As a mother of a child with ASD I can assure you, unless you live with someone like this you really have no idea what special needs really means. I have never spoken about this issue in public but this is what we all need to do. Talk about it with people who have hands on experience like myself.

The first time I ever thought my child has issues was the first day of kindy. I was waiting outside the classroom for my child, ready to hug him and congratulate him on his first day of school as a big boy. kids were coming out of the class room one by one and my heart sank when I didn't see my son. My heart was beating with anxiety as I ran up the steps to find my son and speak with the teacher. The teacher was a lovely woman who greeted me kindly, held my hands and said "It's ok dear, your son is waiting for you in the school office".

I was so worried, I ran to the office only to be greeted by the school principal. With my heart pounding till I could physically see it through my t shirt, she guided me into her office where my son was sitting. She closed the door behind me and I quickly knelt down, hugged my child and asked him if he was ok. He hugged me tightly around my neck and said "Mama, can we go home now?"

That was one of the worst days of my life!

Introducing great friend of mine named Dolapo who is just your average guy who just so happens to have an amazing vocal range and a talent for song writing.

Dolapo was born in Ibadan in Nigeria Africa. Dolapo already has celebrity status with two of his songs featured in a Nigerian comedy film by Mr E titled "Jand Hustle" which won The Best Experimental Film Award at the 10th edition of the Abuja International Film Festival.

Last year we did an exclusive interview with Dolapo about his songs in Jand Hustle. titled "Survivor" and "My First Love". A few weeks ago I were lucky to hear a new song by this amazing guy titled "My Very Best". The lyrics of the song are meaningful even encouraging and the catchy chorus just appealed. We decided to create awareness on social media including Facebook and Reverbnation just to test the waters and to our surprise within 24 hours Dolapo's Facebook page had over 100 likes and he is ranked #1 on reverbnation. Dolapo's hobby as a singer songwriter may be more than just a simple hobby after all.

This is what Tunde told us at Utopia Magazine just a short time after his featuring performance at the monthly thanks giving service at The Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton Abuja on Sunday December 7 2014.

We asked Tunde all about his feature performance at the Sunday service. Tunde goes on to describe his performance.

It was awesome! It was a christian gospel performance reminding every one to make use of their god given gifts to the benefit of mankind.

The first song titled "My Gift" was written by Yemi Akinwonmi one of the founding members of Styl-Plus. We plan to do it together some day.

Also I reminded people not to judge themselves for being imperfect thereby feeling God will not receive them back if they tried because of how far they strayed from him.
The Third song titled "Reaching for your throne" talked about me talking to God trying to get back to him. The song was written by myself (Tunde Akinsanmi) and Shifi Emoefe as far back as 1999.

Speaking at a Q&A session in California we hear from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg speaking about possibly adding a "Dislike button"feature to the giant social networking site Facebook.

"We are thinking about it
The Like button is very valuable because its a way to quickly express a positive emotion or sentiment when some one puts them selves out there and shares something.
There are more sentiments that people want to express than just positivity or if they like something.
A lot of times people share things on Facebook that are sad moments in their lives or are tough cultural or social things and often people tell us that they don't feel comfortable pressing like because like isn't the appropriate sentiment when some one lost a loved one or its talking about a very difficult issue and I think that when people have the power in more ways with more emotions would be powerful but we need to figure out the right way to do it so it ends up being a force for good and not a force for bad and demeaning the post people are putting out there."

Dancing Traffic Light Makes Pedestrian Crossings Fun And Safer

There comes a time where every one has to cross the street at some point. We all use pedestrian crossings. We hit the buzzer usually a few times because we are usually in a rush to get some where then play the waiting game waiting till the little red man turns green so we can safely cross the road. What if we had something to entertain us while we wait?

Would this make us more likely to wait at the crossing instead of crossing the road impatiently and risking being hit by a car? This following video is fun and entertaining. Music along with a dancing little red man light at a pedestrian crossing in Lisbon, the capital of the largest city in Portugal.

On the following video they say "We believe that smart ideas can turn the city into a better place. Like a dancing traffic light that makes people wait and watch rather than walk through the red light."

This is exactly what the world needs and we are sure you too will agree. Imagine how many lives would be saved each year. Imagine this for a second... when we are young we are all trained to learn in a fun, colourful manner at home by our parents and in school by our teachers. I can still remember Road Safety being taught to me in kindergarten. The teacher gave us a drawing of a set of traffic lights.We had to colour it the appropriate colours and trace over the words stop, go and wait. This early life lesson in road safety stuck with me.

So imagine if we as adults can be entertained, have fun, be more social towards one another, be more patient and learn something new at a pedestrian crossing, imagine the positive impact this create for all of us and our communities and the future education for our children. I love this!

Doctor Perfects Immunization Shots Makes Baby Laugh

This is the kind of doctor ever child needs to go see if they are sick or need their immunization shots. The Doctor uses the art of laughter and distraction to make the baby feel comfortable and happy before the needle jab.

We see here that when the child received the second shot, he was clearly distressed but the doctor then came to the rescue with a box of tissues throwing them up in the air and the baby starts giggling. The Dad was very impressed and was laughing too.

Stray Dog Follows Swedish Adventure Racing World Championship Team Gets A New Family

Meet Arthur the stray dog who followed an extreme sports team during a grueling 430-mile race through the Amazon rainforest and refused to leave their side until the finish.

Team Peak Performance were sat down for a meal before a 20 mile trek in Ecuador when they saw a stray dog. Swedish group were taking part in the Adventure Racing World Championship through the Amazon rain forest.

Mikael Lindnord fed the animal a meatball before the team carried on but the scruffy creature followed them.They tried to get rid of him, primarily for his own safety, but he refused to go so he became a fifth team member. The group of four decided to name him Arthur and have now adopted him and flown him back to Sweden. Lindnord said:

"I came to Ecuador to win the World Championship. Instead, I got a new friend'.

Delta used to play a character named Nina Tucker on Neighbours, Australia's longest running soapy which is still going strong to this day. Detla now 30 so it will be interesting to see how they write her back in the script for her guest appearance. Delta originaly had to leave the show as she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. She made a brief return in 2004 to tie up her character's loose ends. Delta's smash hit single "Innocent Eyes" is still popular today.

Hyper Sexualized - The Corruption Of Children - Awareness for Everyone!

The following article is written because firstly I am a women, a mum, was a teen, was a girl child and I am now an aunty to an 11 month girl. We came across the following video on Youtube "Hyper sexualized Part 1 The corruption of children"
which is filled with content that most of us do not agree with. This video and title of the video is even so off the rickter scale and extremely controversial that if we could edit it and get away with it we certainty would.

The only reason why we are sharing this video is for awareness purposes only.

Before you attempt to watch the video below, we would like to point out certain parts of the video only.

The content is what it is, so we will only list the time frames for you that we feel should be mentioned as an awareness tool.

We do not agree with the material in this video including any religious themes, references or any such things to violate children,s rights. We are child advocates and the following video is disturbing to us.

Since this article could be rather lengthy, we will write a second part 2 article at a later date. Here are the main points we will focus on in this post.

0.5seconds - 0.58 seconds
Video starts out by saying:
"Today's children are bombarded by an array of media glamorising sex along with an onslaught of sexual images and innuendos."

Talent show- Little girl dancing to an inappropriate age song and lyrics, gesturing in a sexual manner and wearing clothing which is suggestive.

0.58 seconds - 2.06 seconds - Geena Davis speaks about Hyper sexualization of girls.
Genna says "what was really disturbing was that we found a lot of hyper sexuality of the female characters in TV and Movies aimed at little kids. Example: In G rated animated films. The female characters wear the same amount of sexually revelling clothing as the female characters in (R Rated) movies."

3.50 seconds - 4.37 seconds
Baby Brats dolls. We see here that the dolls are in fact dressed in sexy lingerie or the way a prostitute may dress. Are these the kind of dolls to give to your tiny child for imaginary role play?

We have all loved or had an idol when we were growing up. We still do as adults. What kind of sick messed up world are the youths currently living in when they feel that they have to self harm including cutting themselves to prove their worthiness of being the biggest fan.

This last screen shot is probably every parents worst nightmare. Not only would the teen require emergency medical care but also physiological care. This young girl wants to be a #belieber A believer of Justin who at the end of the day is just like any other youth except he has fame.

This young girl is obviously smart about drugs but is devastated about her Idol and wants to prove she is his biggest fan. Its an urgent cry for help.

Kids are so impressionable, They mimic what they see. This girl may have seen other people cutting them selves so impulsively decided in her mind that she would cut herself too.

On Twitter a young teen says #cut4justin Justin please, I beg you, stop smoking weed or i might actually kill myself. #beliebers.

24.08 - 25.26
This part of the video is really great. We seen Young girls discussing Nicki Minaj, The difference between pretty and sexy. The best news is that one of the girls talks about girls that have been altered to look pretty. These girls are very informed about the use of photoshop in media and magazines. Listening to these girls, there is hope for change.

This final part of the video we wanted to make you aware of, is what made us write this article in the first place. After viewing this stomach churning dance instructor and the parents who clearly know that it is wrong for their young daughters to be pretending to be nude on stage, are still willing to allow their 10 year old girls to participate in this dance. This is disgusting behaviour on the part of the dance instructor and the parents.

Sexualizing a child is inappropriate, ignorant and anyone responsible in feeding into this including parents of these children should be prosecuted straight up.

26.53-28.11
Caption reads:
"Parents are selling their daughters souls to these so called dance instructors who are doing nothing more than satisfying the fantasies of pedophiles."

The Dance instructor says to the girls "The audience should think that you are nude." The little girls and parents are totally shocked.

One dance mum says "No one ever wants to hear the word nude associated with 10 year old. EVER!"
Another parent says "Excuse me? I think I didn't hear that." Little 10 year old girl says "I don't want to be naked on stage." Another girl says "I'm only 11" holding her hand over her mouth in shock. The dance instructor tells the child "I Know, That's why you can get away with it."

Katy Perry Is currently Down Under in Sydney Australia on her Prismatic world tour with last nights show held at the Allphones Arena. It was an amazing event. Australia just loves Katy Perry. In the news today the title reads "Perry’s inner Aussie comes out while on tour ‘Down Under’ and she even tries Vegemite".

Reading the article about Kim on paper magazine. All we hear is a story by some one who really is curious about her. I'm wondering if this person is just mildly obsessed with her body, her features and her "Aura" as mentioned. Then again the full article is there for you to read to form your own opinions. The article goes on about kim and the thumbs up from husband Kanye doing the full frontal nudity shoot and blah blah blah blahhhhh!

The interesting part of this article is this comment as follows:

Her perceived lack of accomplishment is also, perhaps, an accomplishment in itself.

Star Wars Darth Vader and Storm Troopers Dance

There are great and memorable moments in entertainment history like MC Hammer's song "You Can't Touch This" and the epic Movie Star Wars. What Happens when MC Hammer verses Darth Vader and the storm troopers ? Well this video has resurfaced today on Facebook. So instead of just giving credit to a radio station Facebook page who doesn't own the video, I decided to find out exactly where this video came from. After having a chat to my friend Google The video was shot at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park of the Walt Disney World Resort. It was probably a star wars fan who went to see it. Then again it may have been the resort.

The resort runs Star Wars Weekends which features appearances by cast and crew members from Disney's Star Wars franchise created by George Lucas. This following video is viral around the web so trying to find the original owner is harder than you can imagine. I believe this video which was uploaded on July 2009 just may be the original.

Shout out to the real person who recorded this video and the performers.
