Five member delegation of TYBM today reached South Bagma samatal para H.S. school with a bundle of miracle to be explain in front of enthusiastic teachers & students of the school who were more than forthcoming in welcoming organisation in the school today. ত্রিপুরা স্টেট কাউন্সিল ফর সায়েন্স এন্ড টেকনোলজি কর্তৃক আগরতলা প্রেস ক্লাবে আয়োজিত ওয়েস্ট ডিসট্রিক্ট সায়েন্স কম্যুনিকেটর্স কনক্লেভে আমন্ত্রিত হয়ে ত্রিপুরা যুক্তিবাদ বিকাশ মঞ্চের সদস্যরা উপস্থিত থাকে। উক্ত অনুষ্ঠানে গোমতী সায়েন্স ফোরাম এর পক্ষ থেকে শ্রী অয়ন সাহা গোমতী জেলায় তাদের কাজের রিপোর্ট পেশ করেন। তাদের বিভিন্ন কার্যকলাপ এক সচিত্র উপস্থাপনার মাধ্যমে প্রাঞ্জল ভাবে ব্যাখা করেন। কাজের অগ্রগতির পাশাপাশি উদয়পুরে জনৈক সাধুর জলপরা নিয়ে যে জনউন্মাদনা সৃষ্টি হয়েছে তাকে নিরসন করা যে অন্যান্য বজরুকিগুলির পর্দা ফাঁস করার মত সহজ নয় তা তার বক্তব্যে উঠে আসে। সুতরাং মাঠে নেমে বিজ্ঞান আন্দোলন করার ক্ষেত্রে প্রকৃত সমস্যাগুলি সম্পর্কে প্রশ্ন থেকেই যায়। সংগঠনের একজন সদস্য অলৌকিকতা ও কুসংস্কারের সামজিক উৎস সম্পর্কে আলোচনা করেন। বক্তার বক্ত্যবে বর্তমান সমাজে ধর্মের প্রেক্ষাপটে অলৌকিকতা কি করে টিকে আছে, শাসক শ্রেণী কিভাবে উদ্দেশ্যপ্রণোদিতভাবে অলৌকিকতা ও ধর্মকে সরাসরিভাবে প্রোৎসাহিত করে টিকিয়ে রাখছে, বিজ্ঞানের সুফলগুলি থেকে কেন আজও বেশীরভাগ মানুষ বঞ্চিত রয়েছে ইত্যাদি বিভিন্ন বিষয় উঠে আসে । তিনি বলেন বিজ্ঞান আন্দোলনের কর্মীদের চেতনাগত দিক থেকে দোদুল্যমান হলে চলবে না, দৈনন্দিন বিজ্ঞানচর্চায় ব্যবহারিক ক্ষেত্রে যেসব ঘটনাগুলির সম্মুখীন আমরা হই তাকে তো দূর করতেই হবে পাশাপাশি দর্শনগত দিক থেকে কুসংস্কার সহ অলৌকিকতা টিকে থাকার আসল উৎসটিকে চিহ্নিত করে নিজেদের অবস্থান সুস্পষ্ট করতে হবে। বিজ্ঞান কর্মীদের অলৌকিকতা ও কুসংস্কারের এই উৎসগুলি সম্পর্কে সচেতন থেকে এই লড়াই চালিয়ে যেতে হবে এবং শুধুমাত্র সরকারের ভরসায় বসে না থেকে জনগণকে সংগঠিত করে তাদের সাথে নিয়ে জন আন্দোলনের মাধ্যমে এর মূলোৎপাটন করতে হবে বলে উল্লেখ করেন।অনুষ্ঠানের শেষের দিকে প্রশ্নোত্তর পর্বে দর্শকরা অংশগ্রহণ করেন। ত্রিপুরা যুক্তিবাদ বিকাশ মঞ্চের আলোচনার প্রেক্ষিতে উল্লেখযোগ্য ভাবে যে প্রশ্নগুলি দর্শকদের মাঝখান থেকে উঠে আসে তা হল- '' একদিকে বিজ্ঞানের জয়গান ও অন্যদিকে ধর্ম তথা অলৌকিকতাকে প্রমোট করা নিয়ে রাষ্ট্রের দ্বিচারিতা কেন? Organization laid emphasis on the science and research of earthquake forecasting and mitigation of the problem rather so called disaster management activities which are encouraged by govt. and non-govt. platforms now a days. TYBM rises the demand of adequate research in the said field and ensure the scope for study in geology, seismology, physical geography and earthquake related subjects in college and universities of Tripura as our state is situated in highest earthquake prone zone. Play 'Ekti udvaabaner nepathye' written by Tripura Yuktibad Bikash Mancha' & performed by Ramthakur College in inter college & university drama competition organised by State council for science & technology at Icfai university on 20th January. Play was written on the accidental invention of anesthesia. The key point of the drama was that any invention of science is a part of a historical development & not a contribution of any individual. Even in the British rule missionaries did the same. today what is going on, there is nothing new. All govts are taking role in favor of this system. Point is that, is our constitution are able to fight this situation or not. Answer is no. Because our constitution is not a truly secular constitution. It has changed the meaning of secularism. Narrators narrate how in ancient time some coincidental incidents reflects to the sky observers as a effect of heavenly bodies. It was very natural, because they didnt know the cause & effect relation. With the development of astronomy astrology already condemned. But individual fortune telling served the interest of ruling class. because it moves our eyes towards the sky instead of social system. The plight of tripuris in the far flung villages were evident from the malnourished, pale looking, half clad, impoverist jhumias. Deserted infant in the bamboo make 'tong ghar's', who's parents were struggling in the jhums, harvesting for 3 manth's food, told all untold stories to the visitors. That reminded WHO slogan 'MALARIA IS A DISEASE OF POVERTY'. Total lack of disease prevention activities like DDT spraying in advance, providing insecticide impregnated mosquito nets, blood sample collection in advance was not carried out before the death toll had mountain.
