These occasions would have an impact no earth, though lots of of research have been carried out to debunk these myths. Scientists say that there is extremely little truth to these theories, and that 2012 is too quickly for the earth being disintegrated by huge astronomical events. Whether it might happen or not in 2012, I cannot tell.

All I know is that it The End might be really dependent on as us. And now that 2012 is already here with us. I guess there is only one way to find out. Would Going Smart Perhaps Be Better?

What if everyone on earth each contributed a dollar in the span of one year to help the poor. Would be really feel the cost individually? I say this, because I keep on asking myself why must a few people make so much and then give it out to the poor, at their own expense, to help make the donor concept work. Isn't that just ridiculous!

What if countries did collect that money and voted on alleviating at least housing problems for the whole world, for a start. Would we really feel that cost?

Would anyone including children fail to get a sponsor to help them raise a dollar in a year? And how much would that be, considering we are about six and a half billion people on earth? I hate to get into the nitty-gritty details and criticism to the idea. But think about it seriously. Six billion, four hundred million dollars a year at no great cost to the contributors!

The the reason I raise this point is that there aren't enough rich men willing to forfeit their wealth to help sort out the poverty problem, once and for all. The few that have the heart, have to constantly monitor the monies otherwise it gets taken away by the haves, somewhere in the process.

Think of it this way. If the “haves” of a country cannot help their own “have nots,” how do you expect the “haves” from another country to succeed in doing so? Furthermore, we still have to consider and ensure that the “have nots” don't ride to the devil when they indeed get the money.

Going about the poverty problem without looking at other critical factors, like entrepreneurship, is akin to trying to fill up a bath tub by merely opening the taps at full blast without putting the bath plug in place or stopping the leakages; for that matter. At the end of it all, you achieve very little for so much effort.

Other critical factors could be literacy levels, peaceful co-existence and getting rid of detrimental cultural practices. It's futile to make a poor man in my village rich, only to have him marry other wives; more often breaking up his home or simply adding more mouths to feed.

Unless we get rid of the follies fueling poverty, this is a war we can't win. Remember the HIV virus, among other disease causing organisms, is also trying to survive. Think about it!

Perhaps the creator really wants us to launch a fact-finding mission. He may want us to put everything on the table and then device a test. He knows that we've done countless lab tests on animals and plants and made startling discoveries, but nothing on who's worshiping the right God

It would have been very easy for humanity to seek the right Supreme Being, assuming that one exists, if we had only one person on earth. That person would get so lonely and start talking to things and eventually cry out to the Supreme Being. Wouldn't you do the same, if you suddenly found yourself alone on earth? With six and a half billion people, belonging to diverse religions, sects or belief systems! Now that might take a miracle; one performed by man himself! And our creator must know that too well.

I mean, man fools chicken that he has their best interests at heart! The chicken might be fooling something else; which could, in turn, also be fooling its own victims. But who said the process starts with man! Man could also be a victim of something else too. Why not? Think about it!

Powered by weRead

Is Man On The Monkey Test

Imagine a locked monkey in a room with only a bell and a light. When the bell rings and the light is switched on, food is delivered. What is expected to happen, is the monkey is supposed to know the drill before expecting food. It's not to anticipate food when only the bell rings, or when only the light comes on. This test is even tried when the monkey is satisfied. The question here is, do you think the monkey will ever know it's being tested?

Well is it the same “monkey test” with man? We currently have with us various religions, different minds, races, abilities, conflicts, challenges etc. plus the ability to, nowadays, “think outside the box.” And so maybe some Being or something wants man to simply connect the dots!

Man was—and perhaps is really—being waited on. Only this time the test is pretty complex. Whether man will be able to connect the dots or not, is up to man. You all know a test fails if there's an unintended external influence. So the Supreme Being—if I am right and if he exists of course—can’t help us directly here. He can't appear in physical form, send his minders or do something that borders on supernatural disclosures.

All I can say is the end time we wish for could be begging for our attention. Not for forever though, if the end time on 21st December 2012 is real.

Maybe, they have a way of influencing our thoughts! Or maybe they have penetrated the human race and are undetectable! Maybe they are using this to rule the earth and ensure we are headed for ruin!

It's like being in a bus, driven by a sober driver with a deadly mission to kill everyone on-board. And having drunk, oblivious and rowdy, hooligans” as fellow passengers. If this is truly the case, how will we turn the tables? How will the bunch of drunks wrench the control of the bus from the sober driver, bent on harming them? What if someone in that crowd has been pretending to be drunk and oblivious too; but is actually sober and hiding a weapon on behalf of the driver? Imagine being the one who discovers the ploy! How would you react?

Hmm! All can I do is pity if that person will be you……

The aliens are perhaps at a higher level of intelligence. They might be as united as a single item. They might have a sense that when applied, makes them invisible; almost like the alien in, “Predator,” the movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

With that regard, I think we definitely need to start looking inside the box too. Sticking to only one strategy might just offer that needed change but no solution. And while we are on the issue of change we need to be clear on beneficial change and harmful change. We've heard of people deciding to start taking drugs or alcohol to help them go through a problem or challenge. This might construe thinking outside the box, just like killing your competitors is; but that's no credible solution.

Aliens might already be living here on earth and could have been identified by man and named. Meaning they might have, since, become some of the marvelous creatures of Mother Earth. It could all be a ploy to convince man that all animals and plants, that are existing here on earth, are part of the earth's living things; and hence the need to focus on outside this planet. How do we know that the alien's informer is not, man's best friend, the dog? Have you ever looked deeply into the eyes of a dog that's also looking at you! Or maybe it's the cat that is the alien! Maybe they have us all fooled. They also die, do stupid things and their brains are smaller. But maybe that's all an act.

Add our creator's say or influence in all this and you might agree that we could be holding the wrong end of the stick with regards to this topic. My "The Grand Counter Test" (http://www.johnlerrato.com/The Grand Counter Test.htm) could in future be an inevitable desperate act by man when the aliens finally show up and fight us."

So it might not be a question of "if" but "when;" with regards to the "The Grand Counter Test" now that the secret is out"

"The End time you wish for is thus still begging for your attention. Not for long though, if the end time on 21st December 2012 is real.

I see many a predicament people go through when trying to answer the age old question whether it is Evolution or Creation. I Just joined glossolalia.com (http://glossolalia.com/index.php?topic=643.0) and encountered one such case. My advise was that one need not crack their brains over this unanswered question. If a powerful being is indeed out there, then it's possible, quite easy in fact, that he exists and doesn't exist at the same time. Pretty easy for him/her or it to achieve that. Otherwise we can't claim them to be all powerful if we can pin-point what they can or cannot do. check out my supporting argument at http://www.johnlerrato.com/Supreme Being Checklist.htm

I advised that fretting over who is right or wrong is like dying of hunger because you only eat blue bananas. Antibiotics was discovered, so will the truth. And going by the current scares like End of the world 2012, or ideas like mine the truth could be making its last lap.

Well, this response reminds me of some heated discussion I recently had with a brother from the middle east. Though we did not spoil for a fight, I could tell his views and my views were so divergent that changing each others world view was like trying to convince the lions to eat grass and zebras to eat lion meat.

Powered by weRead

John Lerrato's Thoughts: Hindsight Sunday

John Lerrato's Thoughts: Hindsight Sunday

The End time you wish is begging for your attention.
Yeah! That’s what I choose to call it! And what is it you might ask? Well, 21st December 2012 has been rumored to be the end of the world. “Okay, this is October. … Eh…..October 2011 to December 2012 is like um…. More than a year away” Or so we think! Well how old are you? Did those years really drag? No, did you say?

Well, what I see going on is everyone going about their business, without seriously asking themselves if end of the world 2012 is real. There is some evidence here and there, but I will not confirm it or deny it for you. That’s not my concern today. My concern is the way we go about alarming announcements. A concern I choose to call “Hindsight Sunday” simply because I thought about it today.

If an earthquake shook some distance part of your world, what would you do? Wouldn’t you simply catch it on the news and momentarily feel sorry for the victims; especially, if they don’t happen to be closely related to you? Wouldn’t your concern level, mostly, rise if someone close to you happened to be in that area at the time of the incident?

Then, you would make that all important phone call and return to your usual self as soon as you established the person of your concern was well and out of danger. In this case wouldn’t you soon forget the incident and move on to your desirable concern, which most often than not involves fun, leisure or personal gratification et al.

Hindsight it is and we are badly afflicted! We are so consumed with our own concerns that I’m pretty sure many of us heard some old, 6 ton, NASA satellite was to fall on earth in late September 2011 and it was to disintegrate as soon as it enters the earth’s atmosphere; thereby creating some concern that scores might get injured. Whether that incidence came to pass or not definitely failed to register in many a heads. We are just too busy chasing our on engagements be it personal or professional to keep tabs on such alarming events. By the way it did fall safely so its okay to go out.

And that’s the same way it might happen on 21st December 2012. End of the world 2012 could be real or just a good scare. But the gain of such a threat—yes the gain—to all of mankind due to that threat will pass without notice too. What! Let me break it up to you. The pressure on us to evade catastrophe on 21st December 2012—or any other date—should be piling up on us and in our calculated efforts, we ought to come up with some earth-saving strategies and apply them.

But instead the best many plan to do is enjoy themselves till then. Then have a late night on December 20th 2012, waiting with bated breath as the day ends. I can bet that the number of confessions or pardons passed to the various worshiped deities will hit an all time high between 20th December 2012 and 21st December 2012.

The question is how many will carry out strategies in their own small way to avert doomsday on 21st December 2012? Like planting trees! It could help climate change, couldn’t it? Or how many people will do their research and apply their own earth-saving strategies like mine. Mine involves a mass prayer plan. An event that costs nothing so everyone can afford it!

An event that everyone can know about in time, due to the current technology! An event that can be completed in one hour, but only take 5 minutes of your daily time for the next 12 days! An event that can have a far-reaching effect, should our creator exist out there! An event that can trigger the “others” to come to our aid; the others being Aliens or out of this world beings! Some events serve to trigger innovations. So what will it be?

Powered by weRead

<georss:box>-1.4233928 36.61468920000004 -1.1432738 37.01864420000004</georss:box>

World End 21st December 2012

I just watched "End of the world 2012 and did a self-analysis of our kind and felt—especially during these alleged end times—that we are just too exposed. So much so that if I were an alien sent to destroy earth, I would not come in gun blazing. I would simply trigger the kind of things that are turning man against man. Our “follies” are enough fusion fuels—this does give enriched uranium a new meaning—on their own to expose us and sort of ensure the world ends on 21 December 2012 as has been rumored.

I would only need to do something like burning the Koran during the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan or burning the Bible during Easter and then watching how we take to the ring like two, psychologically stimulated, undisputed, heavyweight, world boxing champions. You all know there can never be two world undisputed world champions. The two have to meet—whether in some Congolese jungle or Manila—and square it out. Whether that will be the case on 21st December 2012, I can't tell yet. Though the various world end predictions seem to be pointing towards 21st December 2012 as the possible end of the world as we know it.

As regards the 21st December 2012 world end, I have a strong conviction that certain things happening in our lives could be leading us towards the end of time. And I know you will partially agree; since many are expecting a Messiah, others reincarnation among other related concepts.

But my view doesn't necessary point towards a bleak end. According to me the 21st world end has been made to seem so—by A being Greater than us—to help us go though the window that has been opened for us, with the hope we will slide through it rather than wait for the catastrophic 21st December Word End . Question is will anyone listen to me? Or will you seek me out on Dec 20th 2012?

Over the next few months, I will continue to spill out my thoughts, if I haven't already in www.johnlerrato.com.

Powered by weRead

John Lerrato's Thoughts: Life After Osama

John Lerrato's Thoughts: Life After Osama

Powered by weRead

Life After Osama

With Osama gone many things have to change. For example I need to change a chapter or two in my book "The End." I had envisaged him and Obama settling the score amicably. Well! I guess Uncle Sam had other ideas. Osama had to go it was! It kept reigning the air in the oval office I guess. And I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one thinking of sorting the terrorist war differently. Well Osama went. Now everyone is waiting with baited breath who the next Osama is gonna be.

So far nothing had come up! And yes we pray it stays that way. Now more than ever, the network ought to try more acceptable means to pass their case. Makes me wonder if Jesus was reborn today. Will everyone be happy? Especially if he comes and the first thing he says is "I've got a deal to save everyone!"

It's almost certain there will be great opposition. Okay let's be considerate and respect diversity. What if a prophet from the past comes back to life with a life changing prediction. A change for the better that is. Will everyone embrace him!

What if he/she made a website since everyone is going online these days, will he/she score better than online pictures of some naked hot celebrities?

Makes you wonder if we have a wiring problem in our brain, doesn't it? I don't know what you think, but for me, I think all the good, life changing solutions, are within our grasp. It's only the wiring or blinders or distractions that are keeping us off.

Well, we learnt to walk by falling a couple of times. And so the trends continues. Hit a wall then know its pain.

If we can learn that fire is hot and burns without doing it practically the better. How many of us, in our childhood, pricked electrical socket holes with coat hangers curiously to feel the effect of the shock generated? I know of a couple of people who did. I remember one fellow who made a brother of mine hold the bulb holder while he put on the light switch. Just to see what will happen

Condolences to the Japanese people for the recent happenings there of course. Take heart the world is with you. I just wish we not only boost the safety of nuclear power but also avoid learning by hitting the wall first.

Another greater discovery might be coming. And the world might quickly and blindly adopt it and suffer a devastating effect. How can we foresee that in time? That's my issue.

Powered by weRead

Pussy foots

I bet everyone wants to end the world on a good note but not during his or her lifetime right? I mean some people pray all night for the apocalypse to heaven but i bet a loud trumpet blowing right then outside wherever they are would send the coldest shivers down their spine instead of handshakes and hugs.

Imagine praying for something then that very instant having whatever it is right in front of your eyes. Not too shocking I guess! Not like a Christian praying for eternal life and then hearing a loud trumpet. Oh how I wish our creator would do some test shots as "are you reeeaaady..." echoes in my head.

Well, one day it might just happen.....Not the real thing but coincidentally that someone will happen to obliviously blow a trumpet as someone in a Shrine or Church, prays for the apocalypse. The real one will of course happen. But fake one will prove whether we are ready or not!!! Take football for example. There is the American approach, then—I dare not say English version—there’s the European version et al.

The point here is our views are so divergent and tartly that a judge sitting somewhere trying to sort the world’s conflicts by listening to every concerned party will have to be fed Aspirin— maybe 5 100ml bottles intravenously —through the entire process.

Take the Israeli—Palestinian conflict and the resultant conflicts and tension it has brought among the world citizenry. Assuming you’re not from any of the affected countries. Let’s say you‘re a pygmy in the Congolese jungle and have no TV, or internet. If the world sent reps to you to listen and help them resolve the Israeli-Palestine conflict would you come to any conclusion?

Personally I think you would rather not give a resolution that favors any one party lest you risk starting a physical conflict at you feet.

I watch with a little anguish when people play the religious and racial card when trying to pass their heavily prejudiced views. It’s like randomly picking one man from each English football premiership team, putting them in one pitch and telling them to play and win the title for their home teams. Total mayhem, is what it is!
Reminds me of my high school days. We had the official professional football team that practiced on the A1 pitch. Then there were the other pitches where anyone willing to play some football simply joined in and ran after the ball. It was called 100 a side and one was free to change sides anytime; like some turncoats you and me know about.

It worked well for the school establishment since close to 250 students running after one ball assured the school of physically fit students. There wasn’t even a referee. Everyone was the player, the referee and spectator at the same time. Thinking back it was akin to putting 100 hungry rabbits in a field and providing only one carrot.

Looking at the world social Arena does look much similar. It’s slightly less chaotic but essentially the same. With the recurring global conflicts lasting as far back as I can remember, we need to start asking our selves some real hard questions. Like could there be a greater force or forces leading us on. Is some force dictating our ideologies?

I’m just trying to introduce the bigger picture. One can’t sort a jigsaw puzzle with only a few of the jigsaw pieces. You need the whole set right in front of you to appreciate, and enjoy the challenge of solving it.
So here we are! My ebook might construe throwing some large spanner into the works since it challenges some status quos but I think it’s a view worth considering seriously.

With the flawed reasoning and ethnocentrism going around it’s become very prudent and clear in my mind that certain critical, world saving, ideologies need to be passed around cheaply. That's why my Ebook is selling at Amazon cheaply.

Powered by weRead

Programs And Viruses Working Towards Our End

I’m a little mollified about my online work, having almost recovered from a virus attack on my computer. But an entirely related front raises my blood pressure 5 degree higher. In fact on a Global scale, there is reason to worry. The only calming effect comes from the fact there is safety in numbers. Or the thought that if it affects everyone then there is really not much we can do.

Which brings me to my earlier prophecy. I mentioned the world could be brought down by computer viruses and programs in future. Little did I know that close to a year later, a virus attack to Iran’s power plant would capture the world’s attention with the stunning revelation of the Stuxnet virus.

The mysterious Stuxnet virus has been around since last year though, it has only just been brought into the limelight. They say its size and the complexity of its coding is baffling and that it targets the industrial infrastructure which as you know, dictates our everyday lives.

Analysts like O Murchu, who works for the anti-virus firm Symantec, have recently found out its true capabilities. And the worst affected country is Iran, which admits one of its nuclear facilities was affected.

Well, I’m watching the events having said all I could say in my Book “The End.” At least I feel I met my social obligation; to my species that is.

Powered by weRead

Religious Tug of War

Every day I hear and see it in the media, churches, mosques, shrines, workplaces, and social places. People praising their religion and bashing some other belief!

Well, I have noticed something weird about all this. We all seem to pronounce our beliefs when we are among others of the same ilk. Take one individual and plant him amongst adherents of another religion and his or her survival instinct takes over.

Why is that? Why do we back off when we are placed in a situation where we have to mingle very closely with members of some other religion?

Take two married people each from a different belief. Why is there some sort of agreement on this issue? Or two people dating!

I don’t know what you think but I think we fool ourselves a lot. Our views and opinions are very relative. It is indeed a religious tug of war with every belief pulling in different directions such that very little progress is made relative to the effort.

That’s why I still suggest we do a test and get the right belief once and for all .

Powered by weRead

Questions with no answers

Religion is a very hot topic I must say. I have just being reading various online attempts to explain the differences between the different beliefs. And conclude it’s tough to understand all the differences and reasoning. It is so much so that I’m beginning to believe conflict and some forceful take over is the only way we can resolve all the diverse differences and end up with one real and true fact about our past and future.

It's also amazing how the world continues on with the conflicts derived from religions beliefs. If it's not how many blocks the Muslim Center should be from ground zero, then its Ahmadinejad's comments on 9/11 at UN National Assembly.

If you're an alien sent to resolve this religious conflict, I bet you would resign on day one. Personally what's intrigues me most is what is up our Creator's sleeves, if he exists of course. It must be so complex if the events of last week are anything to go by. Or is it so simple but difficult for us to comprehend due to our mindsets?

Powered by weRead

So God holds councel with satan huh!

I just went through the whole book of Job in the Holy Bible again and just noted that when God's Angels and Satan appeared before him in Job 1:6, God immediately notices Satan and addresses him like one would an acquittance. There is no fury or repulsion like we would like to imagine.

They hold a discussion and decide to try Job's commitment to God. Job on his part is innocent. And so there is no reason given other than the fact that his faith in God in a cut above the rest and God can afford to challenge Satan knowing very well the kind of person Job is.

So according to this belief even people who have no reason whatsoever to surfer sometime get caught up in God and Satan's moral battles. It even seems those whose faith or moral standards are high are the ones who often get tested.

Pretty interesting.

Powered by weRead

Our Creator likes to test us. Proof from a Holy book

I just happened to read through a passage in one of the Holy books, I'm preparing to study in detail.

My observation comes from the book of Job in the Christian Bible. Job Chapter 1, verse 6 says that " One day the Angels come to present themselves before the Lord and Satan also came with them. And God saw Satan and asked " Where have you come from?" And Satan replied, "From roaming through the earth and going to and fro in it?"

Then the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him: he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil."

This conversation goes on and in the end God allows Satan to test Job. Thereafter Job goes though a major test of his faith. He first looses his wealth, due to God's actions. Then Satan afflicts sores on him. He is then visited by three friends who try to pump their sense into him. But the man remains steadfast.

And so our creator testing man is not a new thing. I have only based this on one belief but I am now convinced, more than ever, that I have something in my book worth telling the world. God could be testing us.

The end goes that Job speaks right about God despite his suffering and gets blessed in the end. He is given twice as much as he had before.

Now this is not my imagination. It's in one of the most powerful religious books.

Powered by weRead

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://johnlerrato.blogspot.com/2010/09/our-creator-likes-to-test-proof-from.html" title="Our Creator likes to test us. The Islamic community center might be moved to some other place. I had kept my mouth shut on this one, hoping for some twist of event that would relieve the rising tension. This was a case of two rights and two wrongs out of one proposed incident. And it was so strong that the Muslim Holy book, The Koran, was to be burnt during the end of Ramadhan.

Things were threatening to boil over. World leaders all over the world, including the Pope were cringing at the very thought. And the global citizenry was right behind them; hoping for some reprieve. It was akin to two speeding trains, each with the right of way, quickly approaching each other.

The act in Florida would have impacted us in many ways than imagined. It could even be costed.

Well, thank God, things are cooling down. This two acts, were likely to open a new wave of hatred that I hate to imagine. Now let's hope the dust will settle and we could move on to the next crisis.

Powered by weRead

One calamity away always

Is it just me or are always having a calamity to deal with on a global scale. I'm trying imagine if we only had one human leader responsible for running the world. I think he would go nuts.

The oil leak in the gulf of Mexico is over. Now it's the flood in Pakistan. Some Superbug from New Delhi is also trying to chip in some drama. And there are many other happening that I'm unaware of.

Oh yes, then there are the man-made ones like the building of the Mosque in New York. Not that I'm for or against it. I'm just highlighting the the tension it is bringing.

Well, what are we doing to counter this rocky happenings? What are we doing to keep us sane and happy?

I don't have the answers and your guess is as good as mine. There are a couple of things we are already doing of course. We also cannot prevent everything. But we can try to mitigate against them. And yes, some can be prevented or minimized.

All I can say is let's keep it up. Let's continue thinking and impacting our world more positively. Don't sit on your ideas.

Powered by weRead

register

Powered by weRead
