Anybody appreciates the customizable utility of Nissan Townpod's van-like abilities coupled with a chic and stylish cockpit designed with the future and not just today, in mind. Nissan Townpod provides a simple platform, which each user can individually tune to their own peculiar needs.

Similar electric blue hints are visible behind the door handles, number plate, the spokes of the alloy wheels and within the headlamp pods. The car does not need to shout that it is an EV. It more subtly suggests its ecological and economical credentials.

The innovative position of the headlights also allows a coupe-esque bonnet line, not dissimilar to Nissan Z, which feeds in to a visor-like wraparound, blue tinted glass house, reminiscent of Nissan Cube, while the galls to body proportions hark back to the rat-rods of the fifties.

The car is decidedly more van-like with its split rear doors. The rear features back lights on the right, a number plate on the left, and a rear-door handle set into a concave surface

Viewed from above the car's space-maximising rectangular footprint flows into an elliptical roof, offering more graceful lines as well as increased aerodynamic efficiency.

Innovative hinges allow the rear doors to slide, then open in confined spaces and then fold to the side of the car so as not to obstruct passing traffic or pedestrians

The idea of simple form following function continues within Nissan Townpod. The cargo area, passenger space and dashboard are remarkably uncluttered yet do not feel spartan

Just because the interior is utilitarian by design does not mean that it cannot be stylish.

The driver is faced with an uncomplicated yet futuristic steering wheel and two familiar stalks to operate the lights and wipers, but other than these controls - which are beautifully simple in their own light - the flowing dashboard is devoid of mechanical switches.

Forward or rearward drive is selected using an uncomplicated joystick set into the right-hand side of the driver's seat base.

Cheese fondue

Ingredients: (4 servings)

· 1 lb fontina cheese

· 1 qz butter

· 4 egg yolks

· Milk

Directions

Remove the rind from Fontina cheese and cut it into cubes. Place the cheese in a bowl, cover with milk and allow to rest for about 3 hours. Melt the butter, add Fontina cheese and milk and cook in a double boiler on oven medium heat stirring with a wooden spoon. When Fontina begins to melt, turn up the heat and mix quickly. Add the egg yolks one at time, making sure that the first yolk is well mexed in before adding the next one.stir until the mixture reaches the correct creamy consistency. Serve in pottery bowls with croutons made of bread fried in butter and steam vegetable such as broccoli, carrot, mushroom..

Steamed Broccoli with Cheese Sauce

Ingredients:

· 16 oz fresh broccoli

· 2 tbsp butter

· 2 tbsp flour

· 1 cup milk

· ½ tsp salt

· ½ tsp ground black pepper

· 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

Cut broccoli into florets and peel and cut stems into ¼ inchi slices. Place them in a steamer over bolling water and cover.

Then in saucepan heat the butter over medium heat and add the flour. Stir and whisk the flour continuously for a minute. Take the pan off the heat and add the milk. Place it again over to heat and add salt and pepper. Once the mixture boils and has thickened, turn off the heat and add the shredded cheese.pour over the steamed broccoli and serve immediately.

The best part is you will probably find some amazing city neighborhood tucked away, teeming with friendly locals, and unknown by most tourists.

Most major European cities, and even some countries, feature free museum or attraction days of the month. Some also feature evenings that are free. Check to see when the free day is at the destination you will visit, and plan accordingly.

This sort of follows along similar lines as suggestion #2, but with a slightly different spin. One of the biggest budget drains when it comes to sightseeing is organized tours, which can sometimes run even a few hundred euros per person. Instead, go it on your own. Find a good map, a good brochure or guidebook that mentions the destinations you want to see, or even use Google maps to build some sort of an itinerary. Then set out, either on foot or on public transport. Podcast tours are also a very inexpensive alternative to a live human tour guide. The nice benefit here is that you aren’t tied to a strict itinerary, and you can linger as long as you like at one stop while rushing the next stop if it’s boring.

Local transportation options in Europe are quite extensive, even surprisingly available in many small cities and villages. Hopping a city bus, a metro or commuter line, or even a regional train can cost nothing more than change, and provide you a nice tour of the city or the area.

In many destinations, you will find hop on, hop off tour buses, for example, that cost 25 euros and up per person. Then, a block later, you will find the local transport with an all-day pass for maybe 3 euros. Are you really getting a value worth eight times that of the local transportation? It’s doubtful. One tip, however, is that local transportation systems can be confusing to visitors. Ask your hotel’s front desk for help or a bus map or schedule, or visit the local tourism office for some assistance.
