A Sweet Treat

2012-04-03T10:05:00.000-05:00

Chocolate Coconut Mouse

SUPER EASY!

1.Take one can of coconut milk, open it, and leave it uncovered in the fridge for 24 hours.

2. Drain off remaining coconut milk, and dump thick cream in a mixing bowl.

3. Add raw coco (I added about 4 tbs), and sweetener (I used 2 tbs of agave).

DONE!

Tuesday Work-A-Day

My Coral Outfit

2012-03-27T08:36:00.001-05:00

My Outfit Yesterday

Blouse: Purchased (new) from iDeeli, $16 | Skirt: Vintage, purchased (used) at Rock Candy, $10 | Shoes: Delicious, purchased (used) at Clothez Minded, $12 | Earrings: purchased (new) at BGD, $33 | Necklace: purchased (new) from HauteLook, $48

Coral, Tangerine, and Mint, are three of the biggest colors this season, and lucky for me, I've had a pair of mint heels in my closet for a year that I've never worn before. That being said, I decided to go for the tone-on-tone look, and accent with my heels and earrings, which are a two-tone drop style, green on on bottom, mint on top. I'm pretty happy how this outfit turned out, and even more pleased with how little I paid for it.

A Cultural Influence

2012-03-26T15:11:00.002-05:00

Lately I've been spying pieces that are somewhat of a departure from the rest of my wardrobe, silks, burnout velvets, drawstrings, wraps, kimonos, and lots of rich colors! So... I've enlisted the aid of the ever fabulous Chest of Drawers, so help sew some of what I'm piecing together in my head, from what I'm seeing around me.

Here's some inspiration I've found. Enjoy!

Thursday

2012-03-22T13:20:00.000-05:00

My hair needed to be washed today, so I opted for a head scarf rather than to get up early. I also was too lazy to put on makeup, so I opted for a coat of my new lipstick from MAC, in So Chaud matte.
