At the 2022 Pop Culture Power Show in Stafford, TX, Frank picked up some original sketches for himself and the guts. We're all fans of Angel Medina, who does these wildly detailed warm-ups on tracing paper and sells them quite economically at shows. Frank kept the Patsy Walker Hellcat for himself, because of course he did, which is an excellent piece and the best possible scan. Illegal Machine got a Captain America, because Angel didn't have any Iron Man stiff, but this is a lousy scan from off a FedEx Office Xerox copy of an already kind of faint pencil sketch. Mr. Fixit's Thanos/Lady Death copy of a copy turned out better. If you like these, be sure to check out Frank's Mongul Commission and Black Canary JLA JAM segment, also by Angel Medina!

Jack Monroe as Nomad? On the plus side, it runs under a buck-twenty, and we get a fair amount of comics talk before the greater MCU tangents and freakin' Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stuff seeps in! Is this the greatest super-hero movie, or even just the best Star Spangled Avenger one? Opinions vary! Excelsior!

Face Front, True Believer! Illegal Machine's back on his gap years Armored Avenger reading with the launching story arc for Iron Man Volume 4, written by Warren Ellis with painted art by Adi Granov! This story heavily influenced the 2008 movie, and was the basis for its 2013 sequel, plus was turned into a 2010 motion comic by the short-lived Marvel Knights Animation! Then Diabolu Frank offers a brief look at Granov's 2013 mini-series Captain America: Living Legend with Andy Diggle! And on occasion, Mr. Fixit talks a little bit, espcially during a What If...? season two tangent! And if you stay for the stinger, X-Men/Wolverine talk! Diabolu Frank leans into hellish handle by insisting Illegal Machine & Mr. Fixit join him in exploring the comics and cinematic life of Matthew Michael Murdock, the most famous blind defense attorney in the Marvel Universe! Oh, and also "The Devil of Hell's Kitchen," which was a much more imposing monicker before it gentrified into Clinton! We span the origin through an overview of the comics from 1964-2014 (we're completely ignorant of the past decade, so maybe call this a very belated half-century celebration?) Our emphasis of course is on the Frank Miller years through Mark Waid (with a curious detour into Bengal territory!) And as is our tendency, we get into the adaptations into animation and live action, primarily 1989's The Trial of the Incredible Hulk, BlindFleck in 2003's Daredevil, Bennifer Garner's 2005 Elektra, and 2016's Netflix Daredevil! Season 2! And by extention, there's side chats on Elektra Natchios, Frank Castle, and so on! Excelsior!

Face Front, True Believer! We're well into the fifteenth year of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so deep that we didn't notice when the third Iron Man movie celebrated a decade months ago. Illegal Machine, Diabolu Frank and Mr. Fixit fulfill contractual obligations to cover Shane Black's follow-up to the movie that revived Robert Downey Jr.'s career, the vastly superior Kiss Kiss Bang Bang... oh, and also the Iron Manses, we guess. Three times the Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow) Potts, Don (Terrence Howard) Cheadle, and even an UnHappy (Jon Favreau) Hogan (not to mention another cameo by Stan "The Man" Lee himself!) Yet, it still rests around the bottom of most MCU rankings, aside from the Box Office ones? Plus, relatively spoiler-free Secret Invasion half-season criticism from Frank! Excelsior!

Face Front, True Believers! We're celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the first successful Marvel movie, New Line Cinema's Blade, a favorite episode of ours from a half-decade back! Oh, you want new material? Well, we're a year late to observe Blade II's second decade, and a year early for Blade: Trinity, but just about right on time for Eric Cross Brooks' half-century birthday in the April 17, 1973 Tomb of Dracula #10. We'll do a deeper (but not stake-thru-the-heart deep) dive into the Vampire Hunter's comic career, including his main solo and group series like Nightstalkers. Then we get into the media, including all the movies, anime, and the 2006 TV series "House Of Chthon". Excelsior!

Illegal Machine & Mr. Fixit observe the conclusion of the Ant-Man trilogy that directly contradicts the previous film and also technically this is the second "...and the Wasp" flick even though she's barely a blip in it also launch of Phase Five plus Loki but all the Kangs, too! Funny? Actiony? Auntie? Just be glad Frank sat this one out, or it would have been 200 minutes of gripes with a 90 minute stinger! We're barely over 45 minutes for the entire thing as a duo! You want more of this, right? Excelsior!
