1. Content is your king

If we imagine blog as a kingdom, then your content is the ruler of your blog. Your King. Content holds everything.
People search for information on the internet. For that, you can serve content that satisfy your visitors.
If you served them a good quality content, they will surely impressed by your blog and increase possibility to visit your blog regularly.
For website/blog owners, if they found good quality content, there is a possibility they will put a link for it or bookmark it.

Content for your blog can be your posts, your blog templates, or anything that you placed on that blog.
If you really got a good quality content, they won't hesitate to come to you again and again. You even don't have to bother about your layout.
Or maybe referring you to another sites, saying "This blog has high quality content."

Visitors will be really dissapointed with your blog if your content are copied from another sites/blogs, especially from top sites.

2. Post regularly

Make new post as fast as you can and publish them as fast as you can, but consider timing too. You don't always have to post good quality content,
but just post something to make your blog readers' feel that your blog is updated regularly. You have to make sure that there are some good quality
content between these posts.

3. Layout

In reality, "People judge a book by it's cover"

People rate your blog. What differ a common blog and a professional one is it's layout.
Even if you didn't have high content, people will think your blog is a high quality one because of your layout.
And even before they read the content, people will think that your blog's content is good, because they look at your layout.

But beware about this, if you have a good quality layout but bad content, people will really dissapointed. It makes them think that your blog is really
made by an amateur that just depend on the layout that can be downloaded and searched freely.

Regular people prefer light template because it's easy to read.
But usually gamers/anime lovers prefer dark template, because it bring the sensation of playing games or watching animes, or because it is cool in
gamers' eye.

Make sure if you want to make your blog layout become cool, you must first upgrade it's content.

4. Promote your blog

This is really important. Someone will know about some blog if they was introduced to it. You can place signatures between forums, social networking
sites, mailing lists, and other community online. Be active to promote your blog, go to sites that possibly related to your blog. Even if it wasn't
related to it's topic you can promote it to them too, who knows they have an interest on your blog topic.

If your blog have a good quality articles, you can submit your articles to any sites that need your article. like www.ezinearticles.com and others. It
will drive more traffic to your site.

5. Use free services from another sites

like feedburner (RSS feeds), del.icio.us (Bookmarking services), Technorati (blog ratings), or another

6. Monetize

If you are using blog service that allow you to monetize it, you can place ads in it. Then you can start earning from your blog. Nowadays, the ad format that is really popular is a pay per click ads.

Howdy !!

I want to share the article that I got about working from home.

Nowadays, working from home are becoming more popular. There are many people who work as freelancer.
Even with the employees that already had a job, there are some of them who likes to do work from home.

In the internet, we call it Teleworking (Working from distance). There are many reason why someone do it, like the crowded traffic, polutions, no modals to begin with, have no other jobs, increasing the income you get for making a living, or to be near with your family, like Aditya Hartanto, a programmer and an ex-teacher.

But.... It isn't as easy as you thought...

If you decided to do it just to wake up later or lazying around in your home, your job won't last long.

Why?

This is as I said in the introduction, what you need in this job is hardwork and consistency.
If you want to know, individual freedom is the reason why many people are wanted to do this job.

Do you want to know the reality about this kind of work?

First,

You can't leave the job easily. There is a possibility that you'll even have to bring your work to your bed, because in the afternoon, maybe you'll be distracted by phone calls from your relatives or friends.

Relax, Aditya Hartanto said that you don't need to worry, because not all of the jobs needs you to be awake at night.

Second,

There will be no office boys or secretary that will help you to do your job. You'll have to do all yourself, like making coffee, making lunch, answer the phone calls, except you already had an employee or a maid that will help you to do your job at home.

Third,

There will be no one that will give you critics or comments about your job. The one and only person that can rate your productivity and the effectivity of your job is yourself (Although I think not all of the jobs had the third circumstance)

And....

There are just few people who understand that time is really precious, especially as a teleworker. Sometimes, maybe your colleges or your relatives will visit you and just gossiping and talk about nonsense with you. For this problem, Aditya has a solution. Build your own room for working.

Also, there will be no pressure and support. No pressure? Sounds fun !! Not exactly, because with no peer pressure, there will be also no peer support for your job. Even in hard times when you feel frustrated, having no idea, there will be no support for you.

But you can solve this by many ways, like praying to god, chatting from instant messenger, sending SMS to your friends, or calling your friends by phone.

Why I told you this? I actually thought to build my own website, changing from wordpress.com. :)

The known website, yet another hiearchi official online (yahoo!) also have domain names in many different prices for you.

Domain names are not only for websites. They are also there for you owner of blogs ^_^.

If you want to be free of restrictions to building blogs, you can use a web hosting service to place your blog, buy domain names, and configure your blog to use different server to place your blog and... Ta-daah ! Your blog is now REALLY yours !!

I'll tell you about how to get high paying ads from google adsense displayed on your websites/blogs.

First, you will have to make sure that the keyword that you got are really HPK.

You have checked what are the keywords that was categorized as the HPK in one website, but consider checking it again in another websites. I assume the results will be different, depending on what kind of keyword that you seek. Is it different?

YES !! They're different !!

How? Are the websites telling lies !?

No, the websites aren't telling lies. It's just the keywords that were changing from month to month.
As time goes on, people will have a new hot issue. When the issue come, there are times when they want to know about it.

When they want to know about it, they'll search the internet, increasing the traffic of sites related to the issue.

For example:

There are sites that are talking about Information Technology (IT). But since in the past IT wasn't so popular so there are few of them who loved it and rarely visit sites that related to it.

But it is really different from now. Nowadays, IT is very popular, everyone from childern to adult, knows it. So, the websites that was created in the past that was purposed to talk about IT now will increase it's traffic, searching about this topic. It would make more websites talk about IT.

Everyone want their own website to be known, so they'll place ads in google that talk about it. And with it, there is a possibility that there will be High paying ads displayed from topics related to IT.

And with IT become famous, there is also possibility to the old issue will vanish, because there would be few who loved it, and they'll stop putting ads that talked about it, including the high paying ads.

So, you need to check it more than one time to make sure the keywords that you know are really HPK.

Second, you can use the keyword in your post title.

You can place the keyword in your post title. That way, you'll increase probability to display high paying ads on your site/blog.
You also have to post articles related to the HPK, to increse more probability to it.

Third, you need to change your article topics, depending on HPK this month.

Like I said before, HPK change from one time to another. If you want to get High paying ads displayed, make sure you check it regularly in one month and change your topic to the topic related to the high paying keyword.

I'm sorry to keep you wating, because I was very busy these times, and I didn't get any new ideas to post in this blog.

What I want to tell you this time is about MMOG (Massive Multiplayer Online Game)
Unlike the other business online ideas, MMOG are made by game developers and it is a large scale business. MMOG needs more people to build it than the other business (Building Website and Blogs).

Nowadays, MMOG are very popular among gamers, especially the free ones. One example of them is DotA ( Defense Of the Ancients ). It has many members in its forum and it was played by many gamers all over the world.
Another example of MMOG is the World of Warcraft. It is a really popular MMOG and it was played by more than 4,000,000 gamers worldwide. In one month, each of its players will have to pay $15. If multiplied by 4,000,000 players that play it, how many income that you'll get from this business?

But, there is a downside to this business. MMOG aren't easy to create. It really needs a lot of work and it can't be created by just one person. It need a company to create and distribute it so many people will know it. MMOG needs a lot of money to create it, because it have to be interesting and really needs programming and designing by more than one person.

You can even create websites to promote it, and distribute it and make it popular.

In google adsense, high Paying Keywords (HPK) are the keywords that pay you more than usual keywords.

But, there are some things that you should consider before using these keywords.

1. They won't pay you at full price

There are some keywords that pay you at high price. Google knew it, and they prevent anyone to take advantage on it.

How?

From Yahoo! Answer :

By discounting your pay per click, google has a program called Smartpricing discounts the value of clicks on your site. No one knows how this actually works. But it can affect the pricing of the ads on your site. If the advertiser paid for $0.50/click - but your site is smartpriced - then the cost may be discounted lower (e.g. $0.25). So you may try to develop a site based on high paying keywords but if smartpricing gets to you, then you may not get as much per click as what you are expecting from your keywords....

2. They are not what people looking for.

The High Paying Keywords pay much when people click it, but what if people didn't want to click it?

People search many information on the Internet. The High Paying Keywords may pay more money than the usual keywords, but what happened if people weren't searching for anything that placed in your ads? There will be few who click your ads, and you will get fewer money for this.

The simple trick to handle this is to increase the traffic to your blogs/sites. If you do, maybe some of the visitors will click one of the ads placed on your websites/blogs and you'll get money for this.

You can also post anything in other forums/websites related to your topics. That way, you knew what are they looking for and you can "serve" it on your blogs/websites.

3. They are not always displayed at your ads

Yes, they pay more money than the usual, but what if they won't display themselves in your sites ?

The topics of ads displayed on your websites is random, depending on what topic that you're talking about. If the ads that has high pay per click doesn't appear on your ads, you won't get pay by the high paying ads, because they doesn't even displayed on your ads.

To avoid this, simply post topic using high paying keywords, and there is a chance that you'll get them on your sites displayed, looking nice and fresh ^^.

How to promote my site?

There are many ways to do it. You can choose one of them or do them all.

1. You can place ads in another websites.

This is the most effective way to generate traffic for your sites. But, it requires money and money. You can set the ad as cool as you want to, and you can create the format as interesting as you can. You also can set the payment as you want to, like paying per month for your banner displayed in a website, or by paying per clicks that clicked your ads, just like google adsense. As example, if you wanted ads to appear in google, you can try this at google adwords.

2. You can promote your sites/blogs in forums and social networking sites.

The harder way is to promote it in forums, social networking sites, and also blogs. This'll require harder work than the first one. You'd have to register yourself in the forums, make more posts and comments, and also you have to leave signature that contains link to your blogs/sites in your posts/comments. Also, you can place your sites/blogs link in another blogs other than yours.

In social networking sites, you can ask your friends to promote your blogs/links ( Don't know if they would do it or not, but just ask them ^_^). The most popular social networking sites are friendster, myspace, fotolog, facebook, and many others.

3. You can also pay a visit to another blogs

Paying visit regularly to another blogs other than yours, will make the other bloggers think that you are his/her friends. You can put a link there too. Try paying a visit to another bloggers and give them your comments, and put a link there.

WARNING :

Be careful though, if you decided to do number 2 and 3, there is a possibility that you will be indicated as spammer.

Traffics are determined by the number of visitors who visit your blog/sites.

Usually, when you start to build websites/blogs, you won't get any traffic for the first time. And if you don't do something after that, your blog won't have any visitors. So the other important thing in your websites, beside the content, is the visitors.

How to get more traffic?

You all must have known that, you have to promote your blogs/sites!

There are many way to get traffic on your blog/sites, one of them is too socialize your blog/sites into social networking sites/community sites, like friendster, myspace, yahoo!360, and many others.

How to get them socialized?

Here, first you need to sign up at the sites that I mentioned. If you have already sign up, just log in. Start posting a comment or asking something at the social marketing sites. Little by little, your name will be known because of many reasons, like the number of post that you posted on the sites.

After you're no longer a "new member" on those sites, you may want to start leaving signature that refer to your blog. That way, you'll increase your traffic. If you socialize more and more, your blog traffic will increase more and your blog will have many visitors.

This process need patience, you have to wait until you're not known as the new member, because if you just sign in and post many things leaving your signature, there is a chance that the sites deleted your profile because they thought you're a spammer. But there are some sites that won't delete your profile even if your profile are still "new".

Another way is to post articles. Post good quality articles at sites that related to your blog content or to the sites that simply need someone to post articles to them. Try searching them in google.

Maybe you can start increasing traffic by socializing in your country's sites. After that, you can socialize in other country sites. From the data that I got, the top sites from USA country usually will give you many traffic.

High Paying Keywords

Today We're talking about high paying keywords (HPK) from the google adsense.

What is a high paying keyword?

If you have signed up for google adsense, you'll got ads depending on the content of your websites/blogs. Example : If your website talked about biology, then you'll got ads about campus, schools, etc.

High Paying Keywords are keywords that pay much money than the usual keywords. Sometimes, you'll get them, depending on the topic that you talked about in your websites. If someone clicks them, you will get more money than the usual keywords.

For example:

You have a website with a google adsense displayed in your pages. The number of ads displayed is 2, one pays for 0.9 dollars per click, and the other one pay for 10 dollars per click. If a visitor clicked them both twice, the number of money you'll get for the first one is 1.8 dollars, and the money you'll get for the second one is 20 dollars. That way, you'll get more income with the second ads, am I right?

Also, you'll have more benefits if your site talked about the "High Paying Keywords". That way, you'll get the high paying ads displayed in your website more than just one.

But I'm warning you, don't only rely with the high paying keywords. Because more high paying keywords doesn't mean more advertiser and traffic you'll get.

For Example : If you chose a high paying keywords into your topic, but with no one searching it, you'll get few money because there is no one who viewed your ads with the HPK, and there is few that clicked your ads with the HPK.

You can add some topics about high paying keywords on your site, but you'll have to look around who are the ones that wanted to search these ads.

Actually, websites are no different than blogs, but creating websites are more difficult than creating blogs. You'll have to put many code into it, like HTML code, Javascript code, and many others. Websites also need more setup than blogs, you'll have to set the security tight, depending on what type of websites you'll create.

Unlike blogs, you can customize it freely and you have no restrictions to create a website, you can also create your own forum, and many others.

There are many type of websites, like Commercial Websites, Social Networking websites, etc.

I want to build a website! How to start it?

Usually, the first thing that people learn before creating websites, is HTML tags.

After that, you can start learning CSS, Javascript, PHP, SQL, and many other programming language.

I am suck at programming! Is there any other way?

There are programs that can help you to create websites, like Microsoft Frontpage, Adobe web programs (Flash, etc), and many other programs. Also, you can use free or open source softwares to build your own websites.

Using programs are easier than using codes to create your own websites. But there may be some kind of problems that you can't solve only by using the programs.

Also, you need to be careful about creating websites. Nowadays, many hackers are stealing data on websites because the websites are lacking security when it was built.

If you are planning to build a website, you must also prepare some money. Unlike blogs, website aren't free. It need costs to host it and buying its domain name. It also had to be maintained regularly.
