And, at the Navy Birthday Ball in Oklahoma City a couple weeks ago, I got the privilege to speak with her. Our conversation was brief, but very encouraging.

After I thanked her for her stand against health care reform, I voiced my concern about the Democrats and my suspicion that, being Democrats, they’ll start to find (create) “problems” with how votes are cast or counted, or how elections have been grossly unfair in the past, or…whatever they can think of in order to get some sort of “Voting Reform” in play in time for the 2010 elections. (I left out the part about my being prone to conspiracy theories, but I’m pretty sure she picked up on it.)

Her reply?

“We’ll be OK, God is still on the throne.”

Now, for staunch members of the Armchair Politician Community, her answer might not suffice, but for anyone who understands true conservatism, her answer was spot-on.

The Republican party needs more Mary Fallins and Sarah Palins. Not because they are women, and not because they tell it like it is, but because they haven't hollowed out the core of conservatism-that core being God.

The conservative movement is becoming a force to be reckoned with, but will it be enough? Just this week I heard a man call into Rush's show and lament that Rush was "our only hope". Hearing this, I pounded my steering wheel and shouted, "And therein lies our problem! We are no different than the libs if we think our salvation-this country's salvation- lies in the hands of a man!" Don't get me wrong, I am not minimizing what Rush has done for the conservative movement. In fact, I contend that, for all practical purposes, we wouldn't have much of a conservative movement if it weren't for him.

But there are those who call themselves conservatives and extol the virtues of Reaganism, but wouldn't be caught dead saying something like this (though it desperately needs to be said)...

“We Americans are blessed in so many ways. We’re a nation under God, a living and loving God. But Thomas Jefferson warned us, ‘I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just.’ We cannot expect Him to protect us in crisis if we turn away from Him in our everyday living. But you know, He told us what to do in II Chronicles. Let us reach out to Him. He said, ‘If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land’.” ~R. Reagan

The fact is, those who want to bring back the Reagan Era while omitting the very core values Reagan held, will be sorely disappointed. I contend that it is not only a mistake to think we can stop Obama's break-neck sprint into socialism (fascism, communism...pick one) with a watered-down, Godless Reaganism, but it is also an exercise in false hope.

That conservatives want to protect American liberty is noble. That conservatives want a limited government that will adhere to the Constitution is admirable. But a Godless conservative movement with lots of steam, good policies, and some great talking points, will have very little staying power if it is not fueled with the Truth. We'll have our tea parties, our Joe the Plumbers, and, if we're lucky, a few more Sarah Palins, but if this nation continues to turn away from God, we will have no guarantee that the One who holds the universe will have our backs. We wouldn't be here if it weren't for Him, and we sure as heck aren't going to survive without Him. It's that simple.

There hasn't been a nation yet that has been able to withstand the assault of a determined communist movement. And, for the record, communism (along with all the other despotic "isms") is an ideology that demands, not only the eradication of individual liberty, but also the eradication of the God who grants that liberty. With this in mind, it is important to note that every nation that has fallen to communism had, over time, become Godless (with a big "G"). Quite simply, Godless nations cannot defeat an ideology hell-bent on destroying God-given liberties. It would be a little like asking Michael Moore to defeat obesity.

This brings us to our current conundrum. For reasons far too numerous for this post, gone are the days of America calling itself a Christian nation. That said, what makes us think we can hold back the tide of communism any better than the countries who have succumbed in the past? Tea Party Expresses, calling our congressmen, making our voices heard through our votes, and even listening to Rush, while valiant efforts, are small arms in what is truly a spiritual war.

"The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds." 2 Corinthians 10:4

I'd say a pathological liar for a president, a gaggle of a moral malcontents for czars, and a leftist Democrat congress are considerable strongholds. And, make no mistake, our current leaders do not care how much public support we manage to muster at tea parties or on Fox News. Despots don't plan their steps based on the polls. Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin, and Mao handled dissent with humiliation, intimidation, coercion, and violence. Obama and his henchmen will do much the same.

A tea party won't cut it. We need something bigger. We need Someone bigger.

Reagan had much to contend with, but he didn't have this scale of evil worming its way through his country. Even so, he repeatedly pointed this country back to its roots-back to the foundation of its founding...back to what he knew was the only avenue of victory for American greatness and liberty.

“We are never defeated unless we give up on God.” ~R. Reagan

It isn't Reagan's policies that should be restored and infused into this nation, but, rather, his zeal for and faith in God.

Reagan is dead; God isn't.

But critics -- especially in parts of the Arab and Muslim world -- called its decision premature.

I have to ask, what more do these towel heads want? They've got a U.S. president who has turned the war in Afghanistan into a game of military Duck Hunt, kissed Ahmadinejad's ring, and upgraded the status of the detainees in Gitmo to that of foreign diplomats. Are militant Muslims never happy?

Obama's press secretary woke him with the news before dawn and the president felt "humbled" by the award, a senior administration official said.

When told in an email from Reuters that many people around the world were stunned by the announcement, Obama's senior adviser, David Axelrod, responded: "As are we."

Humbled my arse. It's pretty safe to say he lept out of bed mumbling, "It's about damn time."

And Obama surprised about this? That's like saying he was surprised to find out ACORN needed another in service on how to vet pimps and prostitutes.

"Very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future," the committee said in a citation.

This translates: We are positively giddy over Obama's success. We've been waiting decades to award the Prize to the man who would finally bring down America. We know it seems premature, but he had us at "nationalized healthcare".

The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip and opposes a peace treaty with Israel, said the award was premature at best.

"Obama has a long way to go still and lots of work to do before he can deserve a reward," said Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri. "Obama only made promises and did not contribute any substance to world peace. And he has not done anything to ensure justice for the sake of Arab and Muslim causes."

What Zuhri means here is that Obama better step up his plans to help the Muslim world wipe Israel off the map. Then, and only then, will Obama be worthy of the Nobel in Allah's eyes.

The the Nobel committee defended its decision.

Nobel Committee Chairman Thorbjoern Jagland rejected suggestions from journalists that Obama was getting the prize too early, saying it recognized what he had already done over the past year.
"We hope this can contribute a little bit to enhance what he is trying to do," he told a news conference.

And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen, the criteria for the Nobel Peace Prize: One must unabashedly pander to the despots of the world, apologize for America's foibles, and hand American sovereignty over to the UN on a silver platter. I'd say Obama nailed this one...and that the Norwegian Nobel Committee is a bunch of blathering idiots.

Breaking no new historic ground,

Obama, laid out his vision for eliminating nuclear arms in a speech in Prague in April. But he was not the first American president to set that goal, and acknowledged it might not be reached in his lifetime.

Ya think?

By the way, history speaks against the attempt of eliminating arms. In 1928 the American Secretary of State, Frank B. Kellogg, promoted a Peace Pact which he invited all members of the League of Nations to sign. The Peace Pact was aimed at outlawing war and keeping Germany as impotent as possible: "The unqualified renunciation of all war as an instrument of national policy." Kellogg wanted to avoid another World War. Nothing wrong with that.

However, not everyone in the League wanted to sign off on it (FYI, the French thought it was a dandy idea.) Eliminating war sounds good, but human nature dictates its impossibility. As every leader in the world knows...that is, except Obama...you can trust your neighboring dictator about as far as you can throw his fat aunt. Hence the need for arms.

And while the world thought Germany was being restrained under the League's thumb, and while Kellogg promoted his Peace Pact, the Germans were in Russia and Sweden building up their army, manufacturing tanks and airplanes, and perfecting their chemical warfare skills. Oh, and the rest of Europe was doing pretty much the same thing.

See the pattern? Obama, absurdly enough, thinks Iran takes him seriously about the whole nuke thing. And while he disciples Ahmadinejad on the finer points of peace, Iran, along with the rest of the malcontents around the world, are mixing up plutonium Coyote Ugly style.

And, oddly (though not surprisingly) enough, to the Nobel committee, this is a good thing. And Muslims are critical of their choice of Obama because...?

So, to recap: The purpose behind handing the fascist rookie, Obama, the Nobel is to encourage him to keep up the good work. They want to secure his continued cooperation in tearing down America along with any nation remotely as free. They know he hasn't really done jack yet, but they know an egoist when they see one. Throw a few trinkets his way and he'll be putty in their hands...and America will be trampled under their feet.

What does this mean for our country? Well, now every thug around the world who has wanted to see the U.S. brought to its knees has just secured our president as their biggest ally. It also means our troops are screwed, and that they'll probably be sporting UN uniforms faster than you can say, "Allah wills it!".

The only difference between 1928 and today is that Germany at least feared America enough to hide what they were doing. Ahmadinejad, fearing America like Oprah fears a Twinkie, not only publicly boasts about the nuclear program that Obama so limp-wristedly told them to scrap, but markets it as well: “Iran is ready to transfer nuclear know-how to the Islamic countries due to their need.”

And, it is precisely because the despots of the world have decided to nuke-up that the Nobel committee would have done well not to have awarded a budding despot the Prize for making us all unsafe as hell...and that includes the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

Our troops have lost hope because we have a stark raving mad, narcissistic fascist for a president. (Did I leave anything out?)

It is gut-wrenching to see our soldiers demoralized like this. And, trust me, it is maddeningly infuriating to be married to an active duty military member whose commander in chief is not only frighteningly incompetent, but sadistically and pathologically dangerous as well. This man has no love for this country. He feels no duty toward our troops.

The short list is this:

Obama is intentionally and methodically making our troops vulnerable to the enemy.

Obama is intentionally and methodically destroying our economy.

Obama is intentionally and methodically killing what's left of the American work ethic.

Obama is intentionally and methodically creating a racially divisive America.

Obama is intentionally and methodically taking away the liberty of Americans.

Obama is intentionally and methodically destroying this great country.

And he still sleeps like a (spoiled) baby at night.

Make no mistake, it is a non-issue to Obama that the American people do not support his version of Commie-Fascism or his blatant disregard for the military. Obama does not care about poll numbers. Like Mussolini, he knows you don't need popular opinion to pull off a bloodless revolution, just enough gullible accomplices to get the ball rolling. Oh, and some fascist thugs who are willing to intimidate and beat people up...to get the ball rolling.

So, while our troops lose heart because they have been abandoned by their commander in chief; while they serve and suffer under a president who is turning out to be a bigger enemy than Al Qaeda, Obama further destroys America from within with his vapid rhetoric, his clandestine congress, and his manipulative benevolence toward the Hand Out Crowd who line up for his "free" money (aka, My Money).

This is not what our service men signed up for.

This once great nation, America, the land of freedom and endless possibility, that is what our men in uniform volunteered to defend. This effort will not remain winnable indefinitely, and nor will public support."

Apparently McChrystal pulling rank on Obama didn't go over so well with the talking heads at the White House.

The remarks have been seen by some in the Obama administration as a barbed reference to the slow pace of debate within the White House.

Nice to see that "some in the Obama administration" are able to grasp the obvious.

Gen McChrystal delivered a report on Afghanistan requested by the president on Aug 31, but Mr Obama held only his second "principals meeting" on the issue last week.

He will hold at least one more this week, but a decision on how far to follow Gen McChrystal's recommendation to send 40,000 more US troops will not be made for several weeks.

A military expert said: "They still have working relationship but all in all it's not great for now."

That might be because McChrystal, the man in charge of keeping the free world safe, has dutifully asked his commander in chief for permission to win and all he's getting is a back seat to Obama's PR schedule.

But it gets better:

Some commentators regarded the general's London comments as verging on insubordination.

FYI, 'commentator' as defined in the Leftist Media Lexicon (LML) is: "Any random person who acts as an armchair expert on a subject he knows nothing about. Can be a tenured news anchor, Hollywood activist, or the poor disgruntled schlub writing the story. Commentators need no credentials because that would require 'vetting', and, according to the LML, vetting is, "not practiced on members of the media or anyone the media proclaims is a commentator".

Oftentimes, the 'commentator' is someone from the academic world:

Bruce Ackerman, an expert on constitutional law at Yale University, said in the Washington Post: "As commanding general, McChrystal has no business making such public pronouncements."

Constitutional and lawyer...now there's an oxymoron. Given the Left's propensity for getting really credible 'commentators', I highly suspect Mr. Ackerman also thinks the Constitution implicitly states a president can take over the private sector.

Relations between the general and the White House began to sour when his report, which painted a grim picture of the allied mission in Afghanistan, was leaked. White House aides have since briefed against the general's recommendations.

Now, here's some hubris: The White House briefed "against the general's recommendations".

Which leads us to this question: Just who is more qualified to call the shots in Afghanistan, the general who is actually in Afghanistan, or our spoiled, man-child president who was stupid enough to use his outside voice when he said, "I'm not interested in victory"?

This question can only be answered by a comparison of the two men.

May I present Barack Obama and General McChrystal.

McChrystal:
<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; That's tantamount to Courtney Love vetting your baby sitter. Frightening doesn't even begin to cover it.

I'm not real impressed with the Democrats and their vetting skills. Call me picky, but didn't they vet Rahm Emanuel, tax fraud aficionado? And didn't Timothy Guietner come away from his vetting with two enthusiastic thumbs up even though he, like Emanuel, blew off paying his taxes?

Of course, sometimes the vetting does get a bit sloppy, as in the case of Van Jones, who, according to the White House:

"...was not as thoroughly vetted as other administration officials," the official said. "It's fair to say there were unknowns."

Actually, it's fair to say they forgot to tell him to keep his raving communist tendencies under wraps.

And let's not forget Kevin Jennings, Assistant Deputy Secretary for the Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools. This guy was obviously vetted by Barney Frank. Jennings' claim to fame is being the founder of GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network) and the brain child behind teaching school kids the fine art of "fisting". Did I mention that he is in charge of 'safe' schools?

Needless to say, if I were McChrystal and I was told by a gaggle of Democrats that they wanted to vet my military strategy, I'd give them the driving finger as I walked, locked and loaded, to my Humvee to kill some bad guys.

Bring it on!" (Or "Screw you." if you pressed 'one' for English.)

Bottom line: Public opinion, in Obama's America, is a non-issue, because, as our spoiled man-child leader has reminded us (ad nauseum), "I won...I am president."

He probably calls, "Shot gun!" when he runs to the limo.

Using this rubric, one can see how Chicagoans grumbling about having their city become the trolling ground for foreigners who are mad at us because we abandoned the free world and foreigners who now love us...because we abandoned the free world, would lead to Obama sauntering up to the IOC to sing the praises of Chicago hosting the games.

Make no mistake, this has nothing to do with Chicago, pride in America, or even the Olympic Games themselves. This has everything to do with Obama and the amount of face-time he will get if the games are in "his" country.

Again, it doesn't matter that a large segment of Chicago's population doesn't want the games on their turf; what matters is Obama wants the games on his turf.

I contend that the amount of time spent in an American public school classroom has zero to do with academic success. American school children lag behind because the local pub ed doesn't teach our kids squat.

American school children lag behind because the local pub ed is too busy teaching our kids how to think like liberals. (Which equates with not thinking at all.)

If the schools taught our kids how to think critically, then our kids would be able to see through the illogical and inane statements that come out of the mouths of our leaders. So when Obama says...

"We continue to call on Palestinians to end incitement against Israel, and we continue to emphasize that America does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements.

"The United States does Israel no favors when we fail to couple an unwavering commitment to its security with an insistence that Israel respect the legitimate claims and rights of the Palestinians.

"Nations within this body do the Palestinians no favors when they choose vitriolic attacks over a constructive willingness to recognize Israel's legitimacy."

...a student could process it and say, "Dude, did that make, like, any sense at all?" or "Woa! Obama just grabbed ankle for the Palestinians and, like, gave Israel the Heisman. That is so not good, man."

If the schools taught our kids the truth about history instead of the Democrat Party mandated Communist-Utopian-EnviroBunny drivel, then our kids would be able to process the current events (otherwise known as the ObamaPalooza) and say, "Hey, didn't Hitler want German kids in school all day too?" or "Hey, homey, didn't Stalin screw with the farmers in Russia sorta like Obama is doing in California?" or "Woa! Mussolini's thugs sound just like the Black Panthers!" and, my personal favorite, "Dude! History is repeating, like, for real!"

Sadly, this isn't the case. What we have in America these days are a gaggle of adolescents who hate Bush but can't conjure up an intelligent reason why; a gaggle of future voters who champion for Obama but don't have a clue that they are cheering on their own enemy.

But let's cut to the chase. When Obama waxes eloquent about wanting to ramp up our educational system via keeping the kiddos in school all the live long day, it's not really about education-it's about indoctrination. Obama wants America's minions spending extra hours in the local pub ed getting as much liberal propaganda as their vapid little minds can hold.

This should piss us off.

This should make the hair on the back of your neck stand on end.

History teaches that narcissists like Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, and Mao knew that the best way to ensure their success in the future was to hijack the minds of the youth. It would seem the only people who study history these days are dictators and despots. We might want to change that.

Here's a peek at the German pub ed in Hitler's day:

Education played a very important part in Nazi Germany in trying to cultivate a loyal following for Hitler and the Nazis. The Nazis were aware that education would create loyal Nazis by the time they reached adulthood. The Hitler Youth had been created for post-school activities and schools were to play a critical part in developing a loyal following for Hitler - indoctrination and the use of propaganda were to be a common practice in Nazi schools and the education system.

Enforcing a Nazi curriculum on schools depended on the teachers delivering it. All teachers had to be vetted by local Nazi officials. Any teacher considered disloyal was sacked. Many attended classes during school holidays in which the Nazi curriculum was spelled out and 97% of all teachers joined the Nazi Teachers' Association.

In America this is known as the NEA...

All teachers had to be careful about what they said as children were encouraged to inform the authorities if a teacher said something that did not fit in with the Nazi's curriculum for schools.

I wouldn't be breaking any new ground by listing all the similarities between Obama and Hitler. But it is important to wake up and realize that this man has actually come out and admitted that he feels your kids are better off in the possession of the government schools. Hear me on this: This has been done before with tyrants in the past (and Obama is a tyrant), and the damage done to those countries, not to mention entire generations of children, was monstrous.

At the risk of offending, if you take this lightly, you are being a fool.

It was Hitler who said, "How fortunate for leaders that men do not think." It is criminal that the leader of our government thinks he has the right to take liberties with our children, but I contend it is an even bigger crime if parents let it happen.

Well, 56 to be exact. Historians have long marveled at the number of times the Nazi dictator organized parades and huge spectacles in his own honor for the purpose of convincing Germany that the Nazi Party was the best thing since brats and beer.

Not to be outdone, our very own dictator emulator extraordinaire, Obama, by mid-August, had surpassed Hitler with 66 television interviews. September numbers are promising to push him comfortably in the 80's.

So, I guess one could conclude that Obama is trying to convince the American people that his regime is the best thing since...well...since Hitler?

Today I went to the retirement ceremony of a Navy Chief in my husband's squadron who had served for 20 years with a stint in Fallujah. But his time in Iraq is not the point of this story.

Near the end of a retirement ceremony, certificates and rewards are read. Typically, the audience claps right after each award is read. And that was the case today, except when we got to the reading of the Retirement Certificate.

The MC read the certificate:

"'I extend to you my personal thanks and sincere appreciation of our nation for your honorable service. You helped to maintain the security of the United States of America with a devotion to duty that is in keeping with the proud tradition of our Armed Forces.

I honor your service and respect the commitment and loyalty you displayed over the years.

Pretty standard, but then he got to the bottom of the certificate:

"My best wishes to you for happiness and success in the future.'

Signed by President Barack Obama."

.....crickets......

awkward silence

...clap....clap....finally applause.

You could cut that 5-10 second pause with a knife.

Note to self: If my husband retires while Obama is in office, get his Retirement Certificate signed by a former president.

In doing so, this man, our president, aligned America with the most dangerous and sociopathic leaders in the world.

Our president is a fool. He believes he is one of the heavy players in this game, but he is wrong. He is a pawn, mindlessly doing the bidding of the dictators and despots who have spent their lives trying to destroy America. They know blind leadership when they manipulate it.

Great. What our jug-eared clown of a president doesn't realize is that a large population of the world is laughing themselves silly over him. Many laugh because he's just that ridiculous, and others because they are giddy over the fact that Obama has pretty much tanked U.S. sovereignty, safety, and credibility. He is the wet dream of our enemies.

A few snippets from a preview his UN speech:

"Those who used to chastise America for acting alone in the world cannot now stand by and wait for America to solve the world's problems alone," Obama tells world leaders gathered here, according to excerpts of the speech released by the White House.

Once again, Obama is throwing a punch at the very people he had aligned himself with in the past. The ones who "chastised America" for acting alone were his leftist buddies world wide; they were the ones, along with the American Democrat Party, who worked overtime maligning Bush for having the intestinal fortitude to kick butt and take names. And now these people are being chastised by Obama. It's rich, really. I'm just wondering how long his fellow ideologues are going to put up with it.

White House aides billed the speech to heads of government and delegations in the UN chamber as a "historic" address that will lay out a "new direction" in US foreign policy.

In the excerpts, Obama outlines a series of grim scenarios from melting ice caps, nuclear weapons and protracted conflicts, to "extremists sowing terror in pockets of the world."

"I say this not to sow fear, but to state a fact: the magnitude of our challenges has yet to be met by the measure of our action," says Obama.

Not to sow fear? Pure, undiluted BS. Sowing fear and creating one crisis after another is how fringe Democrats and freedom-hating regimes worldwide have operated for years.

"We have been speaking directly to people around the world, including our friends across the Muslim world, with whom we launch new beginnings based on mutual interests and mutual respect."

True, Obama and the Muslim world have a mutual interest in seeing America's throat slit, but I beg to differ on the whole respect thing. From what I know about Muslims, they not only don't respect someone who sucks up to them, they despise it. Obama isn't earning their respect, he's earning their sneering nods while they sharpen their blades behind their backs. They know Obama is a fool and they will capitalize on it.

"This spirit of partnership is a defining feature of our foreign policy."

Dear God, help us. He is alienating us from our allies and climbing into bed with our enemies.

Interesting side note, Canada has stated they will walk out if Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad takes the floor. Sadly, it's not hard to imagine Obama giving him a standing O and then appearing on Late Night with Conan Obrien next week telling America that Ahmadinejad is really a neat guy.

The new US president's appearance at the United Nations offers world leaders a chance to size up his diplomatic leverage, as a long list of hefty domestic and foreign policy challenges bear down on the White House.

Oh, they'll be sizing him up all right, and laughing in their diplomatic limos all the way back to their embassies.

After humiliating the U.S. at the UN, Obama will be meeting with Russian president Dmitry Medvedev to get his "Atta Boy" sticker for abandoning the missile shield system in Eastern Europe. He'll then meet, for the first time, Japan's Prime Minister, Yokio Hatoyama.

Paterson

Bloomberg: NY Governor Patterson and Obama

Here's a riddle:

Q: Since when do presidents decide who can and who can't run for governor?

A: Since Obama became president.

O.k., it's not a funny riddle, especially to New York Governor David Paterson. The only thing slightly funny is Obama's fixation with being a mob boss.

No one at the White House has ordered Paterson not to run, said a White House official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Well, that's a comforting statement considering, constitutionally, they don't have the power to order such things anyway. (Like that's a deterrant to Obama...)

The administration shares the concerns of party leaders in New York that Paterson’s low standing in polls may hurt other Democrats in the 2010 election, the official said.

Using this logic, there is no way in hell they should let Obama run for a second term. But kudos to The Party for blaming America's growing disdain for all things Democrat on Paterson's low poll numbers. How convenient is that?

“I think people are aware of the tough situation that the governor of New York is in,” Gibbs said aboard Air Force One. The decision about whether to run is up to Paterson, he said.

It’s not unusual for a president to get involved in state and local politics, he said. “I would not subscribe to the notion that this is new,” Gibbs said.

First of all, Obama and his men have made it clear that the only thing left up to Paterson is whether he wants to wear cement boots or loafers in 2010. Secondly, that presidents getting involved in state and local politics isn't new is hardly the point. Tax evasion and prostitution aren't new, but that's hardly grounds for justifying them. (ACORN not withstanding of course.)

The parties of Communism, Socialism, Fascism, and Nazism, when they were seizing power, all made a mockery of the election process by wrecking havoc and then placing their own people in power. Obama, like the mealy-mouthed dictator he wants to be, is employing this modus operandi by putting a hit out on Paterson to his party then sitting back while his lackey's do his bidding. The mob has been using this tried and true tactic rather successfully in a little town called Chicago, Obama's training ground.

“It’s not just the governorship that’s at stake,” Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion said in a blog. “Paterson’s pick to replace Hillary Clinton in the U.S. Senate, Kirsten Gillibrand, also has very shaky numbers” with an approval rating of 26 percent, he said. She faces election in November 2010.

This translates into one thing: The Democrats know they are getting the stink-eye from the American people. Who they run is pretty much a non-issue at this point. If there is a (D) anywhere near their credentials, it spells doom. They know this, and that is why they are resorting to mob-style politics. It's not about who they want to run in an election, it's all about who they want to have in place when they steal the election. If this seems too conspiratorial, think Minnesota and Al Franken.

We Conservatives must walk that thin line between letting the Democrats hang themselves with their antics, and us protecting and taking back the very positions they are jockeying for. Fortunately for our side, the more they finagle, manipulate, and coerce the more they show how reprehensible they really are.

I'm afraid we are only just beginning to see the circus that will be the 2010 elections. Conservatives need to stay the course. It's going to be a long year.

How many times was he on TV last week? Five...hundred? I lost count. The question begs: While he's pimping for a SAG card, whose running the country?

But I have to give credit where credit is due. While he is an abysmal failure at being president, he does have some mad acting skills.

When asked by George Stephanopoulos whether he was going to cut funding to ACORN, he had this reply:

"You know, it's--frankly, it's not really something I've followed closely. I didn't even know that ACORN was getting, uh, uh, a whole lot of federal money."

See? Mad skills... or he's a sociopathic liar who is more than willing to throw his ACORN cronies under the bus. My money's on both.

Hmm...I don't see anything wrong with this ad except that it might just be the first honest one to be in print in decades.

But Fox's competitors don't agree.

ABC spokesman Jeffrey Schneider described the ad as "outrageous and false." NBC spokeswoman Lauren Kapp said that "the facts . . . prove it wrong." CNN spokeswoman Edie Emery called the ad "blatantly false."

And, according to the Huffington Post Fox News Newspaper Ad Makes False Claims About Tea Party Coverage. Well, that pretty much settles it; Fox is dead wrong and somehow, we all must have missed CNN, NBC, ABC, and MSNBC's hourly updates on the Tea Party. Funny, whenever I turned to those stations all I saw was Obama's ugly mug. My TV must be on the fritz.

As long as we are whining over "blatantly false" ads, I'd like to offer up a few that I think fit the bill.

First, this little dandy from California is the front-runner in the Democrat's favorite game of Race-Baiting for Health Care.

Next up is one from Greenpeace. Aside from the obvious question, "How did they calculate that 90 year number?", to my knowledge, you can't actually grow a box of Kleenex, but I could be mistaken.

And we all know this ad is patently untrue. Since when do Democrats require people to register to vote?

And this little gem from the World Health Organization. As I wrote in an earlier post, Cheng was the wife of a Shell Oil Company executive. The Chinese division of Shell Oil had been in good standing with Communist government in China, but Mao, in his disdain for all things capitalist and Western, changed that. Obama's minions would do well to note that a despot's enemies list is subject to change based on the whims and ever evolving prejudices of said despot.

The scene is the ransacking of her house by Mao's Red Guards, a vehemently zealous group of teenage malcontents who were a stunning testament to the efficacy of brainwashing school children for the purpose of bullying people into submitting to a government they don't want. (By the way, have you checked out what ideology your local pub ed is teaching to your kids? Just asking.)

Considering Obama's obvious disdain for the Constitution and capitalism, and considering his recent national address to America's school children, I think the following is apropos:

The leading Red Guard, a gangling youth with angry eyes, stepped forward and said to me, "We are the Red Guards. We have come to take Revolutionary action against you!"

Though I knew it was futile, I held up the copy of the Constitution and said calmly, "It's against the Constitution of the People's Republic of China to enter a private house without a search warrant."

The young man snatched the document out of my hand and threw it on the floor. With his eyes blazing, he said, "The Constitution is abolished. It was a document written by the Revisionists within the Communist Party. We recognize only the teachings of our Great Leader Chairman Mao."

"Only the People's Congress has the power to change the Constitution, I said.

"We have abolished it. What can you do about it? he said aggressively while assuming a militant stance with feet apart and shoulders braced.

Forgive me for interrupting and pointing out the obvious, but do you see some frightening parallels here? Obama has all but shredded our Constitution; and as far as Congress goes, it has been reduced to a body of mindless Obots who are more than willing to drag those who oppose them to the House floor for self-incrimination. How long will it be before we cite our Constitutional rights only to have the ruling party tell us it has been abolished?

But on with the story.

A girl came within a few inches of where I stood and said, "What trick are you trying to play? Your only way out is to bow your head in submission. Otherwise you will suffer." She shook her fist in front of my nose and spat on the floor.

And later, Cheng, showing a capacity for grace that I'm pretty sure I don't possess, writes:

"...I thought as I listened to the Red Guards overhead. They seemed blissfully happy in their work of destruction because they were sure they were doing something to satisfy their God, Mao Zedung. Their behavior was the result of their upbringing in Communist China. The propaganda they had absorbed precluded their having a free will of their own."

I'll let you call me paranoid when Obama and his party stop acting like every other despot that has gone before him.

But he softened the blow yesterday:

"We will continue to work cooperatively with our close friends and allies, the Czech Republic and Poland who had agreed to host elements of the previous program. I've spoken to the prime ministers of both the Czech Republic and Poland about this decision and reaffirmed our deep and close ties. Together we are committed to a broad range of cooperative efforts to strengthen our collective defense and we are bound by the solemn commitment of NATO's Article 5 that an attack on one is an attack on all"

I'm not claiming any expertise on this issue, but this sounds a lot like we are pretending to stand by our "close friends and allies" while we appease the likes of Russia, Iran, and North Korea who are not exactly "close friends or allies" with anyone...except our own Democrat Party.

It might be prudent to get the Democrat's "Put-Bush-Up-On-War-Crimes" camp up to speed on Nato's Article 5, because, thanks to Obama's stellar foreign policy skills, we might have to go to the aid of the very "close friends and allies" we just threw under the bus. And this could prove dicey since there is no telling who Obama considers our "close friends and allies". OK, I'm just being nice. I think we all know any nation that opposes capitalism, individual liberty, and the right to disgree with one's governement is a "close friend and ally" to Obama...but not to the rest of the free world.

Meet Li Zensheng, a news photographer during China's Cultural Revolution.

This from the write-up for an exhibit of his work: Red-Color News Soldier

The Cultural Revolution in China (1966–76) remains one of the most complicated political movements of the twentieth century. Almost no visual documentation of the period exists; that which does is influenced by government control over media, arts, and cultural institutions. Li Zhensheng (b. 1940), a photojournalist living in the northern Chinese province of Heilongjiang during the revolution, managed, at great personal risk, to hide and preserve more than 30,000 negatives during the ten-year period. He made images as a party-approved photographer for the Heilongjiang Daily. This body of work is the only known existing photographic documentation of the Cultural Revolution.

The following are pictures from Zensheng's work. I'm pretty sure these are framed and hung over the fireplaces of a few prominent Democrats.

This is what the Democrats want to do to Sen. Joe Wilson. It's called self-incrimination. The Chinese government under Mao Tse-tung employed this rather effective tactic on anyone who didn't do the Happy Dance in favor of Mao's Cultural Revolution. Actually, they even did it to those who had been loyal to the party but had fallen out of favor for one reason or another. The reasons, by the way, never had to be justified.

Humiliation was the main ingredient in Mao's fight against dissent, real or imagined. In a culture that highly valued personal honor and integrity, this was an especially effective tactic for convincing the Chinese people that Mao really was a nice guy and wanted the best for them.

This man is probably being jeered at by people who used to be his friends and neighbors. Often, family members and close friends were ordered to write incrimination papers about the person who was to be "disciplined". They would then have to stand up and read these papers in front of a crowd and the one being humiliated.

Think Joe Wilson standing on the House floor apologizing to his peers for pointing out that our president is a pathological liar.

Never, ever entertain for one moment that the Democratic Party is breaking new ground. That we haven't seen this type of behavior in America...yet, is not only evidence of grace from above, but also evidence that the American spirit flat-out won't allow it. It is this that has the Democrats mad as hell.

Liberal Democrats are continually pilfering from the playbooks of despots, dictators, and radicals. And, if we are willing to learn, there exist warnings from those who have lived under oppressive and abusive governments. We would do well to heed these warnings for they came at great risk for the purpose of making sure these types of governments are stopped before they start.

Unfortunately, America is behind the power curve when it comes to heeding the warnings of history.

For Fascism the State is absolute, individuals and groups relative." ~ Mussolini

Some have rightly called Obama a Fascist, citing the shining example of Mussolini. But there is a difference between Obama's Fascism and Mussolini's:

"The task of Fascism was to weld the nation into an organic whole that would work for the greatness of Italy." Martin Gilbert A History Of the Twentieth Century.

If Gilbert is right, it would seem that Mussolini, in his own evil, twisted way felt some sense of national pride. Obama can't boast that. Obama's fascism is born out of pure hatred for this country. Period.

I'm not sure what is worse: A Fascist dictator who loves his country, or one who hates his country. I guess we will soon find out.

I know, it sounds paranoid, but have you seen the Democrats lately? Trust me, this is definitely the road they'd love to go down.

I've plugged this book before, but it's worth plugging again. In her book, Life and Death in Shanghai, Nien Cheng, a former Shell Oil executive in Mao's Communist China, tells just how these things work. The similiarities between the Cultural Revolution in 1960's China and the Liberal agenda that is playing out in this country today are breathtaking...in the most disturbing way.

At the risk of sounding like a book review, this book should be required reading for anyone who wants to truly understand the mental game of the Left.

The impetus behind this album came from his participation in the Conspiracy of Hope Tour for Amnesty International. Now, I am not normally an ardent fan of entertainers who morph into the Mercy Police. You know, those stars who love the environment almost as much as they hate American capitalism; the ones who fly private jets to impoverished nations for photo ops with sickly children and then get whisked away to their 5-star hotel. Yea, those guys.

But I didn't know about all the duplicity when I first heard this album. What I did know was that Sting had toured Latin America and saw, first-hand, how despots ravage the soul of a nation. In the song, "They Dance Alone", from the same album, he singles out the mourning ritual of women who have lost their husbands and sons by the hands Chilean dictator August Pinochet. The whole album is worth a long listen.

I nearly played the grooves out of this album in my college days. My world view at the time was a veritable soup-salad, but one of the themes of this album affected me deeply and served to drive my passions to this day: History will teach us nothing.

Sting was right.

The clarion call from the true Conservative Right is one of stern warning to this nation to pay attention to the lessons of history. Obama's agenda is unlike Mussolini's, Stalin's, or Pinochet's only in that it hasn't come into full bloom yet. Will an Obama regime be like that of dictators of the past who tortured their own people for dissenting? Hard to say. If he gets two terms, it's less hard to say. I'd like to think it wouldn't happen in this country (provided a few good red necks manage to stash away several guns and a Bible or two), but did we ever think we'd get to the point where we would question when life begins...or to the point when we wouldn't question a government take over of private businesses?

Allow a little history lesson from the very distant past.

Disclaimer for the spiritually challenged: If the tenants of the Christian faith cause you to suffer from uncontrolable bouts of Turett's, you might as well stop reading from this point on. What I offer here is not a load of hyper-spiritual, get on your knees and repent (though we should...we definitely should) exhortations ; what I offer you is a history lesson-one that this nation would do well to learn.

"Your own evil will discipline you;
your own apostasies
will reprimand you.
Think it over and see how evil
and bitter it is
for you to abandon the Lord your God
and to have no fear of me." Jeremiah 2:19

"For my people are fools;
they do not know Me.
They are foolish children,
without understanding.
They are skilled in doing what is evil,
but they do not know how to do what is good." Jeremiah 4:22

"When you speak all these things to them,
they will not listen to you. When you call to them,
they will not answer you. You must therefore
declare to them: This is the nation that would not
listen to the voice of the Lord their God and would
not accept discipline. Truth has perished-it has
disappeared from their mouths." God to Jeremiah 7:27-28

"This is what the Lord says:
Stand by the roadways and look.
Ask about the ancient paths:
Which is the way to what is good?
Then take it
and find rest for yourselves.
But they protested: We won't!
I appointed watchmen over you and said:
Listen for the sound of the ram's horn.
But they protested: We won't listen!" Jeremiah 6:16-17

"Therefor listen, you nations
and you witnesses,
learn what the charge is against them.
Listen earth!
I am about to bring disaster
on these people, the fruit of
their own plotting, for they have paid
no attention to My Word.
They have rejected My law." Jeremiah 6:18-19

These were just some of the warnings God told Jeremiah to give to the people of Israel. God's bottom line: Reject Me and you are toast.

Suffice it to say, despite God's repeated grace and mercy towards them, Israel rarely listened.

Now, I'm not learned when it comes to prophesies, so I don't go there, but anyone willing to learn can look back and see that there is one constant in the cycle of history: Nations who have abandoned God don't do so hot.

Israel willingly caved to the whims of worthless godless kings and the false religions of surrounding nations. Sound familiar? Mind you, these were God's chosen people. They knew better. They had been warned. Chosen people or not, our nation's founding had a definite Christian twist to it. And let's be honest, the nation's broken moral compass not withstanding, just like Israel, we do know better than to do the things we are doing. (A certain video of an agency our president used to work for comes to mind.) Ignorance won't be an acceptable defense come Judgment Day. Just sayin'. (Yes, I said Judgment Day.)

The "catalog of crimes" Israel perpetrated against God and the discipline God meted out on them serves to show us that we are utter fools if we expect a different outcome for the very same offenses.

But since, historically, history has taught us nothing, I guess we are fools. For further exhortations on this, see my post about Public Education in America.

What I mention here are not the 'human' systems Sting laments in the opening verse of his song. The human systems are the very ones that breed clowns like Pinochet and Obama. What I am referring to is the system of the One who is the ultimate creator and judge of all the world. Sorry if this offends-I don't make the rules.

These days my world view is in tact and it is Biblical. (Though, marvelously flawed vessel that I am, one would be justified in questioning this on many and varied occasions.) And while I don't share Sting's religious or ideological preferences, his words still ring true. History will teach us nothing, especially if we continually refuse to learn.

From the looks of the bill from Max Baucus, everything from sugar sweetened drinks to the elastic in your underwear will be subject to taxation in order to fund the government screw up of health care in America. OK, I'm exaggerating a little, the underwear elastic tax is only for those whose median income is less than $500,000 per year and more than $6.

This transcript from Rush Limbaugh's site, What's Hidden in the Baucus Bill?, is evidence of what happens when the word "compromise" gets bandied around congress. Any good Republican, if there is one, should know by now that a) compromising with a Democrat is political suicide, and b) Democrats don't compromise. Baucus is no exception.

"I very much hope and do expect Republicans to be on board. I don't know how many, but if there are not any, I'm going to move forward in any event."

The "Revenue Raising" portions of the Baucus Bill that Limbaugh reads are frightening enough, but when you also take into consideration that Obama and his henchmen will move forward even though the American people are dead-set against it, well, frightening gets moved up a notch to certifiably terrifying. And I'm not even talking about health care issues (neither does much of the bill); I'm talking about the fact that, if this bill passes, none of us will be able to afford dental floss, let alone get permission from the government to use it.

Make no mistake, we have a fascist dictator for a president and a gaggle of like-minded Democrats who won't stop until everyone in this country is reduced to a Cuban level of misery...everyone but themselves, that is.

And I also hope that that person who speaks at my funeral will spice things up a bit by adding to my eulogy some well placed digs at his loyal followers . Yep, that's what I want at my funeral.

And lucky for Walter Cronkite, that's what he got when Obama sauntered his self-proclaimed enigmatic self up to the podium to speak at his memorial service. And present was Obama's loyal media who, with wide teary eyes, listened duitfully as Obama castigated them for... being loyal.

"And this is how we remember Walter Cronkite today. But we also remember and celebrate the journalism that Walter practiced -- a standard of honesty and integrity and responsibility to which so many of you have committed your careers. It's a standard that's a little bit harder to find today."

Call me overly sensitive, but I'd probably execute one of those "Excuse me?" brow crinkles if I were member of his media elite and I heard this. But it gets better.

"We know that this is a difficult time for journalism. Even as appetites for news and information grow, newsrooms are closing. Despite the big stories of our era, serious journalists find themselves all too often without a beat. Just as the news cycle has shrunk, so has the bottom line."

This is a difficult time in journalism only in that journalists have been banned from actually practicing journalism. Obama's lackey's in the MSM aren't the sharpest crayons in the box, but they do know that investigating those 'big' stories and working the 'beat' would earn them a pink slip and cavity search from Obama's thought police. And might I add that I'm pretty sure it's not the news cycle that's shrinking, but, rather, the collective kahunas in the news room.

"And too often, we fill that void with instant commentary and celebrity gossip and the softer stories that Walter disdained rather than the hard news and investigative journalism he championed. "

Yep, he's got us all pegged with this one. We'd all much rather watch Katie Couric interview Lil Wayne, and see Chris Matthews throw softball questions at his own daughter than have a true, bonafide journalist relentlessly drill Obama about his health care plan or inquire of Barney Frank why his mother never fixed that lisp.

"What happened today?" is replaced with "Who won today?"

On orders from the White House, the MSM isn't allowed to ask, "What happened today". Guess the President didn't get the memo.

"The public debate cheapens. The public trust falters."

Translation: The public doesn't trust you because you work for me. The debate has cheapened and it's your fault. I will make you look as ignorant and unprofessional as I really am. While you do my bidding, I will malign you, and you'll learn to like it. Keep up the good work or you'll find a horses head in your bed.

"We fail to understand our world or one another as well as we should -- and that has real consequences in our own lives and in the life of our nation. "

Well, at least he has the consequences thing right, but I contend that it's the left side of this country that has a problem with understanding. Thanks to the hard-hitting and fact-filled reporting coming out of Obama's media, America's liberals think terrorists have a sensitive side and Obama really won't pull the plug on Grandma.

"We seem stuck with a choice between what cuts to our bottom line and what harms us as a society. Which price is higher to pay? Which cost is harder to bear?"

So, I guess he's saying that the journalistic malpractice that his media lackey's perform is more profitable than actual hard-core, old-school journalism. Trust me, that won't last. Again, if I were a media dweeb who had abandoned my ethics and jumped on the Obama Thought Reform bus, I'd be thinking he was getting ready to throw me under said bus for earning a few bucks by doing exactly what his administration told me to do.

"This democracy," Walter said, "cannot function without a reasonably well-informed electorate." That's why the honest, objective, meticulous reporting that so many of you pursue with the same zeal that Walter did is so vital to our democracy and our society: Our future depends on it."

Key phrase here: Reasonably well-informed. Not "really well-informed"; not "highly well-informed", but "reasonably well-informed". The media, to their credit, has been Obama's willing accomplice in ensuring that the bar never inches above "reasonably well-informed". In fact, Obama's media has worked overtime trying to lower the bar to "dismally-uninformed" because that's what his administration needs in order to continue paving America's highway to hell.

And the only thing that can be said about honest, meticulous, objective reporting is that Obama doesn't want any of it going on around him or his administration.

"He understood the challenges and the pressures and the temptations facing journalism in this new era. He believed that a media company has an obligation to pursue a profit, but also an obligation to invest a good chunk of that profit back into news and public affairs."

Translation for this baby goes something like this: Media companies, like all big corporations with CEOs who make scads of money in this evil capitalist market, are hereby notified that they will be returning a good chunk (aka: all) of their profits back over to the government (aka: Obama) who will soon be running the whole shebang anyway. If this is confusing to you, think General Motors.

I've said it before, and it bears repeating: There is no loyalty among Democrats. (Actually, truth be told, I said there is no loyalty among Communists, but why split hairs?)

Obama's media darling, Chris Matthews, didn't know how right he got it when he said Obama was the last Kennedy brother. I just hope Matthews and his colleagues recognize the Kopechne technique when they see it, because not only won't Obama save them when they drown, he'll be the one who drives them into the river.
