1. Saving Contacts and Personal Files to the Memory card
a.Go to "contacts Directory"
    a.1. Create New Database
            a.1.1. File
            a.1.2. More Option

    a.2. Copy Contacts from the Device to Memory Card
            a.2.1. Select all Contacts by pressing "CTRL+A"
            a.2.2 Go to "File" then choose "More Option"

Modems,and data transmission,are the black arts of the computer industry.Hyper-regulated,with committees on committees deciding exactly what the standards will be,it's hard to get through the gobbledygook and find out what you need to know.The good news is,you don't need to know much to understand,in layman terms,how a modem works.Follow along the basic.

1.The word modem is derived from the term MOdulator-DEModulator.Similar to a radio,a modem takes a signal,changes its properties,and transmits it;then another like system receives it on the other end.

2.Before you send information,your modem needs to connect with the receiving modem.There are several settings in your modem's protocol that must be set in order to do this.Fortunately,wondows 95 or either of the netscape products will set these for you.In the old days (many years ago) you had to manually set these parameters (stop,Bits,Parity)to connect with the receiving modem.If you must adjust these settings,they reside in the Control Panel,Modem,Properties,Conncetion tab.

3.Once properly connected to the receiving,or host,computer,your modem is ready to send data.To send the information from your computer to another,the modem changes the information from its digital form to analog data.

4.The speed at which a modem can transfer data is rated in kilobits per second,or kbps.Earlier,28.8-kbps modems are the norm.Anything less than 14.4.kbps is worthless,and the new 56-kbps technology,while promosing,is still a little rough around the edges,at least when used with an analog phone line.

5.The host modem receives and translates your information into a digital form the host computer can use.The host,in turn,will process any data request generated by your transmission,perform the function,translate the result into analog data,and return the information to your computer

You can use the Error-checking tool to check for file system errors and bad sectors on your hard disk.
1.Open My Computer, and then select the local disk you want to check.
2.On the File menu, click Properties.
3.On the Tools tab, under Error-checking, click Check Now.
4.Under Check disk options, select the Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors check box.

Notes
To open My Computer, click Start, and then click My Computer.
All files must be closed for this process to run. If the volume is currently in use, a message box will appear prompting you to indicate whether or not you want to reschedule the disk checking for the next time you restart your system. Then, the next time you restart your system, disk checking will run. Your volume will not be available to perform other tasks while this process is running.
If your volume is formatted as NTFS, Windows automatically logs all file transactions, replaces bad clusters, and stores copies of key information for all files on the NTFS volume.

1. The first thing you need is phone service.There are other ways to hook up,but the jack in your wall is the easiest.Those who are frequently online should get a second phone line for the modem-to reduce marital tension.

2.You will also need some phone cable (the type that connects your phone to the wall) and a splitter,unless you have a dedicated modem line.Both are available at small technology shops and in the electronics section of larger department stores.

3.Of course you need a computer.Minimum specifications would be a 486/100 Mhz with 16MB of memory(RAM) and about 25MB of free hard disk space (for browsing software).The faster your system-as measured in MB of RAM,generation (Pentium vs.486),and Mhz-the better off you'll be.

4. And you need a modem.These come in two breeds: the ubiquitous internal and nearly extinct external.Internal modems mate to the motherboard inside your computer.External modems,which look like smallish eight-track tape players or largish portable CD-ROM players (depending on your generation),plug into the back of your computer require an external power source.

5. 28.8 kbps (kilobits per second) is pretty much the standard speed.Anything less is just too slow.There is much hoopla over the coming 56 kbps-capable modems and the phone lines that can handle them.Although they appear to be the technology of the future,a 28.8-kbps or 33.6-kbps modem is fine for now.

6. A costly,yet quicker,option is ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network).ISDN phones transmit data in digital,instead of analog,format and can race up to 128 kbps.This service is usually available from your phone company.

7. ISDN requires a special phone line,which your phone company will provide,and either an internal card,called a terminal adapter,or an external ISDN modem (a misnomer,since it is no longer modulating analog data to digital), both of which you can purchase from a well-equipped computer store.

8. Modems are normally not difficult to install.Remove your computer's cover,plug in the modem to the motherboard,button up the computer,and run the supplied software.

Once the packets reach their destination,the computer on the receiving end removes the IP header and uses the data that TCP attached to each packet to make sure none of the packets have been lost or damaged.The packets are then reassembled into the original message.If the computer discovers a darmaged packet, it sends a message to the sending computer asking it to resend the packet.

Computers need specific software to use TCP/IP.This software,often called the TCP/IP stack is included in Windows 95.The visually prominent part of the TCP/IP stack is the Win Sock shared library, or Win Sock folder.dll ,which is stored in your Window folder.Because the TCP/IP stack is included in Windows 95 ,it's simple to connect a Windows 95 computer to the Internet.

The hardware used to connect computes to the Internet varies.If you access the Internet from home,you must likely use a modem.(Modems let the computer send and receive information over the phone line).Some people use a faster type of access called ISDN.

To add a snap-in:

1.Open MMC.
2.On the File menu, click Add/Remove Snap-in.
3.In the Add/Remove Snap-in dialog box, click Add.
4.In the Add Standalone Snap-in dialog box, click the snap-in you want to add to the console, and then click Add.
5.You can add additional snap-ins by repeating steps 2 through 4.

Notes
To open MMC, click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type mmc, and then click OK.

1. Sign in to the Windows Live Hotmail website with your Windows Live ID ( The user name and password that you use to sign in to any Windows Live, MSN, or Office Live sites and services. If you have a Passport Network, Hotmail, or Messenger account, you can use it as your Windows Live ID. ) .
2. Open your Inbox, and then double-click the message that you want to allow or block.
3. Do one of the following:

-If the sender isn't on your list of Safe senders but you want to add the sender to the list, click Mark as safe.
-If the sender isn't on your list of Safe senders and you want to delete this message and block any future mail from the sender, click Junk.
–or–
If the message is a phishing (Falsely claiming to be a legitimate business to send you to a fake website or scam you into giving out private information.) e-mail, click Mark as, and then click Phishing scam.
Allow or block e-mail from a sender or domain:

-People who send junk e-mail often use a variety of similar e-mail addresses. If you receive junk e-mail from an e-mail address similar to one that you've already blocked, click Mark as unsafe on each message that you want to block.
-Never add your personal e-mail address to your Safe senders list.

A wildcard characters is keyboard character suchs as an asterisk(*)or a question marak(?) that is used to represent one or more characters when you are searching for files, folders ,printers,computers or people.
Wildcard characters are often used in place of one or more characters when you do not know what the real characters is or you do not want to type the entire name.

Uses:
Use the asterisk as a substitute for zero or more characters.If you are looking for a file that you know starts with "gloss* but you cannot remember the rest of the file name,type the following:
Gloss*
This located all files of any file type that bigen with "gloss"including Glossary.txt,Glossary.doc,and Glossy .doc,to narrow the search to a specific type of file type:
Gloss*.doc
This locates all files that begin with "gloss" but have the file name extension .doc, such as Glossary.doc and Glossy.doc.

Question mark (?)
Use the question mark as a substitute for a single character in a name. For example, if you type gloss?.doc, you will locate the file Glossy.doc or Gloss1.doc but not Glossary.doc.
