The drawing I used was a 2-D layout of the walls and columns of a building. I selected conceptual view and placed some colors to create a more realistic feel. I used AutoCAD for this one. Here is a sample of what I have done.

The photo above is a view of the extruded objects from above.

This photo shows the view from the bottom of the extruded object.

Unfortunately, I didn't placed the indoor dividers, windows and floors. I really hope I can work on improving this one.

Have you ever thought of having a magnetic pen that can serve as a toy? If you did, then this pen is for you. Polar pen is a modular pen which is made up of Neodymium magnets. It is composed of ring-shaped magnets which can be put together to form the body of the pen. It can also be used as a stylus thus allowing you to draw using a digital tablet. You can also disintegrate the magnets to create an alternative compass or simply turn it into a toy.
Hello readers. After a long a very long time of not posting, I am posting another artwork I made. It is named "James and Pink". The black outline was manually drawn on paper. Later on, I took a photo of the sketch and placed in the colors using a photo-editing software (specifically Adobe Photoshop). I may later on post the exact steps on how I colored the sketch digitally. Below, you can see the raw version of the photo.

I was searching for my old stuff in the drawers until I found this old drawing. This is an anamorphic sketch of a pencil I did years ago*. I thought I already lost it, but fortunately it is still well kept together with my old quiz papers.

I already took a photo of this drawing before. However, I took it using a webcam so the resolution is not so good. Taking the opportunity, I took these photos with a camera with better resolution. I hope you will like it. I will try to create more drawings if I have spare time.

I am sorry for not posting for almost a month because I am currently studying at school. Once again, I am posting another colored drawing. I decided to draw an apple, orange, and banana. I have drawn these fruits using colored pencils. I also did some shading for the background. Your feedback and comments are greatly appreciated.

As of last week, the blog's feed will only show an excerpt of a blog post instead of showing the full post on the reader. Instead, I created a summary below each feed which tells you where to see the full post. I hope you can comment a feedback about this change because I am not sure If this is better than showing the full post.
You can subscribe in the feed by clicking "Subscribe in a reader" on the right panel of the blog. You can use wide variety of web-based news readers. You can also subscribe by using your email address. Thank you for your time here. :)

If you are a doodler and you want to use something new aside from your paper and pencil, then 3Doodler might be the thing you are looking for. Why? It is because 3Doodler allows you to draw three-dimensional figures. 3Doodler is created by Peter Dilworth and Max Bogue, co-founders of Wobbleworks LLC. It is founded in 2011.

Using 3Doodler is like using a pencil, but this time you can draw above the paper, something your lead pencil can't do. Thus, it became the world's first 3D printing pen. The possibilities are endless. You can create ostriches, butterflies and even a replica of the Eiffel tower. The only limit is your imagination(and the ink, of course).

Once again, I attempted to create another anamorphic drawing. This one is a stick man which is supposed to look like it is standing above the paper. I actually posted something similar to this before. It is named "Pencil Trick". You can check it by clicking the link.

I actually had a lot of tries doing a 3D looking sketch before I achieved this one. The trick is that you draw the stick man by stretching the upper parts more as compared to the lower parts. This way, you can create an illusion of the standing stick man if viewed on the right angle.

I have placed the top view of the drawing below in order to show how it really looks like.

I also took a photo of the anamorphic stick man with thick marker outlines. (taken from the angle that creates an illusion)

I will try to post a better anamorphic drawing if I have time. In the meantime, you can leave your comments and feedback about the stick man below.

How would a slinky fall down if you let it go after suspending it with your hand? Of course, it would fall down to the ground. But the question is How?

This video presents a slinky falling down in slow-mo. In the video, you can see that the slinky's bottom part doesn't fall to the ground immediately. Rather, it suspends in the air for a while. Amazing isn't it? You can also watch the video on Youtube by clicking "here".

By the way, I made some changes with the blog template for desktop view to make it look better. I also changed the color of the koi into blue koi*. You may try to feed them by clicking the white background. You can visit the "Feedback Page" if you want to talk about these changes.

Have you ever wondered if someone from space, perhaps extraterrestrials, intercepted one of our space probes? Can we somehow leave a message in that space probe in case an extraterrestrial will intercept it (if they ever exist)? The answer is yes.

In fact, NASA already did it. They placed the message to both Voyager 1 and 2. The message is said to be carried by a phonograph record. The phonograph record is a 12-inch gold plated copper disk. It contains sounds and images that show the life on this planets. The contents of the record are carefully selected by a committee chaired by Carl Sagan of Cornell University.

As of this moment, Voyager 1 and 2, together with the record, are already in space and are about to reach interstellar space.

You can read more about the golden record and Voyager 1 and 2 if you click the link below.

You can check it yourself by viewing my blog using your mobile phones.

Let us discuss a few of the changes. Aside from the changing of theme from blue to gray, you can now see that a search bar is added. You can see it on the topmost part of the screen. On the right side of the screen, you can see my About me tab and the RSS Feed tab. Here is a screenshot of the mobile version template.
Hello Readers, I would like to share another sketch made by me. Sorry for bad photo quality because it was taken using a webcam. Just keep reading though.

This one is named "The Linguist", the one that is very good in poetry and language. He would talk very fluent and write in a good manner, a very creative one when it comes to words and sentences. Wait, he also have some friends, just wait for them until I post it here one after the other. I would be good if you leave a feedback and share it with some friends. I hope you enjoy, Thanks a lot!

Pardon me for not posting for a long time. It is due to the hectic schedule I am having lately. Anyway, I just dropped by to post something very nice. As the title implies, the photo I am sharing is made by Peter From, a photographer and an artist. The photo is entitled "Into the Nightmare" and is found on one of his albums.

One more thing, a description was attached to the post where the photo is taken. Here is the message of the post. It is a bit scary though.

In November 1912 a young girl disappeared without a trace after having visited her uncle in the old house on the hill by the lake... The Police found no evidence against the uncle and released him from custody after a short investigation... Whatever happened to that girl will remain a mystery... Her uncle died shortly thereafter but the old house is still there.......

Can you solve the mystery..? What do YOU see..?

I just want to share a photo I found in an image viewing site. The painting was said to be made by Jirka Vinse Jonatan, a Finnish artist. These are recreation of popular Disney female characters by painting it, as if they are real! This is surely a very amusing collection. Sorry if it is a bit small and long. Here is the link to his blog: http://jirkavinse.wordpress.com/

When I was still a small kid, our teachers always tell us about a lot of stories, especially fables. Sometimes, they would let us read it aloud and like it. I really miss those old times. because of this, I decided to read some of those fables again until I came across something. A fable that caught my attention. The fable is simple but has very good message. I want to share it to you. It is about the two travelers and a bear.

TWO MEN were traveling together, when a Bear suddenly met them on

their path. One of them climbed up quickly into a tree and
concealed himself in the branches. The other, seeing that he
must be attacked, fell flat on the ground, and when the Bear came
up and felt him with his snout, and smelt him all over, he held
his breath, and feigned the appearance of death as much as he
could. The Bear soon left him, for it is said he will not touch
a dead body. When he was quite gone, the other Traveler
descended from the tree, and jocularly inquired of his friend
what it was the Bear had whispered in his ear. "He gave me this
advice," his companion replied. "Never travel with a friend who
deserts you at the approach of danger."

Misfortune tests the sincerity of friends.

I've been recently thinking about the past lately so I decided to share this memory with you. When we still live in our province, I remember people taking care of different domestic animals like dogs, cats and chickens. Chickens are very common in a our province. Anyway, it is a place near the farm so it wouldn't be that strange. Chickens are good runners and has great agility which make it hard to catch one. You would probably run for a very long time just to get one. However, people there thought of a brilliant idea. They set a trap made of iron nets that resembles a basket. Under the iron net are corn kernels, which serves as a bait. The opening was provided by putting a wooden stick on the mouth of the basket. The wooden stick is tied to a rope which when pulled closes the basket. I created a simple illustration of this trap below. Enjoy! To start the year with something beautiful, I posted a photo of an aurora borealis. This wonderful photo is taken from an article and is shot as it shines above Bear Lake, Alaska. They really look like green curtains in the northern sky. It is said that auroras, like the one above are caused by the collision of charged particles from solar winds and particles in the Earth's atmosphere. This collision causes the wonderful scenery. It can only be seen near the poles because of Earth's magnetosphere. I hope you enjoy it.
