Dan Jackson And Reality Check

Dan Jackson has Consider This on Ch.11. I will not dirty up this blog with his "offensive face". Mr.Jackson is now urging citizens to "volunteer" for anything. Mr.Jackson has no clue about how complicated it is to volunteer to do anything. This editor has been banned from public meetings and public record. It's now unsafe for me to even fill up potholes with black rock from the side of my county road because the government owns said road. Citizens can not volunteer to even pick up litter in the right of way without substantial paperwork. Government disapproves of that. Most charities want "money" but seldom use volunteers for anything. Mr.Jackson is in need of a "reality check". I for one donate very little these days in money and only volunteer to keep my 2 acres in good condition. From time to time I will help other neighbors but "volunteering" these days is more trouble than it's worth. I seriously doubt if Dan Jackson and his "college educated morons" at Ch.11 will ever be seen mowing an old lady's lawn or helping an invalid old man shop for groceries while the old man is in an electric shopping cart at a local grocery store. All most will ever see is "Dan Jackson's lips moving".

After Christmas Shopping Madness

Today will be DAY ONE of after Christmas shopping that will have phony sales,exchanges and general "nuttiness" at most stores. I will buy groceries,if needed and stay home like a "normal old man". Drivers should remember that ice patches are still on some roads and wear warm clothing and driver slower.

"Graphic Fiction" and Paranoid Lubbock Citizens

Early in 2011 this editor dabbled in "graphic fiction" with four entries. Two had unnamed shooters(Charles Oswald and Lee Harvey Manson were ID'd later) wreaking havoc at the county courthouse and city council. They were "fictional reports" of how LCR would report a cellphone caller reporting similar events to the "Giffords' shooting" in Arizona. The damn blog entries went national and the "paranoid gestapo" showed up at LCR headquarters banning this editor from 5 government owned properties "for life". Later I did two entries about a meteor landing in Lubbock Democrat headquarters and a van full of Lubbock republican blockwalkers being hit head-on and several blockwalkers were injured or killed. There was no reaction to the meteor or van accident. I discontinued "graphic fiction" for 18 months after the hysteria had subsided. I decided to dabble in "graphic fiction" again and "all hell broke loose". I was dragged downtown and fell victim to "county judicial abuse" and perjured testimony and slapped with a unwarranted "protection order" for two years over three people getting "hammered to death" by an unknown killer(Blif Curnett was later named as a suspect but not charged). I then continued with "graphic fiction" and was arrested "illegally" by LPD at a city council meeting by two of Glen Robertson's LPD "thugs". One democrat "blew a gasket" over the fiction that had two people macheted to death on his street. A local TV station(2 actually) got paranoid when a "graphic fiction" entry had a sprinkler system sabotaged with toxic chemicals and 8 reporters and 2 weather forecasters were overcome by the sabotaged sprinkler system. I assured the TV reporter it was "fiction" and I was just a writer and to my knowledge I wasn't a threat to anyone. Later I had a prominent republican crucified and his wife burned at the stake in a "graphic fiction" entry. I didn't hear from the republicans. Lubbock government and pansy democrats have a bad case of "fraidy cat syndrome". Is it any wonder "graphic fiction" was discontinued at LCR??

Just Another Blustery Day At LCR

Today I woke to cold outdoors with powdery snow on roads. I went to the local truck-stop,got a burrito and came home. I'm getting lucky as my phone doesn't ring and I get no visitors. Tomorrow will be warmer and I'll get back to moving around as New Year's approaches. I also expect a public domain shipment of Topper,I Married Joan and The Life of Riley TV programs. My neighbor was seen hauling two mirrors out of his home where he hasn't paid property taxes in 14 years. It's thought he now lives on an LCAD trust property. I read today that the ex-con who ambushed the fire department in New York "hammered" his elderly mother to death in 1982 and did 18 years in prison. He was paroled in the late 90's and now his sister is unaccounted for. He used a Bushmaster just like the Connecticut shooter did. The "fiscal cliff" is still haunting politicians and local residents seem unfazed by the "government mess". One source has milk prices doubling if the "fiscal cliff" occurs. I don't drink milk so that would not be a factor in my budget. LCR has discovered a piece of property on Broadway valued at $144,000 that has an $83,000 PAST DUE taxbill. That property owner has paid only $100 in property taxes since 1986. I will not name the owner or identify the address since the occupants/owners are friends of Mayor Glen Robertson who had this editor arrested at a recent city council meeting. All current LCAD bills are due by January 31,2013. After that date P&I will be levied at the first of each month.

The seasonal availability of McD's McRib is a marketing ploy. The identical "pressed pork" cut of meat is available year round. It may also be available in bulk as well. The Banquet TV dinner pictured is available for a buck to a buck and a quarter year round at Wal-Mart,United,Lowe's.etc. The potatoes and corn are child's portions but the pork patty will fit on a bun or two pieces of bread. The McRib may cost as much as two TV dinners. This Banquet dinner has been around for quite a while. Cook a few dinners,add BBQ sauce and warm up some small hoagy buns. Eat at Home!!

Clovis Road was hit with a powdery "White Christmas" early Tuesday morning. The roads are now starting to poke through the ice patches. The temp appears to be headed toward a 24 hour freezing period until tomorrow sometime. Readers are advised to sit tight and not endanger their cars or well being of themselves. In other news Charles Durning died in New York. He was a great character actor,One Fine Day with George Clooney is a classic.

Indian Summer And Imaginary Snow

Two days ago local weather forecasters had up to one inch of a thing called snow in Lubbock. Today the same forecasters corrected their "prediction" with only cold air and possible snow north of Lubbock. Lubbock hasn't had a "brown dirt Christmas" in "many moons". I for one will now predict a third year of the "Texas drought" with more brown dirt wind. The fireworks business this New Year's appears to be almost non-existent. In other news TxDot is now mounting signs on Clovis Road restricting use of the left lane to "passing only". It means that this editor must use the right lane only and change lanes closer to my left turn exits for CR 6100,the truck-stop and Dollar General. Texas Tech has suspended three football players for the upcoming bowl game. A Tahoka man got into a shoot-out with police and was killed. This editor added a 15th plastic barrel to my holiday gift from my neighbor. Today I decided that my best course of action on my pending "criminal trespass warning" arrest would be to have a jury trial. I have no intention of pleading to a lesser charge.

Watching "Fear" Take Effect

FDR had a saying,"We have nothing to fear but fear itself!". He had a good point. Obama has put "gun grabber fear" into everyone's head that loves their guns. I put "fear" into a few fraidy cats with "graphic fiction" that I adapted from movies,radio and TV re-runs. Fear is a state of mind. Some fear an IRS audit. Others fear taking exams. Many fear a drug test. Recently I attended an Imagine Lubbock seminar and only one person sat within 6 feet of me. It was Mikel Ward. She has no fear of me and she shouldn't. I fear bad drivers. I've been T-boned and spent 6 months recovering. Fear is in everyone. Anyone wearing a "Have No Fear" T-shirt is a damn liar!

Social Security Update

In a few days Social Security will increase the patient deductible,Medicare premium and add a small COLA to everyone's benefit check. Many businesses will then increase prices to get more money from their customers. It's a vicious cycle called inflation. These adjustments will be on January 1 or on the date a person gets their check in January.

The Dallas Cowboys lost in overtime to the Saints yesterday. They could still make the playoffs if they beat the Redskins next week. A republican senator from Idaho was arrested for DUI. He's only accused. Lubbock had another sandstorm yesterday. The people in Connecticut are still burying victims of the horrible mass murder at a local school. All schools may get armed cops or teachers before this tragedy is over. LCR discontinued "graphic fiction" after the Connecticut tragedy. Lubbock residents are still being careless with space heaters and children playing with matches or lighters. Texas Tech is still building a coaching staff for Coach Kingsbury.

Changing Gears At LCR

This holiday season is a somber occasion for this editor. I lost a beloved aunt to old age. A friend that couldn't get SSI has become so distant and unorganized I had to dissolve our "friendship". I found out yesterday that another friend's truckstop is being targeted by shoplifters to the point where he has added multiple cameras for surveillance. It's reached the point where I keep my gate closed to keep people and animals out to maintain myself and my dog's privacy. I now eat at home more,shop with a list and have totally changed my shopping routine hoping I don't see anybody that knows Clif Burnett. I will not shake hands or even talk to anyone I know in public. I now even hope none of my phones ring because I don't need any bad news and I don't get good news. Being a recluse has it's advantages. It also comes with boredom. I break up the boredom with old TV re-runs. I will be so glad when Christmas is over. Many of the stores I shop are overloaded with holiday merchandise.

The Ugly Truth About Lubbock Citizens

This editor was forced out of both "graphic fiction" and public record publishing. This happened this year after city,county and family members became "mindless morons". This editor was also banned from public meetings illegally by government officials. The "spineless bastards" that conspired to force LCR's "graphic fiction" out of print are against "creative writing" and freedom of expression. The SOB's that banned this editor from public meetings are the lowest form of life. They are both republicans and democrats. The government pukes that are now refusing to release public record are "friggin' communists". This editor will look to 2013 with one thing on my mind,to hell with most everybody. No one was harmed by "graphic fiction",I'm not a threat to anyone. The government was undermined by the steady flow of public record revealing the "offensive waste" of taxpayer resources. Readers should understand that Clif Burnett used to be a nice guy but those days have past. I hope to retire from blogging sooner rather than later. It will be a "cold day in hell" when someone sees this editor shaking hands with someone. Most of my elderly relatives are dead. I wouldn't even speak to my younger relatives because I just don't like them. As for politics I will "wave bye-bye" to everything but voting in 2013. My friends are few,mostly my neighbors. I'm not in the business of making friends because friends are never there when you need them. I enjoyed doing "graphic fiction" and public record. To all those "goofballs" that conspired to force LCR to discontinue both,just "eat shit & die".

Bah Humbug,Plastic Barrels

This property owner gets unwelcome litter. The "El Nino" westerly wind brought 14 plastic barrels discarded by my "horse&donkey" neighbor. The darn things are empty and blew across the animal's grazing pasture and lodged in my short fence. I now have a collection of plastic barrels in the "cow barn". It's unknown what was in the barrels so I sit them upright to prevent any residue from getting on the ground. I think it could be water treatment but that is speculation. I haven't talked to this neighbor but once in 10 years since we live so far apart.

Mr.Frullo's office refused to discuss the matter on grounds this editor was not a Frullo district registered voter. I am a Charles Perry district registered voter but Mr.Perry doesn't even answer phonecalls or snailmail on most matters. This editor believes Mr.Frullo is unethical as well as unprofessional as a state representative goes.

R.V. Skeet Brannan, 92, of Lubbock passed away on December 15, 2012 in Lubbock, Texas. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in the W.W. Rix Chapel, 1901 Broadway. Interment will follow at the Green Memorial Park in Wilson, Texas under the personal care of Rix Funeral Directors.

A friend of "DAD's" passed away this last Saturday. He lived three years longer than "DAD" and was actually a nice guy. He's the second to pass away recently that I knew. "DAD's" sister Cris passed on very recently.

Nutcases At City Council Want Treated Sewer Water For Home Use

Another $50,000 of Lubbock taxpayer money will be sent by Lubbock City Council to some research firm to study treating sewer water for tap use. Lubbock is thought to have several sources long into the future for water supply. Several Texas cities are now treating sewer water for tap use as "nutcase college grads" convince regular people treating sewer water is safe. I personally would avoid treated sewer water like "drinking piss".
