It goes like this: So let's say you have two 20 year old twin brothers. One goes off on a spaceship and takes a "20 min" trip traveling at a speed close to the speed of light. After the "20 min" he comes back to earth where his brother waited for him to find that the brother didn't wait 20 minutes, he waited 20 years!
