Seasons greetings! It's about that time of the year we celebrate Christmas world wide and its a very special moment . Well for me, I have decided to spend writing to you on information that will keep you updated and entertained. I am a professional content writer, final year student at a university in Nairobi pursuing law, very passionate about law and politics, participates in monthly university magazine, debates and article writings. Furthermore, I am a specialist in data entry and management.

He is now 26 years old he is a billionaire.Yap! Other people discover their purpose after years of schooling and reading books that they finally decide on what to practice in order to earn a living, perhaps I can call it a career.

In an Ambitious projection of achieving the Judicial mandate of serving the public of the republic of Kenya, the Kenyan Judicial system had to undergo a Major transformation.

Coupled with the weight of expectant Kenyans in the Legal field, a myriad of Pending or undecided cases, some even 'lost' or missing, some available but illegible, smart solutions needed to be developed to cure the thirst of a nations over-reliance on manual bureaucratic processes to a more modern Techno-advance process albeit 'simple' and user friendly.

Further more, the COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated this change.

BENEFITS

The use of the internet, can offer the chance to open the Judiciary to the public, providing both general and specific information on its activities, thereby increasing legitimacy.

The case flow management reports are the greatest utility when they are generated to monitor court performance that is related to case processing time standards or goals. To meet these challenges, it is imperative that the functioning of courts have to be modernized by better technological management.

The move from paper to electronic forms is a vital step in the evolution of a modern organization nervous system. Once in place, a digital nervous system is easy to build on. A good network, a good e-mail system, and easy to build web pages are everything needed for eliminating internal paper forms.

The benefit to the litigant public is that the members of staff spend less time shuffling papers and more time attending to the needs of the litigant public.

a) Improved cost effectiveness of judicial services. Virtual appearances will reduce the frequency of and costs of transporting judicial officers, para-legal staff, litigants, witnesses, and advocates to court.

b) Improved access to justice The technology reduces two significant barriers to accessing justice, the cost of litigation, and the geographical distance between litigants and court stations. Reeduced operational costs translate into a reduction in the overall cost of litigation – (though initial capital investment is expensive).

c) Faster and expeditious disposal of cases. The hearing of cases will be less predisposed to the common causes of adjournment, such the unavailability of litigants and witnesses.

d) Improved judicial records management.Courts will maintain video records of their proceedings. An electronic video record is not only durable and highly accurate but it is also easily tracked, stored, managed and reproduced at a low cost. Easy storage and retrieval of the records and the recording of speech-to-text transcripts of court proceedings.

DISADVANTAGES

As most of you know, nothing in this world is perfect, the digitization process of the judiciary also has its own fare of shortcomings.

a. Poor internet connectivity.

b. Only few courts in the country are using this system.

c. Constrained budget of the judiciary.

d. Illiteracy level among Kenyans is still high, they lack the capacity to defend themselves fully in a court case.
