Back to School INSANITY

2013-08-07T20:17:00.000-05:00

I haven't been here
because
I've been
everywhere
else.

We are in back to school mode in W&F world.
I started school/work today.
Eli has meet the teacher day tomorrow.
Ben Henry goes back to preschool on the 19th.
Ryan starts a new sitter just 2 days a week next week.
Its pure INSANITY

School Supplies & uniforms have all been purchased.
All the extras have all been purchased.
Tonight I am sitting down to cut vinyl to label all of Ryan's baby things.
I've never had to do that for my boys before :(
They always stayed with my mother in law until they were a year old.
Kinda makes me sad...like he's a big boy already.

Nope just a 3 month old TOMORROW!!

The day a cow charged at my kid {and I laughed}

2013-08-01T07:23:00.000-05:00

I know I have posted on my blog before that my grandfather owns property where he raises cattle.

He and dad raise the cattle together and my dad has a garden there where he grows veggies.

My boys {LOVE} to go there.

They ride the tractor, the gator {a small scooter like thing}

see the cows, and the horses that live next door to the property as well.

Yesterday was one of those days when we took a ride "down the road" as they call it to see the cows. My dad was already there watering the garden.

I had already told them that it would be a quick trip, just to see the cows

but no riding on the tractor or the gator.

But PawPaw had different plans.

So yesterday became the day -

Yes, you read correctly- the cow charged at my kid and I laughed.

My child was NOT hurt, and the cow was behind a gate.

But the look on my kids face was priceless.

Here's what happened.

We get to the farm, and PawPaw was already there, they hopped out of the car and the boys run to the gate where the cows are fenced in. Here's what it looks like.

The cows are pretty standoff-ish and not really worrying about the boys at all.

But as all PawPaws do - down the path he came with the gator and took the boys for a quick ride

even though I had already told them their would be NO rides.

I love their faces in the picture on the right. They love riding with their PawPaw!

So after the ride was over we had to saw goodbye to the cows. Here is where is got a little funny.

Now I know bulls will charge when you have a red shirt.

And I didn't even think a thing about the fact that all 3 of them had on red but after the fact we did.

So this happens.

And it always does, so its not out of the ordinary for any of the grandkids to be on the gate so that's not what made the cow charge - but anyway- Eli is on the top of the gate and talking to the cows and as he is saying whatever to the cow in the front the cow out of no where charges at the gate-

I have never in my life seen him jump down, run so fast, and scream, while laughing, mind you. He was laughing and screaming, "stupid cow- don't charge me, don't charge me!"

I know I probably should have been more concern but I wasn't it was really funny and I knew the cow was behind the gate and wasn't able to get out.

So there is the story of the day my child was charged by a cow and I laughed-

in my defense he laughed too!

Saying Yes to the Dress!

2013-07-29T21:10:00.001-05:00

Sorry to leave y'all hanging this weekend-

Saturday morning I went WEDDING DRESS shopping with my cousin Kayla-

I really was honored to be invited to go dress shopping with her and her entourage.

Kayla grew up in the house next to me, her mom and my mom are sisters.

She is like one of my little sisters. I am so excited she and Drew are getting married.

She also knows how much I {love} weddings.

I'm not sure if you can see it, but that is my mom commenting under my post

saying how I will get crazy-

In my defense I did say I have a tendency to become obsessed but all she had to do was say stop ;)

Here is the entourage after she said "yes to the dress!"

The 2nd dress she tried on! It is beautiful and she is going to be {STUNNING}!

Can not wait until April!

{and look Baby Ryan even made it into the picture}

Happy Insta-Friday!

2013-07-26T09:22:00.000-05:00

Holla! It's Friday! and that means its time to link up with the lovelies at Life ReArranged for

This week is a MESS of pictures

I've got pics of the kiddos, pics of things I've found online for friends & family, not so nice things, and very very funny things, so sit back and just look at the pics.

Everyone knows that is the most fun- looking at every one's life!

Grab some coffee, diet coke, or hey its Friday, grab a drink!

Take a peek into my life this week!

Apparently this week was a big week for me online :)

I was into Pinterest a lot as well. Spent a lot of time there and found things that made me think of family and friends. Some of these pins have not such great language so excuse that- but they immediately made me take a screen shot and text it to a friend.

{you know who you are }

Some days, I really crack myself up Phwaa!!

On Wednesday or Thursday I got an email from The Chirping Moms, that I had won their giveaway and I won this!

Yay! No more broken pack n play for us!

So exciting! Since Ryan is our last baby

we were just going to make do with our messed up Pack n Play.

Now we don't have too!

Yay for giveaways! and yes people do actually win! ;)

In other news- Mr. Seriousness was 11 weeks old on Wednesday! We had a tiny photo shoot!

Again we had some Tummy Time, again, he was less than thrilled!

And today was the best day of all!!

Yay! Momma feels human again!

A full nights sleep!!

Happy Friday!!

Brothers Shared Space

2013-07-25T00:00:00.000-05:00

Eli & Ben Henry started sharing a room some time in late March, early April.

I have yet to decorate their room the way I want.

The wall still looks like this

The wall are not this yellow. The picture is just really bad, please excuse my iphone :)

The walls are a beige color called Macadamia by Sherwin Williams, not sure why it is SO yellow in this picture.

Anyway, Ben Henry's bed is a trundle, its hidden underneath Eli's so they have space to play in the room during the day. We have a shelving unit on one side of the room for all their toys,

a dresser for clothes against the window with curtains covering the windows,

and a small night stand with the TV on it.

That all that fits in the room

So I really want the wall to be cute and make a statement. We are changing the bedding too. Right now it is white with teal and brown writing but its just the duvet cover. Neither of the boys are really into the music theme right now so I am going to go with the red comforter that is inside that duvet.

{Can you believe you cant see a red comforter inside that white duvet cover?}

So help me!

I have pinned some ideas on my boards over on Pinterest.

Anyone have any opinions?

Gallery Wall from The Sweetest Pear

I wouldn't do mirrors, but maybe picture frames of different styles & colors.
Could put pictures of them and their artwork.

I could throw in a printable or two? like this one from Shanty 2 Chic

I also like these garlands from Land of Nod- they come in cute colors,
a few of these would be really cute too!

I'd like to add the letters of their first names to the wall too!
Just don't want it to get to crazy and look like a mess!

So everyone! Give your opinions!

So what Wednesday...

2013-07-24T09:45:00.001-05:00

Linking up with Shannon @ Life After I "Dew" for

SO WHAT if....

I am still exhausted from this weekend and its Wednesday.

I am THRILLED that they are playing The Hills reruns every single morning on Mtv. I am wasting every single morning watching them.

These boys are driving me BANANAS- back to school can not come soon enough. Please stop the fighting!

We booked a beach trip with our friends for September, late September and I have already started a countdown. I need something to look forward to! 50 days!!

Happy Wednesday :)

Case of the Mondays-

2013-07-22T08:17:00.000-05:00

This weekend was Eli's 6th birthday party.

We had it at the bowling alley.

He had so much fun.

I was very excited for him because all of him friends from school came.

We had some friends over after the party and that lasted most of the night ;)

Then on Sunday we spent the day at a friends house swimming & hanging out.

Our weekend was spent hanging out with friends and it was lovely.

BUT I AM EXHAUSTED!

I really wanted to do a recap of the party and post pictures

but I've got a case of the Mondays I think.

Happy Blah Monday! ;)

Christmas in July~ Christmas Trees

2013-07-19T14:43:00.001-05:00

Happy Friday everyone!

Today is the last installment in my Christmas in July series.

I think the best way to end the week is to wrap up with Christmas Trees!

I love to have my tree decorated as early as possible that way I can enjoy it all Christmas season long.

We always keep our tree decorated until Jan.6th, which is All Kings Day,

the start of Mardi Gras Season in New Orleans.

Some people in New Orleans actually decorate their artificial trees for the Mardi Gras season.

(I may have to do a post on that!)

Christmas in July- Wreaths

2013-07-18T16:09:00.002-05:00

I always feel that the front door sets the tone for the way you decorate your home.

I love, love, love, wreaths- and not just for the front door either.

I think that you can add wreaths all over your house.

Here are just a few that caught my eyes for the Christmas season.

Christmas in July- Merry Christmas Mantles

2013-07-17T00:00:00.000-05:00

I am {OBSESSED} with mantles.

I think this is because we don't have one in our house.

We were able to pick and choose what we wanted in our house when we built it and we went with French Door opening to our deck into our backyard, instead of a fireplace.

There are only about 2 weeks a year I wish we had a fireplace.

There are a lot of weeks I wish we had a mantle.

I would love to have a place to decorate.

I do have a very large entertainment center that I decorate a lot but its still not a mantle in the traditional sense that I would like.

Here are some of the {BEAUTIFUL} mantles I have found around blog land -

and apparently polk a dots are huge!

I love them too :)

I love to decorate the outside of my house for Christmas.

I was able to get a few links of some traditional porches and a few not so traditional porches.

It's Christmas in July- Elf on The Shelf Ideas

2013-07-15T00:00:00.000-05:00

Happy Monday everyone!

I usually really dislike Mondays,

but since its the beginning of my Christmas in July series its making me really happy today!

Today I am going to share some really cute links I have found for your Elf on the Shelf.

Some of them you may have seen before, others are so stinkin' cute and some are WAY over the top. I would like to know how these mommas and daddies are pulling these off

with out waking up the kiddos.

I have the links to each of these underneath the picture. I did find most of the links through the site, Elf on the Shelf Ideas. I am sure I will be checking this site out when December rolls around again. Make sure you bookmark it and check it out for yourself.

1.An Elf & his Glue gun 2. Gangam Style Elf 3. Board Game Elf

4. Basketball Game Elf 5. All Aboard the Elf Express

1. Marshmallow Fight 2. Underwear Tree 3. Glitter Message

4. Hangin with Superheroes 5. Block Message

I don't know if I have a favorite of this but I do think that some of these are very creative.

The glitter message could be used when the kids are misbehaving to let them know that the elves are watching. The block message could be used in the same way.

I know my boys would {LOVE} to wake up

and find their Christmas tree decorated in their underwear with their elf hiding in it.

I know all the crafty moms are loving the Elf and his glue gun too! He burned his little hands.

Make your Elf personal, if its going on in your house, fit it in with your elf's life too.

The kids will love it!

We had such a fun time last year with this activity.

I even had my college aged cousin in on it with me

sending me pictures of ideas she had found and wanted me to do with the kids.

I would post pics of my elf doing silly things each night on facebook.

My family loved it.

My kids loved it.

I had fun finding things to do with him as well.

I think its a great tradition to start with the family as well.

Happy Monday everyone!

Spread the word to all your friends its Christmas in July!

It's Christmas In July

2013-07-14T09:40:00.001-05:00

Make sure you stop by each day this week.

I will have a round up each day of different Christmas ideas.

I have complied different links for Christmas themes.

I have links for wreaths, mantles, porches & front doors, Christmas Trees,

and even some fun Elf on the Shelf Ideas.

I had the best time doing this with my kids this year.

I am really looking forward to it this year.

I have found the best blogs through my research too.

Can't wait to share these links with y'all. Hope to see y'all around this week!

Spread the word to all your friends!

It's Christmas in July!

Insta Friday Link up Yay for Friday!

2013-07-12T16:14:00.000-05:00

So glad its Friday...that means linking up over at Life Rearranged. I love linking up and looking at every one's pics from the week. Its like getting a little peek into every one's week. So head on over and share you pics from the week.

My Ryan turned 2 months old on Monday- he had his checkup, doctor declared him

{PERFECT}

He had to get shots too- I was not a happy momma.

He broke my heart, he cried so hard , he couldn't even take a bottle afterwards.

{Poor sweet thing}

He was a perfect angel after that though, not fussy and no fever! Yay!

Here are the outtakes from our 2 month shoot.

Ben Henry started swimming lessons on Tuesday.

He had the doggy paddle down when he started, but now he is swimming like a champ

In 3 days he went from doggy paddling to this

Awesome huh?

Ben Henry is a swimmer!

I completed the 2nd week of the Couch to 5K challenge! Go me!

I was online looking at gym clothes and found running tanks.

Some of them are pretty cute and others are just hilarious like this one I texted a friend :)

I also encountered one of my biggest boy mom problems this week

{LEGOS}

Oh how I HATE legos!

HATE HATE HATE

I know, hate is a strong word but, I do, I hate legos.

They are small, they are complicated, and they hurt like hell when you step on them.
And of course Eli LOVES them.

Happy 2 months Ryan!

2013-07-09T20:59:00.004-05:00

My BABY is 2 months old!

Well, technically he was 2 months old yesterday.

But I say kudos to me for getting this post up today, only one day late.

Happy 2 months sweet boy!!

Good Morning Sunshine!

2013-07-08T00:00:00.000-05:00

Are you a morning person?

I admit it.
I AM NOT.
I never have been.
Don't know if I ever will be.
I would really like to be.

With 3 boys,
a husband,
a house to keep up,
and school starting in less than a month,
I am trying to find time for me.
Everything I read says
get up early,
before your kids,
take that time for yourself.

I would rather sleep.
I love sleep.
We have a really good relationship.
This is me before say, 10 am.

I even googled, and Pintrested some ideas on HOW to become a morning person.

Here's what I've got.

via lovelyish.com

1. Don't use electronic devices- TV or iPhone an hour before bed.

it says to listen to music or read before bed, I wonder if my Kindle counts?

2. No spicy foods, or chocolate.

(doable I think)

3. Wake up at the same time every day-

this is a must for me b/c of migraines..gotta keep with a sleep pattern

its also hard with a newborn

4. Get in some form of exercise.

I would love to get up early enough to do this.

Maybe.

5. Give a reward for getting up early and sticking with it.

New outfit, cup of coffee, shoes, something fun

All these things sound doable.

Just have to make myself DO IT!

Are you a morning person?

Have you always been a morning person?

What's your morning routine?

Please leave me some tips on becoming a morning person.

I need all the help I can get!

Happy Monday!

Ryan is 2 months old today!

I confess...

2013-07-06T00:00:00.000-05:00

Saw this post yesterday and thought...I've got plenty to confess..who doesn't..so I'm linking up with

I confess....that I am not a morning person.

I confess...that I will run a sink full of hot soapy water with good intentions of washing bottles 3-4 times a day and finally wash the bottles around 9pm.

I confess...that I have clean laundry in my laundry basket for at least two weeks and we just throw it in the dryer before we wear it to get the wrinkles out...I HATE TO FOLD LAUNDRY.

I confess....that I hate to match socks when I actually do the laundry so I just throw them all in one basket and let everyone find their own socks.

I confess...that I will never become a morning person and I NEED to become one! (School starts in a month)

So what do you have to confess? Go link up with these fab ladies and you will realize its not as bad as you think ;)

Happy Saturday everyone!

Insta Friday

2013-07-05T12:33:00.000-05:00

It's Friday- that means its time to link up over at LifeRearranged for

If you aren't following me on Instagram you should be- its fun & I post cute pics :)

Really I do.

I'm warmnfuzzyblog

Saturday I had my 1st drink since Ryan was born.

and it was DELICIOUS!

White Russian daiquiri...Ahhhh!!

Sunday we took the big boys downtown to eat at Manning's-

we had lunch and went to the Aquarium.

As you can tell they were very excited about lunch.

When we got home from the aquarium Ben told me he had a headache.

He stayed in bed until Wednesday.

He had no other symptoms except the fever-

I even took him to the doctor on Wednesday

got him the all clear, just fever- very weird.

Wednesday Night we hung out with my Dad's family.

My Granny's Assisted living place had a 4th Celebration.

We had dinner with her and a GREAT view of the fireworks.

Ryan slept through the WHOLE thing.

That's my boys and their cousins on the blanket.

Thursday- 4th of July Fun!

We hung out with friends. Here are all the kids after they DEMOLISHED a bowl of skittles

This sums up the day.

FUN & SUN!

Ryan would also like to tell you Hi.

Happy Friday everyone! Have a great long weekend!

I don't ~ but if I did

2013-07-04T09:17:00.002-05:00

I don't decorate for 4th of July, or even for the summer really. Which really is a shame. My house is pretty bland right now. I do however decorate for football season. I cant wait to get a new football wreath for the upcoming season. I know priorities right?

I am however LOVING everyone's patriotic and adorable red, white, and blue décor. I would love to try to recreate some of these ideas that are jumping out at me-

{I don't ~ but if I did}

via The Project Corner

via OWD Design Studio on Etsy
(these pompoms are adorable, they are also my nemesis, for the life of me I cannot make them)
{they ALWAYS, fall apart}

Have a Happy & Safe 4th Everyone!
We will be celebrating with great friends, what are you doing for the 4th?

2nd times the charm right?

2013-07-03T00:00:00.000-05:00

I'm not sure if anyone who followed me then is still here now and following along BUT-

I wrote THIS POST almost TWO years ago.

I NEVER would have thought that I would have been sitting here with another baby boy just feet away from me, or that so many things would have changed in my life.

I had downloaded the Couchto5K app on my phone and was determined to lose weight and get in shape.

I think I did it once, maybe twice and never did it again.

via

This time- its different!

I am into week two, I am enjoying.

I have signed up for my first 5K and am actually looking forward to it.

I enjoy the alone time of my walk/run.

I enjoy the peace of just giving myself that time for ME.

Even if it is 30 minutes.

With 3 boys and a husband at home I get NO peace and certainly no quiet.

I love them all to pieces but sometimes momma needs a little solitude.

I'm hoping to have great results to share with you at the end of the month.

Bowling Party- Planning for Eli's 6th Birthday

2013-07-02T00:00:00.000-05:00

The local bowling alley has "cosmic" bowling.

Lights out. Black lights on.

Tween music blaring.

Its going to be a blast!

Here is the invite from delightfulprints over on Etsy

I love the way the invite glows.

We reminded all the kids to wear bright clothes

so that they all glow under the black lights!

I ordered a few dozen bowling ball and bowling pin cookies on neon colors as favors.

I'm going to hit up the local Dollar Store for glow in the dark bracelets, necklaces, and rings to go along with the cookies for fun at the party as well.

They don't allow you to decorate much so I am only allowed to bring table cloths and a birthday banner. I am going to make some sort of combination of all of these.

via dixiedelights.blogspot.com

via RandR Creations on Etsy

Mirabelle Creations on Etsy

Don't have to much to do except make the banner.

It's a weird feeling since this is our first party for any of the boys that isn't at our house.

I do have to decide about the cake- but that is for a whole other post. :)

Happy Tuesday everyone!

2013-06-29T12:37:00.001-05:00

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Confused?

2013-06-29T12:16:00.000-05:00

Maybe its because I've been gone for so long, but I don't get all the freaking out because Google reader is going away on Monday..I don't use it to read blogs I read others blog from my blogger page.

I guess the reason is because we will no longer had GFC right? Someone help a girl out?

So all those "followers" I have alienated for the last few months I now have to rebuild those relationship in some other way right? Like Bloglovin'? I guess/assume, I shouldn't assume huh? that's what everyone is doing?

Ok so I guess I am going to spend this rainy Saturday afternoon figuring it all out!

Happy Saturday everyone!!
