She was looking helpless, yet trying to hide her fear

She had tears in her eyes, yet she was looking for a source of inspiration

She was in no mood to watch what others did

She was hurt, she was emotional, she was feeling lonely, she was disregarded yet she was smiling to cover up her own fear, and had tears wiped behind her glasses over eyes, helpless!

Raju was anxious to know who killed Indira Gandhi. He was a step ahead in knowing and understanding what was going through in Television and easily can see how his mother was disturbed, he was curious and furious and taken back what he was hearing the news on National television, 31st Oct 1984 and her mother was trying to handle her son’s unanswerable questions…… which was beyond his age. Growing up in the typical middle class, Raju was enthralled when his father brought Videocon- Color television, in 1985 by becoming the first company to bring colour TVs in India that saw numerous players like Dyanora, Weston and Onida competing in this space, of course, and made every house in India to own it as it was prime time, India was celebrating the birth of legendary serial to go on air, Ramayana and Mahabharat

With TV and Cinema being his compactable, Raju became patriotic which was influenced by another TV serial, Param Veer Chakra, an Indian serial portraying the real life of soldiers in most conspicuous bravery or pre-eminent act of valour or self-sacrifice, in the presence of the enemy, whether on land, at sea, or in the air and awarded ParamVir Chakra, India's highest military award aired on DD channel.

He learnt the fighting spirits among individual at the 1988 summer Olympics, seeing Indians playing for India, he couldn’t stop his tears when seeing his National Flag flying high and the energy booster National Anthem confirmed himself, to achieve something greater, it's only through the power of sacrifice, and love for his motherland which deep-rooted in his young mind and soul sturdily. These eventful incidents influenced him so profoundly; he wished one day he will make his mother and motherland proud!

The mobile and smartphone industry's meteoric rise has really and profoundly changed the game — it's time to 'die or die.' By 2020, 80 per cent of the world's population is expected to have access to mobile telephony, and over 60 per cent will use smartphones or low-cost tablet computers. Social networking and unparalleled access to information, such as peer-to-peer reviews of goods and services, offer consumers more control, producing more educated and demanding customers. More than 50 billion connected devices are anticipated to exist globally by 2020, with phones being the main Internet interface for most people.

Design Thinking has a lot of interest but a couple of questions remain, is it time we reinvented design? Would it be a renovation of a new organization? Transformation of production firms into consultancy strategy is a fascinating idea but one that is incredibly difficult. The word "design thinkers," which is not always the case, means that designers are craftsmen and not thinkers. In conventional design firms, it is often a stretch to focus exclusively on design thinking to solve strategic issues.

Ultimately, consumers are searching for value to display clearly, showing a price range, product quality and service tailored to their needs. They enjoy purchasing more of the goods from the firms they trust. When they have made their decision and formed a partnership with an insurance company, they expect their needs to be met by the goods and services of the insurer — and through their channel of choice. In this context, we are introducing a new methodology – also called "Human-centered design thinking" – focused on having a detailed understanding of what consumer expectations are from various points of view – cognitive, psychological and behavioural. In an iterative process of experimentation, ideation, rapid prototyping and testing, design thinking will help to construct an environment that is meaningful to the individual involved, one that seamlessly blends individuals, processes and objects' physical and digital experiences. Design thinking is not as easy as integrating a collection of methods or tools; rather, it is a mentality that relies on all these components' interaction.

TedxLavelleRoad - Legacy- Final Countdown

Migraine to my side, I felt my day is going to collapse as in general, I can't tolerate it when it hit me. Stood under the shower to relax while hot water springs, yet saw no improvement. Upon Breakfast, I stood myself in 104 and started visualizing the entire event based on my past day experience. Took simple dress to impress me and checked out at 9.15 AM to St. Joseph Auditorium, reached at 10 AM and happen to saw crowd already making their way onto the stage and my heart started beating fast and furious!!

Amma and Lakshmi got confused and roaming without knowing the exact address where they left from hotel and i joined them on spot. After 1 hour of confusion, they found a seat at the rear and sat watching the inaugural Talk and I sat in 2nd row which was preserved for Speakers. My Talk was at 2nd List at 12 PM, last before we depart for lunch!

Learning on spot was something I used to make it a habit as my mind captivate on something which I inspire and I go along with the flow for a while before I perceive its Good and my Mind was really not allowing me to do the way I planned yet my inner voice was tempting myself when I kept listening all speakers one by one

Mr.Etinne evolved us on sharing his experience with moving around India and learning from them and being alone, I found how on earth was possible for an outsider enjoying the true spirits being in INDIA.

Time moved out and it was 12.15 PM, anchor called me out my name to go backstage and prepare myself. I saw amma and went ground below the stage where I was quickly grasping last-minute preparation and all was thinking myself, Its a grand stage and I must communicate my best by controlling my Heartbeat which was beating fast than normal.There I am on the grand stage of all where innovations were spoken with guts and glory, the audience were in dark as lights off and stod on the signature RED spot of TED TALK

My 1st slide was Inspiring 2 Inspire which I had it in my mind while preparing slides which I almost I took 1 month to create a story-line and followed by infamous dialogue from 3 idiots which shook audience pulse on improvising my talk and went on ti moving around my prepared slides and research work which I implemented. I was stammering at one point too but was able to bounce back with mt way of expressing which ended with food for thought in Kannada as I wanted to make statement in my mother tongue on a wider stage of all to inspire all my Kannadigas and above all. love towards my soil

Drawing true inspiration from my childhood experience and connecting dots , talk on Virtual reality being implemented at PESITM went all rise with my explanation on how Earthly Gods might 0have used invisible VR into their observation and ends well

Safin, the man behind Tedtalk vowed me and said, Arvind that was a perfect way of ending the with an appropriate example and I was on HIGH. Lakshmi smiled at me and said Anna, you rocked and amma just smiled, enigmatically. At lunch few spoke about VR and its impact in general and exchanged my opinion on which they were bewildered

Post lunch we were diagnosed with a bunch of other speakers who enthralled us with their ingenious ideas to which we went fida! Rest assured the day came to an end with a great applaud from the team who dared the odds and made it possible.

We signed off with bunch of smiles and thanked everyone who gave me an opportunity and came hotel with amma and Lakshmi

Since in any TEDTALK, we weren't allowed to photoshoot nor video, was waiting for them to share video and on Jan 24th 2018, I received my official TED TALK video and made public with surprise and shared the same with my college authorities who weren't knowing what I was about to create history in going on with TED TALK which was not so encouraging even after sharing and couldn't encash on bigger scale in promoting with my consensus and resigned from PESITM on 26th Jan 2018!!

Ted Talk- The Legacy( Day Before Event)

With amma on board i took Airavata to Bangalore on 8th night at 10.15PM and reached Hotel Royal at 5AM, Lakshmi joined us at 7AM. As decided both of them enroute NIMHANS to get Feedback on amma eye surgery which happened last year and its been 1 year by now. At 10.30AM i was been hired Ola by Ms.Aditi -Hospitality Volunteer at Ted X. As we are wheels on go, we kept talking on Education and Bangalore before we reach Oyo townhouse, Indiranagar. Upon arriving i was greeted by Sancheeta and Mythri who happens to be Main Pillar in organizing the event ,exchanged Hi ..Hello and i was given Room No 104 to accommodate myself till tw 9AM, tw

I was told to wait till 2.30PM as the curation process was going .I was at Room trying to relax and my heartbeat wasn't co-operating to relax. Was watching Rustom on Cable Network and suddenly i heard door bell and meet Mytrhi and said, yes all set .. Would you like to meet Speakers up? with anxiety we marched towards 3rd floor and their found 10 speakers in a room talking as if they know to each other well before, i wasn't knowing what to do than shook hand by saying, Hello my name is Arvind Mallik and eventually everyone got up and greeted me with due respect. I sat at a corner where 2 High Profile people were immersed in agriculture and i turned myself in listening and questioning and thus i broke ice in making myself conformable with them.

Got fascinated with 2 strong women who were talking and shared my VR concept to them . We started sharing how Artificial Intelligence can change the world and thus our talk continued till 4 pm, with Potholeraja( Mr.Pratap) we moved out to Lavelle road for rehearsal from 4-6 PM.

While we were trying to learn the stage, i was taken aback silently and was feeling stage by-self which i generally do when i am on stage and was having my own self. Few started asking- Hello Sir, is this your 1st Ted Talk ? How you feeling? i felt real strange but i guess this is the way to break anyone silence talking to stranger rather being aloof.

It was time and have to get back hotel as planned for Gala Dinner. amma and laxmi was very curious but was getting late and being weekend, it was hell bent traffic choke, nevertheless was able to drift apart. Left hotel again at 8.30PM with simple plain white shirt upon Jeans and allowed myself wonder again in the midst of traffic to reach saffina Plaza where amma and laxmi was waiting!

Both waved hands as i meet my family waiting and was excited to see them happy( it was the very 1st time i took both of them to attend a gala dinner and for any such BIG ceremony), Was late night and i was engaged with them being as close as they never thought, amma was on cloud nine and bubbling in her favorite sari and sister was in her best Kafatenne Top. We started our dinner together and i was looking for a curator who can guide me the process of presenting my idea Tomorrow which was about to change in mins, Unaware of future, i was having food and off late Someone requested to join for food, we said, Your most welcome

I was boiling out when clock started ticking 10PM and was in hurry to send amma and laxmi back hotel . Took Auto for Rs.150/- and said adios. Went directly and meet the curation process to make my presentation more agile and their i got struck in my chord!

After curation, i just had 3 words for me ... what 2 do!!!!!!

The way curation got my real nerves, i got any opportunity to understand how presentation must feel like and how Ted evaluate speakers presentation, he shared me meaningful insights on what must go in power point and what not, i shall be obliged in understanding and reshaping my own thinking and kept wondering how on earth i am gonna change my presentation which was already 11 PM. I was totally devastated and had only 2 choices,

1. Neglect Curator guidance

2. Try motivating myself in the midst of Confusion and reshape my .ppt what i have been taught

I chose 2 and kept wondering how i am gonna do it, my mind swirl around to question my own ability, I was left in no man land had its own time to say, hey arvind its already 11.30 PM. After waiting for organiser to have their own time, I left Hotel to reach 12.30 AM. Requested Hotel staff to lend me Computer to use for presentation and happen to spend next 30mins in preparing new presentation based on Curator input ( Prepared 33 slides and slashed it to 21) by keeping main Text format. Mailed .ppt to organiser and logged out to Room No 104.

Upon rehearsing mentally, i was apprehensive on how changes will reflect my presentation and for moment onward, Fear housed my ability and i dusted to painful sleep which has its own plan for better tomorrow

Ted Talk- Crossroad

..........I Was preparing myself for presentation, i was blown away seeing speaker list ,BharatRatna Prof.C N R Rao was on list and i was on Cloud nine already. I couldn't be happy so much than hearing and started feeling goosebumps. My life would become blessed if i can touch his feet and get his advice ,while he speaks on Ted Talk. I was too excited to share stage where his voice can impact all of us and i was one of the biggest admirer of his work which took him onto the stage of honoring India's Top Medal, BharataRatna.

It was 1 month thereafter i started to visualize myself standing in front of crowd and made a serious attempt in getting Live inspiration from watching Ted Talk everyday whenever i get a chance, if i am in college or at home.I spent my time in learning basics etiquette of telling story by observation. Well, i always observe and keep observe on how things works so as i can be totally motivated psychologically.. Keep your mind open for new ideas to pop up

As days passed by Official@Ted released our 1st set of speaker line for the grant event on 10th Dec, 2017 and was excited to learn from them my name (Photo) came closer with BharatRatna Prof C N R Rao and i took it has my blessings whom i admire the most. In fact i shared my concern to place him always at the top of helm in branding the event as he will be Tallest among 130 Crore Indian's and they agreed to do it from next

I kept my momentum and never over stated myself to anyone expect sharing news to my frens, on FB, Wassap and Informed to College, PESITM. Quiet a handful people kept me in tact every time
when i meet them and they used to graciously ask how am i doing with preparation and i used to say, Its on!!

On my storyboard, After careful thinking and many failure attempts on finding true vision on how i must create a Power point presentation. I decided to look back myself and paused for few days to think not to over play. My idea went back to 2010 and i still remember How movies inspired me since childhood. 3 Idiots was one among the movies which gave me total push in thinking what do i do than what i want to be.

Watching TedTalk and preparing slides was my 1st priority and pushed beyond my comfort zone as i was in love with what i was about to do and i want to give my best shot. Starting with quote and ended with n finest my own quote. Let me tell you crazy thought while i was preparing slides, i began preparing my slide with Conclusion and kept preparing my slides backwards:-)

While preparing my talk, i meet with fatal news of my grandmother died in an accident which took me no where else, i was thrashed to dungeon and lost. She was everything to me despite she broke us and kept herself alone far away in CKM,i became to suppress myself when i saw her body. I was shaken and my tears never slowdown in controlling. A lesson learnt was, We think we got plenty of Time, Time flies in the midst of Blink and i became more philosophical then itself. Death of My Little Sister and my own Amma, gave me different state of mind. Loss of Mother got reflected on my presentation too as i started to became more silent and kept going deep down myself while i never shared my worry with None, in fact people whom i kept banking they turned deaf ear but they kept me occupied honestly

Took it to 35 Slides/15mins as i found myself better in navigating and move faster while presenting and day came when i kept maneuvering my own draft and presentation for better improvement. Thus,i shared my final Slides it looked like this

Ted Talk @ TedxLavelleRoad- Preface

Its been while i didn't checked mail and was just browsing my inbox in search of what and who has sent any mail and found remarkably a mail from TedTalk. I wasn't determined to read, but a cautious effort made me check anyhow

While i thought it would be SPAM Email but i was little skeptical in knowing more, as and when i opened my email and started gigging around the name a mail from TedxLavelleroad,

wow i smiled to myself and was too curious in reading email and my eyes never stopped thinking, was this email to me? is it me ? and i couldn't believe my own eyes what i was witnessing .

Here is the email sent to me as I was taken back for a second once i finished reading email and felt sense of satisfaction. I replied being happy and thanked them in noticing my work on implementing some of the worlds best teaching methodology in MBA and especially introducing Virtual Reality into MBA which got me in to stand in red spot, Ted Talk

I had 2 months to prepare myself for the Biggest Event of my life and wanted to give my best nothing than Best and left with uncounting questions which started swinging in my mind, some of them are?

1. What do i talk?

2. How am i going to express?

3. What must be the content?

4. How to make an effective pitch?

A lot have been said before on sharing the grandest stage on earth sharing, you gotta be the best on stage while sharing idea, not been judged by our own instinct. I took few days to calm down and be myself and started questioning myself

1. Why i have chosen?

2. What i am now?

3. Have i changed after hearing TedxLavelle Road?

4. Speaking on TedX,Will it make any difference to me?

Stuck with my way or other way, i was confused while i cared to make distinctive way, Took sometime off from myself, upon soul searching i figured out as on what i must be doing rather what i am gonna do it and i freeze myself to make a deep impact on the way i believe in the way i kept believing since 2011.

Also, getting call from TedxLavelleRoad officials, i must make sure i make them proud by giving my best to presentation. It resonate being different as my nature in revolutionizing Indian Education suits me to the Theme of TedxLavelleroad, Dare the odd

Took a shot at myself and shared the best news to my mother and with a surprising note on her face and said , yenuuuuu what ted? what is ted talk? who is ted? :-)

Upon briefing her the utmost importance of TedTalk, i asked her to come along with me to watch how it looks like and obvious, who doesn't like to invite a mother when her son is on the grandest stage of all time, Ted Talk. Apprehensive,later she agreed to come along with Laxmi( Younger Sister( whom i later invited her to join too.

And thus, my journey of swirl questions started haunted me in preparing the best presentation on Virtual Reality and i was on High, so High!!!!

Soul Searching Delhi Visit, The concluding

Finally, the day came to make my College, My state name Proud

It was time to wrap up, with Nehru Suit of my body i left in hurry to main road where Rachansri was waiting in Uber, gosh i was already 15mins late. She greeted me with long face as i was late and i cut sorry. She was looking pretty beautiful in her Long Light pink gown with white feather coat to cover her up with Delhi Chill

After 45mins of long ride on Delhi road, we found our destination and floated back to Radisson Blue Plaza Lounge and registered. We were escorted by Event organiser to table which was very closer to stage and settled

I sat legitimately by observing how an Event was organised, it was well planned and artistically executed in a way which has huge potential to attract everyone. Delegates started coming down and took their position. I eventually got my nerves On and introduced myself to the delegates who sat next to me in Grey and Navy Blue Suit( looked like High Profile) and a decent look on face, they were Three. Was surprised to hear as they have been shortlisted as Upcoming Hospital in Ahmadabad.

We finished our Program and said bye to the hall where i dropped Rachana to her house and promised to meet in evening to do some street shopping, which Delhi is famous for. Did some purchasing and had good dinner, while i discussed her exams and next future plans.. as she was so energetic in sharing what she believed in and i was just listening with empathy to listen herself.

Nevertheless, the next day i took my flight from Delhi and dropped down to Kempaegowda Airport , Bangaloruu and i said myself to Delhi... Hum Phir Melagae dost

After running through Delhi Cold Night My Airtaxi guy safely dropped me to Vardhaman Inn Near Karol Bagh@10PM, Mr.Rakesh Jain welcomed me with 101 room and I was lead to peace distortion mood as power Trips happened frequently which annoyed and Jain, promised me to get me a new room next day with Oyo assurance. despite power fluctuations, room was tidy and neat, Bathroom was clean. As it was night, I ordered North Thali from a menu for Rs.250/- and slept with a hope for better tomorrow as Rachna will be my guide to tour Delhi as she got big surprises tomorrow

Rachna, Rachansri is an Engineering Student and Currently getting Trained for IAS in New Delhi for 2015 exam. She is an extraordinary Bharatnatayanam Dancer or more every one of the, a Wonderfull talented soul who doesn't demonstrate her self-image nor mentality. I know her since 2012 and from that point forward I was in contact with her and family. With heaps of regard for her life and Dance, I began calling her as Putti, younger Sibling!

With hot water to bathe, my 1st day at Delhi was very much thrilled when I stepped out of Delhi, I left my place at 9 AM and started walking down the lane where I was supposed to meet Putti, she gave me direction and I pulled extra mile to walk just to have a glimpse of early Delhi and it was Cold. She waited for me in the other way and I was wondering in a different way ( Road misplaced) but found big Hanuman Statue nearby to see and said, Jai Hanuman u there!!!

Found Rachana waiting as she looked the same I saw her in 2014, charming yet humble. We greeted each other and exchanged our smile and went on walking towards Metro, Thrilled to walk around Metro and she took and taught me every single aspect of Metro Railway( starting from Collecting Prepaid card to pass along to railway terminal, how to stand in metro, how to wait in queue and how to read station while travelling).As it was my 1st experience, I was very anxious to learn without shame in telling her, I am new and don't know anything... Pls guide me!

Our first visit was obvious, the Red fort which was truly inspiring for a person like us who love great History of India, if I wouldn't have taken BE(Civil), sure it was BA( History) would be my best pick as I love listening more about India. Due to Republic Day, high alert was declared and security check at every point of Khilla was triggered and we both happened to get 2 tickets to dive in the Mughal World of history and straight head to Museum of Great Indian Independence era

We both witnessed the enigma of struggles of our ancestor who stroked themselves in giving us a free share of freedom to live and lead. Spending nearly 2 hours in Indian Museum gave us a perfect visualization of how our Freedom struggle really took place and who were those people who made it possible. We both started asking questions to each other like a student and tried answering with little knowledge of what we have learned from HighSchool.off course History was my all time favorite Subject and it made us involve every bit of knowledge we shared and learned. Such a nostalgia and I urge you allIto visit once to Museum for not to kill time but understand what is the sacrifice did our ancestors gave and what we are trying now which makes your soul complete in appreciating the real hard work of our Indians.

The time was 12:30 PM and running fast, We thus grabbed cup of coffee and moved on to watch Emperor Darbar, Mumtaz Mahal( Emperor Wife) is also called Jewel Palace/Museum, Khas Mahal which gave us the real indication of how our Mughal Ruler was playing Political Guards and their lifestyle, really magnificent. We were so involved in learning by observing various forms of living statues of their own dresses, utensils, weapons, books, wearing accessories were restored with an intention to give us glimpse of making our history re-born. Moved on back to gate through Chatta Chowk Bazar, purchased few rings/bags/chains to my sister and gave a gift to Rachana too as the quality and artwork were splendid.We moved to back gate by lifting our head and said again, I will be back!

En route to the main entrance and was thinking What Next and hit by a strange thought of taking Rickshaw(Old Delhi is a house of Rickshaw) and he showed us the way of crowded Delhi, Oh Gosh it was a nightmare of how people move from one place to other in a thick crowd.Took stop at Parantha Galli,had jelab hi and visited few clothes shop and jewellery stores,We acknowledge the true spirits of Old Delhi at Chandini Chowk on Quality and Quantity upon Price too and took us for Gali Gali and wondered how on earth was possible for these shops to organise e themselves especially carrying Electric lines and was featured in BBC too!!

Time 3.15PM and decided to turn our legs to Jama Masjid on Rickshaw, Jama Masjid, The Masjid-i Jahān-Numā, commonly known as the Jama Masjid of Delhi, is one of the largest mosques in India. Found spectacular vision of Red fort from Masjid and place my record as it's bigger than big which i never experienced. Stood for a while and paid Rs.250/- to rickshaw walla and returned back on Metro to buy some clothes for Amma and Lakshmi

Time 4.30PM and guess what, we were in the place where without bargain no one passes by and I learned how our business people make money in selling clothes and wondered how could they loose for few? was able to draft my answers with Rachana as we both flown back to Gaffar Market the place to shop. It was a straight lane full of Shops who are not selling less than margin and its amazing to see how variety cloths sold for minimum prize with price warranty being addressed, with her assistance and bargaining skills, I pulled 2 over coats, 2 tops, 2 Pants, stalls and shrug which was on demand orders from my sister, and Rachana brought few for herself

We were still out of time and it was chill, Rachna was in hurry as she wanted me to take for India Gate, I was too thrilled to see her enthusiasm in giving me a glimpse of Delhi but time slipped away and we took auto, settled near Gaffar Market in Karol Bagh which again was super bargain place to buy almost everything, we walked together, talking about everything casually and commenting on roadside vendors. I kept talking in Kannada and bargained in my native language, Rachana was like, sir. Nev uu uu aaa:-)

I back home with a sense of satisfaction, Left Putti in the rickshaw, after having good dinner at the Southern Hotel which she paid:-)as I watched her going I remained a quote of how some people never change even when time slips away from us.Back hotel I kept my gifts in different bag by separating whom and to whom I should give away and slipped on bed for tomorrow event as putti booked Uber at 9.30AM

A Soul Searching Delhi Journey Part-1

Amma used to tell me, Raju, I want to fly once in flight, it was your father dream who wanted me to take me up but Couldn't. Amma's dream of flying high kept listening so attentively which has become one in me and i believed bringing happiness in amma's face will make me Happy!!

Days passed, Years rolled onto his side and my dream was still hoping for daylight!!

Jan 2017 looked sparking as I was shortlisted for Prestigious Quality Excellence Award from India Prestigious Marketing Research company, Praxis Media and I was taken back by tons of surprises. when i heard the news . I shared the same with Amma and told amma... here I am and my dream which was hidden years together was feeling good as taking amma on Flight would be my happiness but Sharing happiness was restricted to few minutes as Amma was under medication ( undergoing Kidney stone removal) and happened to be at home. My eyes became bleak and I sat on a couch making myself uncomfortable. My dream of taking amma on clouds remained distant dream yet again as amma told me, its better you take flight to Delhi alone:-(

I wasn't Clear on how I need to explore Delhi, it was a distant dream for an ordinary person to flew on a flight when no opportunity aroused as neither I took anything for holiday nor flew on work! It was an Award ceremony back to Capital and was thinking to drop me accepting Award, flip side thought of participating. Perplexed but decided to Fly.

As it was my maiden air flight thought of not getting into online rather was looking out for an institute who can help me in getting air tickets and boarding and found Pravarah Holidays at Shimoga and Indigo will taking me to Delhi and Go air will safely land me back from Delhi to Bangalore on 19th to 22nd Jan,2017 staying in Vardhman Inn Hotel with OYO affiliated, a total of Rs.11k was spent on travelling and boarding for 3 days. For an ordinary person spending 11k is like a month salary but given the fact I would improve as a human being, investing on oneself is better to than losing for no purpose, took a giant leap forward in soul searching in Delhi!

We called Shakeranna to be with amma while she needs to get operate for removing her renal stent which will take a day spent at hospital and amma insisted removal on the day of my departure to Delhi ( her date was due on 19th Jan 2017). Woke up on 19th Morning ammana kalegay namaskara madi i took Intercity train to Bangalore at 1 pm, after meeting a special guest and meeting my good old MBA classmate Vivek at Chickjajur near yelanka, Bangalore, Vivek is my MBA classmate who studied with me at MIM who is not only a friend but a true inspiration to me. He became the first entrepreneur straight passing out from college despite losing one year he showed us the integrity of taking risk and making it big( till then we so called marks worm were busy in working for someone). He owns MRF showroom in Yelakana and he is the same old guy with lot of humbless. Discussed few matters on professional and Personal, took a hot Coffe Sip and he dropped me at Kempegowda International Airport.Bangaloruu

Moved straight to entrance and I entered airport by showing my ID proof, was shocked to see the big crowd waiting at lounge, with the assistance of IndiGo Kiosk I got my boarding pass and went to get my bag weighed which ran only 7 kg( max 15kg allowed), upon receiving boarding pass I was instructed to pass security check for Gate-3, got my direction and went on to 1st floor and there i go... watching people with big faces i got confused, I later inquired with a fellow passenger about next step as I was in gate-2 security check place and he told, guess you are in wrong place. I swiftly moved back again to meet Airport authority to confirm my mistake, stepped down and asked politely about my failing to understand which way, they told plsguided me back to the same place and search for Gate-3 and I got

Upon Security check, I was observing how people behaving and acted accordingly, passed security check and moved to Gate-3 for boarding which was in ground floor and happened to suit myself in recognizing myself better at this time without anyone help:-) Happened to spot a place and stood as my flight boarding was delayed till 6 pm and my watch told me, hey Arvind wait for another 30 minutes more, enjoy watching and I did actually observing people behaviour, their attitudes, dress sense, how busy someone and how busy in ignoring others, Smart Guys, sexy girls in attractive way, kool watches,Perfect shoes, gripping Apple Mobile phones, headphones on lingering music, young, old, fathers, lovers, parents, couples, foreigners, business partners, sports players waiting for next flight and wondered how Technology made life simpler while not forgetting to all of us to connect, unconditionally. Truly remarkable!

My journey started while I passed onto Gate and entered Bus which tooks us to flight and thus my 1st ever experience of watching flight nearby took me lit up my ignited mind in thinking, wow that's amazing and my rational mind started questioning, how on earth is possible to make Airplanes so small( I had illusion of airplanes to be gigantic and bigger than small). My way cleared to entry flight entrace with 2 gorgeous airhostesses welcoming us with a big smile . looking people sitting just like in ordered, I looked at my seat 21F,window seat and sat with 2 men sitting next to me!

Took assistance from my fellow passenger how to buckle seat belt as he said, it happens for 1st time travelers his name was Mr. Sriharsha from Mysore traveling to New Delhi for an official meeting. Air hostess turned on us to explain safety measurement, 3 girls from Assam, Hubli, and Bangalore were accompanied us in sharing safety tips/informartion on bewerages,eateries and Captain bounced back and said, ladies and gentlemen, we are ready to take off. Slowly aircraft with its heavy body started moving at snail speed and at one moment it took us for a Ferrari speed on ground touching in minimal time to lift its weight from and now its true, yes i was already on air.

I was on cloud9 to experience never before like this in my life as aircraft took us under her shadow, I was able to see Bangalore from top view and was eager to look deep as Indigo took us far above clouds with an effect and I was thrilled out by believing how on earth was possible for a person like me to enjoy? allas it was choice i took in in accepting Award. Amma told me get some chocolates as i and amma were under a great illusion of free chococ available and was surprised as everything was paid even chocolates( i had belief and thought would bring lot of chocolates from an airplane and give it to amma, which she expressed her desire to eat airplane chocolates) but I was wrong as while relaxing with a sip of water( Free only) made me consume myself better.Everything was switched off, My mobile and headphone but my right brain had different plan of thinking on my own emotions and paid well to express myself in a sheet of paper about how I feel when moving upon clouds and thus i wrote small poem

Felt relaxed and just Staired at outside empty night sky and Delhi came nearer, Looked like I am in the pool of stars of a galaxy, She looked stunning bright with a beam of lights erupting at a speed of light and landed on Capital. I took SriHarsha assistance in understanding how can we get our luggage and he rightly showed me the way in a terminal and told me to take AirTaxi to Hotel.8.15PM we were on Terminal-1 and took my language, Shook my hands with Harsha by letting my visiting card to be in his pocket and for Rs.300/- I took my first Airtaxi to Karol Bagh where I have booked my hotel which stays near to Rachnashree!

My Autobiography- Why/How/What makes me Question?( till PUC)

Hi Spo,

When i was 3 year, we had our DC doddappa( Late Sri.Umapathi.Tiptur) who used to come home and used to take me for ride and i always was intrigued by his Pen in shirt pocket. I still remember i was on his shoulder and suddenly wiped his Ink pen( my 1st love for ink-pen initiated) and he said one sentences which even now my mother hums... raju likes pens alot.. may be one fine day he will become good writer or be in a field where writing is much anticipated

After 14 years

I was in 9th standard@SVEHS,Shivamogga and worried on something very desperately and asking many questions regarding government works as my father who was into quality inspection of roads and busy in filling up records on one fine day.

he replied- look boy your still young and shouldn't ask too many questions which i cannot answer at one go, its better i will tell you everything later and i kept quiet. As promised he told me what and how he works and what his expectation out of his work.

Being ignorant and abruptly i asked - why cannot you make proper roads? why government keeps digging roads during rainy when people fall victim of accident which makes public uneasy every time on every year,Being anguish, i went to his room, stood near window and asked why cannot i be a Scientist and find out how to make ever lasting impressions on how we construct road?? can we not make a permanent with less faulty roads by saving lots of government money????

Smiling my father replied- this is how it works, diplomatically and went out

( I guess this provoked my little mind not opting any government jobs nor expect anything from them as i believe true change can bring effectively with open mind)

Since the day i wanted to be Scientist, i started asking many many questions on HOW IT WORKS and was fascinated by its answers,because i somewhere read more you ask more you get

Unlike in my studies i was always fascinated by Social Studies- Subject being taught my Pramila Madame and how can we forget the way she used to brief us our Indian History. Now one thing bang on me was We never knew what and how it happened ( past) and we can always question on why, how, what, which, when history has happened and i guess by which i started thinking critically on why it should happen like this way till 10th std to which i am very grateful and think always is there a better way of making things happen?

I even believed if we take a chance and challenge the status quo, we may get what we asked. Flip side, i even challenged my 2nd yr PU students who were very busy in getting onto tutions to get 80% marks and they did it, I tasted Mr.Viswanathiaha for Chemistry( he was popular during 1990s) and can come out in 1 class or study on your own and score 60% and then i challenged to folks and to myself

I was determined to get only 60% in PUC but not going tutions and i managed to get 2% less than my expectation with no Back, Yes to the world i was weak, sober and less intelligent but to me was self conquering my own fear of thinking like normal and follow crowd and by going against the rule book which i thought i accomplished but never knew i had big failure waiting me to hug and say you lost again!!!

I showed my results to my Parents and Amma was very cheerful as i her son managed to get through PUC without being fail but my father had worries as he was thinking how on earth i would be getting merit seat in Engineering with this score?( 1998, VTU came into force in Karanataka with Strict regulations and high expectations)

Being Engineer he was always fascinated with Maths in his own way but became sad after seeing my report.I read his mind and managed to pull my plug and said Ok Papa i will make you Happy and promise you i shall score better marks in next attempt and reject 1 year to make my marks which suits your expectation( i scored 37* Marks in Mathematics which was just pass during our days).I knew if i reject what will be my condition... how society will put me in dustbin,,, i also knw My Friends and batch mate will go one step ahead of me and join some of the brightest and happiest Engineering/Degree colleges and i will keep watching them growing with blink of eye

This energy is negative but it has continued even till now, i do many things which makes other very happy and say NO to their request as i believe making or creating someone happy from i being loss will eventually lead them satisfaction ( i may be emotional but its fact) even till now and have gone to sacrifice my wellness to many people who walked down and thrashed me by requesting what i offer them.

I stared at myself and without Second Thought i gace rejection application to DVS composite college with fear in my eye and losing my 1 precious year but was very determined to do .....so to make my father happy.

Prologue,

Its been 5 year in the institute working as Faculty and i was always amazed at the Technology innovation at teaching level which is way below normal and i consider my intuition really did some sense in highlighting the importance of bringing them closer to all new level

Well, i often interact with Industry executive and have a sense of deep observation on how can we integrate Technology into my Teaching and thus, i looked up greater transparency and is there anyway i bring on the Best Industry Executive at my Teaching Level, without compromising my Classes and at the same time i connect students community, answer was

Date- 26/10/16 was special as at 3rd sem MBA@PESITM were able to distinguish our method of Teaching with respect to rest .I am Thankful to Mr.Laxmikanth Sugandhi. General Manager- Business Development.Group Pharmaceuticals,Gujarat sparing his precious Time to spend with us in exchanging Knowledge and sharing his experience on how Consumer Behaviour adopt new change . I was able to introduce one of the Finest Teaching Innovation( Subject Consumer Behavior) which can spark big revolution in the way we teach and learn. we were happy as our students were able to experience World Class Teaching,

Initially i was very skeptical in sharing this idea to my subconscious mind and somehow i really not sure, a chord strucked to my mind as i felt let me introduce the best Teaching innovation which i thought about in PESITM. In reality i prepared for myself for the mega initiative 2 weeks prior working hard on how to learn.Let me be very honest, i never knew how to connect Skype and how it works, i sat on my computer and worked hard in learning how to make it happen, in this journey Mr.Dishanth ( my student) helped me in making this work happen. I kept very secret to others on what we are working and how we are working

How it works

1. Subject chosen for VR Pilot study was Consumer Behavior, 3rd sem VTU

2. Sub-topic, Perception was noted to initiate this new Teaching Methodology

3.It used only to ascertain measurement of how VR can make a difference in its introductory class of Consumer Behavior- Perception

4. Faculty picked up few volunteers to experience the world class education and asked student to wear a head mounted display (HMD) for interaction – within a virtual environment and experience personally while Tutor keeps explaining the CB concept live to class

Its been quiet while, i was awestruck ed with the imagering how VR can be totally benefited for our Society, it has the power to change the way we take decision, glad i am one of those who tried experimenting the VR in my class successfully which will be again followed by MOB, Nov 2016

on 28th October, i was able to break the ice in showing few real time example in VR how it can connect with different fields without even knowing the reality, how on earth VR can make a difference. Few of my students understood few may not but i shall leave with a note, try experimenting even if its crazy.. people will laugh but yes they will be surely ignited to do something even greater in life when their own life throws big question on how to make a difference, i want them to turn around their learning at my classes and if moved by it..i will be glad to make a impact on their mind

Futurstic Education- Virtual Reality in MBA@PESITM

In my previous blog i initiated a futuristic learning which is the most sought out after implementing ICT. Today i try to share you the process of how i am going to implement the most advanced method of Teaching and Learning which intrigue us the most and make us speechless, Virtual Reality

Prologue

There are two ways of using virtual reality in the classroom: the first involves a traditional desktop set up in which the student explores a virtual environment using a computer, keyboard and mouse. Or use some other input device, e.g. controller (similar to the Wii remote controller).

There are 2 methods in implementing VR into actuals

1. A Computer based simulated 3D environment in which the participation interacts with a virtual World. Only in VR can the learner enter a virtual world and feel an object, move it and measure it movement

2. The second set up is fully immersive and requires the student to wear a head mounted display (HMD) and data glove – for interaction – within a virtual environment. This environment may take the form of a series of large screens or a complete CAVE virtual reality system.The fully immersive set up will include a tracking system which is included in the HMD that records and analyses the student’s movements in a virtual space. This also has an effect on what they see as any movement of their head will cause a shift in perception due to the tracking device. They will see images which show the illusion of depth that only adds to the experience.

So what we are saying is that virtual reality can be used in many areas of the curriculum. This includes maths, English, science, history, geography, languages and newer subjects such as design technology.

Students can touch and manipulate objects within a virtual environment in order to generate a greater understanding of them. But this doesn’t only apply to objects; students are able to interact with data sets, complex formulae and abstract concepts that they may have previously found inaccessible. For some students, learning by doing is easier than learning by listening

i guess by now you have understood how i think and how i manage things and above all, what makes me ticking onto something greater than purpose... us Curiosity. As Albert Einstein rightly said,

Only now has the technology become available for the average consumer as mobile phone technology has driven the price of a headset down from many thousands of dollars to a couple of hundred dollars. Advances in home computing has also had a major effect as they get faster and less expensive they can now provide realistic simulations through computer generated graphics that only 10 years ago would have seemed impossible.

Forget devices, the future of education technology is all about the cloud and anywhere access. In the future, teaching and learning is going to be social, saysMatt Britland. Infrastructure is paramount to the the future of technology in education.We don't know what the new 'in' device will be in the future. What we do know, is that it will need the cloud. Schools and other educational institutions will need to future proof their infrastructure the best they can

To introduce technology and understand its benefits, we as educators should strive hard in measuring or accessing its true potential. its imperative to acknowledge VR impact however given the possibilities of penetration is at nascent. Being curious i imagined how i can meet with my subject and i got a eureka moment

i am very fortunate enough to get back consumer Behavior subject ( despite bigger syllabus) i was planning to highlight some of the features which i imagine will be BIG HIT and thus Virtual Reality in Education hit the bug onto me. Education is another area which has adopted virtual reality for teaching and learning situations. The advantage of this is that it enables large groups of students to interact with each other as well as within a three dimensional environment.It is able to present complex data in an accessible way to students which is both fun and easy to learn. Plus these students can interact with the objects in that environment in order to discover more about them.

These reasons are why virtual reality has not been used in education until now. We are committed to changing the delivery method of education worldwide by providing the most realistic simulations possible when it comes to historic and real world events while providing an educational experience that will both educate and entertain students and get them more engaged with their studies. We aim to inspire the new generation to reach their full potential.

Importantly i am curious in learnikng how we can leverage VR into Education which needs lot pf fine tuninmg as i have launched my VR concept with Pereception ( sub chapter in Consumer Behavior) August 3rd week for my students and would like to learn from it. The Future of Learning- Flipped class room

I have been very fascinated with New way learning, be it Technology or understand how to connect dots( truly inspired from Steve jobs inspirational words of wisdom).Recent technological developments have given rise to blended learning classrooms. An inverted (or flipped) classroom is a specific type of blended learning design that uses technology to move lectures outside the classroom and uses learning activities to move practice with concepts inside the classroom. The flipped classroom, a teaching method that delivers lecture content to students at home through electronic means and uses class time for practical application activities, may be useful for information literacy instruction.

The variety of learning activities in the flipped classroom contributed to unsettledness among students that traditional classroom students did not experience. The purpose of this study is to examine how effectively students can engage themselves in learning with innovative teaching pedagogy as my results indicate that some potential benefits of the flipped classroom make it a form of education that teachers should not overlook.

Difference between Traditional and Flipped Classroom

The framework used for explaining the ﬂipped classroom typically focuses on reasons for not using classroom time to deliver lectures. As most commonly proposed for secondary education, the “flip” means moving lectures from the class to pre-class homework, while reserving class time for having students to do the problems and exercises that have traditionally been the domain of out-of-class assignments.

Actual “Flipped Classroom” is that new ICT technologies make it easy to convert instructor lectures through digital recordings and place these online for student access outside of face-to-face class time.

As a result, students can review lectures in advance of the regular class, then have class sessions for working together on the assignments that traditionally have been done as homework. Not only are students seen as gaining through working together on "homework" problems in class, but instructors are able to more quickly see where students are struggling and provide remedial support against Traditional Method

i just cannot put my words when i am sharing some unique character of my mother, its worth trying to understand about what i learnt from her in last 34 years. it cannot get me enough to write but i will take chance in explaining about my favorite Hero, my Mother

1. Being Simplicity

She carries simple life with her and have articulated to us.She likes to be as simple as such and doesn't bother about what someone talks about her.She likes to be in present life rather urging for Unknown future.She tells me, i dont like to keep things in mind before talking or doing work( in a word, she doesn't believe in too much of preparation rather believe in action). She thinks on-spot and take decision based upon what is happening rather what has happened, which sometime i do!

i believe from her stand point, i carry same wavelength of my mother, i prepare myself on those which ignites me and rest GIVE AUTHORITY to my subconscious mind to take care of it. It comes instantaneously when i think of something interesting and my Inner subconscious mind gives me what i needed the most when i try to live in present, but i wont forget to think and imagine what tomorrows going brings me!!!

2. Anger Management

On Anger, my mother has the biggest patience in this world, no matter what goes out of order,she remain composed ,doesn't get angry nor shout at anyone.She forgets her own pain by discovering this too shall pass. i have inherited the same attitude towards anger, I think i am too much in control;ling my anger and doesn't show to anyone but if it fires back, people can notice the difference.generally i understand things from other point of view and just smiles for which i have paid heavy price( personally and professionally).Unlike wasting our time on being anger which ends up in taking revenge, just improve on yourself and admit fault if done and see how best you can face the situation.Self Help books and personal loss have made me to be composed than aggressive.Yes, i will become quiet when she gets anger and shouts. so i take a timid look on not to make her anger

3.Being Arrogant

i never seen my mother being very arrogant nor rude on anyone .i never seen her talking nor taking things into her own control despite being innocent. She never tries to take a control of anyone and treats with respects which made her stand tall among others, she fights alone and know how to progress even today her charismatic of being innocent and remain silent has impressed my small mind and follow the same. The Biggest strength i seek in my mother is not success gets into your mind and i strictly follow,

4.Emotions

Every human is blessed with some hidden talents and what if we became someone else and loose what we are. Here my mother differs from everyone which i am very happy to share with you, she hides her tears no matter how deep is the pain and laughs from heart ,she laughs at no matter how deep she is in pain and agony. She tends to forget the pain and laugh by heart.If someone sees her in pain, you will never able to read her mind nor face as you can not identify what she is going through Only she knows how to conceal her unhappiness and sends happy moments to all which i have acquired over the years and have become replica of her in not showing emotions,100%

5.Unconditional helping Nature

She never think about self, when even in crisis she offers her helping had to needy who comes to her,Point to be noted as we are simple middle class family with a strong culture of expressing our concern towards needy and my amma stand tall among rest of all. Its not about talking, she believes in doing work and tell the path to follow where success is rest assured.Learnt giving back always without expectation, it shows yes we are very strong in helping when we ourself in deep sink,nevertheless i learnt, real love is in sacrifice.. giving more back to relations... helping someone when in need( not assurance, real help)

6.Health

largely been influenced by her daily routine on health,she goes fasting every Monday and doesn't have breakfast at all.She has skipped her breakfast since many many years which makes her even stronger.To my surprise, she says ironically, i will get sleep if i have breakfast yet she balances her mind and soul sympathetically an average, One and half meals she will have/day and i am just following her a lot.Skipped many breakfast,slept empty stomach(afternoon) during my early days and i don't even actually remember have i eaten full stomach. She has undergone Kidney operations ( both) in 2015 which was very tough time for me to make sure, she stays happy but not in fear. Finally she overcame and going through tough medications now

Design Thinking at MBA, PESITM

Dear Spo,

Today i am going to express myself yet another innovation secret which i have tried my best to learn by myself and executed since Aug 2014 @ MBA Dept, PESITM Shivamogga. It was 2011,while searching myself in the midst of heaps of books in amazon.in, i found the art of innovation quiet intriguing, the name itself talks about its length and breath. i added into my cart and kept quiet.

it was big time when i joined PESITM and being aggressive in reading some great books of great personality who have changed the world and i found 1 dynamic person who made everything from zero, Steve jobs, Apple

I picked Steve jobs Autobiography book to better understand him and found myself in him on creating great products and only with the help of innovation can change the world to which i am very blessed to have him as my mentor. while reading his journey i understood worlds 1st mouse was created by Apple but designed by IDEO, design consultant firm which got my nerves on when i finished reading i determined to know more about IDEO and i did too

Way back to memory while refreshing my book shelf at amazon i found a book written by "The Art of Innovation"- Tom Kelly who happens to be founding member of IDEO and was thrilled to order it.
Read it once and was totally convinced by the synergy of creating a great products and went on adding Creative Confidence book by David Kelly which changed my thinking hats. i am enthralled to learn many new things from reading these 2 books, youtube videos and website gave my imagination to experiment with One of their futuristic process which was about to hit every body mind, not now but cock sure in days to come and that is

what.. design.. thinking... how on earth is possible to design our thinking???

We never imagined intersecting design into thinking? is he talking designing a art? is he talking creating new craft or what?.Clarity was missing while reading,it took my breath away when they have initiated in IDEO and found greater impact. i was amazed to take up this idea and implement in MBA...but the big question was.. HOW?

Felt not possible and put on hold as i was busy in creating flipped classroom innovation concept to 3rd sem and wasn't in any mood to divert my energy to design thinking, kept in small room of my mind and the day just passed away without opening the big secret.Besides i wanted to try a hand on presenting a paper on international level, may be on primary investigation and i found my new love for smartphone and that's the time Samsung and Apple were on race to create big space for business. I thought for a while is there anything i can implement in MBA? and thus i found UNESCO Mobile Learning @ Paris. Even approached my college buddies Suresh and Srinivas, yes they agreed on my invitation and helped me in drafting a paper which was not accepted by them.we were dissatisfied but managed to cope whole thinking, at least we gave a damn try!!

Year 2013, launchpad One was successfully organised at MBA Dept and went on to create big in everyone eyes, at the same time my logical mind was thinking on what next? and my secret which was buried down in my memory lane took a U-Turn and asked me to experiment with Design Thinking and i made it public

Define-

Ever wondered, education today seening a paradigm change from the past to the present day, as technology advanced the education system has its own significant change. It is acquiring knowledge and sharing it with the students, but today the source through which students gather information is plenty and chances of misleading themselves is more.

Research-

I was greatly inspired from David Kelly and Tim Brown's Design Thinking initiatives; I tried my best to incorporate DT (Design Thinking) process into my teaching. Unlike analytical thinking, design thinking is a process which includes the "building up" of ideas, with few, or no, limits on breadth during a "brainstorming" phase. This helps reduce fear of failure in the participant(s) and encourages input and participation from a wide variety of sources in the ideation phases.

Ideate-

According to Brown, the design-thinking process has three primary attributes: it is human centered; it is collaborative and participatory; and it is driven by experimentation. And the process begins with a single query: “What is the question that we are trying to answer?” As Brown says, “Rather than thinking to build, build to think and in all sense gave me edge to start.

Prototype-

Introduced Design Thinking (DT) process uniquely for MBA course, which in itself is outstanding.

· Initiated BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) system in place to enhance students learning experience( Offline and Online version)

· Articulated Mobile Learning, a new teaching methodology into practice.

· Introduced a dedicated web portal for students who can learn my subjects attentively

NEW DELHI | KOLKATA: Cracking an interview and winning the instant nod of various stakeholders is no mean feat. Companies and HR directors always have a trick up their sleeve to make interview sessions grueling, and no amount of prior preparation seems to be good enough at times.

In a bid to further the cause of new hires and potential job seekers, we reached out to HR heads of various companies to compile a list of questions that can catch one off guard and queries that are new add-ons to the HR directors' lists. Read on and be surprised:

Based on what you know about us, what could we be doing more efficiently?

RAMESH SHANKAR, EVP and cluster HR head, South Asia at Siemens says he would play it safe while answering it. One could say it's not possible to say much as an outsider and what he knows is public knowledge. Another way would be to talk about new ideas that the company could look at and how the candidate can help implement them.

Rate yourself on a scale of 1-10.

A majority of candidates tend to go with a safe answer, rating themselves typically between 6 and 8. Some, who are in frontline sales etc, rate themselves higher at 9-10 . Their explanation is they have been at the top of their team and have consistently been overachieving. "To them, we ask a follow-up question: In order for you to go to the next level, what are the areas you need to develop?" says Madhavi Lall, regional head-HR , India & South Asia, at Standard Chartered Bank.

Did you think of leaving your current position earlier? If so, what has made you stay till now?

An impressive answer here would be: "I'm not actively looking out but, am open to exploratory conversations on opportunities which can help me grow my career." There are many who are quite direct as well, saying that they don't get along with their line manager/boss.

How would you evaluate your present company?

Managers say that candidates should not complain about the their current company. "Focus on your strengths and weaknesses," says Shankar. You could talk about why it is not working out for you, and why you are looking to move on.

What can you do to take your boss's job?

Managers rarely get a good answer to this one. One that would score with them would be something like "to get a job at the next level (consciously avoiding using the phrase 'boss' job' ), I'd consistently outshine in my current role while continuing to build my skillsets." "Responses which we usually get are "I don't want to do my boss's job" while there are people who say: "I think I'm better" . To the latter we ask the followup question: Then, why haven't they taken you for the next level yet?" says Lall.

If God was outside the interview room, what are the three wishes you would ask from him?

Prashant Deo Singh Head, HR & general affairs, Panasonic India, asked this question to a few candidates . "There are some people who come up with selfish responses that only concern them; others have larger goals like doing something for others. We try to evaluate the responses to gauge a candidate's philosophy in life and to see if it matches with that of the company," he says.

The Interviewer could just pick up an object, for instance a pen, and ask, how would you market it?

It shows how fast the person can think on his feet. The question is essentially targeted at a sales or marketing professional . Deo Singh says the really good candidates immediately start a selling spiel when faced with this question.

What is the wildest thing that you have done in life?

This question is asked to test the determination, passion and commitment of a person, according to Ashutosh Telang, executive vicepresident & head, HR at Marico. Responses may vary: I had a fear of heights but I overcame it by bungeejumping . Or someone who has a love for travelling might say that he/she took a break for three months and backpacked through the country. "Of course, you can also get some ridiculous responses where the person is clearly fibbing," says Telang.

What is your most embarrassing moment? How did you deal with it?

HR managers feel this question helps in understanding a candidate's ability to deal with delicate situations. For instance , this might showcase a candidate's ability to convert a potential crisis into an opportunity, they feel. The answer could be based on a personal or a professional moment but the emphasis should be on what they learnt and how they converted it into an opportunity.

For instance, an anecdote like how a candidate might have been reprimanded for not wearing the correct uniform while at school and how that taught him the importance of discipline in life.

Have you ever been approached to do something unethical at work and what did you do?

That's the trickiest question. Should you be honest? Shankar feels the candidate should have the courage to be honest. "It is okay to admit to making a mistake if the reasons given are substantial, rather than faking it. The interviewer would be quick to catch the lie otherwise," he says

Now you may think DO i sound sarcastic for enjoying pain? Way back in Engineering I still remember when i was in BE(2nd sem) was bitten with viral infection which really took my health toss for almost 3 full years and the reason was weak appetite while not taking enough good care about the quality of food i take and above all my neighbor friend who actual add viral infections got my lungs off, a friend in need is indeed:-)

Besides,students getting bike accident and they used to come with hand/leg bandage which made them star and i was thinking, when i will become star?May be not now, may be sometime later but all our wish will be granted in one or the other day and

1-4-2015, was not an exceptional day

it was 3 days back-back holiday and i was very much thrilled to have it for my personal use of solving few legal cases which really was taking my time and was planning to visit police station to rescue one of our court order.I left college at 4.55 pm and after meeting my design team from vinobha nagar, took old same road back home.Found traffic very less at Mahaveer circle and wondered whether it was Sunday or any government holiday?. I moved straight while i was in still 2nd gear of my Honda shine 125cc

I was there.. i was moving slowly.. was thinking... was just enjoying the evening greenery.. less traffic.. people are walking.. sellers were selling and i was riding bike at a slower pace very closer to divider which was very closer to Kvempu Rangamandir!

Suddenly,with heavy force a auto rickshaw came and took me along with him( my bike handle locked with his auto) i am shooting slow down slow down.. he dint mind to my words and knowingly/unknowingly he was fast and furious and i knew it well as it was happening just infront of my eyes and it was real and i was going for a

i rolled down with 3/4 rounds on the road , with a helmet on head and bag with tiffin box inside helped me to roll swiftly on ground like any movie stunt. I was right there on the moment.. it looked like black, everything just fade away, i was calm, shoot onto my mind perfectly as i was watching myself falling on road from my bike instantly, i was right there seeing myself rolling 3/4 times on road without knowing will i survive again, i was watching my own death happening right in front of own eyes, if i fall right side sure thing i would have fallen on road divider and i would have divided into one single piece. if i would have fallen left side, sure shoot if any vehicle would have passed, no one would have got my body which was suppose to be torn into many pieces which even difficult to imagine the identify, is it arvind body????:-(

after rolling, i roused up and started yelling out at him, people surrounded me up very gracefully and took me to footpath, gave water to drink( was wondered how on earth is possible to someone come and give me water when there was no way to offer me).To avoid further any complications, Traffic Police rushed and took in charge of the situation.Besides, auto guy came forward to see what he has done and started abusing me as accident happened because of me. Police head came forward and asked me if i can solve problem amicable or complaint, i was in no way to tell my decision expect lets go hospital and see what has happened me

Now the real story begins when i entered

was waiting for any doctors/sisters to come and take care but it didn't went well as expected. To them it was clear and it was an accident case and i was forced myself to think, will they allow me to do 1st hand check up without letting police to come and take charge????? well, this was the story and yes it changed now as after 10 mins i was asked to sit in casualty ward, everyone started posing their face onto me as it was an accident case its human tendency to check who and what happened and i was no exceptional.My fear got a taste of its own enemy when my BP was monitored and showed 160/110 which was quite a alarm ( i intentionally never took BP test since 2011 as i still remember my previous BP was 160/90 and i was totally afraid whether in 2015 is low or high). Doctor advised me and said, hey its ok.. BP fluctuations is normal during accidents and lets see after some more time.hearing these words i was little relaxed and sister did 1st aid which looked like this

Meanwhile, i called amma so as to tell her, will be late to home and i am in hospital and hung up.May be she sensed me what i am up to by then!Auto guy was literally begging me for not to apply any case against him, even i was frustrated to engage himself in legal fight.I see mercy in everything which makes me vulnerable every time and doesn't seem to act tough.

However, meet Dr. Sudhiendra, MD( Orthopedic), he asked me to take x-ray to understand where is the problem as i faced severe pain at my ankle. After X-ray doctor strictly advised me to go for synthetic fracture for 2 months as there was break in ankle bone which may distress in long term.

Doctor asked me to discuss with rickshawalla and come back, here the big drama was about to blowup rickshawalla started acting and begging me not to fit him for any case, rather i assured him not will not go for legal fight and asked him to pay Rs.4000/- for synthetic fracture, he became still nervous and started crying. He gave me Rs.140/- and says, i have only this much and nothing can be taken from me, pls add your money to fracture sir. I still assured him for not applying for any case but he kept on arguing with his friends and above all, he is asking me to pay??? what the heck!!!

i was on high and started shouting at him, even i was trying to convince him but i didnt had any money to pay nor my salary nor my ATM card .I wanted to go home without much medical attention but fracture on my ankle made me still nervous which took my anger burst on rickshawalla who was still opposing me for not able to pay due. My time was up and i just let him out from hospital.. once i told, he just ran away :-)

Accidentally feeling his sons pain ,my Mother came at the speed of light to hospital instantly on guess and found me lying in casualty.Strictly doctor advised me for 45 days bed rest which seems will be costly affair, nevertheless after a week i need to report him again for routine check up, let me convince him for allowing me to go for job, as he says i can ride vehicle but enough care should be taken not to press heavy while walking. May 1st i need to revisit again for examining my fracture. Being helpless my mother couldn't do anything more as i was on the verge of getting synthetic fracture and she horrified to see me in this pathetic condition for the first time, since birth and that's how i look after my leg got kissed with pink synthetic fracture!!!!!!

Spo, you know well i try to connect everything for know reasons or may not, but in my life i never ever imagined i would get accident. Few things left in my mind recurring after the crucial incident happened and i was thinking-

can you imagine me getting accident at the heart of the city?
do you imagine how would i have survived?
Does destiny was about to unfold me?
Did god punished me for not worshiping them since 5 months?
Did my life was suppose to change after this accident?
Did people got too jealous of me getting Best Techno Faculty Award, A National Prize from Govt of India organised by ICTACT, Govt of Tamil Nadu?
Did many people got frustrated on my flipped classroom article got published in Times Of India, Hubbali Edition which itself was big blow for greedy eyes?
Did this accident was an pure accident or planned accident?
Did my walking style or my shoes blow someone hard intentions?
Did accident will make me very strong in taking my life to the next level?
was it just a sample or a warning message?

What.. what... what????

My mind went on analyzing everything from good to worse and some of them were( may be true pr may be false, its just only my running thoughts which i had no control when i was laid down in hospital)

Strictly believe, yes there was a reason which i am still searching

PS- While i came back home i was in state of shock and made a serious attempt to post my injury on Facebook, in fact i didn't wanted to post any such negativity which i am always opposed but when i heard my department(MBA) it made perfect sense to post as i knew people over their will never believe in what i say. GMS was on call, ringing to get information on Industrial visit which we have planned for 1st year students and he was surprised to hear my status. later i requested my mother to call HOD and inform about my status and to my surprise he asked us to send a letter,disappointed by hearing still managed to send him mail explaining my situation and few photos to him and HR.( later when i went to college, my respect took u-turn and i was deeply disappointed with the way i was ill treated )

Hi Spo,

Back in the hotel, we suited up, and by 3.15 PM we were in Chennai Trade Centre. Bid farewell to khader, the cab driver and headed to the entrance.Mr.V.Balkrishnan Ex-CFO,Infosys was watching us from a distance, glad to have seen him in person I met few ICTACT officials and after introducing ourselves we were given our respective name tags and were invited for lunch.. After lunch we made ourselves comfortable at the ICTACT Bridge conference (which was running at the other side of building. )

ICTAT coordinators assisted me and requested us to joinany one of the next conferences. Sitting with Amma I listened to few speakers talkingabout streamlining digital media,Oh Boy, the experience was just amazing!! Confidently felt one day i will be one of the guys on stage discussing something larger than life( PS: Economic Times Award, has always been my ultimate wish to winJ).There were 5 speakers discussing on

1. How to make everyone’s life digitally saver?
2. How we can prepare for the best ICT future?
3. What role will an individual play in mainstreaming digital transformation

Q&A time and someone from audience asked how can we improve as we people doesn't get motivated to learn nor act, to my surprise i heard some great answer from elite panel member and said, look show me where is bottleneck, The term bottleneck refers to the shape of a bottle and the fact that the bottle's neck is the narrowest point, and thus the most likely place for congestion to occur

It can be avoided when problem is being identified from TOP, means implementing ICT which looks like bottleneck form others can be solved by the TOP management people who sets vision for Educational Institutes, let them be role model to all and hence can be solved.well said, in simpler words, if a faculty works on new technology and aspire young mind to engage, students will learn something new because his/r faculty knows, But i was glad to hear ICTACT was being directly supported by Department of Electronics and IT, Ministry of Communication and IT.Government of India.

He is the son of poet and lyricist Vairamuthu.

Award function started and the list went on and on and was waiting for Best Techno Faculty Award session, Saw few photos initially but was disappointed as my name wasn't in the list and surprisingly as Romila said, Yes indeed my photo did appeared on large screen of Chennai Trade center. Beaming with happiness, i tapped my mother shoulder twice and said, amma here i am and went upon the stage hurriedly, My Name, My College Name, My State Name flashed on screen and told myself, i think i made my Institute, to the place where i belong Proud as just as i am today and went on stage.. the experience was in explainable, i was walking fast, crowd was applauding me because i was awarded a Trend setter in creating new teaching experience and crowd lauded insanely. Felt very great to shook hands with Mr.Lakshmi Narayan and said, good job boy and there upon recieved certificate from a person who became one of my inspirational person to

Efforts of integrating values and ethics

Mahatma Ghandhiji says, “Be the Change that you wish to see in the world” and yet few aspire to achieve excellence and few not. To introduce new idea, people/system resist and I am no exceptionally to face criticism from my own surroundings as I have been agitated on several fronts, discouraged by own colleagues, embarrassed by filthy words.

Regardless of dishonor I strongly believed in its outcome, being Creative is not our responsibility but rather it’s our inborn right to seek and shall find within us to make our life more beautiful and meaningful which actually is larger than life. My view goes beyond and I seek confidence in the direction of creating larger difference creating everlasting impressions.

Conclusion

Today, the focus of all of this intense interchange which may transcend the future of learning institutions. Our charge was to accept the challenge as an Information age by intersecting the existing and acknowledge, the responsibilities of learning at an epistemic moment when learning itself is the most dramatic medium of that change a better-educated world will be fairer and more caring world. Having arrived at this point, to encourage and make these changes to happen, management of various educational institutions, staff, and teachers should be given free hand in executing flip classroom which is new and convenient. By large every idea looks dull when originated, it will pick the pace only when sound environment is cultivated in extensive professional development which can increase student achievement and ensure students can believe in

Can we flip? A million dollar question which needs quick attention by all of us now.

PS- Flipped classroom concept can work more effectively where majority of students having work experience but accepting the reality, as few B-Schools (especially university affiliated MBA colleges) fails to attract working professional. It’s worth trying pro actively and can create big difference where there is less exposure than those colleges who can lead the movement.

Hi Spoo,

Still having a big question mark on my mind, i took amma with a hope to make her happy, its a duty of every child to make their parents proud and when find any opportunity, take them out and show your gratitude as we both were heading to ICTACT which is being initiated by Govt of India and organised by ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu, to which i was one among the 18 finalist for Best Techno Faculty 2015.

We picked Airavat Club class from KSRTC Bus stand at 3.01 PM a A/C travelling .Amma wasn't in favour me getting A/c bus way to Chennai but was no other chance in going on time but to pick 3 PM direct bus to Chennai.Darshan starer Bulbul Kannada movie was running which even made me not to watch and pondering being blank at mind while i tried to see glimpse of travelling.

Stepped back for food at 10 PM and that's how we started our part journey late night with chilled A/c and blanket to cover ourself. As the night crawls into her shadow i see blinks of lights shimmering upon long silence on blowing night sky telling.. its my prime time. Despite feeling uncomfortable amma slept on sliding chair hoping tomorrow his son will win a prize for which she is eagerly waiting for night to pass by in a second and see her dream coming in reality

Time 5.10AM reached Koyambedu, is a locality in the South Indian city of Chennai. The Koyambedu area has become a major hub of activity in Chennai City after the inauguration of the Koyambedu market and the CMBT. As i booked hotel near by Just Dial,the owner came by himself and picked us from auto and reached our place as it takes only 15 mins to reach. He gave us extra concession of Rs.400/- and allowed us to stay in 2 bed A/c room which was moderately built with not so spacious bathroom which i used to love but was little disappointed with they way it was handled, nevertheless we planned to see city after 10 AM and visit Chennai trade centre at 3 P. with this hope we two fall asleep tirelessly

There is always a flavour of Karnataka wherever you go, be it Mumbai or Dubai you can always find place to eat our own food and proud enough to know Udupi Hotel chain is one such remarkable hotel which makes life easy for people like us who comes from distant place and here it is, we find kannidiga making us comfort. We took hire a cab and tasted idli vada with Udupi hotel.

We turned our sight only on Marina Beach,Worlds 2nd largest beach to see her glory and should visit Dr.M.G.R and Anna Samadhi which was long wish for amma to see as she is die hard fan of MGR and who else doesn't love the mega star of Tamil Nadu who went on to become the brightest Chief Minister of TN.

If i need to mention 2 names to which i got familiar with Tamil during my childhood, it was MGR and Illayaraja the ace Music Director whose haunting songs do captivated my self imagination of what TN is.Just few steps away we admired C. N. Annadurai (15 September 1909 – 3 February 1969), popularly called Anna ("Elder brother"), or Arignar Anna (Anna, The scholar) was a former Chief Minister of the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. He was the first member of a Dravidian party to hold that post.

Amazing those sparkling minds who burns for others yet being grounded and serve people. I was still wondering what was our destiny to visit these 2 memorable people? was it predetermined for us to pay homage? was it a hint for my knowledge?? was it indeed a moment will change my thoughts forever?? bewildered by its countless unanswerable questions, visited his museum too and was awes-trucked by his quotes on People..Indeed it made me Think very deep and deep. while coming out those words too haunted till i returned to normal stage and i made promise, i shall use his quotes whenever i do take up social service real job.

Left place with a hope in my mind as nay impact my attitude towards rendering service, yes it made me to think deep.. am i born to do great service to the land where i belong too? my wish is to Put India always upfront where ever i go and lead, leading myself is leading my India and visit to these 2 great inspirational humans memorial was indeed blessed opportunity to experience something new, which i love the most

Hi Spoo,

i was just burning with deep desire in making Big of those crazy ideas which i have initiated in MBA.I shared my ideas with Umadevi Madame, encouraged by her vision i was visualizing some new day i can share with world, even discussed with Principal too. As said, i was very impatient in not missing a great opportunity of my innovations which has great potential in the way we teach and study. To my surprise sometime in October 2014, i was impatient by my Heart , saw an AD in Times of India which even made my condition worsen.It talked about 2 students(Hubli) who have experimented on Mlearning and was showcased in Main page which i already tried experimented

Still disappointed with my efforts( i have done my homework but i wanted to have proof in hand to deliberately tell whole world, without proof..everything is Zero), . I applied for MTC Global Award for Innovative Management pedagogy 2014, but result is on June 2015:-(.

A Erueka moment was borne on 28th Dec'15(Midnight) as i was fortunate enough to see a AD which made my eyes dugout .Was very happy to get what i was looking for but with little time left across to send details for Best Techno Faculty Award from Govt of India , organised by ICT Academy of TamilNadu

Took application out of it,my HOD and even principal was taken by surprise seeing a faculty is applying for a award??? guess what i saw those questions mark on their faces yet i remained to inform, let me try sir and they happily wished me Good Luck and i sent out hard copy by 30th Dec'15. I even sent a soft copy of all those information( my application/Proof of my achievements since 2 years). even i was on my last fast-lane, on a higher note by 3rd January 2015 i got call from

Romila called me up and said Arvind, your idea is short listed and 7th Feb pls come over to ICTACT.Chennai for giving a presentation to jury members on your idea.

Wowwwww that's kool, i couldn't believe my own ears but wondered how on earth can i make it up in 2 days. Inspiration can be drawn from everyone and i thought.. This is it, worked hard on my unique style of presentation, collected all relevant proof for submission, booked Airavat A/c Bus (2 way), hotel and took leave for a day.

I have good memory of visiting Chennai in 2006 for an placement interview. way back near nukambakam. Arrived with no help,with little Tamil on my tongue sat on city bus came to iway hotel which i booked earlier, by arriving felt happy to hear as they even talked in Kannada and i made myself in room, slept for hour and left to ICTACT which was 15 mins walk able distance.

On time i registered myself and meet Miss.Romila, i was asked to have breakfast and sat at corner looked for people with great inspirational, Seems like they all knew each and everyone. I saw few people sitting at distant places and i was an alien in alien state with no one backing expect my idea!

Sparked by being optimistic,i was little impatient as i booked return ticket back home by 4PM and it was high noon @ 12.15PM i was still not been interviewed?personally requested Romila to make me Up and my turn arrived to submit my proofs, presentation on a server to which i accessed at 1.15PM when they allowed me to present my ideas to 2 members jury.

I was happy as i have been short listed but even more i was happier as my idea got short listed and was very eager to share it to world which can make effective difference and there i kept on telling what i believe in, with this hope i prepared my presentation to make a impact as i thought why can't i make my 1st slide itself more energetic which shows my confidence

My Mind tickled on high note, i knew i was drawing my jury attention, one member in fact started shooting my explanation which boosted my morale even more higher.Was energised by jury members question

1. Tell me why you did all these?
2. what was your inspiration?
3. what have you got in return?
4. What made you to think, you should think out of box?
5. who supported to your ideas?
6. who humiliated you and how did you converted into an opportunity?
7. If you given a chance to go back, would you be satisfied for your work?
8. Do SWOT analysis?
9. Share your students feedback?
10. Above all, why did you went on doing many things?

Man, Can i answer???

to answer, i just went into their eyes and said what i wanted from heart... its an opportunity which i really didn't wanted to miss to give the best of best teaching style to my students, they come and go but the memories they take away from 2 years especially when i teach should be Wow!!!

I never expected anything from them, i never got what my students are receiving now but innovations is the key to success and i worked hard to learn something others felt is impossible.I was humiliated by my own people, they never understood what i was actually trying to convey. My concept was 3 Dimension which they never appreciated but i wanted to being a effective differences, i wanted to install more confidence in my students attitude, i wanted them to think out of box in real and i wanted them to enjoy my classes without being forced to learn

Took a hell stop and saw beam of positiveness in jury members accepting my idea which went straight into their head, took 25mins to finish off and saw few guys taking my video and photos while i teach for their documentation. Happily said bye to Romila and went hotel to check out, slept for 1 hour which caused me dearly as i missed my bus at 4PM, instead sat on same bus no where i came from shivamogga and started gazing sun eclipsing at Bay of Bengal, the prosperous mind started asking me a question again...

How can i make things still more simpler???

how can i transform myself to a better person?

how can i still change the world??
