This editor attended a Ron Paul rally at Schloztsky's last night.It's unclear why the Ron Paul campaign is still active since his numbers are in single digits. Mark Hocker,Patti Jones appointee,was there and was trying to keep his campaign for judge on track. I also saw David DeLamar,Roger Settler,Lance Cansino and around 20 others. There were no yardsigns available but they did have a few leaflets. A Texas Tech law school employee was the organizer. The rally was actually an exercise in futility since Ron Paul's campaign is winding down. This editor could not recruit any Ron Paul supporters for Green Party since those people are republicans.

Tonight is a Ron Paul meeting that LCR learned about last night. As a Ron Paul supporter I will attend this meeting in hopes of getting some Paul conservatives to run in November's election as a Green. The meeting is at Schlotzsky's on 19th St. near Covenant Hospital at 6PM. A Libertarian representative will also be there according to the LCR source. Both Libertarians and Greens can still register candidates and there is no ballot access fee for November's election.

Peyton Manning Could Be Fired Tomorrow

News reports are swirling that Peyton Manning will be fired by the Colts tomorrow. Manning has a $28 million roster bonus due and got one year of pay for not playing due to a neck injury. Colts are rumored to want Oliver Luck's son(Andrew) in the draft. Manning spent 12 years on the field taking punishment and may be a central figure in the "Saintgate" scandal involving bonuses for injured players. Troy Aikman fell victim to the same fate involving a big roster bonus and injury that got him fired by the Dallas Cowboys. Manning revived a team that lost it's appeal after Johnny Unitas was traded. One team,Jets,have expressed an interest but Manning must pass any team's physical. Brad Pitt,actor,predicted Manning would retire if he got fired. Pitt is married to an actress and not employed by anyone associated with the NFL. Manning was seen in a Dennis Hopper referee get-up in some commercials during his year off. One player exclaimed,"Peyton!" and Manning responded,"Man's gotta work!"

Taking A Day Off

Yesterday and today I started delivering candidate declaration forms to potential Green candidates. I'm working on Gilbert Montes,W.L.Matheny and the "Occupy students". Roger Settler and I are hopeful courageous people will fill out the one page form,get it notarized and step forward as a candidate. Today I also reflected on the death of Ronnie Montrose. I was as saddened yesterday as the day I heard Gary Moore died. I also was not happy when I read Etta James passed away. This editor has a substantial record album and CD collection. My favorite artists are dying from old age. I only dabble in politics,my true love is old music and B&W TV. These times are a changin' and really good musicians and actors are finishing their work. I keep hoping the "fountain of youth" will be discovered. Thomas Edison even tried to invent a frequency machine to point up into heaven so we could talk with our departed friends&relatives. I dream that technology will make the impossible likely. It's never good to quit dreaming,inventions are made of dreams.

Filing deadline gets new challengers in city and school board races

City of Lubbock voters will have several choices as only one incumbent,Floyd Price,avoided an opponent. Paul Beane will get two opponents and Randy Sanders will have an opponent. Dan Pope also gets a retired school teacher for an opponent. This editor will encourage all challengers to stay in these races as voters may just be ready to "throw the rascals out". Primary registration for November ballot ends on Friday. This editor is still delivering candidate declaration forms for Lubbock County Green Party. Tomorrow is also Super Tuesday and 10 primaries are being conducted in various states.

LCR Editor Tours Texas Tech University Center and Campus

This editor has not been in the UC in a dogyear(7 people years). It's unreal how much business is now being conducted there. I bought nothing cause Tech campus businesses are "clip joints" by nature. Tech students go there to get clipped. I even saw a University Police Department(Campus Gestapo) booth. I went upstairs to try and get a listing of all student organizations and they had none,listing that is. I tried their website and that was an internet mess. I sent OR to Tech counsel to get cumulative list of organizations and the contacts. The campus is now a concrete and asphalt modern typical college. That's being kind. I did attend a Young Progressives meeting Friday and myself and Roger Settler joined 4 Tech students. On the way to Holden Hall I saw empty buses and a "grackle" just fell out of a tree and appeared to go into convulsions and may have died. Tech campus is about 40 years in this editor's past.

Guitar Legend Ronnie Montrose Passes Away

Ronnie Montrose of Montrose,Edgar Winter Group and Gamma has died. He succumbed to prostate cancer and "personal demons". His trademark was "Town Without Pity" instrumental that topped even Gene Pitney's original version. This editor saw Ronnie Montrose at the Lubbock Coliseum in the early 70's before the "Town Without Pity" era and Mr.Montrose had Sammy Hagar on vocals. Mr.Montrose's first trademark was "Bad Motor Scooter" and his knowledge of electric guitar was mind numbing as he literally knew how to make his guitar strings talk and sing. He decided to not use a singer in his recording career,like Jeff Beck did,and his sales never took off. His creativity on guitar showed his complete mastery of the electric guitar. He was on one Edgar Winter Group album that contained Mr.Winter's trademark,Frankenstein. No electric guitar player ever tried Town Without Pity because his studio version was a masterpiece with an orchestra. Mr.Montrose's thought patterns on guitar were his very own and no recording artist has ever came close to his phenomenal touch on his guitar stings. This editor has complete Montrose,Ronnie Montrose and Gamma collection on CD. Montrose used several vocalists,Ronnie Montrose used no vocalists and Gamma used no vocalists. His catalog that this editor has is listed below.

Texas Tech has two FM stations and one TV station in operation. The call letters have changed to KTTZ-TV and FM. It's unclear who's paying for the billboard because half is LAMAR and the other half is Texas Tech. Programming on both is public television and public radio and neither gets that many patrons. KTXT-FM is still around as a satellite station with easy listening with very limited listener range.

This editor discovered Kent Hance talking on a cellphone at the Wells Fargo entrance at United Supermarket at 4th&Slide. Mr.Hance knows this editor from my early republican days. Mr.Hance asked an interesting question,"Why can't you go to city hall or downtown to address them? What happened to the first and second amendments to the constitution?" I responded that Tom Head and Tom Martin appeared to "shred those up". He looked at me with bewildered look and said,"They can't do that." I talked with chancellor about the Tuberville traffic tickets going "poof" and appeared to not know about those disappearing tickets. He asked,"Haven't you been active in the Republican Party for a long time?" I responded,"I voted in 16 republican primaries since we were in college. I did vote in two democrat primaries. I'm chairman of the Lubbock County Green Party now." We know each other from way back. I left United while Mr.Hance was checking out the Girl Scout Cookie table.

Randy Sanders is former AJ editor trying to replace Jim Gilbreath on Lubbock City Council. Sanders is unopposed as of Friday with Monday being the deadline. Sanders ' campaign has placed a giant paper billboard at 3rd St. and Frankford Avenue on McDougal Properties near the right-of-way. This sign just magically appeared this week and it's where many motorists drive and political yardsigns are allowed. No candidates have filed to run against Sanders so it's unclear why he's spending money on any signs at all.

SISD To Consider Massive Debt Increase

LCR has learned that Monday the Shallowater ISD board will consider one of three proposals made by contractors and financiers to put another massive bond issue on the May ballot. Here's the details.

Three different proposals were presented this week to increase the debt load if a bond issue is approved. One proposal would be a $11 million bond that would result in a 10 cent taxrate increase. Another proposal would be $16 MILLION bond with over 15 cent increase in taxrate. The third proposal would be $23 MILLION with over 22 cent increase in taxrate. SISD is currently carrying 24 cents of debt service on it's taxrate and the state has capped debt service at 50 cents on the taxrate. All debt will be for 25 years. The board must send recommendation to elections office by March 5,Monday. This editor financed campaign to defeat a $19 MILLION bond issue at SISD two years ago. This editor has more than enough yardsigns left over to discourage passage of any bond issue at any school district,especially Shallowater.

Tornado Alley Re-Defined

The Texas panhandle used to be called the "Bible Belt" and "Tornado Alley". Bible thumpers call Lubbock and West Texas home. Tornado Alley has been re-located to the northeast. That has happened as the warmer weather in Texas has forced the weather phenomenon that causes "tornado alley" to move north and east. Alabama,Louisiana,Indiana,Florida,etc. have had fall and spring tornadoes so often in the last few years that small towns after literally been flattened. This week Marysville,Indiana virtually became a pile of rubble and that's painful for those victims. In 1970 Lubbock had several tornadoes and homes disappeared and lives were lost. Mother Nature is not controllable or predictable. The next time you pray,ask for fewer tornadoes and more rain. Remember it rains on the just and unjust,there is no rhyme or reason to that theory,it's called reality.

Jerry Rogers,republican in Shallowater,continues is one man brigade trying to discredit Barack Obama's birth certificate. Mr.Rogers is trying to prove he is on the right track. This same Mr.Rogers is afraid to attend local public meetings,secure public record or even put his name on a website like this reporter does here at LCR and Texas Panhandle News blog. It's really easy to attack or take up a cause that requires lip service but nothing more. Mr.Rogers is a typical loudmouth invalid with little or no credibility. I seriously doubt if Mr.Rogers can find his own birth certificate or even find the house or hospital he was born in. Republicans should abandon the so-called "birth certificate issue" and discover meat&potatoes political issues like the new ex-democrat RINO "big government" that the (R) elected officials have created that puts more people into poverty every year. Jerry Rogers is a creature that will spread his malarkey on emails and talk radio. This editor doesn't read or listen to that type of garbage and LCR will never publish that type of "madness".

Lawyers are as low as it comes in the professional world. They are taught to lie effectively in law school. Yesterday I was duped by a liar Mexican woman lawyer into doing a mindless interview. She kept asking racist,bigoted questions about my blog entries that degraded Mexicans and women and lied about being interested in my cases. She is both a woman and "meskin",two-time loser from where I sit. I wasted a whole hour before she finally admitted she was not capable of handling my simple criminal trespass orders or simply didn't want to. This editor was shook down by a scumbag "meskin" lawyer during the Burnett Family Trust scandal a few years ago. I avoid all lawyers,especially "meskins" and "broads",period. Lawyers do more harm than good."White Boy" lawyers are just as vile as minority lawyers. It doesn't matter what sex or color a lawyer is,they are all a bunch of jerks. Lawyers worship money. Some will even admit it. Many lawyers are unethical,immoral and incompatent. Most unethical lawyers get wealthy. I discourage all readers from associating with any Lubbock lawyer,they are all not to be trusted. Restaurants should put out signs,"If your a damn lawyer,we don't need your business!". Neighbors of lawyers should put out signs."A damn lawyer lives next door!" with an arrow pointing to the creep's house. Lubbock is crawling with scumbag lawyers. Lubbock even has a "scumbag law school" at Texas Tech. I really hate lawyers. Never hire a lawyer unless you just have to. Never be friends with a damn lawyer.Treat lawyers like sex offenders.

Election Chaos Continues

The Texas primary election could take place on May 29. Courts have virtually demolished both Green and Libertarian parties by not re-opening filing deadlines for parties not holding primaries. The current chaos will mean most incumbents will not get much opposition from any party. Those same incumbents will get some token opposition in the November election. The 2012 Texas election results should have a asterisk next to it with term "screwed up by idiots". Most offices on Lubbock's November ballot will have no democrats or greens and very few libertarians. The November turnout in Lubbock will be about 30% if that much. This editor will vote for either green or libertarian candidates in November. I can not ever vote for another democrat or republican.

Funerals And LCR's Editor

I read the obits every day. I saw Gary King's obit,tried to go sign his book and Resthaven was a clueless as ever. Today I saw a co-worker's name,C.E.Austin,who I loved shooting the breeze with at the med school. I won't sign his book because it's getting harder to go to funeral homes. Quite a few of this editor's old friends are dying these days. I don't make new friends. My friend list grows shorter with each obit. It's damn near depressing but there's nothing I can do about. I seldom read a family member or enemy's obit but I could miss those. I've made it clear to my lousy family I will never attend another family member's funeral. Now and then I read an old high school classmate's obit. So many have died a class reunion is too painful to attend. Sometimes I will see an old co-worker's obit and I actually worked with some good people. Once in a while I go to Resthaven just to walk by my dead relatives' graves. The relatives I really cared for have died and I get stuck with the lame ones hiding somewhere in a cheap house or assisted living joint. I hate funerals because the one you want to say good things about is dead. Many people just attend funerals hoping they are in the dead person's will. Every breathing relative showed up at my father's funeral and none of them got a damn penny. I personally will be cremated and leave what I've got to someone I may not even know. I wouldn't leave anything to my family members,that's how much I despise all of them. Next time you're at funeral look around and see who is there hoping to be in a will. I believe that's why most people go to a damn funeral.

This editor has a theory about cops,lawyers and elected officials. I believe they are idiots,morons and "human garbage" that contaminate our breathing air and the businesses regular people use. My father called police officers "government thugs with guns". The joke about lawyers being "10,000 being at the bottom of the ocean" being a good start is excellent. I would prefer crucifixion,the Romans had the right idea. Elected officials like Tom Head,Tom Martin and Charles Perry bring new meaning to "putrid". It's either morally corrupt or bad smell. Either one can be applied to most if not all politicians. I avoid cops,lawyers and elected officials because I consider all of them "evil" by nature. James Clark would call that a "teensie weensie bit extreme". Mr.Clark is a known cronie of cops and elected officials and uses them for news stories. I've been told by family members,rare friends,enemies,etc. I smear people and I'm abrasive. I'm not in the business of being a nice guy. I'm not close to a "Good Christian" and I never will be. If the "big boy" upstairs really despises LCR and it's editor I would be struck by lightning by now. Being the conscious of the scumbag "Good Christians" is a tough as it gets. I wouldn't have to expose corruption by cops,lawyers,elected officials,etc. if the "lousy management" upstairs punished the corrupt with a little vengeance. I volunteered to expose these "damn good Christians" and I'm not ashamed to torment the people the management in heaven gives a free pass to. It's a lousy job but no one else stepped forward.

LISD Inmates Could Get Uniform Dress Code

Jackson is known lame brain with a big mouth that sold a "Consider This" endorsement of Vote For LISD Bond Issue PAC. Inmates do wear yellow or blue uniforms. LISD wants to lockdown schools and turn local students into inmates and now that want drab,dimwit uniforms for those inmates. I suggest that both Dan Jackson and Karen Garza wear these uniforms at work to show there support for this goofy idea.

This reporter will discontinue interviewing lawyers. The legal community in Lubbock are actually "alleged". A reader of LCR,Debbie M.asked,"Are there any Lubbock lawyers worth s$%t?" I told her,"Not that I'm aware of." I,as editor,am now free to dare the corrupt governments of Lubbock to issue new "illegal criminal trespass" orders to replace the old ones. I haven't had any "pukes" with badges serve new ones yet. I don't answer my front door unless the car looks familar. I keep LCR's gate closed to discourage any visitors except neighbors and my rare friends. I interviewed another lady lawyer today and she kindly declined tha case. Why she invited me to her office is a mystery but that is not a problem. This editor will not attend public meetings just to get arrested. I also will do very little public record because the corrupt governments simply delay,alter or deny public record on a regular basis.

It's unclear if Lubbock authorities will be able to make this lawsuit go "poof" like three traffic citations issued to members of Coach Tuberville's family members. It might be a little more complicated than "fixing traffic tickets".

Local Republicans Calling For "Pray-In" on Sunday

Tom "Dumb" Head and "Blinky" Tom Martin are now in "full pray mode" as they try to get camera exposure. The two "jerks" called Tom want to declare this coming Sunday a day of "prayer&fasting" to try and break the Texas drought. This editor cast my second "Drought Hex" on Lubbock and the powers that be appear to agree with me that Lubbock is full of unrepentant sinners and a drought is the most effective punishment since crucifixion and human sacrificing were abolished some years ago. "Dumb" and "Blinky" are known hypocrite,fascist leaning republicans that do not believe in open meetings or open records. "Blinky" is a known alcohol&tobacco user and "Dumb" is the highest ranking "lapdog" for Patti Jones. Only the powers that be can create rain and they have many more important prayers to hear than the ones "Dumb"&"Blinky" want to organize. I will not starve(fast) myself just to please "Dumb"&"Blinky". My question is Could "Blinky" go without "smokin'&drinkin"? all day this coming Sunday.
