Okay everyone, I need your help! When I saw that Warby Parker came out with a new Summer Collection, I thought it might be time to update my glasses. Since they are only $95 a pair including your prescription, plus one pair goes to charity for every pair purchased, I thought why not! I need your opinion of course before I send back the five pairs they sent me to try-on at home. What do you think? Which one should I choose?

Cheers to the weekend! I couldn't be happier that the weekend is finally here. Carlos has been gone all week and gets home late tonight. The week has been jam packed with Savvy in San Francisco events and school performances and I've missed my partner in crime.

On Wednesday, I went out to the Neiman Marcus Walnut Creek Spring/Summer fashion show event with AnaMaria Pimentel. She gave us a nice sample of whats hot for this summer and even glimpses of what was on the fall fashion show runways. Here is a sneak peek from the fashion show with an outfit with pops of cool blues! More to come from the fashion show next week!

This weekend I have a 1st birthday photoshoot, two birthday parties and on Sunday I will be spending the day up in the Dry Creek wine country. We will be tasting wine around Dry Creek, enjoying Aromatics & Blending Seminars and having lunch and dinner in the vineyards. Come Meet AnaMaria Pimentel at Neiman Marcus

Hey Bay Area fashionistas, come out to Neiman Marcus in Walnut Creek on Wednesday, May 15th from 1-3pm to meet Neiman Marcus' Fashion Director for Accessories, AnaMaria Pimentel, in person. She will be there to answer all of your questions about what accessories are so right now for Spring/Summer, but also what she has seen at all of the fashion shows for Fall!

AnaMaria Pimentel began her career in fashion as an intern at Elle magazine under the mentorship of then-editor Nina Garcia, who Pimentel considers her role model to this day. She worked her way up to Senior Accessories Editor, later crossing over to media relations for Van Cleef & Arpels. She then traversed back to the editorial space, landing a job at Harper's Bazaar as Accessories Director, before joining Neiman Marcus in March 2012, where she hones trends into stylish, wearable looks for customers.

Savvy Summer Camp

Our first year of school is almost over for Landon! He only has one month left of Kindergarten and then he will be a first grader. I can't believe how fast this year has flown by. With graduating from Kindergarten comes a bigger question - WHAT is he going to do all summer! This is my first year of being introduced to all the summer camps that are out there for kids to keep them active and challenged during the summer months. Not only does camp give them an opportunity to make new friends and have fun and great adventures, but it gives MOMMY (aka ME) a break.

I've signed up Landon for four different summer camps that are spread out over the summer. One of those camps is Camp Galileo! I had heard great things about Camp Galileo from friends and when I checked out their website, I liked Galileo's mission - "To nurture and inspire a daring new generation of fearless innovators. They combine art, science and outdoor activities with innovative themes that inspire collaboration and team building."

I also liked that every year, Galileo introduces new themes to inspire budding innovators. Landon is so excited for the theme for the week that he is attending: Space Odyssey: Cosmic Art and Rocket Science. Even though I am a photographer, it's pretty much impossible to get all three of my kids to look and smile at the camera! It's actually easier to capture other people's children. I'm the new person there to make them laugh and capture those special smiles and giggles. But I've become the hounding paparazzi to my children. They are so tired of mommy being in their faces with her camera that I am finding it harder to capture their natural smiles and especially all at once.

Any other photographers out there that have any special tricks that work with capturing their own children?

Over here at Savvy in San Francisco we are rolling up our jeans and getting ready to relax for the weekend! This has been a jam packed week with five events in two days! Needless to say, I'm exhausted and ready to relax with the family. We are going to start of the weekend with homemade pizza and a bottle of Vouvray from one of your favorite places, the Loire Valley.

Can't wait to share more with you about all of my adventures this week with Hotel Vetta, Baby Bjorn and the Big City Moms' Biggest Baby Shower.

This weekend we are going to the Farmers Market at Marin Country Mart with friends for brunch, attending a birthday party and then having a pool/bbq birthday party for my brother at our house on Sunday.

Warby Parker - School is in Session

A couple of weeks ago, Warby Parker, drove their school bus into town in San Francisco and threw a welcome party at the Conservatory of Flowers. As a BIG fan of Warby Parker, I had to attend this event to see the school bus in person! Warby's process of trying out five pairs of glasses at home has always worked really well for me, but I thought that having all of the choices right in front of me on the bus would be great way to choose my next pair!

Warby Parker will be in San Francisco through May 12th.

We are headed home after a week in Florida for Spring Break. It's still hard adjusting to taking vacations at the designated times for Landon's Kindergarten school year.

We had a fun week full of pool time, Disney World and beach time. But we are eager to have the weekend to settle back down at home in our OWN beds! I'm kind of a big fan of returning on a Friday from your vacation instead of Sunday. It gives you two days to unwind and get ready for the week ahead.

Will I see any of you at the Jouer Cosmetics event at Nordstrom in Walnut Creek? What are your plans for the weekend?

One of my favorite makeup brands, Jouer Cosmetics, is having a beauty trend show this Saturday at Nordstrom in Walnut Creek. They will be there all day giving complimentary beauty applications by Jouer stylists who will be showing you how to enjoy pops of pink for Spring. Christina Zilber, Founder and Creative Director of Jouer Cosmetics, will be at Nordstrom at 8am for a personal appearance. I will be there in the afternoon to check out all of their newest products with a couple of my girlfriends (making a girls day out of it - shopping, makeup and sushi). InstaFUN with Instax Mini 25

I purchased myself a fun little Christmas present last December and I've been having fun with it ever since! I bought the Fujifilm Instax MINI 25 Instant Film Camera (White)partially for the nostalgia for Polaroid cameras, but mostly for the fun!

At $85, I don't mind letting the kids use the camera as well. They love that it produces a picture instantly and they get to watch it develop by shaking it. There is something to be said during a time when most of our pictures are digital and sit in a virtual "pile" on our computers. They love to have and hold the pictures that I take or that they take. The film is on the expensive side at $1.00 a picture, but worth it for the instant satisfaction!
