There has been a champion, a hero that too many people do not know about.

There have been a few movies, but none of those have made justice to the incredible story of fierce villain Tiger Mask who becomes a heroic wrestler idolised by kids.

In 2013 a Japanese movie by the name of The Tiger Mask was released but soon forgotten, when fans all around felt cheated watching a movie about a guy wearing a mask of magic powers.

The original Tiger mask (a Japanese manga series written by Ikki Kajiwara, illustrated by Naoki Tsuji and then televised into an anime series by Toei Animation) tells the heroic story of a runner orphan, Naoto Date scouted by mysterious organisation Tiger's Cave.

The group trains young men to become villainous heel wrestlers and collects half of their earnings. However Naoto Date hopes other orphans will not have to go through a diffult life so he begins to donate his earnings to an orphanage where he grew up, including the portion that is supposed to go to Tiger's Cave.

Tiger's Cave now considers Naoto Date a traitor and they send assassins to get rid of Tiger Mask.

The Yellow Devil will be the first movie set to explore the story of extremely vicious fighter Tiger Mask alter ego of warm-hearted Naoto Date.

We are really looking forward to this film and if it is a straight adaptation from the manga and anime origins, then we are in for something ferociously spectacular.

In fact this new documentary, (baptised DOW) will venture on a journey to unfolds the magic of the classic Steven Spielberg's first movie Duel!! you know the movie right?
Ho wait...(1971) big truck trying to kill a guy driving a red Plymouth Valiant?
We sure new the scary memory of the Peterbilt 281 truck would get on to you...

Truth is ..we have been working on DOW for 2 years among a lot of other stuff and at the moment we are crowd funding on Kickstarter.

A Chinese King is coming back - MOKEY KING RELOADED -

Based on the 16th century novel Journey to the West, (one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature) Monkey King movies have come out in many adaptations from China to Hong Kong through Japan. Most memorable adaptation still remains the 1960s classic cartoon Monkey Makes Havoc in Heaven also translated as Uproar in Heaven.

Now a new cgi adaptation is communing out from Media Asia making it its first English-language 3D animated film.

Monkey King Reloaded (the title of the new movie) is directed by Felix Ip and Paul Wang of Hong Kong-based Unicorn Studios, the former production team of Imagi Animation Studios that previously brought us Tmnt and Astro Boy.
The story takes place in New York City where a Sichuan zoo monkey travels to rescue a human friend endangered by a maleficent plan of Demon King.

Seen what these guys have done previously, this new adaptation will be definitely worth it to watch.
Fun and cool action is their trademark... looking forward to this...

There is a superhero that not many people know about. It was used to be called CICLONE but then it changed to NEMBO KID.

Here's the story of the not so well known origin of the world's famous super hero NEMBO KID.

who the hell is NEMBO KID?

The answer:

Concocted in Italy NEMBO KID is nonetheless than a moniker for SUPERMAN used by the Italian publisher Mondadori as a solution to pay less royalties to DC comics.

Infact Superman appeared in Italy on a weekly magazine called Audace in 1939, but then the alias NEMBO KID which literarily means (The Cloud Boy) was used between 1954 and 1966 when publishing went to another weekly magazine called Albi del Falco

This ingenious strategy though produced a few problems to the Italian translators and Italian illustrators that trickily had to repaint the colour of the suit (in the beginning was going to be changed to the italian flag's colour RED cape/WHITE shied/GREEN suit, but printing went wrong) and meticulously changing the S from the hero's chest and cape into a red shield first, and than, some how yellow from number 19.

Also some of the story were written by italian authors who portraited Superman/Nembo kid in a more human direction, oriented to use his super powers (renamed Ultra powers) for the welfare of the general public .

Although the origin of this weird translation (Nembo Kid) are unknown,
you can appreciate what Superman looked like in the 40s Italian Fashion.

It has been a long time since we have posted anything about art.

All we need it was to find something that would propel us to do so....and we found that something in the shocking and beautiful art of Choi Xoo Ang.

Originally from South Korea,Choi Xoo Ang is a mixed media artist that creates figurative sculptures in clay and resin. He isolates and decontextualizes parts of the human body, modifies its proportions to create works that unearth disturbing dark emotions.
The sculptures have moving expressions usually anger and frustration are written on their faces.

For those of you who do not know anything about it, please check the Lupin the III pilot in this post and surely you will understand why such a character (born in '67 from the pen of Katō Kazuhiko) is loved by so many.

THE NEXT GENERATION - Patlabor - 機動警察パトレイバ

Finally this project is coming to light.
On 21 March 2013 at the Tokyo International Anime Fair, Tohokushinsha Film Corporation (TFC), who had previously co-produced all of the Patlabor anime, announced that they would be producing a Patlabor live action project due for release in 2014.

In a press conference via video streaming site Nico Nico Live on 25 September 2013, it was officially announced that Patlabor-next generation will take the form of a 12 part series comprising of 48 minute episodes and a 15 minute "Episode 0" prologue.
Confusingly the episodes will be released as a seven part limited theatrical release with the first part to premier in the Shinjuku Piccadilly cinema complex on 5 April 2014.
Although we would have loved to see a stand alone movie, this trailer shows how much effort was put into the whole production.

The life-sized models in the trailers of the AV-98 Ingram (16m-tall) looks more than promising.

We have been looking for a while for this, mainly because in our latest project we went through a fase of studies and used the short Tango to get some inspiration.

It is a milestone, would be really surprised if you got bored of it.

"Tango" a clever and spectacularly executed 1980 film by director Zbigniew Rybczynski from Polish short-film studio Se-ma-for. The cinematography, capturing multiple events taking place simultaneously in a closed space, was so complicated and required such precision that Rybczynski worked on the film for nearly a year, eating and sleeping on the set. Finally some light shed on the upcoming Saint Seiya CGI movie. After the announcement in 2011, here the first images of the new Saints's look....

Despite the heavy resembles to the Final Fantasy style, we believe there is more behind the doors, hopefully a full helmet armour will appear in the movie (as it seems to be wore by Phoenix in the poster).

The official website for the Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary CG film unveiled a poster and new visuals on Saturday.

The poster features the message "Save your Athena" and asks, "Have you ever felt Cosmo?" The image features the main characters, including Athena, as well as a panoramic view of the Sanctuary.

Toei Animation confirmed in February 2011 that production on a new computer-animated film ofSaint Seiya had been green-lit. Keiichi Satou (Tiger & Bunny, Ashura), is helming the project, and Kurumada is credited as the original creator and chief production supervisor. (He also coined the film's title.) Tomohiro Suzuki, a scriptwriter for six episodes of Tiger & Bunny, is writing the screenplay.
