QuickTest Automation Object Model

Essentially all configuration and run functionality provided via the QuickTest interface is in some way represented in the QuickTest automation object model via objects, methods, and properties. Although a one-on-one comparison cannot always be made, most dialog boxes in QuickTest have a corresponding automation object, most options in dialog boxes can be set and/or retrieved using the corresponding object property, and most menu commands and other operations have corresponding automation methods.
You can use the objects, methods, and properties exposed by the QuickTest automation object model, along with standard programming elements such as loops and conditional statements to design your program.
Automation programs are especially useful for performing the same tasks multiple times or on multiple tests or components, or quickly configuring QuickTest according to your needs for a particular environment or application.
For example, you can create and run an automation program from Microsoft Visual Basic that loads the required add-ins for a test or component, starts QuickTest in visible mode, opens the test or component, configures settings that correspond to those in the Options, Test or Business Component Settings, and Record and Run Settings dialog boxes, runs the test or component, and saves the test or component

When I appeared for the HP certification QTP exam, I was waiting for my certificate but then I came to know from my institute that you have to clear HP certification exam for QC as well and then you will get the certificate from HP.
However, you will be getting an equivalent Prometric testing centre certificate once you clear the exam and immediately after receiving the score.

I am working for a company where I informed my manager that I need to learn some licensed tool for my own growth.He asked me explore the options..Immediately I emailed some groups in QA on to inquiring about some tool.After which I tried and contacted my trng dept at my office and they told me that they are comfortable in hiring for an external trainer and having a full fledged trang in office.... I was extremely happy for this step.....
I spoke to my manager about the conversation between me and trng dept.. and my manager asked me to take the case fwd...now suddenly i come to know my company(trng dept) arranged and internal trainer with lesser knowledge and for FOC off course for this training ...in this way to save the cost of hiring external trainer..they asked some internal trainer to take this training...

And then at the end the company expects us to be proficient in everything....

HP -QTP Certification Exam Details

HP -QTP Certification Exam
The exam registration fees Rs.2600/- and you can register for the same by contacting the Prometric centres in your city.
Also, now HP has slightly changed the format of the exam as to one should be also certified in QC exam along with QTP then the person is issued with the certificate. So You have to prepare for QC as well.
But if you only appear for QTP certification examination then prometric provides with the QTP exam score card which is equivalent to the certificate and can be held valid as as Certified QTP tester.
