Nowadays, there are many free webhosting services available on the Internet. Sometimes it can be difficult to choose which one is best for you. First of all, you need to bear in mind free wehosting usually have some limitations such as not allowed email accounts, no mysql databases, no perl etc. It varies from each web host.

There are sometimes hidden cost as well for free webhosting. For example, you need to register a domain name from the web host before you can have free web hosting. Other place restriction on bandwidth, disk space and if you exceed them, expect to pay some money.

Another type is some web host will place banners, text links etc on your webpage. Some only occupy a small amount of screen space while others can be as large as one-third. Geocities.com is an example of a free webhosting service that places banners, text links on your webpage.

With that said, if you really have no money, then there is no choice but to get free webhosting. It is also useful if you are new to web design and can use it for testing purposes. I still have one hosted on geocities with my first designed personal webpage.

There are literally thousands of free webhosting services out there but I will recommend the top 3 which I have used before.

#1 Champshost.com

Champhost is in my opinion is the best free webhosting service. They give 1000MB diskspace, no ads on your webpage and allows php, cgi, perl. The only thing they ask for is you contribute some post to their forum which isn’t so hard.

#2 – 100webspace.com

100webspace get my vote as the second best. They offer 100MB space, all full features as a paid web hosting, that includes, email, ftp, php, mysql etc. The only thing I did not like they have ads on your webpage but it isn’t too big to be a distraction.

#3 – Neopages.net

I like neopages because they are actually one of the few webhosting services that do not make any kind of money from offering free webhosting. They offer 150MB space, no ads as well as PHP, cgi, mysql, email, ftp etc.

The only issue is approval is on a case by case by members voting and you must have an existing website published already. It is pretty hard to get in since they only allow 3 each week.

As you can see, these 3 are just my favorites and there are a lot more free webhosting services available. Do remember to read the terms and conditions carefully to make sure you are actually getting free web hosting

Also, once you have some money do consider upgrading to paid hosting as they offer a lot more features and better support. You can go to any web hosting or webmaster forums where from time to time, webhosting companies offer big discounts for web hosting.

I've also learned that some of the ideas expressed in some of them are so important, that if you don't take the time to read them; you'll be spending not only dollars, but time needlessly.
I've learned: that you can spend so much time promoting so many different products; that none of the promotions get enough time to be successful. That shotgun marketing is a losing proposition.
I've learned there are more Internet Gurus than I have time to study, and they got that way because they focused their energy.
I've learned that no matter how attractive the next program, e-book appears; that you must narrow your vision to the one best program you have in your arsenal, and give it 100% of your energy if you expect to succeed.
I've learned that without an opt-in list, you're dead.

It is just easier that way. On the other hand it occasionally causes some amount of anxiety because the feast or famine rules apply. We live in such interesting and challenging times that The Tennessee Mountain Man could and would love to be churning out articles daily, but alas God only gave us twenty-four hours in a day and there are other responsibilities.

Affiliate Junktion, Is It A Scam?

Well… is it, you ask? You get my answer a little bit later in this review.

My name is Robbie Willems. I’m an independent affiliate marketer. I have a website/blog (affiliatetodaytoo.com) focusing on Affiliate Marketing.

I’m always looking for new great affiliate marketing programs. A while ago I found another affiliate program. It was from Affiliate Junktion.

The interesting part was the fact that they almost guaranteed that you would make $150,- per day, within 30 days. Right from the beginning you should be able to make at least some money with their program, they say. And joining them was free.

Wonderful, sounds great. If you want to earn an extra income from working at home, then this could be helpful, I thought. And of course I had my skeptical thoughts, like what's the catch this time. After all, everything should be free.

The program should be free, the affiliate website should be free and their support should be superior and free. Well, everything until this far is true and further...

The first domain name was free and the hosting costs for the first year where compensated with NZ $75,- And by the way, this is not a typo, it turns out that Affiliate Junktion’s currency is in New Zealand Dollars, not USD. They mention that in their affiliate agreement.

Even free advertising credits with Google AdWords and Yahoo! These free credits are very welcome to "play and learn" paid advertising.

Looking good, but again, what's the catch? But on the other hand, it was all free, so I had nothing to lose. I became very curious and wanted some answers.

So I signed up and gave it a shot. I found out that there was some sort of a little catch, but not really.

To get started, you have to go through a few steps. By the way, these steps are indeed very clear and simple. Some of them are even explained in a video tutorial. As a beginner, that helped a lot.

Okay, what about "the so called little catch"…. Well, you get your free website (it turns out to be one sales page with everything on it, that's okay), but of course, it needs to be hosted somewhere.

At this point, maybe you rather wanted to choose your own hosting service for your new free affiliate website. But if you want to get compensated for the hosting costs for the first year, i.e. getting your NZ $75,- sign up bonus, then you must register with the suggested web hosting company.

Luckily it turns out to be a good one. My personal experience with them is super. Their 24/7 live chat support is great, and that is not only important as a beginner in the business.

Okay, let's go back to the so called little catch....What's really the catch if you get compensated for web hosting services with NZ $75,- after all? And above that, if you are a starter just like I was, you need a web hosting company anyway.

The compensation of NZ $75,- will be added into your affiliate account, once you get started. Minimum payout of your affiliate earnings is NZ $150,- , sign up bonus not included. Check the affiliate agreement if you want to know the details.

Do not worry, you will succeed in this. Believe me, just follow the steps, have fun and see how the amount of money in your account is going up.

As mentioned earlier, there is another cool bonus in signing up with Affiliate Junktion. Free advertising credits for Google Adwords and Yahoo! Through signing up with this program you will get a credit code you can use with Yahoo! Research Marketing.

Listen very carefully, I will say this only once… :-)

If you directly sign up with Yahoo! you don't get these free advertising credits. But signing up through the Affiliate Junktion program, you get a credit code worth 50 British Pounds Sterling. So, that is of course much more than the US $50,- starting bonus credit you usually get somewhere else.

Okay, next… For signing up with Google Adwords you get US $30,-. The credit code is given to you by the web hosting company, after signing up with them.

With these credits, you have the possibility to test for a short time, how it's like to advertise with Google Adwords and Yahoo! You see, no risk, no costs at first.

Okay, enough about that. Let's talk about earning money online now. How does it work?

Well, it's a pay per lead earning system, working like this: With a conversion rate set at 25 per cent (rates vary) and if you're receiving 200 visitors each day, that equals 50 leads. Using the minimum commission rate, 50 leads x $2.00 = $100 in commissions per day.

Commissions increase over time as your website grows and you manage to bring in more and more leads. You will earn $2.00 for each lead and work up to $5.00. All commission payments are paid out on a monthly basis. Normally, affiliates receive their payments via Paypal, check or wire transfer. By the way, right now (as I’m writing this), it’s only via check because of some technical issues.

And finally, do I think this program is a scam?

No, it’s not. I’m positive about this affiliate program. Believe me, I’ve tried many and invested a lot of money in programs that didn’t work. But this one is different. The program is really free, at least for the first year.

After that you don't get compensated for the web hosting costs anymore. So what! Because with this program, I think you WILL make money online. Perhaps even for the very first time.

It's a fine program if you want to work from home and earn an extra or even a full time income. So start, learn and earn!

Want a massive amount of web traffic coming to your website each day? One of the best ways to generate such traffic is via search engine marketing. Search engine marketing, also known as "SEM" or simply search marketing is about attracting people who search on particular words ("keywords") and phrases ("keyphrases") in the search engines to visit your website. When someone users a search engine (SE) to look for information or something to buy, they type in words into the search form and up comes a list of sites and descriptions. In most cases, running an effective search engine marketing effort means having your listing appear at the top of the organic results, which appear on the left-hand side of the pages of the major search engines. SEM involves two distinct fields:

Additionally, since the search engines sometimes change these formulas, SEOs have their work cut out for them. Pay-per-click advertising is a matter of bidding for certain keywords or keyphrases in order to achieve a higher listing. However, depending on the search engine in question, it's not quite so simple as the higher the bid, the higher your listing. Google, for example, also bases the paid rankings on the click through rate achieved by a given pay-per-click ad. This rate is the percentage of clicks on your ad divided by all ad views (based on how many instances of the ad are viewed). In simple terms, the higher your bid price AND the higher your click through rate, the higher your paid listing. So... it's possible to bid less than someone else and still have your ad appear higher, just because you get more people clicking on your ad. In the case of pay-per-impression advertising, you are paying for each impression or view of your ad.

Buying paid listings is a great way to test product and service offers. That's why many people advocate that you master PPC before concentrating on optimizing your organic listings. However, there is also an art and science to running an effective pay-per-click campaign. Choosing the right keywords, writing effective ad copy, and having an effective bidding strategy are all essential to pay-per-click success. And don't forget, just like any form of advertising, you want to make sure that you end up with a positive return on your investment. It's one thing to get a lot of clicks... it's another thing to get clicks that convert into sales.

Finding a business opportunity on the net is easy. But evaluating the right one for you, takes a little knowledge. With so many scams, takers and failed ventures you need a little more than the, "highest dollar for the least amount of work" approach. So what should you look for when evaluating an opportunity? Here are 9 pointers.

1. Is it legal?

Do they have a product? Many programs on the net are simply "money movers" with no real products. If this is the case then it's probably illegal simple as that. If you are serious about developing an online reputation for quality and reliability, then don't even entertain the idea of quick easy money. It will catch up with you!

Do they know and follow the law concerning matters such as CAN SPAM and other website legalities? There is no excuse for ignorance on the net! Do your home work and check out:

Do a search on the names of the owners and founders of the products.

2. Does their product have value and advantage?

Is the product something that people want with the potential for repeat sales giving value for money at a competitive price? Do your homework. Search the net for equivalent products and do a price comparison. Does it offer a marketing advantage of some kind? What are the selling benefits of the product over their competitors? If they don't have a marketing advantage why would anyone buy their products?

3. Is it residual?

The best opportunities are the ones that have a growing industry and ideally repeat sales. Make sure if you are marketing a product that you get the benefit of the repeat sales. This is called residual income. If you are expected to find customers but only get the benefit of the first sale, this is unethical and unfair. It is a good idea to evaluate what % is paid back in commissions for the cost of the product or service. All good opportunities pay back an absolute minimum of 20%. Decide you are worth at least that much to them.

4. How long will it pay?

The world is a fast changing place. The cyberworld is even faster! Ask yourself where will the product be in 12 months, 2, and 5 years down the track? This is particularly important for digital and information products. Ask yourself the same about the company. Are they around for a quick buck or do they have a plan to establish long term commerce? Will they develop or keep up with new technologies to maintain a competitive edge? If this information is not readily available on their website, ask them. If they are not planners then they will not survive

5. How long will it take?

Take a long hard look at their compensation plan and compare it to your own goals. Is it cost effective on an hourly basis for the final outcome. You may have to make a decision by balancing time for outcome. You may consider it worthwhile putting in 20 hours work over and above a regular 40 hour job for a small return initially, if the final outcome is say 10 hours per week total for a 5 fold income. Of course you will have to decide first of all exactly how much time you are willing to work on the proposal then ask yourself is their program sufficiently automated to be worth your while?

6. Do they want your success as much as their own?

What is their commitment to you in terms of training and support? If they are not willing to train and support you for your success, are you willing to carry the responsibility of training yourself and dealing with product problems? In my opinion you must have online support and training for whatever you need to do for the mutual success of both you and the company. This can be in the form of email support, forums and a FAQ (frequently asked questions) page on their website.

7. What are the hidden costs?

Ask yourself, "What do I need over and above their proposal in order to achieve my goals", then factor this in to your decision making process. In this you should include things like further study, tools, web hosting expenses, stationary, travel expenses, accommodation etc. It is also important with some businesses to find out if you have a minimum purchase requirement, frequency of compensation and the time period between sales and commission. All these will affect your cash flow. You should then work out exactly what it takes to firstly break even, then become profitable and finally achieve your goals.

8. Is their a lead generation system ?

What assistance is given for approaching potential customers through to closing the deal? This is often non existent with you left to do it all. The best opportunities are fully automated for efficiency but flexible enough to have the essential personal touch. 9. Do they have a money back guarantee?

Whether the product is digital or hardware people will expect a guarantee. Are you able to return and refund products quickly and easily with out problem?
