and so happy with this beautiful gift from my hubby... he did a great job shopping.

My sweet hubby also gave me a beautiful gift set of Quo Make Up brushes.

I was so happy, I was freaking out!!! The Quo Make Up brushes are gorgeous!!! I was in need of some really great new make up brushes and he gave me some beautiful ones for my Birthday!!

Not only did my sweet hubby give me the 10 Quo Make Up Brushes, but they also came with this beautiful brush storage or travel case. I LOVE it... so elegant and beautiful.

It's made of black lace on the outside, and black silk in the inside, tied with a black ribbon that has two big white pearls on the ends. It has a lot of room to store these brushes, and if you have more brushes that you want to travel with, there is even more room to add them as well.

It's so beautiful... now who would not want to travel with this... ha ha... so gorgeous!!!

I was so proud of my hubby.. he is the most amazing man ever!!!

And last of all, (but I did not take a photo of it), he also gave me an exercise bike, hehe, so I will not only look good on the outside, but I will feel good too.. hehe. Love him!!!

Italian Mandarin Shower Gel

The smell of this is straight up... Mandarin. It smells like something that you could eat and not shower in. I LOVE the scent. It reminded me of the time when I lived in Italy and the Mandarins grew on the trees... how beautiful the blossoms where... and the scent they give off... so... this was such a nice sample to get in the box and I will truly enjoy my shower and smell mm mm good using this.

This sample size is 50 ml or 1.7 fl oz

Full Size is 400 ml and it sells for $ 12.00

ADVANCED FIRMING CREAM

I was excited to see this in my Luxe Box and try it out. I even started using it already and like it so far. The cream is very nice and soft on the skin... it has no scent so that is nice for those that do not like scents in their face products, and I really love the effect that it gave my skin. I have only applied it twice, but have noticed a difference already, so I can just imagine how nice it will work once I keep using it for awhile.

The product claims: Advanced formula contains the breakthrough Tumeric Complex, with glycerin, zinc and copper, that hydrates to firm and tighten, and provides antioxidant protection for the moisture barrier, and promotes rapid surface cell turnover to help reverse the appearance of aging for younger looking skin.

The sample size 0.5 oz or 14 g (said to have a value of $ 41.00)

EEEEEeee, I was so surprised that I got lip gloss in my Luxe Box this month, because I am totally in love with it. I love the colour of it.. it's in a NUDE shade, so very pretty, and I love the texture on my lips as well. The sample size is very nice. I am very happy with the lip gloss.

This really does make your lips look fuller, plumper, and it does hydrate them. L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow

These little pot eyeshadows are like little gems!!! They are truly amazing and versatile.

The shades that I have here are 014 ETERNAL BLACK..... which is a very pigmented black with a silver sparkle throughout it. It truly is beautiful on the eyes.

The next shade that I have is 001 TIME RESIST WHITE which is a champagne creme shimmer shade without sparkle. It is also very pigmented as well.

One swipe of these shades and you have full on colour that lasts all day and is waterproof.

The eyeshadow does not have a creme feel nor a powder feel... but a mixture of both, but feels very light and smooth in texture and on the skin.

You can wear these with an eye shadow base... but it is really not necessary. They will stand up all on their own and ad-here to the skin very well, making wearing them feel very comfortable and almost as though you have nothing on your eyes at all.

One other great use for these eye shadows is that they make excellent Eye liners. I am totally in love with the 014 ETERNAL BLACK as an Eye liner. It adds just that perfect bit of blackness as an eyeliner, its waterproof, it smudges well for that super sexy smokey look, and I love the added touch of sparkle as well.

Overall.... I love these L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows and I am looking forward to purchasing more of them in the future, all in different shades.

What's on your wish list? Come on... aren't we all just like small children at this wonderful time of year. You have to admit it... even though you are considered an adult, you still like Christmas... all that sparkle, glitter, and smelly goodness... who could not love that!!!

I have to admit it... I am the biggest child at Christmas time. Everything to me just sparkles of happiness, joy and there is no other time of year that is more special than this time of year. I love the whole meaning behind Christmas. The meaning of giving... the meaning of spending time with loved ones... with friends & family that you have not seen in such a long time, and just waking up on that special Christmas morning.

I love going to Church and and watching the Christmas plays... its just such a special time of year... there is no other than can compare!!! Everything is just so special!!!

Do you have any special Holiday Traditions that you do with your family on Christmas Day?

For me, on Christmas morning we usually wake up very early... like everyone I imagine..haha, and open our gifts... with wrapping paper, bows, and ribbon flying all over the place... "love it" then we usually get to look at our gifts... then have breakfast. After breakfast we get dressed... in our new things that we got for Christmas if we wished... and go visit our families. Then the final finally comes when we get to go visit our Grandmother and she puts on a huge dinner for alllllll the family. EVERYONE goes to her place and we all have dinner together. It's the most amazing time of year. I wish that Christmas would last all year long and never stop... see... I told you I was a big kid at Christmas :)

For me, I have a few things... but one thing that I would like to have is this perfume by Prada called.... "Prada Candy". I tried a sample and loved the scent so so so much. It has a sweet smell, but not overly, sick sweet, but a mature sweet scent... one that I think that a lot of people will truly love. It seems fun, playful, romantic.

It has some white musk, *benzoin, caramel notes. Mmmmm already sounds good!!

* Benzoin is a resin collected from the styrax tree, grown in the forests of Laos. Found here in an unprecedented concentration of %, it is addictive and sensual, with warm, wet, sweet, balsamy notes evoking delicately vanilla-scented honey.

You just have to check out the "Prada Candy" web site... They have the most awesome website EVER. When you open it.. it plays the most awesome beat... makes me want to keep the site open all day, just to dance around to the beat.. ha ha ha. This Mascara came out as a free sample in the InStyle magazine in Australia. (My sister lives in Australia and she was so sweet as to send me the magazine with the sample of mascara on it)

I loved looking through the InStyle magazine. It's so much fun to see the styles from another country.

I got to test out a new mascara, one in which I can not get around here. NAPOLEON PERDIS is a line that I can not find here... so this was so exciting for me.

The Mascara comes in a nice black sleek tube... very stylish, elegant and sophisticated. The wand is made of plastic with very fine bristles to catch all the lashes. I am not much of a plastic wand lover, but I do have to say, this one is very nice, it does catch all the lashes very well and coats every lash well, and its very sturdy... not wobbly like some wands that you can find.

The mascara is a dark rich black shade.. very beautiful!!

It did not say on the tube if the mascara was waterproof or not, but from wearing this formula it does not run or give you raccoon eyes, and if you have watery eyes, it does not transfer. It also is a bit hard to take off without make up remover. Comes off perfectly without any problem with a bit of Olive Oil on a cotton pad, or your favorite oil based make up remover.

The formula lasts all day..and is not a wet formula either. Keeps the lashes so so so long... with just one application, which I could not believe when I applied it... I did not have to apply a primer to get the long lushes lashes that I like, with just one coat of this mascara I had long curled lashes. With two coats, your effect is as if you have dramatic false lashes on... and I love it.

I am totally in love with this mascara... the only bad side to it is that I can not find it here... :(

The retail price in Australian dollar is $28.00, but for me... it is well with the price... the mascara would be a HG product if I could get it here. So if you are able to get NAPOLEON PERDIS Whole Lotta Lash Mascara - give it a try... I am sure that you will fall madly in love!!

Lebanese Rose Perfume

Lebanese Rose Perfume.

I have been asked several times to write a post about this by a lot of my friends so I hope

that you like it.

During one of our (my husband and I's) trips to Egypt... because if you did not know.. and I am sure that you all know.. my husband is Egyptian ... he he he he ;) we went shopping in one of their big shopping malls. Just let me say... it's an experience in itself. "BEAUTIFUL" I only wish that I could have taken photos of inside the shopping mall because it was the best experience of my life!!! Gold and Silver rails on the escalators, gold in the floor tiles. Shops that looked like they were made for Kings and Queens. I felt like I was in a dream.

(When one goes to Egypt, one always takes in the sites like the Pyramids, Sphinx, and of course the Museums ... so who wants to go to a Mall. HA HA HA. ME, ME, ME.... It's something that you will never forget... just like all the other site seeing places as well.)

Anyway... during my time looking around and shopping in the mall I kept smelling this wonderful scent all throughout the whole mall, it was such a sweet, beautiful scent. Then suddenly I walked by this place and the scent was so nice, I looked in and here I was... A PERFUMERY... yes... I found were the scent was coming from. BEAUTIFUL!!!

My husband and I and his brother... because his brother met up with us went into the Perfumery. OOHHH what did my wandering eyes appear... haha. Bottles with golden, amber, orange, brandy, coloured perfumes in them. I was freaking out... haha. Each bottle labeled with the scent.

The gentleman (Perfumer) in the Perfumery was so helpful and kind that he asked me many questions as to what scents that I liked, what I did not like... and he went around and gathered up some bottles and brought them to the counter. He gathered some long sticks and and inserted them into the bottle and asked me to smell.... ohh I felt like a Queen!!!

I had several that I liked... but my most favorite of all was this: LEBANESE ROSE.

So my husband bought a small bottle of it for me. Let me tell you... this stuff does not come cheap.

A small bottle of 15ml is over $250.00 (yes, my eyes bugged out!!!) I had no idea that it would be so expensive!!

With this small, small, amount of Lebanese Rose perfume I got a free mixed Perfume. I guess this is customary there. The real concentrated perfume is for special occasions and you only use such a small, small, small amount because it is so strong... but the Perfumer also mixed Lebanese Rose with Jasmine and other perfumes for me so that I can wear this everyday, which is a nice combination as well. It is also lovely, but not as much as the Lebanese Rose. It all comes in a really nice velour box and I was also given a perfume bottle for it.

The perfume bottle is all made of glass with a glass stick that is inserted into the bottle so that you can put on your perfume.... so Beautiful. I love it!!

It was totally a once in a lifetime experience. I will never forget!!

Now... for the description of the scent!!! Please forgive me because I am not good at describing scents.

I am not a lover of Rose scents at all. I love the flower, and the smell of fresh Roses as they are sitting on the table in a vase... but in a perfume... I really don't like it at all. It just reminds me of an old lady's perfume and I don't go for this kind of thing at all.

The Lebanese Rose is definitely not your old ladies kind of scent at all. It is a very sweet, and I mean... VERY SWEET, strong, floral feminine scent, and I am totally IN LOVE with it. I just wish that I could wear this scent every day, but at this price... I am so sorry.. I can not. I only wear a very small amount on very special occasions.

The scent makes me feel happy, ... it makes me feel feminine, sexy, and it makes me smile.

So... If any of you ever have a chance to go to Egypt, go to a Perfumery and smell the Lebanese Rose... I am very sure you will fall in love with it. And by the way... while your in the mall shopping, sit down and try the ice-cream.... it's yum yum yummy!!!

Ciao all my lovely friends and fellow bloggers... I am so sorry that I have been MIA from my blog lately... but here is a post that I wanted to update you all on. I hope that it is helpful to you and that you will like it.

I bought this product looking for something to wear for the days that I wanted something that was light, and I could cover up some blemishes when I had no place special to go, but really stay around home, but still look nice, and I could use at anytime.

The product comes with a brush that is actually quite soft, not one that is best used for Mineral Make up, but quite a nice portable brush nonetheless which I think would be better suited for liquid foundation rather than powder.

The product itself, when you apply it to the skin goes on in a powder form, but wet to the touch... which is the strangest feeling ever, but actually it has a very nice cooling sensation on the skin. I like this very much... but was something to get used to. First I thought that my brush was wet, and not completely dry from my cleaning it.. ha ha.. so I tried another brush... same thing, but this time I realized that it was the foundation and not the brushes, so this adds a very nice touch to the foundation.

The coverage is very light though, so if you are looking for serious coverage... this isn't for you. It's not really very build-able either because it starts to look too caked on then, not a good look at all. It does not cover blemishes at all... with a light coverage, or when built up.

Some reviews said that they found it shimmery... for me.. I have not found it to be too shimmery at all. Mine that I got was not shimmery at all... it was actually very matte and that was ok... but a little shimmer would have been nice.. hehe.. spoken from a shimmer lover!! ;)

Overall... I would not repurchase it again, its very expensive for the kind of product that it is. I am currently using it lightly as a setting powder over my foundation, but I am still not in love with it even for that... its too heavy for that... so I am not a lover of this at all, the only thing that I think is really nice.. is the cooling effect that it has on the skin.

eos Lip Balm

The most amazing Lip Balm that I have ever used on my lips is the eos Lip Balm. I am totally in love with this stuff. I have seen it around, and thought... what a funny shape, I doubt if it's any good in that container!!! Finally, one day I decided to give it a try one day and I am so so so happy that I did. I just can not stop using this. I use it all the time. If I do not have lipstick on my lips when I am going out... you can bet that I have this eos Lip Balm on.

It is truly very moisturizing on the lips, with Shea butter and vitamin E. Firstly, my lips were very dry and cracked feeling, and no matter what I put on them, it was always the same... dry, cracked lips.. but this has totally changed them. Now.. they are soft and beautiful.... I love the results that I got by using this.

The scent that I got is Honeysuckle Honeydew. It it really a nice scent and flavor, I like it a lot.. and now I am very interested in trying out all the others that they have ;)

I am getting over the "round ball" container and starting to love the shape of it... often times I will be reading or watching YouTube and playing with the "eos ball" ha ha... it has become lots of fun.

The eos Lip Balm is:

- Long-lasting moisture

- Shea butter & Vitamin E

- Smooths on clear

- New smooth sphere precisely glides on to the lips

NEW HAIR DUE!!

My New Hair Due

Today I got my hair cut... I mean cut!! HA HA.

I had very, very long hair and the hairdresser cut off over 8 or 9 inches of hair long hair. I LOVE long hair and was sad but yet happy to see it go.

If it was not for a thyroid problem that I have, I would still have my long blond hair, but my hair kept falling out, and I meant falling out by the handfuls, so much so that even when the hairdresser went to comb my hair to cut it, so much hair came out in her comb and on her hands that she whispered to me... "are you sick" ha ha. I had to laugh because I really don't think so, nor feel like it, but by the looks of my hair it looks it.. ha ha. SO chop, chop!! It was fun for her because she said we do not often get to do this ... it is such a big change, more like a make over on someone, so she cut it, styled it, and was wonderful. I loved it.

During my shopping day with my dearest and sweetest hubby we saw these earrings hanging on a rack at my local drug store. They had them in many different styles, from the ones that my hubby chose for me.. which are style number 233 (hoops in gold) to smaller hoops, gold, silver, also studs, cubic zirconium diamond studs....ohhh the list goes on ... they had many different styles and also they come in many different prices.

The price that you pay for your earrings depends on the style that you want.

They are not real gold... but they say that they have a high tech gold overlay. (whatever that means.. ha ha) They are made of surgical grade stainless steel so they are very good quality and good for those who are very sensitive to earrings or have a lot of allergies. I personally do not have a lot of allergies, nor is my ears sensitive, but I just thought that these were cute and my hubby also chose them for me... so I was not going to refuse.. ;)

The backs of them are very nice. They do not have a separate back... it is attached, so you just unsnap it and it will snap right back when you put them on your ears... there is no fear of your earring falling out of your ear, or you loosing it. I was very happy for this, it is well constructed, and made to last. I was afraid that they would get tangled in my curly hair... but they really don't, so I am also very happy for that as well.

As for the comfort... when I wear them, I don't feel like I have any earrings in my ears at all. I never feel them. They are as light as a feather, and very comfortable.

In my opinion I would recommend these earrings to anyone... they are very affordable, and very healthy for the ears. I would love to have them in all the styles that the offer. I have to go back and take another look and see what else I can collect ;)

ANNIVERSARY SURPRISE!! - Elgin Watch

As some of you may know my husbands and I's Anniversary was on this past Wednesday (July 27th)

Yes... it was a very special day!! ;)

My husband is very special... ha ha.. I love him too much!!

Well, we recently had our 3rd Anniversary. I am the kind of person that likes to give hints to what I would like.. hint .. hint.. ha ha ha. so I was always surfing around on the internet looking at watches and picking out the styles of my favorite ones.

He was always asking me what my most favorite ones looked like, (and WHY I liked them so big) ha ha. When we would go out and about... we would go window shopping together and look around at watches (because I really wanted a new one) at all the different styles and colours. I would always point out what style that I would like, the colour that I liked, the size of watch that I liked and so on, from what that store or company offered, and we did this for a long time. He is my very best friend and I love shopping with him, his opinion matters to me so so so much.... not to mention, he loves to go shopping!! That's right girls... I have a man that loves to go shopping with me... I'm very blessed!!

On the day of our Anniversary he came home with a BIG SURPRISE...

I LOVE IT!!!

I have never seen this brand before... its an ELGIN watch, but it is beautiful. It's big, more of a man's size, and I had to get some of the links in the strap taken out so it would fit my wrist because it was too big, but the watch face is big, but not too big... perfect!! It also has the date at 3 o'clock, and I love that too. The colour is black and gold.

It is very elegant and classy and can be worn dressed up or even dressed down.

I think that he did perfect picking out a watch... I am in love with it.

So true!!

This is one of the Wet n Wild Eye Shadow singles in the shade "Nutty". Nutty is a taupe colour, -- now.. a girl can not have too many taupe colours in her make up collection .. can she? HA HA!! I love the shade taupe and this one is no exception, it's beautiful!!

The Eye shadow is very pigmented and very easy to work with, it blends like a dream and goes with just about any colour that you pair it with. And yes... it really does last and last. It lasts all day, even without a base. Comparison test.. one eye with base, and one eye with MAC paint pot (Painterly) both lasted the same... now for me... that is really saying something for the eye shadow.

The Wet n Wild Eye Shadows are becoming fast one of my favorite low end eye shadow brands because they are so comparable to high end in quality without the huge price tag. I am going to collect all the shades that they have. You will definitely find more reviews on them as I get more. Hope you like them.

Wet n Wild "Knock On Wood" Eye Shadow

This is an amazing Eye Shadow Palette. I was really quite surprised at the pigmentation of it. I have heard a lot of reviews, and watched a lot of YouTube videos on the Wet n Wild Eye Shadows but never really give it a thought that they would really be that great until I saw them at my local Wal-Mart. When I tried out the tester that they had, I thought ... Oh my, they are really great!! So I bought a few Palettes to give them a whirl.

As you can see, the colours are very intense, and they are just as pigmented as well. When I used them you really do have to be careful when applying them because it is so easy to apply too much. I like that. Its much better that way than always trying to apply a shade and not getting any colour pay off... ha ha. But these guys have so much colour its surprising, and the colour choices are beautiful. This Palette is called "Knock On Wood" which has a mid toned burgundy for the eyelid colour, a mid toned brown colour for the crease, and a cream to bone colour for the browbone colour, all of which are beautiful and apply like a dream on the eyelids. Before applying them I used MAC's paintpot in Paiterly to make sure that they stay... but no worries, they stayed all day, and they blend well also. They are perfect!!

The Palette also tells you in which place to put the colour, so if you are a beginner to make up, you should have no problems, its all patterned out for you and it comes with instructions written on the back as well. Very Easy!!!

These are very comparable to the high end brands at a fraction of the price.

MAKE UP STORAGE

This is my MAKE UP STORAGE UNIT.

I was so lucky, I had a student of mine when I was teaching English in Italy make this beautiful Make up Storage Unit for me. His name was Antonio. He was a wonderful student and learnt English very well.

He owned a company that made many things from glass to metal cabinets, shelves, drawers to buildings. One day I asked him if his company has ever made such a thing as a Clear Cube for make up storage.

I sent the office some photos of what I was looking for, and they said that he had never made anything like that before, but not to worry, it is not impossible, and for me to relax a bit, he was busy at the moment and he will soon get back to me.

So I was in no hurry and I waited. One day he showed up for his English class with a HUGE SURPRISE for me. I was so surprised!!! So happy!!! He had made me the Make up storage unit. It was perfect.... He made it perfectly. It is not made of glass, but of some sort of clear thick (plastic) not really plastic either... I really don't know the material... but it is the most beautiful thing that I have ever had for my make up. I was so excited that I had called my family (that lived in Canada at the time) and told them.. ha ha ha. AND... right away I put the storage unit to good use... as you can see.

It's the most wonderful and beautiful unit thing that I have ever used to store all my make up in. It's clear so I can see everything... no searching or looking through boxes or drawers for something and not finding it, you can see right through this and everything is so easy to find. The drawers slide out so easy, and it is like a dream to use... and... it makes me feel like a million every morning I go to put on my make up. As you know... I LOVE to be organized!!!! The top part of the unit lifts up, it does not slide like a drawer. It's my dream come true, and all the thanks goes out to my English Student ... Antonio.

BONNEBELL LipLITES

These are the most amazing lip glosses EVER!!

I just had to show you my favorite lip glosses. I have a lot of lip glosses, but I could never live without my BONNEBELL LipLITES Lip gloss. I wear one every day in some kind of flavor, alone or over lipstick to add that perfect touch of glossiness and also scent. YES... they smell like nothing I have ever used on my lips before. The scent of them is to die for. I am sure that this is one of the major factors that I keep going back to buy more of them and that I also have such a big collection as well. I am such a girl at heart. ha ha ha. I used to use these when I was much younger and in school and even high school, and now I am still using them, they are a staple in my everyday life in which I am sure they will remain.

I just can't say enough about these!!! I have many expensive lip glosses (MAC or YSL etc) but I find myself always reaching for these drug store lip glosses. Nothing compares to them. What I love about them is that they taste and smell great. They do not look cheap and the colours rival any of the best department store glosses or high end glosses out there. They are not sticky, they wear well and are really quite pigmented as well. The only downside is ... you might have to reapply every 4 hours or so... but.. for me I don't mind at all with the scent of these..... who would mind.... it's like a real treat.

What's in your LIPSTICK?

Actually I had NEVER thought of this before until yesterday when a fellow blogger brought to my attention that Maybelline was testing on animals. Really!!! I could not believe it... my favorite mascara of all times was being tested on animals?? What to do!! What to do!! I love my XXL EXTENSIONS Waterproof Mascara and also my XXL Volume Mascara so so so much, I was very sad to find this news out. I hate it that animals are being misused and treated cruel for our gain.

So during my research I also found out that, of all things.... not only my mascara was involved with animals, but my .... oh no ... it could not be... my lipstick too. :(

What's in your LIPSTICK?

What I found out was not pretty at all, although the lipstick does make me look pretty ;)

Lipstick contains many ingredients that comes from animals, which is animal cruelty.

Most all lipsticks contain beeswax, lanolin oil, carmine - which is ground up beetles used as a dye or colouring, but the most shocking thing that I found was this.. and I will link the sites that I found the info on below this post. * "Other types of wax used are animal and plant waxes." A commonly UNKNOWN fact: Lipstick contains a very inexpensive fat which is brain and spinal cord fat from older cows. The FDA has told cosmetics makers they can no longer use brain and spinal cord tissue from older cattle in lipstick, hair sprays, and other products, reports The Associated Press. The fact that they were used at all will likely surprise millions of women who use these products daily. And that's not the only surprise....... The new FDA regulations still allow use of these animal tissues in cosmetics as long as they come from younger cattle.

From the most expensive brands to the regular drug store brands they all contain some sort of animal ingredients.

As for me, well..... I will still use my Maybelline mascara as it is one of my favorites, but I am in no way in favour of them testing on animals!! I will still use lipstick although I will always think about what is in it, ha ha ha after reading and knowing what I know now. It's very difficult to find a lipstick without animal products. All lipsticks that are pictured here have animal products in them, that means, all my favorite lipsticks have some sort of animal product in them. :(

As promised from yesterdays post, I was going to discuss the XXL EXTENSIONS Waterproof Mascara.

As you all know... my awful, and I mean awful, lashes can not live without some sort of good mascara.. ha ha, and these two mascara's that I have just shown you are a few of the better ones that I have found for my next to nothing lashes. It really does make my lashes look like I am wearing false lashes when in fact I am not, and for that, I am so happy. The lashes get so so so long that they will touch my eyelid... yes.. talk about batting eye lashes!!! ha ha ha... it's love for sure. Well this mascara is no different than the XXL Volume Mascara in the previous post. It gives you those dreamy, extra long lashes that all of use girls are looking for, with an extra bonus.... it's waterproof. So, for those of us girls that are our and about around the beach, like to go swimming, or even if you are attending a wedding or viewing a sad, sappy movie, and your lashes get wet... you have no worries... these lashes will not go anywhere. NO runny mascara. NO raccoon eyes. I love it.

STEP 1 - White end with the microfibers - Sweep on basecoat to uncross unruly lashes and lock them into place.

STEP 2 - Black end - Mascara - Follow with topcoat to visibly extend the length of lashes beyond belief.

The XXL EXTENSIONS Waterproof Mascara is really great.

The wand is the same as the previous mascara, not too big and not too small, just perfect for getting into all the lashes that I have and coating everyone of them evenly.

Overall..... The primer (microfiber, or white side) does add extra length to your lashes

Mascara adds extra length

Defines lashes

Inexpensive

Not super wet or super dry

Does not flake or transfer

Does not clump

Lasts all day

It's very waterproof for swimming or tearing

Removes easily with an oil based make up remover

I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a waterproof mascara and also extra length with a false lash effect... it's perfect for that, and it gives a beautiful effect to the lashes and a natural feel.

It's also contact lens safe and ophthalmologist tested.

I do have to mention because it was brought to my attention by a follower of mine that Maybelline does test on animals. I am not in favour of this at all and am very sad for this fact, but this mascara is in fact one of the best that I have ever tried so far to give me the false lash effect, and I have tried a lot from high end to lower brands. Maybelline XXL Volume Mascara

As you will begin to notice, I am a connoisseur of mascaras.. ha ha, always trying to find just the perfect one for my imperfect, barely there, straight lashes. So today I am introducing to you a new mascara that I have tried. It's the XXL Volume Mascara. The XXL Volume Mascara is the one that comes in the red and black tube as you can see. The colour of the mascara that I picked is 521 Very Black, and I really love the colour of it. It's perfect. This mascara comes with two sides, one with a microfiber (white side) and one with the mascara black side). Both sides have the perfect size wand as well. I really am not a lover of huge wands... they really don't fit my eyelids well, but these are the perfect size and you can coat each lash very easy.

STEP 1 - Sweep microfiber basecoat onto lashes to build dramatic volume. This is the white fiber side that you see on the wand. It's very easy to apply, and really does build up volume on your lashes. I only applied one coat of this and did not wait too long for it to dry.

STEP 2 - Follow with microfiber topcoat to lock on super-intense colour. This is the mascara side. It really does build up the volume and gives your lashes an extra WOW factor. I applied two coats of this, but ... with just one coat you can manage with long lashes, for me, I love the false lash effect without the false lashes, so I added an extra coat and got a WOW factor of false lashes without wearing false lashes. I LOVED it!!

Overall... The primer (microfiber, or white side) does add length and volume

Got2b Dry Shampoo

Got2b Dry Shampoo.

I was always interested in a Dry Shampoo so that I did not have to "Shampoo" my hair everyday, which damages your hair and no one really wants that, so I saw this product on sale a few months ago and thought that I would give it a try.

Using this product means that you can skip a day of washing and still keep your hair from looking oily or dirty and it will make your hair look like it was freshly washed and clean... just for an extra day.

There are more things that I did not like about the product than the things that I did like about it. For one, the product smelled awful. It reminded me of a lemon coffee table cleaner or dust cleaner called "Pledge" ... I really am not a big fan of having this kind of smell in my hair.

Second, the overspray from the can was awful. You direct the spray towards the part of the hair you want to spray, but it would spray the walls, the mirror, the countertop, and anything that was around, and also your head included. It sprayed like a firehose.... there was no controlling it, there was light powder all over the place.

The nice thing about it was that it worked. When I did my hair straight and was on second day hair, I could use the Got2b Dry Shampoo and my hair looked like it was just done again. You had to work the product into your scalp so that it would dry up the oils, and your hair would not be oily and second day looking, but it worked well. It did not leave any white look on my hair either, so for me, it was not noticable, I think it was more because I have blond hair, but for those that have darker hair, it may leave a white powder look in your hair. It does make your hair feel cleaner the second day, but the smell of Pledge is not so good.

Would I ever buy this product again. NO!!....... as you will see in the following photos.

To give you an example of how the Got2b Dry Shampoo sprayed out, and how it looked, I sprayed it on the back of my hand as a swatch..... which was the most stupid idea ever!!!!

In the second photo, under the first, you can see that the product came out and splattered all over the back of my hand and started to turn to a powdery white, which it does in your hair, no problem......the product started to burn my hand... and I mean it really burnt the back of my hand so much, and so fast that I had to drop my camera and I could not wait until it turned any whiter, I had to get it off. The third photo, to the right, is a photo of what the product did to the back of my hand... and this is taken a week later. I still have a burn make from the product.

Now for the conculsion: I will NEVER buy this product again!!! If this product burned the back of my hand this much.... how much damage will it actually do to my hair. I really want my hair to grow out long and healthy, and I am afraid that this product will burn it off at the roots!!!

NO... WILL NEVER PURCHASE THIS AGAIN.... ITS DANGEROUS IN MY OPINION.
