Gus, a nine-year-old Chinese crested dog from St Petersburg, Florida, captured the hearts of judges at the 20th Annual World's Ugliest Dog contest at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in northern California.
Gus, a Chinese crested who had one eye and three legs, won the title of World's Ugliest Dog this summer.
Gus, the World's Ugliest Dog, has died yesterday after losing a battle with skin cancer.
Owner Jeanenne Teed, from Florida, said she would spend the $1,600 prize on treatment for Gus's skin cancer but till can't helped it.

Newfoundland dogs need plenty of daily exercise - and love to swim. Newfoundland dogs do not enjoy hot weather, and do best in cooler climates.

The Vizsla Dog comes from Hungary and was bred originally pointing, falconry and trailing. The Vizsla Dog is also known by the other names of Hungarian Vizsla, Magyar Vizsla, Hungarian Pointer and Drotszoru Magyar Vizsla. The word Vizsla is often mis-spelt as Visla.
