Boo, iTunes

2012-06-11T10:07:00.002-07:00

I'm going through the process of organizing my entire music collection. iTunes is set to its defaults because I don't really want to use iTunes to organize all of my music. And it has twice played some part in bungling up my organization. Obviously, I hit buttons and clicked on thing in error both times.

Now I'm sorting through three different directories and trying to make sense of it all again. I listen to music pretty much all the time. So, that really messed with my day when I realized it.

Jet Set Radio Remake With Summer Release

2012-06-04T12:38:00.001-07:00

Still super-psyched about the remake of Jet Set Radio (Jet Grind Radio) being released to Playstation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, PC Digital Download and PS Vita. I spent so many hours playing the original on the SEGA Dreamcast back in 2000. Great soundtrack too. Bop around to it with me!

ThunderCats 2012

2012-05-31T18:51:00.001-07:00

What an awful show. It's very pretty, but almost every episode feels like filler or involves flashback. Sometimes I'd rather the story being told in flashback be what the series is actually about. Even the "action-heavy" episodes are boring.

It's very upsetting.

I'll finish out this season, because it has to get better, right? Probably not.

Wheel of Time Book 13

2012-05-30T09:22:00.002-07:00

I finished Book 13 of Wheel of Time earlier this morning. I thought Sanderson did a good job on intertwining the stories of the main players. By doing that well, he gave the story a much more urgent feel. Which is good because Books 8-10 were painfully slow. I appreciated the idea of the three ta'veren seeing brief visions on what one another was doing. It helped the reader determine at what point the current character's story was taking place in relation to the others.

Also, much less braid tugging, but too much phaw.

Jet Set Radio

I saw that Jet Set Radio is going to be released for the PS Vita. I loved the hell out of that game on the Dreamcast. Fun to play and it had one of my favorite soundtracks. Can't wait!!!

Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker Mini-Review

2012-05-25T08:52:00.003-07:00

I saw Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker at a screening yesterday. The best I can say about the film was that it was not as terrible as I thought it would be and it was more fun seeing it with an audience than it would have been seeing it alone.

It's a boring at some point and outlandish at others. But, you know that you're not getting a masterpiece. It's not about plot, or character development; it's about over-the-top battles where the lead character is violent to the point of absurdity.

The film will be out on Blu-ray and DVD on May 29, 2012. Check out their website for more information.
