Kastam Problem

Assalamualaikum

After 30 days waiting at last finally I received my goods. It s been a terrible weekend after I received many complain from an angry customer. I did not blame them to complain but that is their right to complain because they wait about a month and still they didn't receive their ordered goods. For me, I had to take the fire from them. Arghh ~ what a month and I am sorry and understand if all of my customers cancelled the ordered and I thank you who patiently wait for the goods.

I frustrated actually with the authority especially the custom or KASTAM. I asked my colleague about this issue, many of them respond angrily, the most madly angry person is my Chinese friends. They tell me that they had to give extra money or called 'forwarding' to the kastam officers and then their goods will go easily. For example, my friend import cat food from Thailand, usually they buy bulk in a contena, the transaction is so frustrating, there were delayed, all kastam officers asked for papers, asked for explanation about the goods. Yes they asked all the ingredient in the cat food and other thing that slow the transaction. We business person did not like goods to be late, all that we want is to get the goods, sell them and get the money. My friend had to pay or forwarding RM800 to the kastam for the goods to be released.

They also respond it is normal this day, you have to give or what we called bribe in order to get the transaction done. I said to them why don't you just report to the MACC to investigate thus take action. They said, it is a waste of time because to inquire take month, investigate take month, take action also take a long time. They also tell me that if MACC want to take action, don't take action on individual only, all people in kastam is corrupt. For me I felt disappointed. Yes it is hard to prove that there were a curroption there. ~sigh~

There is not enough concrete mechanism to control on this matter. So what to do???

The budget feedback from me and my colleague

Hello,

We all heard the budget 2012 or the people budgets announce last week by our prime minister Najib.

For the whole week, me and my friends talk about the budget, yes I received both positive and negative feedback.

The positive feedback from the government servant. Its been a long time since the government didn't announce bonus or increment for the public servant. Yes this year we got 4 incentive give by the government. Firstly the increment range RM80 to RM320. Then our old salary system cancelled and designed to a new one that ensure the salary will increase until pension. Then this December, the government servant receive a new salary plus a half month bonus.

Well some government servant now jealous with the teachers, doctors because they given a priority in order to attract more employment. Yes Malaysia has insufficient on those vacancies.

Then my private colleague jealous because we received bonus. Come on, your salary are much higher then us so you can get more months bonus then us. It is up to your employer and you should be thankful that you have a job. I'm just saying lol.

Then they were other incentive such as in investment incentive that will allowed both private and public enjoyed. I am not sure the incentive given.

For property, government allowed the increase the loan from RM220,000 to RM400,000. Please refer the link about Rumah Pertamaku. Well both private and public servant thinks that it is better for the government allowed discount for owning a property. It is hard to find a solid and fine house, all KL house is above the number, in Cyberjaya most of them up to a million. If there were a house price between that range, it is not worth it. Yes we are all agree that we should not be choosy , but in this time of economy all we want is to low the cost of living.Get a plenty saving and prepare for the worst in the future.

Hi,

Finally the house of representative begins. For the first question asked is about the prediction of the new budget and the economy answered by our Prime Minister. Then after two question asked the government and the opposition representative have a little rough talk or debate with each other. The 2012 budget will be held in the new house in 7th October. Yes it is exciting to watch the representative talks, argue, share opinion on what will happen next year.

For today the session held in the new building due to the maintenance of the old house. Yes the new house and. of course it is new but it still has a problem. Firstly the space for the staff, for the YB I think the has a lot of space. Then the recording system suck and give me and my colleague a slow start this morning, then argument between both parties is really annoying and for probably can't here a thing. After that the mic is not loud enough, I can't here a thing what the YB said. Hope the technician can bring improvement tomorrow

Bonus for civil servant

Last week the Prime Minister announced that it will be a bonus for the public servants. Yes everyone happy to hear it and I myself happy to hear it. But there was some issue regarding to the bonus where many of the servants wondering why there was a small portion deducted by KWSP. I heard it from my friend said that the total cash RM700 been deducted to RM650.
By the way happy holiday, happy shopping, may all of you have the best Aidiladha with family, relatives and friends.

It is the 5th day puasa. honestly, i felt lonely this week. Everybody with their family enjoying the best of Ramadhan together but for me I felt lonely. My friend told me maybe this is the best time for me to get close with Allah. Yes I agree with the view but for personal feelings its felt lonely. Everybody enjoy their open puasa together and even sahur they have their family wake and ate together. I'm not complaining, I just wanted to share.

PTD exams -episode II

PTD exams, it is been different this year. Well there is no personality test. So the timeline reduced to two hours. The personality test will be taken into the second examination. It is different this year because the I can manage my time in finishing the math test but for general knowledge, I can't finish on time. Maybe due to the question twist and there was a 60 question. Maybe I not perform in that.

Generally, the general knowledge question is fine to me. If you a newbie, the questions are related to

Policy like new Economic policy, Privatization policy etc
The Commonwealth, Olympic, SEA games etc.
1 Malaysia, NKRA, ETP, GTP etc.

Then the math is a SPM math. The understanding text BM and BI, is easy if you read carefully. Then the Essie is more to a general knowledge like nuclear, communication technology, recycling etc.

I hope I pass this exam and move on to the next one which worries me because I'm afraid on my BMI. Tough right. Wish all the best to all that take the exam.

My Wedding

Assalamualaikum, hi..

Its been a long time for me blogging. I've been busy arranging my wedding, a pin point starting a family. I like to share with you about myself, my family, my wife (only pictures) and the wedding.
The wedding is held in two places, first in Binjai Kelantan and secondly in Kluang Johor. My wife is Sabahan and work as a teacher. She and her family lives there.
Yes, now we separated by a long distance places, expansive transportation and limited coverage network but it is okay. I am waiting for her to confirmed her job and be able to request for transfer.
It is hard with all the misses, miss, misses but as long we have trust, I hope and pray to god we'll be fine.

Alright straight to the point, I heard rumors that SPA or JPA freeze the intake of new employee. My friend also tell me that the he past the interview and he's now waiting for SPA to call him. The reason why SPA did this because there's a research done to study back the government intakes.

So, please don't worry it is only rumors but if it is true SPA will continue to recruit after the month of July.

~sigh~ It is hard to get a good solid jobs this days. By the way glad with the info sharing.

Last week, I've been invited to attend an interview session at MARDI.
Okay straight to the point, I like to share to you all the question asked in the session;

Please introduce yourself? - This question is merely like tell me about yourself question, take time and give the interviewee time to check the certs and your resume.
Please tell me about OB, organizational behavior? - This is the subject I learn in my degree, so I tell them what I learn.I give example about first impression, level of motivation.
Situation, how to keep talented researcher in the organization? - My answer is to applied the level of motivation theory and give example.
Situation, If you given a choice, would you recruit not very clever but dedicated and integrity employee or a clever but not dedicated and integrity employee? - This question, I give my opinion and example and my experience due to the situation.
Situation, opinion; which come first to change someone, attitude or behavior? This is a very tricky situation, my answer is to change the behavior then we can change the attitude, example punch card system introduce by Dr. Mahathir.
Lastly, 1Malaysia policy, explain? This is a 2 years policy and I am frustrated that I can't answer it complete. My answer is just basic.

That is all, my time in that room is 20 minutes, all in English. It is a very tough one. Wish me luck.

"We have already said that we give our people the advantages of the 300 items of import tax has been abolished. That is why our people are enjoying these goods at lower prices.
