I was raised on Sullivan's Island, SC, and this is my favorite spot there. This is my largest painting ever and the most vivid color ever. An artist friend told me that I would be brave to leave it like this instead of "finishing" it. Well, that's how it got it's title, "Home of the Brave." You get to put every color in the box into white. I recently saw a painting by Monet that was so luminous. He had used so many different colors to get that effect.
