VPI Pet Insurance Sucks

We have a lot to say about this group of thieves, we are gathering our files, getting in touch with the Attorney General and the SEC. It seems every claim you send in they come up with excuses not to reimburse. But, the sick thing is they lie to you right on the deny letter.
1 example we got today was, claim could not be read, prices were unclear, code unclear.
And yet the deny says, Code z80 and price of $268.00 could not be reimbursed.
Are you kidding me or what.
Tomorrow morning the paper work will be in our lawyers office, the company known as VPI will be investigated and we will keep you all posted on this mess.
So a word to the wise, stay away from them stay very far away.

We have been waiting 3 months for anything to even look like a check. They keep making excuses, while my 3 dogs have to have follow ups and treatment that keeps coming out of our pocket.
Our 1st claim, we were told, was being investigated because it happened near the beginning of our policy. My dog has blood in her urine on cue? First time it ever happened, but we are being investigated. Another joke is they claimed not to be able to read the price and the code the vet sent in and yet on the denial form they state The price and the code being denied. between premiums
and vet costs we're out close to $3000.00 It seems they are a scam company, and will be dealt with as such. I am a pitbull and will not let go till they settle or are convicted of fraud.
From the Attorney General's office to the SEC, from the newsrooms and onto every pet blog their story will be exposed.
It's not so much the money at this point, they are playing with the health of my puppies, and NO ONE plays with the health of my puppies.

Our daughter brought us another puppy for Christmas 2007, although Thanks giving hasn't even got here yet.
I just wanted to get his picture posted, and I will come back and do a weekly update on his progress with the new family, new puppies and in January our new home.

Jax has just turn 1 year old, he is my daughters puppy, and she had moved back in with us. She works long hours and was out in Long Island. So now Jax is here with us, and has plenty of attention. He's been getting walked plenty, has Zoey and Mae Mae to play with, and seems to be very healthy.
His one problem is his excessive peeing.
We have an appointment on the 20th, for a check up and a pre-fix checkup as well. So we'll discuss this with the vet then. But, I did some research and found the information below. So, I figure it's good to share this.

Dogs gather essential social information using their sense of smell, whether smelling other dogs directly or sniffing their urine and feces. That's why dogs urinate much more than required to simply empty their bladder.

Marking serves as a way to claim territory, advertise mating availability and to support the social order. Dogs like hierarchy; it's what they understand. They communicate age, gender and status within their packs via the pheromones in urine. Both male and female animals can engage in marking behavior.

A dog uses urine marking to help make a new environment smell like home, masking the unfamiliar odors with his own scent. Humans also engage in marking behavior, though it usually takes such forms as moving in a favorite chair and hanging pictures on the wall.

In addition, marking functions as an efficient way to protect a dog's perceived space than physically challenging each interloper who approaches that space.

Rocco and Mae Mae

We adopted Rocco ( the boxer ) 12 1/2 years ago from a young couple that had abused him. For 11 years he was my "BOY", he was loyal, yet he did have an nasty streak in him when he wanted to be nasty. On May 18, 2006 Rocco passed on, he was sick with cancer and had a year or so of being up and down with his health.

As a pet (dog) lover, I decided to open a blog for people to share their experiences about their pets. We have 3 puppies here.
Mae Mae belonged to George we passed on September 11th 2001. He worked in the World trade Center, for Carr Futures.
His cousin for some reason passed Mae on to someone other than us, and it took us 2 weeks to track her down. We found her in Brooklyn tied to a kitchen table and a bowel full of peanuts for her food.
