SA Sea Rescue Squadron - Seamanship course 2010

Final dates have now been set for the seamanship course run through the SA Sea Rescue Squadron. They are Friday 9th July to Sunday 11th July, and Friday 16th July to Saturday 17th July. This is an intensive course and takes much less time than the usual course that they run. Participants need to make sure they can attend all the sessions. Reefwatch - Clean Up Australia Day Update

Update #2:On Sunday 7th March, 4 divers from a range of clubs joined Steve from Reef Watch at Brighton Jetty to help remove feral fan worms from the cement pilons, and pick up a bit of other rubbish while we were there. With a lovely and calm surface, we swam to the end with our catch bags and got to work. In total we cleaned up about 15 of the pilons, removing about 10 fan worms per pilon.

AUSC - Mostyn Walker Memorial

Thanks to everyone who donated money to go towards a collective funds for the Mostyn Walker Donation, and also related memorial suggestions. Over $500 was donated by members, with ~$100 spent on tropical flowers for his service. The remaining funds are to be donated to the Conservation Council for their scholarship to help fund a student’s scuba diving costs for underwater research.The

As most members would know, last year the AUSC turned over all hire tanks with brand spanking new ones. The club still has six of the old tanks, which are now up for sale. The tanks are all 95cft and in test. The prices range depending on the age of the tank.
