I mailed our applications for a Family Class - Spousal Sponsorship application to Citizenship and Immigration Canada on August 18, 2011. It was received and entered into the system on August 25, 2011. We have now been in Ecuador for just over a month, and despite 3 trips to Quito and numerous trips to the Civil Registry Office in Canoa where we live, we are FARTHER away from getting our paper work in line for our residency visas. On average, it takes about one working week for anyone in any office here to print off a simple form.... and that's only if there are no mistakes in the system.

Well, as good as my intentions were, part two of our Ecuador arrival isn't going to come. Realistically I will never get to it, and if I try to catch everyone up on a day by day basis, You will never know what we are up to until two weeks late To make a long story short, we were in Quito for a week and only managed to obtain one of the documents we needed....which literally took them 30 seconds
