• Don't think about food! We know this is impossible, but studies have shown if you think about the act of eating you will actually eat more. Keep your mind on holiday cheer and not on holiday treats.

• Eat throughout the day! This may seem ridiculous, but it's widely accepted that eating more smaller meals is better for your metabolism than a few large ones.

• Watch what you drink! It's easy to rack up a few 1,000 calories while you indulge in seasonal decadent drinks. One serving of the average eggnog will set you back roughly 350 calories and nearly 20 grams of fat.

Is this company one big con artist? Rauscher Bekke, the company behind Dermapril, Dazzle White and Res-V-Life, is not looking out for consumers. The company publishes false claims about brands including: HydroPeptide, Olay Regenerist, ReVive, Thermage, HTY Gold, Resurgence, Lift-SP , Hydrolyze and Evolence. It is ridiculous. It will be interesting to see if they are contacted by the FDA under the new guidelines. We don't need to say anything else because the public is already fighting back:

"I was scammed"
"This company is a fraud"
"They took money out of my account"
"The better business bureau will hear about this"
"There is no such website as www.dermapril.com. I repeatedly get an error message that there is no website at this address. And, this is the address to which we are directed if we wish to cancel after our risk-free trial. So, I have to ask - Is this intentional. Makes it pretty hard to cancel."

The Food and Drug Administration has warned Allergan Inc., the maker of Latisse®, that the web site for its eyelash thickener is misleading because it avoids or downplays risks associated with the product.

HydroPeptide® Lash Longer Fuller Lusher is quickly becoming America’s favorite new lash product due to its drug-free formulation and impressive results. On Sept. 10, the FDA sent a letter to Allergan Inc. informing the company that they have misbranded Latisse® and are in violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. The violation is that “the Latisse® site either doesn't mention potential side effects including bacterial eye infection, allergic reactions, excess hair growth outside the intended treatment area, and permanent changes in iris and eyelid pigmentation, or presents them in small text that is much less prominent than statements about the product's effectiveness.”

It is nearly a year ago since I first came across Azure Cosmeceuticals Hydropeptide Serum. I was excited to see a sophisticated concoction of peptides and epidermal growth factors and I was about to whip out my credit card when I looked further down the ingredients list and my purchase was put off by peptides, triethanolamine, silicones and phenoxyethanol. Then a few weeks ago, Azure sent me the Hydropeptide Serum ($130) and it seems to have been reformulated to appeal to my flexible friend (although there is still one silicone and the phenoxyethanol is a bit high up the list for my liking). The ones I’ve found in the past always seem to be good at moisturizing, but they don’t do much else. So, when my friend recommended HydroPeptide Anti-Wrinkle Dark Circle Concentrate, I thought it would be another cream with big promises but no results. Lucky for me, I was wrong.

We could see the beginnings of something happening within the first week of use, and after a couple of weeks, we definitely saw the difference. While lashes didn’t erupt into a lush imitation of a mascara commercial, growth did occur. What we didn’t think about was that new lashes would grow in and be shorter than full-grown lashes, which isn’t a terribly noticeable thing, but is funny when examining them in a mirror. It also thickened the lash line. Lashes not only grew in next to other lashes, but also slightly behind them.
